How to Draw a LeafWing
So, the second reply I got on the vote was to do a LeafWing, from @learnerslibrary ! So let's get started!
Step 1: like with the SeaWing, start with a circle.
Step 2: add a rectangle for the snout.
Step 3: draw an s shape touching the rectangle and a c shape touching the circle to make the neck.
Step 4: draw a line above the neck to indicate where the sail will go (it should get higher the closer to the wings it gets).
Step 5: go to another layer, or switch to a pen if your working with traditional, and round the snout. Make sure that the end pokes up slightly in a horn-like shape, since all the Pantalan dragons have those.
Step 6: add the mouth. LeafWings usually only have two curves in their mouth, but I still like to do three, to make it less confusing for me.
Step 7: go over the line that forms the jaw and chin.
Step 8: draw a sideways v for the beak, and a line going from the end of the snout to the eyebrow ridge, then up in a curvy line to make the horn.
Step 9: draw the bottom of the horn in.
Step 10: draw the ear.
Step 11: draw the eye (you can use the line as a guide, like in the last tutorial).
Step 12: draw a line following the snout that goes from the end of the beak to the eye. This will be used as a guide later on.
Step 13: draw a curve on the horn that starts at the bottom and connects to the top. This makes it look like the horn is twisting.
Step 14: continue the line from before and connect it to the curve in the horn. You can also add the nostril.
Step 15: draw slightly curved lines in between the two lines along the snout and head.
Step 16: draw in the other horn.
Step 17: draw in the bottom part of the beak.
Step 18: go over the neck.
Step 19: draw in a line for the underbelly.
Step 20: draw a similar line along the back. This will be a guide for the back plates later on.
