Thanks to all does who read,voted and commented on my previous one shot, I deeply appreciated it.

This one shot starts from where Arnav exposed Sheetal in front of the family but with a twist.

Once again Shanvtivan is in mourning, mourning for the injustice committed against a poor soul again.

The one who always put the needs of others first even when it's slowly killing her, but once again she has been hurt.

The atmosphere in Shantivan has become unnerving and born chilling for all the inhabitants in the mansion.

On the sofa sat a remorseful Nani and Anjali, one crying for injustice she has constantly been committing all in the blind love to see her granddaughter happy and smiling whilst the other felt disgusted of her very existence.

On the opposite side sat an ashamed Mami who for the first time was soo ashamed of herself to an extent that she wished the earth had open up and swallowed her.

Behind stood Akash and Arnav, one in shock and the other in pain and fear and by the door ways stood six police women and two constables with a hand cuffed Sheetal cursing herself for coming into the lives of the RAIZADAS.

On the immediate opposite stood a crying Aarav, his basketball teacher, Sheetal's landlady and the head of orphanage where he was adopted.

In front of Sheetal stood NK and in the middle stood Khushi.

"I can't believe all this while we were feeding and sheltering a criminal and in the process almost losing our khushi ...... You disgust me but you." Pointing to NK. "How could you help this woman after finding out her motive of being in this house....... How could you still help her.

By now Nani was crying and being consoled by Anjali and Mami, whilst the others excluding Khushi threw a disgusting look at their culprit and Sheetal's accomplice NK.

Whilst the others were busy throwing daggers at NK, Khushi moved closer to him and lifted his bowed head and raise it to look at her best friend who was continuously crying and then wiped his tears and shook her head signaling him to stop crying.

"Why did u do this " asked a surprisingly calm Khushi and NK then moved khushi's hand from his face and held it into his hands and gently kissed her knuckles, a move that surprised others and angered Arnav who moved to pull NK off his wife but was held back by Akash who whispered into his ears.

"This is not the right time bhai, let them have their moment"

"I did because I had to......I had to take u away from this man"Leaving Khushi's hand and pointing at Arnav who stood flabbergasted just like the others. " And these people who only knew how to hurt you for their selfish and dump Anjali.......I know I should have told you about Sheetal after I discovered her motive after the basketball match but I thought this could also help me seperate u from him. Because I LOVE U KHUSHI " said NK

This shocked everyone and Arnav move and pushed Khushi aside and held on to NK's collar shaking him and punching him repeatedly.

It took Akash and the constables to pry Arnav off NK who was by now on the floor with a split mouth.

Khushi run to her best friend and helped him up and cleaned his bleeding mouth with her dupatta.

Arnav moved away again from Akash to pry his wife off NK when the next word from khushi stopped him in his track with shock written all over his face and of the others and they bowed their heads in shame after khushi was done.

"Don't u dare come any closer to us Mr Arnav Singh Raizada......I was having a conversation with my best friend so please do not interfere again because unlike you and your family I try to find out the entire truth before jumping into a conclusion....... So move back and shut up and i don't want to hear any one's voice apart from Nanhe" yelled Khushi and turned to NK again.
Khushi then asked in a gentle voice with a smile and teary eyes. "why do I feel there is more to this than you falling in love with me......Nanhe.......It's hurt to love me right? "

Nk moved closer to khushi shaking his head and said.

"No, Khushi, it didn't hurt loving you....... In fact loving you was the best thing and experience in my entire existence......... it was the expectation that hurts never the love ........Khushi...... I loved u from beginning but knew you weren't mine but after I found out about ASR's atrocities against you I had to act fast to save you. "

By now Nk' s voice was laced with disgust and pure hatred.

Others stood confused as to what NK was talking about but Arnav knew exactly what he was talking about and the look on Arnav's face made them realise everything NK is about to say is true.

"I had to do it because this man has given you nothing but pain from the beginning....... From the fashion show where he locked you up and manhandled u which led to Payalji's broken marriage......... The release of the video which led to you getting molested and paved the way for Shyam to enter your life......... The maltreatment you got while working at AR which led to u almost losing your life twice when a car almost run over you and the building collapsing on you......force you into a contract marriage after he heard a half conversation between you and Shyam and concluded that you were having an affair with Shyam and blackmailing you by using Akash and Payalji's married as a pawn and verbally,  physically and emotionally torturing you.......And even now when life gave him a second chance at making you happy he blamed you and hurt you for doing the DNA test when he should have blamed himself and this insensitive family for comparing aarav to him but no ,what did he do!?....... He rather blamed you.......  The one who always trusted him and loved him with all his flaws when he never trusted you when he had no reason to, all for what!?....... To satisfy his ego and his lump noddle of a di.......Everything he has ever done to you was for these two reasons, from ur contract marriage, calling you the biggest mistake of his life.......kicking you out after you brought their criminal damadji back after all the emotional blackmail, to Sheetal, everything was because of that nothing else.......Yes, I did wrong by helping Sheetal but it wasn't for me khushi, it was for you...... I know you will never love me as a man but I couldn't help it because after your marriage to him the forever bubly and everywhere khushi disappeared and rarely made an entrance...... You lost yourself Khushi and that was what hurt  the most.......Even when you smile it wasn't truthful....... Khushi your entire life you have been emotionally blackmailed to do others bidding from the Guptas to the Raizadas, first it was Arnav and then Anjali blackmailing you to train Lavanya, but still do you know what made me admire you the most is that ,in spite of everything you survived because the fire burning inside you is brighter than the one they set around u. And for that fire I will do anything to set you free......I am ur culprit and I will accept any punishment you have for me wholeheartedly. "

Those who never knew felt disgusted of themselves whereas the culprits were burning in guilt and shame.

Arnav moved closer to Khushi to hugged and apologize but Khushi pushed him off and moved to the police and asked them to take Sheetal away and so did the others leave but not before promising to take care of the financial needs of Aarav who preferred to stay at the orphanage. After they left khushi moved to NK and said

" Do u want to be punished for u deeds "NK then nodded yes" Then here are my punishment for you.

1.You will pack your belongings and leave this house.

2.You will promise to always be my best friend.

3.You will not blame yourself for the decisions am about to make.

4.You are not my culprit.

Only if u accept these punishment will I forgive you."

NK moved closer and hugged Khushi promising to accept this punishment.

NK then moved to his room and packed his belongings and left RM but not before handing Khushi a file and thanking her for everything and also told her not to hesitate to ask for his help and left without apologizing to the others as he knew they didn't deserve it.

The others tried to apologize to Khushi but she  ignored them and left to her room.

Everyone dispersed to their respective rooms with guilt and shame.

After Arnav entered the room he heard noises from the walk in closet and realised she was in there. He moved to open the walk in closet when he saw the file NK gave khushi, he opened it realised it was an admission and acceptance form to a design school in the name of Khushi .

It was then that he realized he never asked Khushi her dreams and aspirations in life but rather dissuaded her on various occasions with his callous attitude and the realization of his failure as a husband and lover has dawn on him like a thick cloud which refused to clear.

Arnav was brought back from this thinking by the sound of wheels moving on the marble floor,  he raised his head to see Khushi with a suitcase and immediately knew what it meant.

It then that Arnav realised he was the culprit and not Shyam, sheetal or  NK but him, he was the culprit, the only culprit in their love story. He realized that the culprit is not the one who breaks your trust but the one who trusted blindly, the one who pretended that other's were the culprits so that they don't have to feel guilty for the horrible things they did to others. And yes he Arnav was the culprit.
