Chapter3:: dtd 07.03.2019

Followers are increasing in number but views are decreasing. Weird trend is happening with me now. Guys please respond. So that I will know that you guys are reading the stories.

"Lav?" Khushi spoke while having their dinner.

"Yes, Khushi." Lav looked up from her plate towards a hesitating Khushi.

Lav and Khushi stays at Kash Mansion along with a maid and other household helpers.

"I am so bored sitting here alone. Doing nothing. Since 2 months I am sitting idle. So I was thinking to do something to kill time." Khushi said pricking the food with the fork.

"Okay. So what have you thought?" Lav ask taking a spoon of food to her mouth.

"To work. A job."

"As in?"

"Anything. That fits me."

" Ok then join me." Lavanya offered.

"But Lav, you are a designer I know nothing about it."

"Ok. Then choose any other post. Kash Industries is huge , Sweety. It has many other things than the boutique."

"I was thinking to try somewhere else."

"Why?" Lav asked keeping her spoon in the plate and loeked straight at Khushi.

Khushi moved nervously in her chair.
"You know, I stay here with you. So it won't look nice if I join Kash. I mean I want to earn it on my own." Khushi tried to convince La. She saw how Lav stopped eating as soon as she spoke about trying somewhere else.

"Khushi, I don't care what others think. I give a damn. You want to work, then join Kash. Tell me when you want to join."

"Lav.." Khushi tried again.

Interrupting Khushi, Lav stood up from the chair.
" I am done. Finish your food and go sleep. I have a meeting warly tomorrow. Good night, Khush."

"Goodnight Lav." Lav left to her study.

"Dictator!!" Khushi murmered under her breath.

Khushi's eyes followed Lavanya till she left her sight. Leaving a deep sigh Khushi went back to her food.
"Comeon Khushi, you need to find a way."

Next day morning.

"Lav, can you drop me at the library?" Khushi ran after Lav.

"This early?" Lavanya glanced at her watch.

It was the same watch which Khushi selected when they went for shopping last week. It was a smiple one. Very under standard for Lav's status. Yet Lav bought the one Khushi chose. It happened many times. Whatever Khushi selects, Lavanya agrees for that. Unless it's for Khushi. For Khushi Lav always choose the best. Khushi doesn't understand this one think that why is she being treated this royal by Lav. Her own family outcast her. Not fully. She had ran away from home. Still. And here Lav is treating her like someone so important. Let's not get into that now. Concentrate on the conversation at hand.

"Ya Lav. There is this library in your way. It opens early. At 5am. Now it's past 7. Can you drop me?"

"Ofcourse. Come."

The City Library

"I will be late today. Call Raman when you want to leave the library. Okay?" Lavanya informed Khushi.

"It's ok I will take a cab." Khushi suggested.

"No need Call Raman. Call me if you need anything else. You have your phone right?"

"Yes. Lav." Khushi answered.

"Check it and answer."

"Yes, here it is" Khushi showed her mobile to Lav.

"Hm. Okay. Bye Khushi. Stay safe."

"Bye Lav." Khushi waved at her.

Khushi went into the library. And then Lav left.

"Mother hen!!" Khushi murmered to herself.

2 days later.

"Hey Lav", Khushi with a huge smile welcomed Lavanya when she came that day evening.

"You look so happy."

"Yes I am." Khushi took Lav's office bag kept it aside. Then served her Raspberry juice.

"Care to share the news?" Lav said while sipping the juice.

"I am called in for an interview after 3 days."

"What? Where?" La spilled the juice she was drinking and stood up. "So this was the reason behing the library trips? You were doing this behind my back?"

She found Khushi smiling sheepishly.

"Lav relax. Sit. Arey, sit down and hear me please."
Lav sat down and Khushi kneeled before her.

"Lavanya, I know you care for me. You have done a lot more than anyone ever did for me. You gave me shelter, a life I never ever imagined. You treat me like ... I don't think someone will ever be concerned to this extent for a stranger."

"Khushi.. " Lav tried to intervene.

"Please Lav. I understand your concern. I know you feel responsible for me. And I owe my life for the care and affection you shower on me. But this once let me earn something by myself. I want to stand on my feet. Do a job. Earn something out of it. No matter if it's a mere penny."

"But Khushi when am I refusing you. You can join Kash.."

"Lav try to understand I need to earn it on my own. Please let me do this. I may not pass the interview still I want to give it a try. Please."

Atlast, Lav had to bow down before Khushi's plea. Or was that because of Khushi's long speech? Anyways, mission accomplished.

"Okay fine. You can go." Khushi mentally did a happy dance. But Lavanya's next words halted her steps. "If you didn't crack it, you will come straight to Kash and join there."

"That's outrageous." Khushi stood up shocked. "Lav comeon, you are giving me only one chance? Not done."

"Ok one week."

"Lavv..." Khushi whined and turned her face sideways.

"Khushiii." Lavanya copied.
Watching Khushi still not turning her face. Lav sighed.

"Ok fine. 2 weeks . Not a day more."

"Ok. " Anything is better than nothing.

"By the way, where is it?" Lav asked.

"Oh, GT Enterprises." Khushi answered smiling.

"Hm very well. Ask me if you need anything."

"Thank you so much Lav." Khushi said hugging Lavanya.

"Okay .." Lav broke the hug after patting her.

Yeah.. Khushi ran upstairs hopping like a rabbit humming yhe Chak De India' 'Kuch kariye' song.
