This is how episode 19 season 1 should have gone.

I hate Iris.

Caitlin was freaking out.

She had kissed Everyman!

After thinking about that, she realized how it sounded.

She had kissed a meta!

Now that just sounded like she hated metahumans.

There was no nice way to say it.

How was she going to explain that she had thought she was kissing Barry?

Or that she had kissed back?

Suddenly, Barry walked in.

Uh oh.

...

Caitlin was acting weird.

Barry just wanted to know why.

Caitlin was normally sweet, but now she wouldn't even touch him.

So, he decided to trick her.

...

Caitlin was explaining how the shot would affect the meta when she felt Barry grab her.

Suddenly, she was in the supply closet.

With Barry.

Shit.

"Why are you being so... flinchy?" Barry asked.

Man, he had an adorable pouty face.

And she wanted to kiss it.

Double shit.

"Uh..."

"Did it have to do with what Everyman did?"

He thought about what he had said and changed it.

"Did it have to do with what the meta did?"

 Caitlin wanted to lie, but she sucked at it.

She shrugged, and Barry nodded.

"What did he do!? I don't want it to be when I want to hug you, you flinch away!"

Caitlin figured she was screwed either way, so she decided to make a move.

She walked over to him and kissed him.

It took a second, but he kissed back, and Caitlin almost cheered.

Then she remembered she was kissing Barry.

She wouldn't break away.

When Caitlin kissed him, Barry was shocked.

Then grateful.

He internally thanked Hannibal.
