Sara X Barry (FlashyCanary)

Note: This one will be a lot darker than the other ones.

Note: So, I'm really sorry I haven't updated in a while. Next, this chapter was inspired by @Higgies story I Hate the Way I Need You. I realize that I missed a huge hurt!Barry opportunity, so I will probably make more stories based on the season 1 finale.

Enjoy!

...

Barry leaned against his bathroom wall as he wiped hopelessly at his tear-streaked face.

"Ronnie... Eddie... Caitlin... Iris... Ronnie..."

He repeated the name of every person he had hurt. Of every person he had killed, whether it was them or their soul mate.

"Help...I'm dying... I don't deserve any... but I need it..."

...

Sara had a feeling.

It was weird.

She was able to sense when people she cared about were beating themselves up. She had discovered the skill when she got back and saw Oliver again.

"Barry!"

She dashed off as fast as she could to her boyfriend's apartment all the way in S.T.A.R. City. She just hoped she wasn't too late.

...

"Why am I such a... monster?" Barry asked himself as he sat on his bathroom floor.

He stared at the knife longingly.

He wouldn't do it.

He couldn't.

But it could help...

What if it just made things worse?

He would be keeping another secret from his family.

Was that really so bad?

He walked into the bathroom.

...

Sara drove as fast as she could to Barry's apartment.

She had a feeling that something terrible was about to happen.

She just hoped she could stop it.

...

He stared at the knife for a moment.

He couldn't help but admired the way the light bounced off it. The way it shined.

He wondered if his blood would change that.

...

"Barry... Barry," Sara panted as she ran up the stairs. She was starting to slow down, but something told her she couldn't.

She needed to save Barry.

Before it was too late.

...

She ran up the last flight.

...

He pressed the blade to his wrist.

...

She ran up the last step.

...

He watched as blood appeared.

...

She knocked.

...

Bang!

"Barry! Barry! Are you ok?"

Sara?

What was she doing here?

Better yet, how could he hide his bleeding arm?

"Sara? What are you doing here?"

"Barry, if you don't open this door right now, I will break it. You know I will."

He sighed.

This would not be fun.

...

"Barry..." she panted.

Barry stood in the doorway, half his body hidden behind the door.

"Barry... let... me... in," she panted.

"Why?"

"I... know... something happened. I'm... here... to... help."

Barry sighed before opening the door, the left half of his body still hidden behind it.

She walked over and sat on the couch.

"What happened?" she asked.

It was like opening the floodgates.

...

First, he talked about how it was his fault for not knowing about Wells' betrayal. Sara had tried to interrupt to tell him it wasn't, but he wouldn't listen and continued to talk about the offer that Wells had made him. He talked about how he was a sucker for agreeing to it, how he had gone back in time and not saved her, how when he came back he couldn't kill Wells, so Eddie had killed himself and it was all his fault. Sara once again tried to tell him it wasn't his fault, but he wouldn't listen. Then he went on about how he had caused the wormhole, and because he wasn't fast enough, Ronnie had died.

"Barry, none of that was your fault," Sara stated, but Barry shook his head.

"It's all my fault!" he yelled.

Sara shook her head.

"It's not your fault, Barry. You couldn't have known that Wells would betray you. You couldn't have refused to save your mother. I would have done the same thing in your shoes if it was my sister. I would have actually saved her, no matter what my future self said. You didn't. Instead, you went back to stop Eobard. Eddie didn't kill himself. He sacrificed himself so you could stop Eobard. Eobard's death caused the wormhole, not you going back in time. And Ronnie sacrificed himself for the greater good. None of it was your fault, Barry."

Barry stared at her.

"You really believe that?" he whispered.

Sara nodded firmly.

Barry hugged her as hard as he could.

...

Barry never told anyone about the tiny scar on his wrist.
