The Hockey Avengers Find Out Something Is Happening In Russia
Fake Tyler and Jamie make it to the control room, which is in the Penthouse of the headquarters. They skid inside and Jamie quickly gets into The Pest's system, pulling up the database and checking the Downtown area for any kinds of disturbances. (The Pest is normally smart enough to pick up the threat of Tyler not being Tyler, but thanks to Guzzler's telepathic powers, he is able to trick even The Pest.)
"Hey Jamison, I'm gonna go to my room for a little bit, okay?" Fake Tyler says.
Jamie looks at him and cocks an eyebrow. "What's up with you? You've been spending a lot more time in your room lately? Are you okay? Did I do something? Did Roussel do something?"
"No, no. It's just I need some alone time."
Jamie cocks his head. "Why?"
"I just need some alone time Jamie!" Fake Tyler snaps, his eyes flashing a bright red color with anger momentarily before the return to normal.
"Okay, okay, easy Tyler, just be back in ten minutes or so...?" Jamie says, taking a step back in shock.
"Alright, fine." With that Fake Tyler storms out of the room.
Jamie watches him leave, bewildered. Why had Tyler's eyes turned red? Was he just seeing things? But then again, Tyler had been acting strangely lately...maybe he should just exercise caution. Jamie shrugs and returns to his search.
Fake Tyler gets to the entrance of the hallway and spins to look back at Jamie, smirking evilly and then he walks into his room and closes the door, locking it shut. He sits down on the bed and shapeshifts into Ryan Kesler.
He closes his eyes and focus his mind on Moscow, Russia. He quickly locates Alex Ovechkin with his strong telepathy. The Russian Capital villain is now at a new lair of sorts, which happens to be inside of a mountain, just outside the city of Moscow. He can see that this new lair is a well lit cave at the foot of a mountain range in the Urals. He is able to enter and follows a long tunnel, which twists and turns, until it finally opens up to a massive villain-style lair. The room is in a dome shape and looks like a big lab or some kind.
In the center of the evil lair, is a cut out...a cliche circular cutout of a hole where sharks or piranhas would be swimming around in the water, hungry for their coming prey of a helpless heroic hostage. Over it, but not in the air at the moment, is a metal pole...like where a villain would tie the said hero up to it and then send them plunging down toward the shark pool below.
Guzzler as Kesler (I'll refer to him as Kesler now) smirks to himself and then teleports himself to the lair and appears before Ovechkin, who smiles at his presence.
"Greetings Ovechkin," Guzzler says.
"Greetings to yourself Kesler," Ovechkin responds with a wink. "The moose and his friends have been created. Unfortunately the moose escaped to go find Ulianna Nichushkina, this guy's sister." He gestures to his side, where Val is jerking at the tight grips of Sergey Kalinin and Joel Edmundson. He snaps his head up, showing that the tape is still over his mouth. "But as you can see, we've taken good care of him."
Kesler smirks, looking at the struggling Val, who blinks in shock and perplexment. "I know you know who I am, Pretty Boy! I'm the one who turned Tyler against Jamie, Zvezda against you and I'm also the one who knows that you are a threat to me, given you'd be the one to reveal my secret. You're just getting on everyone's bad side, huh Arrow Hawk?"
Val muffles something and glares at him and then jerks sharply at the holds on his arms. Kesler stalks toward him and rips the tape from the poor hero's mouth. "Why do you want me, Guzzler...Kesler? Wait! I thought Tyler said he'd killed you..." Val instantly gasps. "TYLER! Where's Tyler? What have you done to Tyler?"
Kesler grabs Val's chin and looks into his eyes with his own beady, pitch black eyes. "It's not important...I didn't kill him... Yet. But your gullible friend Jamie seems to think that I am his friend Tyler, and you were a threat to finding me out and telling them. I can't have that now, surely you understand."
"I know something wrong!" Val grunts, jerking at the holds. "Evs find out and Hockey Avengers stop you!"
"Stop me?"
"Yeah! They done so in past!"
"Because unlike before, I'm sure Ovi followed my orders to capture all the Russians. Think about it, Arrow Hawk, Russiosteel, Chaos, Aqua Kuch and Arrow Av aren't able to help their friends out. And between you and I, we both know how much Chaos is needed."
"You no know Vladdy, he one to really wreak Chaos and I think you no want your precious lair, here to be destroy, right?!" Val retorts, before he kicks out at the villain, who takes a step backward.
"Oh, Chaos won't be hurting anyone soon," Ovechkin sneers. "Backstrom, here, has something called 'Precognition', which is how he found out about the little Lightning Bolt's weakness..."
"Actually, Ovi, I did," Edmundson corrects, speaking up. "I overheard Stralman saying how much Gallagher is a thorn in his side. Sure the blondie can talk a big game and fight back, but if you threaten him with Gallagher, he cowers faster than a Disney Princess!"
"You better no tell Vladdy that."
Ovechkin laughs and puts an arm around Val's neck as he moves his hand in the direction to his side. Val follows the gesture to the left side of the giant lair room and spots Vladdy, the feisty, arrogant Lightning player, chained up to a pole with Brendan Gallagher prodding him and teasing him with fire. Instead of seeing a brave Vladdy, this new Vladdy looks frightened as he manages to stutter, "L-let m-m-me g-g-g-go!"
Val bites his lip in shock.
"He can't do anything, not even if I say this: HEY VLADDY, YOU'RE A DISNEY PRINCESS!" the Washington Capital shouts out.
Gallagher snickers evilly, tormenting the poor Tampa forward, who stares the Montreal player down. "Come on and wreak some chaos, Vladdy Boo!"
Vladdy pulls at the chains and screams, "Please, let me go! Brendan, let me go! Stop, no, no! Let me go!! Somebody help me!!"
Val gasps. That's Vladislav Namestnikov? Chaos?
"See? Vladdy's a little bit distressed right now. And given he's normally the strongest of the group...there's no chance of you guys winning without him!" the power-cancellation villain sneers as he slowly removes his arm from around Val's neck.
"Let me go!" the young Russian Dallas Star pleads, suddenly feeling the panic rise inside of him.
"As I said, there is no escape. Now, if you can behave, I might allow you to remain unbound for a little...but so help me, if you continue to do that [struggle/fight]...these," Ovechkin smirks and holds up ropes in his hand as a threat. "will once more restrain your pretty little wrists. Capiche?"
"You wouldn't!" Val gasps.
"No, you're right, not right now. But in a little bit, absolutely!" Ovechkin snarls.
Val stops with his fierce struggle against the grips on his arms and nods. Then he hangs his head low in a defeated way and makes a sad, adorable look. He pouts his lip and makes pleading puppy dog eyes. His baby blues shimmer in the cave lighting. But it doesn't seem to work as Kesler and Ovechkin share a look and simply roll their eyes.
"Guzzler!! Let me go! Kel--Psychica, won't like this! GUZZLER!!" Vladimir Tarasenko's voice suddenly screeches from a bird cage in the right side of the enormous room. He's been untied, but he kicks and pulls at the metal bars of the doors of the his prison with a desperation to escape. Around him, Nikita Nesterov, Nikita Kucherov and Nikita Zadorov are all trapped in their own cages.
"SHUT UP VOVA!!" Ovechkin snarls.
Vladimir takes a step back from the bars, suddenly frightened. He sits down on the ground inside of the cage and looks around him, scared. What is going to happen to me? Why do I have to be so damn cute and weak? To his left, he notices that there is another cage with Evgeny Kuznetsov in it. The young Capital has his back to his captain and ex-friend now. He is sniffling and hugging his legs close to him. The poor lad.
Kesler looks around, taking in the scene more and he nods his head. "Seems like you've got things under control, Ovi. I've got to return to Jamie and "helping" 'Star Vision' out, so I'll let you carry on with your fun here. Tell Gally not to completely destroy Vladdy there." He looks to where the St. Louis Blue is in his cage and sends him a wink. "And, Vladimir, I told you it wasn't over."
With that Kesler vanishes in his smokey exit, teleporting back to Tyler Seguin's room in the headquarters. He snaps his eyes open, finding himself back in the room, on the bed. He looks at a clock on the wall. Ten minutes exactly. He gets to his feet and exits his room, morphing back into Fake Tyler as he throws the door open to the room and walks out. He heads back to find Jamie sitting on the couch as though waiting for him.
At his emergence into the room, the captain of the Dallas Stars looks up and smiles at him. "You'll never believe this, Tyler. The Pest was searching around for disturbances and a video popped up from Russia. Moscow, Russia to be exact."
"Really?" Fake Tyler says. "What's in Russia?"
"A mad moose human! It's Nathan MacKinnon! The Pest located Nathan MacKinnon! I mean, he's half moose, but I'd recognize his outfit anywhere, given it's the exact same one he wore when he was at the World Juniors! It's him and he's causing havoc in Moscow. We gotta tell Evelyn and Geno! After all, this is the Russian Bear's specialty."
"Right...uh...true!" Fake Tyler agrees, clasping his hands together. "Also, sorry I snapped at you earlier." He puts a finger to his head. "Lost my mind a little."
"It's your dog, I understand. But it's okay, I can't stay mad at you Tyler. Now let's get down to the lobby and inform everyone!" Jamie remarks.
Fake Tyler nods and they race to the elevator and make it back down to the lobby, where Gabriel, Evelyn, Kelly and John are. Evelyn is still reading the stars but stops along with her snowy blonde haired friend as the Dallas duo comes in. Perfect! Everything's going according to my plan! You hear that Tyler! Your friends are heading to the trap!
Guzzler, please! Tyler's weakened plead echoes into his head.
Shortly after they arrive, the others return. TJ, Ondrej, Brooke and Jonathan Toews re-enter, murmuring amongst themselves.
"Russia?" Jonathan questions.
TJ nods. "Russia."
"More precisely," Jamie says. "Moscow, Russia. The Pest picked up a disturbance with a moose wearing Nathan MacKinnon's outfit. We believe this is Nathan MacKinnon himself, who has somehow been changed into a moose."
"And if that Nathan, that mean Sid is around," Geno exclaims. "Sid in Russia!"
Evelyn nods. "And probably Val is there too. Why Russia I don't know. But we gotta get there and check this out. Also, Geno, you're coming. If Nathan's a moose, we may need you to communicate with him."
"You got it dude!" Geno says with a salute and a thumbs up.
"Come on Hockey Avengers, let's get to Russia!" Evelyn exclaims.
