Back at H.A.T.T.Y. in the present day,

Nathan MacKinnon finishes up a round of training with Evgeni Malkin. He squirts water into his mouth, drapes a towel around his neck and exits the room, almost colliding with Ulianna Nichushkina, who morphs instantly into a snow leopard anthro.

"Whoa, whoa, easy," Nathan states, scratching his head and antlers.

Ulianna bares her teeth at him, but slowly relaxes and apologizes to him. "Sorry, I just get a little tense. Ever since Ovechkin..."

Nathan rolls his eyes. "Tell me about it. I know it was him who created me to destroy Russia and wreak havoc on the world...and kill people...especially a certain one in-particular, but I can't remember who..."

Ulianna points to herself. "That would be me. I'm sure of it. Knowing the terms of how we left things. He hates me, I'm sure of it."

Evgeny walks toward them. "See, you don't know the full story, Ulianna. Ovi's not evil, I'm sure of it and I know how he got to be evil. I just remembered."

Ulianna looks at him, morphing her skin back to normal from the snowy white fur. Nathan looks at them both, bizarrely.

"Your brother has no idea though, cause I saved him and wiped his memory, before you and him had a falling out. Backstrom wasn't the only mutant to possess Precognition. There was another. His name was Andre Burakovsky. He had the ability to wipe memories as well as see into the future. He was unfortunately caught and killed by Ovi, taking the chance at helping Val and I. But he wiped our memories clean. The difference is he was killed wiping mine, so my memory loss was temporary, but I remember EVERYthing now."

Ulianna and Nathan share a look as Evgeny launches into his tale.

2007-2008

A few years after Alex Ovechkin was drafted into the NHL and setting records already, he was also busy in Moscow with Nicklas Backstrom, his best friend, training and gathering up any and all - what he referred to as - "HAMs" or "Hockey (players) And Mutants." With the hockey playing mutants, they were free to access powers and learn how to channel them on the ice, so they weren't spotted or targeted for cheating.

There were many Russian-born players, but a few American-Russians as well. Evgeny Kuznetsov, codenamed "Nessie" and even Nikita Nesterov had complete control over their powers, and though Valeri Nichushkin was a mortal, he was there thanks to his sister, who was apart of a special group.

This group was known as and referred to as, "Братство Разбойник Хоккеисты" (Brotherhood of Rogue Ice Hockey Players) Ovechkin lead the group, which was responsible for rounding up super-players, as well as taking on missions to maintain peace and balance in the world. The members included: Braden Holtby, Brooks Orpik, Nicklas Backstrom, Alex Ovechkin, Katiya Kuznetsova, Ulianna Nichushkina, Eric Strum, Dmitry Kulikov, as well as Nikita Nesterov, Valeri Nichushkin, Evgeny Kuznetsov and even a young lad named Andre Burakovsky, a Swede by birth.

While the group is hard at work...another person is learning of their presence and targeting them.

Ryan Kesler, who is really Guzzler in disguise, stands by his window, looking out at the streets where two females, Ulianna and Katiya are walking around. He is leaning against the top of his scepter. They both suddenly glance up and spot him. Kesler raises a hand to his head and wills them inside of his place.

That's right, chase me girls. But I doubt two cats can catch this mouse.

Katiya and Ulianna barge into the room; Katiya has her spy guns out in her hands at ready, cocking the triggers.

Kesler slowly turns to them, smirking wickedly. "Look, maybe you both just leave me alone and get back to your mission, huh?"

"You are our mission," Ulianna growls, flashing her canines at him and then snapping instantly into a snow leopard. She roars and unsheathes her claws. "Ovechkin wants you! Says you've been causing harm...or will. We've been tracking you for a few days."

"No, no, you're wrong." He puts a finger to his temple and thinks, Agent Snow Leopard and friend, tell Ovechkin I won't be coming. I'm my own man and I don't follow orders. And in fact I want to use him and his powers for an important scheme of mine.

Ulianna cocks her head to the side. How did you know...

Ryan Kesler, but everyone calls me Guzzler. So here's the plan girls, I'm gonna let you leave me in three secs. Then I'm gonna follow you, cause you happen to know Ovechkin, the person I am looking for. So...be gone!

Katiya stuffs her guns away and grabs Ulianna, who morphs back into a human and they race from the house with a laughing Kesler on their tail.

They make it back to the arena within 15 minutes, where Ovechkin is working with Evgeny's phasing powers. He spins to them as they skid in. "Well...did you find him and you know--?" He turns back to Evgeny and says, "Good job Nessie, go see how Nesty is doing..."

Evgeny nods his head and then races off, allowing Ovechkin to be alone with the two girls.

"Katiya, go, I'll let him know what happened," Ulianna says.

Katiya nods and dashes off, after Evgeny.

Ovechkin looks at Ulianna as she comes forward, "Well, what happened? Did you find the bastard?"

"We did. But we lost him. Actually moreso, he found us...look I'm sorry Ovi, for some reason we didn't-couldn't think straight. He may have followed us back and found you. You got to get out of here, if he finds you and fulfills the vision that Backs--" Ulianna begins to say.

Ovechkin shakes his head and looks down at his feet. "I entrusted you - my best spy team - to track him down and take care of him. But you couldn't?!"

"You don't understand," Ulianna retorts.

"Don't understand? You know that man is smart enough. I warned you, I told you what Backs saw and told me and yet," Ovechkin says as he paces, anxiously. "You shouldn't have come back to tell me this!"

"You HAD to know!" Ulianna insists.

"I guess now I know not to trust a snow leopard with something she can't handle. Snow leopards are endangered in the wild for a reason!" Ovechkin snarls. "Maybe your brother will do better on a mission than you!"

Ulianna slowly morphs into her form and growls. "Leave my brother out of this, Ovechkin. He will NOT go on ANY missions for you. It is my duty to keep him safe."

"Which you'll obviously fail at," Ovechkin spits.

Ulianna roars and lunges forward, attacking Ovechkin. They roll around on the ground as Backstrom, Holtby, Orpik, Katiya, Eric Strum, Kulikov, Nesterov, Val, Evgeny and Andre Burakovsky enter. Backstrom rushes forward to help out, when Ulianna swipes her paw at the Washington Capital and leaves three claw marks on his cheek.

Another figure (Kesler or Guzzler), dressed in all black enters, keeping to the shadows, holding a scepter in his hands. The staff is glowing and he has one of his arms stretched out before him, acting like he is controlling someone. Andre is the only one to spot him, but thinks nothing of him.

Katiya gasps and pulls Ulianna back with Andre's help. Ovechkin scrambles to his feet and spots Val instantly. With a rush of fury, he attacks the young man, punching him in the face and bloodying his nose. Ulianna tears herself free and jumps onto Ovechkin's back, sinking her teeth into his shoulder.

Suddenly Ulianna snaps back into a human and falls off of the enraged man. She scrambles to her feet and races for Katiya, who is standing with Andre, while Evgeny takes advantage of Ovechkin's distracted moment and pulls the shocked, scared and injured Val to the side. Ovechkin screams and goes after Ulianna.

Ulianna quickly says, "Andre, you gotta help Val out, wipe his memories and get him out of here. I'm going with Katiya and we'll try to keep Ovechkin distracted while you help him. Get Nesty and Nessie out too! Anyone and everyone! This is not Ovechkin, this is Guzzler! Backstrom's prophecy is coming true. Save my brother, please Andre!"

With that she grabs Katiya's wrist in her hand and leads her from the arena, sure enough with the mad Ovechkin on her tail. Luckily her feline instincts help her out and Katiya's excellent endurance and stamina proves to be reliable and useful.

"Don't worry, you can count on me," Andre mutters and then blinks and goes over to where Evgeny and Nesterov are with Val. Nesterov is shaking his arm and Evgeny is trying to phase. Both finding it to be rather difficult to access their powers somehow. Andre reaches them and gestures for them to follow him.

The four are able to sneak through the arena to a hidden exit.

"Luckily, I am immune to Ovechkin's power-cancellation." Andre puts his hands on either side of Val's head and then he closes his eyes and his hands glow white. The same color energy hits Val's head. After five seconds, the process is done.

"Run, Valeri, we will all be behind you," Andre says.

Val blinks and races off, out of the exit. Andre turns and does the same to Nesterov next. The steel-armored man then leaves after Val. As soon as he vanishes, Andre turns to Evgeny, just as Ovechkin bursts back in and finds them.

At his side is Kesler, who puts a hand on Ovechkin's shoulder like they are friends and in his other hand is the scepter, which is still glowing ominously. Andre gasps and shouts, "NO!" He then turns back, tears in his eyes and resumes trying to help out Evgeny as Ovechkin charges for them. He mutters, "There is no escaping my destiny. It is for the greater good! FOR THE FUTURE AND FOR ULIANNA!"

Within three seconds of the process, Ovechkin and Kesler grab Andre, who screams at Evgeny to just run for it. Backstrom, Holtby, Kulikov and the others arrive to try and get Evgeny, who is able to dodge them out of panic and escape.

Evgeny bolts outside to the loud, ear-splitting and heart-wrenching scream of Andre. He skids to a halt, where Nesterov and Val are. The three look back to see a dark cloud cover the arena they'd once called home. Lightning flashes and begins to strike it as evil cackling ignites from within.

Val is still bleeding and the pain suddenly returns to him as he cries out. Evgeny and Nesterov spin and grab him at once and rush him on, forgetting about Andre Burakovsky. They get him to a hospital at once and get his wounds tended to.

Meanwhile, Ulianna and Katiya make it to Katiya's safe haven house on the outskirts of Moscow. The house is hidden away and there, the two plan their revenge to get back at Ovechkin and attempt to figure out how to handle the problem.

As they do, Eric Strum leaves for the Legend of Doom, joining Vanek, The Brawler and Kaleta, who target the Blackhawks and set into motion the entire superhero plot.

While, Guzzler - as Kesler - hypnotizes Ovechkin, Holtby, Kulikov, Orpik and Backstrom with his magical scepter. And even takes a few others from the arena, including Sergey Kalinin, Joel Edmundson, Jonathan Quick, Matt Cooke and Brad Marchand.

Guzzler then vanishes, while Ovechkin plans his revenge to get back at Ulianna for attacking him and "betraying" him. So he plans to go after Val, tracking him and locating him with the help of a few of his friends and then they ambush and kidnap him when he comes to Russia in 2014-2015.

Back in the Present,

Evgeny looks at his feet. "Andre died for all three of us that day. I know the other don't remember him, but I do and I owe him my life. If they knew, they would too."

Ulianna blinks and looks at Evgeny, "So you're saying that Ovechkin's completely innocent and it was all this Guzzler...?"

"Anger has made you mad and revenge has made you blind, Agent Snow Leopard. Luckily for you and everyone involved on that day, I know everything now. Andre, he didn't make it...my memory returned last year and I immediately went to check up on him, but Ovechkin, he told me that Andre had been an unfortunate casualty in a war. I believed him and then he had me captured, 'cause...he really planned to eliminate me. I think he knows, they know that I know. But now you both know. We need to eliminate Kesler and save Ovechkin, before he kills himself being a henchman of that bastard's."

Ulianna nods. "You're right. It is best we tell all of this to Evelyn. And I - and I do mean I - will tell my brother." She starts to walk off, when suddenly she stops and spins back. "Now I remember...that asshole tricked Katiya and I into going back, taking control of our minds. He wanted Ovi's powers for a plan he had...in mind...you don't think that plan was to...wait, Andre said something about who this guy was after. He needed Ovechkin because it would help him to isolate the person and be able to take them. Vladimir Tarasenko?"

"No, I don't think it was Vladimir..." Evgeny says. "It'll come to me eventually. Where is Katiya anyway?"

"I'm not entirely sure to be honest. I lost her in Russia...but I don't remember seeing or hearing of her death, so she's probably hiding somewhere," Ulianna replies. "If anyone can escape death it's Katiya Kuznetsova."

Evgeny laughs. "Proud to share a last name with her!"

They walk back into the main room to inform Evelyn and tell her of the update, while Ulianna tells Val of what she remembers. Though neither Val nor Nesterov seem to remember it, they go along and agree with it. Fake Tyler maintains his cool though he begins to falter. He has to act and he has to do something to finish his plan!

The Hockey Avengers are closing in fast, he thinks to himself. It's time to 'take a sick day. You're not out of the woods yet Tyler Seguin. I'll find you and I will kill you!'

"So we need to answer one question here, who is Guzzler or Ryan Kesler really after and how to we beat Ovechkin, without killing him?" Evelyn proclaims to the entire group as they gather. "Who got on Kesler's bad side and why?"
