I finally reached my driveway and pulled in, noticing the lack of my moms car. Nothing different from any other day considering work is her life. I put my car in park and pulled the keys out of the ignition, opening the door and getting out, I remembered that I had to put on a load of laundry before Zoe came over, so I ran into the house to get everything ready. After unlocking the front door, I threw my purse on the ground and kicked my shoes off, and then briskly ran to my room to get my basket. When I was done I went into the kitchen and started looking for some snack and something to make for dinner, assuming I'd be on my own for dinner like usual.
I noticed some money on the counter from my mom after my unsuccessful search for food and decided to go to the grocery store for something to make, and to get some snacks while I'm there for Zoe and I. I texted Zoe to let her know I was going to the grocery store in case she forgot to message me when she was on her way, which is something she does sometimes. I went upstairs into my room to change before I left, it took me awhile to find something to wear considering most of my clothes were dirty and in the wash but I finally settled on something. I put on a sheer black top with a black crisscross cami on underneath, some baggy jeans and a white faux fur coat that I used to wear literally everyday until my mom gave me an intervention on my choice of clothing. I rolled the pants up a bit to fit my style better and threw on a gold chain because why not. I then took my hair out of the ponytail I had put it up in earlier that morning, and played with my hair to make it more presentable. I grabbed my phone and black converse and went back downstairs after realizing I was taking too long to get ready.
I'm only going to the grocery store ffs, I don't know why I'm getting dressed up. Curly brown hair and green eyes popped up in the back of my mind, it's not like he would be there, my subconscious reminded. I shook my head to rid myself of those dumb thoughts and put on my shoes, grabbing my keys and purse, almost forgetting the money my mother so graciously left for me. I locked the door and welcomed the cool breeze and the sound of the leaves dragging on the ground. My Mini made a beep sound as I unlocked her and got in, swiftly putting the keys in the ignition and pulling out of the driveway.
When I pulled up to the grocery store I made a mental note at how packed it was, dreading having to be around so many people. Ugh. I turned my car off and got out, grabbing everything I needed. It was starting to rain so I closed my purse and started to run from the parking lot into the store, jumping in a nearby puddle and soaking my black converse, I laughed quite obnoxiously at how childish I could be sometimes, I loved it though. A couple walking by gave me a weird look and I smiled back. As I walked in and was shielded from the rain I grabbed a cart and made my way to the snack aisles. Sour patch kids? A must. Popcorn? Hell yes. Ice cream? Why the fuck not. I poured sugary and carb filled snacks into the cart, not giving a single fuck. Only stopping when I heard a deep chuckle from beside me. When I looked over my heart almost fell out of my ass, it was him.
My eyes widened and he took the silence as a chance to say something, "Didn't know a girl as tiny as you would be pigging out on this shit," he said smugly, reaching into my cart and pulling out some random candy I had thrown in. I calmly pulled it out of his hand and put it back in my cart. "I eat whatever the fuck I want" I said with a smile and then kept walking before he could say another word. He was too arrogant for me, although it made me more drawn to him I just didn't want to deal with it at that present moment, sue me. "Damn," he said catching up to me, much to my dismay, "You have one hell of a mouth on you." he spoke with a smirk. I snorted, which was probably extremely unattractive but I didn't really care. "Too bad you'd never know," I looked at him to see the surprised look on his face before it quickly changed to cockiness once he caught my stare, before he could say anything I added on, "Are you following me or something?" I joked, he definitely wasn't following me, but I'm a sarcastic bitch so why not play around.
He laughed, I realized that I loved that sound, it was masculine and basically swoon worthy, not to mention those dimples. "No, I am in fact not following you," he smiled, "Don't flatter yourself Blue, I'm here for the same reason anyone else is, for groceries." his laugh cut through me and took my breath away, along with a certain word that stuck into my head like a bullet. "Blue?", I barely choked out. And when I received no response, I turned around and was met with an empty aisle, save for a few old ladies.
After shaking off the effect the green eyed boy had on me, I returned to my shopping, making sure to keep my eyes peeled for him. I still can't believe what just happened. The fact that he was here in the first place is astounding, he came up to me, and then he called me.. Blue? And he just disappears. I'm so confused, why can't I get him out of my head?
I took way too long in the store and eventually decided on something easy for dinner, I paid and took my bags out to my car. It had gotten darker out so I pulled my phone out of my purse after putting away the bags full of snacks, I had a text from Zoe.
Zo♥: ok gf:) just message me when you're done and I'll walk over
I smiled at the little nickname we have for each other and then frowned at her mention of walking. It was still raining and it was cold as hell.
Amara: You are not walking in this weather gf, get ready i'm coming now :*
We have been friends for so long that we don't find it weird to send each other kisses or winky faces, we just love joking around and having fun. I started my car, not waiting for a response because I knew she'd most likely refuse my offer. I pulled out of the parking lot and made my way toward her house.
