Kaiko's pov: (Today is Sunday btw, just clearing that up)

"So Nan, what brings you back today of all days? Not that I'm not super excited, just a little confused. Mom and Dad won't be back until 3." Evie said looking at her watch.

Currently it was only 2:15, so it could seem weird we arrive before her parents were home. Honestly, the aronnax had been way easier sailing than usual.

"Oh, that was more accidental then anything else. Tell me where are Ant and Maddy? Oh and Adrian?" I asked.

"Oh, we just sent for them to come see you!" Evie smiled opening our door.

I admired the way our room was so perfect even though we hadn't used it in ages. Will went off chatting with the triplets and Evie, whilst Bella seemed to have spaced out and was staring blankly at the wall.

"So Bella, were there some guards fighting downstairs? I mean I heard a really loud slap." I said, deciding to find out what was happening.

"Wha- no, there was no guards fighting that I knew of." She said looking a bit confused.

Her eyes glowed and she looked at me, an her face changed to one of pure fear.

"Bella Bella Bella. Didn't your mother ever tell you to ask permission before you read someone's mind?" I joked.

"How did you?" She asked.

"Hon, I'm a mother too. I figured out everything Fontaine didn't tell me pretty quick, it's just what we do! Besides, it was very clear that if looks could kill, Ryuku would have been six feet Under already." I smirked.

"Great, more people who know." She sighed.

I asked her to explain, and as she did, I got more and more angry. How dare he do that to my granddaughter?!

"Why haven't you too anyone?" I asked.

She frowned. "Because it would break Mom an Dad. They picked him and now I can't change that. Also the engagement has to be believable. If someone knew we were fighting the loyalty of the royal family could be questioned."

"Okay. Well C'mon, I'm incredibly hungry right now, let's go get some food." I smiled giving her a big hug.

She grinned back and we walked downstairs, to a completely ridiculous scene.

"You son of a bitch! How dare you hurt her?!" My youngest child yelled at Ryuku who was slowly backing away.

"Hey Uncle Ant? Calm down please." Bella said walking over to him.

He softened up when he saw me and came over with Adrian to give me a hug.

"Hey Mom. Good to see you again!" Ant smiled at me.

"Nice to see you too son. And you to Adrian! Did you miss me?" I asked giving him a hug.

He giggled and nodded. "Papa says I'm your favourite!"

I glared amused at Ant who was slowly backing away. But not before Fontaine and Finn came in, all smiles, and sporting a very confused look.

"Mom? Dad? I didn't know you were coming!" Fontaine grinned widely and came over to hug me.

"Hey now, what about your old man? Where's the love y'all?" Will pouted.

Fontaine giggled and hugged her father. Then she looked at Ant, any sign of loving family gone, and in it's place, her queen like attitude returned.

"Why were you yelling, Anteaus?"

Fontaine's pov:

As we arrived home from our little trip, I was informed by a servant that my parents bad arrived. I didn't know they were coming!

I thanked the guard and then was swarmed by my youngest children.

"Mommy daddy! You're home!" Azure and Zale squealed. I laughed and spun them around, while Finn was tackled by Kai and Jordan.

"We missed you too guys. Where are your sisters?" I asked.

As the words left my mouth, I heard my little brother yell "you son of a bitch!"

The rest of his sentence was muffled by Azure replying "Oh. In the main hall with Nan Kaiko and Pop Will!"

"Yeah, and Bella is really happy!" Zale added.

"Good to know guys. Thank you!" I smiled. We walked in as a sixsome and I gave my parents a bug hug, as did Finn.

Then I looked at my brother, determined to know exactly why he was angry. "Why were you yelling, Anteaus?"

His face went ashen and he glanced around the room trying to ask for help. Finn chuckled beside me and placed a hand around my waist, seeming to enjoy the show.

But I didn't expect to see Bella make a cutthroat motion with her thumb, and really didn't expect it to be directed at my brother.

"Uh, sorry for over reacting. Ryuku took the last jelly tart and uh, Hailey said she's going to need more food before she makes the next lot." Ant said.

He fidgeted with his hands and Bella and Ryuku seemed relieved. One word echoed in my mind, liar.

It was blatantly clear, he was lying.

"Angel let's get Mom and Dad settled in. Specially because we want them to stay!" Finn said to me.

Ant immediately smiled and nodded. "Yeah, we did already send them up to their rooms but helping them settle in is very important."

I decided to let it slide for now. But if Bella was saying to shut up, then this problem would need to be addressed sooner rather than later.

As we left the room, I popped a portal stone and a recording rune on the wall. I left it to play whilst we headed off and helped my parents settle in.

Bella's pov:

Great. When Maddy said she'd tell my Uncle, I had hoped she was joking. But no, she was very serious. And my Uncle who seems to really like me is now pissed off at my fiance. Could this be any weirder?

"Okay, that was too close. Ant you need to chill." I said.

"Chill? How long has he been doing this?" Ant yelled.

"Anteaus. Stop." Maddy cut in.

I smiled greatfuly at her and then Ryuku frowned a little. He looked like he was in pain, but he didn't seem upset.

Before I could stop it, Ant had tackled Ryuku and was punching his face in. Ryuku made no attempt to stop him, and I screamed when he finally stopped and his face was covered in blood and almost instant bruises.

Now you're coming with me. And you will explain why you decided to do this." Ant stated.

I made a little basin of water and tossed Ryuku a cloth from my never ending storage portal. "Clean yourself up, someone's gonna ask questions."

He smirked and wiped his face, then walked off with Ant. Maddy stools beside me making us the only people in the room.

"Well that escalated quickly didn't it?" Maddy laughed.

I nodded, but my laugh came out more like a grimace as I pictured Ryuku's bloody face.

Ryuku's pov (all these different pov's are killing me lol)

Ant basically dragged me out of the room and in to his study. He pointed to the chair infront of his desk and told me to sit down.

"Now please, enlighten me. What on earth possessed you to be such an asshole to my niece?" Ant asked.

"I'm only telling you one part. The others too painful." I said firmly.

He didn't reply, but he nodded and let me talk.

"Only a few people known this, not even Bella knows this. So uh, please don say anything." I said.

"Who else knows?" He asked.

"Evie and Ryuku. Oh and Tasi."

"Ah right. Continue then." Ant ordered.

"Well this is hard to explain."

{Ooooooh I'm feeling a flashback!}

"Hey son come here please." My Dad called for me.

I ran downstairs and smiled at my father. I was only Eleven at the time, an I was preparing for Bella's birthday, which was in a few days. She was turning eight!

"Okay son. Now I know you're getting ready for Bella's birthday. But mommy is going to have the baby now. You're little sister is going to come. I'm taking her to the doctor now ok? Stay here for me."

I nodded excitedly. "Oh and don't forget, don't talk to the sorcerer at the end of the street, especially if you see him. Last time a little boy did, he cursed them."

"Okay Daddy. Tell Mommy I love her?" I asked.

He nodded and hugged me tightly. "Love you too son."

"Love you Daddy! Bye!"

As my father walked out and took my mother to the doctor's, I plodded around cleaning up so it would be perfect for when my new sister came home.

Being the hyperactive boy I was, after finishing my job I got really bored. I ran outside to play, and smacked straight into the old man my dad had warned me about.

The sorcerer in our street liked playing his version of pranks on the boys who annoyed him in our street. And since he was good with his magic, he never got caught.

Of course I just had to smash straight into him.

"You insolent little boy! How dare you?" He yelled.

I whimpered and he smirked. "Oh, fancy that. You are going to your friends birthday tomorrow? Well now. And you are to marry? Well you'll like this little punishment."

His hands and eyes began to glow and he began saying something in the of sorcerer language. He was going to curse me!

I suddenly felt a great deal of pain in my chest and my skin was burning.

"Now let's see how you enjoy that shall we? Guess what I cursed you with? You know that burning in your chest? Everytime you see your friend, you'll feel that burning. Not a physical burn. A emotional burn, you will hate her. But to top that off, you'll also love her. Yes, I'll let you keep loving her like you do. Your emotions will be conflicted. And I'm going to give you a talking conscience, named Arlo. He is the side that loves her unconditionally, no mater what the spell does to you. He feels a bond with her, that you don't. And when you're mean to her he will not leave you alone. She will also feel it when you do things that could hurt her. Think of it like having a soulmate." The horrible man cackled.

"P-please don't! I didn't mean to bump you!" I begged.

"Hmmmm. Well you have good manners. I tell you what, I'm going to let you find a cure. A way to break the spell. It's up to you to find it however. Goodbye." The man said, vanishing.

I didn't believe him. Bella is my best friend! I'll never be mean to her.

I went off to play with my friends, Tasi and Lana, who were both preparing for the party tomorrow.

As they mentioned Bella's name, a sharp burning sensation like the one I had earlier traveled up my spine. I couldn't explain it. I hated her, and I could do nothing about it.

And that was when I met Arlo.

"Hello Ryuku! Nice to meet you, I'm Arlo."

To explain what it's like talking to him is hard. I could speak with him in my mind and he knew what I was saying.

"Hello Arlo."

"Please don't hesitate to talk to me! When will we get to see Bella?" He asked.

Burn. There it goes again.

"Tomorrow at her birthday." I hissed back.

"Hmm. Okay! I'm going to ask you lots of questions now." Arlo stated.

So I spent the day getting to know my knew other half. I liked him! He was really funny.

The next day at the party;

The kingdom celebrated the twins birthday like we did. They lots of gifts and praise. I couldn't help but glare at Bella the entire time. I felt eo guilty! She did nothing wrong but still I hated her.

As the celebration ended, us kids gave the twins their last gifts. When it was my turn, I passed the present I had to Bella.

She smiled and hugged me, she liked her present. Arlo was jumping around happily, satisfied she was happy.

But the familiar burn was back. I couldn't suppress it this time, and before I even blinked I'd shoved her off me and glared at her.

"Sorry Ryu! Did I squeeze you too hard?" Bella asked.

I didn't answer her question. "I'm Ryuku." I replied.

I stormed off and my father took me home, completely unaware of
What had happened today or the day before.

When we got home Arlo really wouldn't leave me alone. I played with my little sister Crystal and looked after my Mom who was tired from giving birth.

I couldn't help but plot how I was going to annoy Bella next. I felt conflicted. I really wanted to say sorry and let it be. But I couldn't do it. One thing was for sure, i needed a way to break the spell.

{Cue end of flashback}

I looked at Ant, who seemed to be in a state of shock.

"You were cursed?" He demanded.

"Yes I was." I replied.

He nodded. "Makes more sense. I'll help you find a way to break it. And tomorrow you can help and also tell me what else happened."

I grimaced. "Okay then. Can I leave?"

"Yes. But leave her alone. Stay away, whatever. Just don't go bothering her."

I nodded, bowed and walked out of his study. Bella's face was ashen as I walked in to the hall again.

"Uh you ok loser?" I asked.

She frowned and pointed to the wall. "Destruction resistant video stone. Someone was watching us."

Fontaine's pov:

Why was my little brother punching the daylights out of my daughter's fiance?

"Wow. Did he loose a bet or something?" Finn chuckled.

"I don't know Finn. He seemed pretty angry don't you think? And he said how long has he been doing this. What has been going on that we didn't know about?" I thought aloud.

"And to think we thought they were easy teenagers. I don't know what they could possibly be doing wrong." Finn said.

"Let's see if we can get any information out of Evie. Or maybe just watch them really carefully." I offered.

"She's your daughter. Look at her, she's so observant. She found our stone." Finn laughed

"That's not so bad. Either way we need to get to the bottom of this." I smirked.

"I love doing stuff like this! Let's go!" Finn grinned like kid.

I nodded and he held my hand as we walked out. Figuring out what was going proved to be much easier than I expected.

"You bloody asshole! Leave me alone!" Bella was yelling.

"Hey it's not my fault you walked into a trap i set ages ago." Ryuku replied. Finn used a rune to show us what was happening in the room.

Bella was stuck in a massive net. Eldoris and Evie were there trying to get her out whilst Ryuku looked annoyed.

"What did you tell Ant? Some lie that made him believe you're innocent?" Bella yelled.

"Nah. All he did was tell me off." Ryuku smirked.

Evie glanced at him, an Bella finally got out of the trap.

Then she walked over to Ryuku and slapped him on the cheek.

"Man you have got to stop doing that. It's not funny." Ryuku said rolling his eyes.

"Not funny like it's not funny how you pick on me? Not funny how it's not funny that you lie to me? Not funny how it's not funny that you have not stopped being a jerk since i was eight? If you didn't want to marry me you should have told your father and saved us all the trouble!" Bella yelled.

"Oh yeah, tell that to my 11 year old mind! It's not like i knew any different!" He yelled back.

"Why do you hate me so much?" Bella demanded.

"Because you're annoying an stuck-up and everything that I hate." Ryuku yelled back.

Eldoris and Evie didn't even seem surprised. Annoyed and bored, definitely but not surprised.

"Uh guys?" Eldoris interrupted.

"Shut up." Ryuku spat.

"So what exactly did you tell my uncle? That it was all some big game? A prank?" Bella asked.

"No. I told him the truth." He said. Eldoris and Evie both stiffened before looking excited.

"And what is that?" Bella said.

"That I hate you. And arrangements or not, I will never like you again." He stated.

Tears sprung into Bella's eyes and she stormed off, using her magic to leave without being seen.

"Please tell me that's not what you told him." Evie begged.

"Nah. I actually told him the truth." Ryuku shrugged.

"What did he do?" Eldoris asked.

"He's going to help me find the cure." Ryuku smiled.

Finn had glazed over as soon as Bella left the room. As soon as she left, he took of his royal robes, leaving him in just simple pants and a shirt.

Then he ran in and picked Ryuku up by the throat.

"You know who else you're gonna tell the truth to? Me. An you better get explaining because I'm not feeling very generous today." Finn smirked.

Oh boy.
