"What" I backed away from her in sheer horror.

"No please Zariah, listen to me!" She pleaded.

But I was already bolting towards the door screaming out Czar's name. Annika tried to grab a hold of my arm and I shoved her off of me.

"Don't touch me!" I yelled.

"I had to Zariah, Li-"

"You killed your mother Annika!"

"Liam told me I had to she cried."

Czar came busting into the room. "What's wrong."

"How about you ask Annika." I said.

Annika  shook her head and looked down at her hands. "Czar...I am so sorry."

"She killed your mother Czar, she's been the rat all alone. She's the reason why Liam always seems to know where we are."

"What?" Czar looked hurt as he stared at his twin sister.

"I had too Czar, I owe him my life."

Czar shook his head. "Guards !" 

"No, wait please let me explain!" She begged.

But it was too late, the guards were already rushing in to grab her. Her face was covered with tears as she continued to bed for mercy.

"Take her to the basement." Czar said lowly.

The guards nodded and began to carry Annika away. Lada and Andrea came rushing up the stairs with confused faces.

"What the hell is going on?" Lada asked.

"Annika was the rat....she-she killed mom." Czar said.

Lada eyes widened in shock. "What!? No she would never so such a thing!"

"It's true. She did it for Liam." I said.

"But-but why?' Anderi asked.

I took a deep breathe. "The real reason Liam killed your father was because he was sexually abusing Annika. She told Liam and Liam took matters into his own hands. She couldn't bring herself to tell you guys she was too scared. And she also is in love with Liam."

"How do you know that?" Czar asked.

"Come on, it doesn't take a genius to figure out. Why else would she be the rat if she didn't have a motive?"

Lada let out a loud whale before she began to sob, falling to her knees.

"Oh my god." She sobbed.

Czar and Anderi both ran to her. "What's wrong?" Czar asked.

Lada shook her head. "I-I thought it was just me....He had gotten to Annika too." 

My heart dropped and I felt sick again, Lada didn't have to finish talking for everyone to know what she was talking about. She had been molested by her father too.

"That sick basterd." Czar pulled her to his chest.

She sobbed into his shirt and suddenly I felt out of place as I stared at Czar and Lada. I then tapped Anderi on the shoulder and motioned for him to leave the room. He nodded at me and we did exactly that. I thought it would be better for Czar and Lada to be left alone so that they can have times to themselves to process what was going on.

I headed down the the living room and sat on the coach. Anderi sat beside me and we both stared up at the ceiling.

"Did you think Irina knew about what was happening to Lada and Annika?" Anderi asked.

"I do." I said.

Anderi turned to look at me . "What makes you say that?

"Because, there's no secrets in this family. She knew something."

Anderi turned to look back up at the ceiling. "What a day."

"What a week.'

We both laughed slightly but said nothing further. Suddenly I was thinking about Liam and what he had said. I wondered if he truly had it out for me or was there something more? Was I missing the bigger picture. It just makes no sense, why wouldn't he tell Czar about his father and Annika? Even if Annika had begged him, they were best friends, something would've slipped.

Unless....

I sat up in the chair. "Oh my god"

"What?' Anderi asked 

"Liam doesn't want revenge on Czar."

"What are you talking about?"

"He wants to know where his child is!"

"What?"

"Anderi just think about it! If Annika was in love with Liam I'm sure he loved her back. That's why he wanted to kill her father after discovering what he was doing to Annika. He never cared that Czar had killed his girlfriend he wanted to know where his child was!"

"What Zariah? The baby died with his girlfriend, she was still pregnant-"

"She wasn't the real one who was pregnant." I said.

Anderi sat up in the chair and looked at me, finally connecting the dots "Annika was."

"And Czar knows where the kid is."

"I think I do too."
