Prologue
"Papa! I don't know." I answered him back.
My father had brought a marriage proposal for me. I didn't liked the idea of getting married at this point. It was not like this that I was crazy on love marriage or something but I was not sure whether to say a yes or no.
"I handle it." Said my Sam. As my father walked away from my room.
Sam was my elder brother. Like not that typical elder brother one Indian girl would have but a cool one. He was just a year older than me and we barely shared a brother-sister relationship. We were the craziest buddies ever. Basically Sam was a year older than me but mentally he still was that cool college guy whereas I grew up mentally and an quite self sufficient.
He came to me and beside me on couch. His face was turned into a frown and he said me making a puppy face, "Yaar! Munda hot hai! Mujhse bhi zyada hot! (Buddy the guy is hot! Even hotter than me!)"
He showed me the picture and I looked at the guy in the picture from head to toe properly.
Yup! Sam was right! He is so hot!
Chocolate brown eyes, black hair neatly backbrushed, sharp features, gentleman attire and may be near six feet tall. But I felt that something was missing which was like the final touch which would make the look complete.
"What? Didn't I say you that he's hot?" Said Sam snapping me out from my thoughts.
"But hot doesn't mean everything a man needs to be." I said.
"God! What does a man need? Money? Talent? Success? Good reputation? And Mr.Gaurav Karshyav the great businesses tycoon has it all and we all know him really well. He is Papa's childhood friend's son." Said Sam.
"Childhood friend? Really? I thought that Jehangir Karshyav was only a business partner of Papa." I said.
"Whatever. But he is a good guy and I'm the surety." Said Sam proudly.
"I see and what makes you say that?" I asked.
"Actually Aisha Guru was my childhood buddy when we were in primary school. " Said he.
"Then where did your this buddy disappear all of a sudden?" Asked I.
"He changed school when we were in third standard and I heard that he was sent away to St.Paul's Residential School For Boys in Darjeeling." Said he.
"I see." Insaid thoughtfully.
"Just say yes Aish! Papa will never take the wrong decision for you." Said he pleading.
Yes! Papa would never take any wrong decision about me or Sam. He knows exactly what is right for me.
"Okay. It's a yes!" I said with a smile and Sam's face almost immediately brightened up and he ran out from the room to give the news to our parents.
He was almost going to go out when I pulled him back and said, "I'll still continue with my fashion company. I will marry this guy only if he allows me to do that."
"Well we did talk about that and it was a yes from that guy. He is really very reliable. I'm telling you you are really lucky to get him." He lectured me and walked away.
