"So guys! How was it? How were the boys?", Sonam asked to the audiences coming on the stage.
"Yea!", we heared everyone shouting as we were inside changing.
We changed quickly and went to the hall.
"Wasn't that good. I meant not better than the girls.", Sonam teased us expressing disgust.
"Yea!", again everyone shouted. Crowds are awkward.
"Shut up!", Varun climbed up on the stage and pushed Sonam's head from side.
"Boys will always be better than girls. What say boys?", Varun shouted, and guys screamed.
While the girls showed thumbs-down and made a 'boo' sound.
"Anyways.", Sonam whipped the air between her and Varun looking away. She seemed too classy while doing that.
Varun giggled and she giggled too.
"So the results are here.", Sonam shouted with a phone in her hand.
"The jury members are our aunties.", Varun said and everyone clapped.
She tapped twice on her phone and said, "So the results are..."
She was trying to create suspense. We were really excited. I could see Varun peeping at Sonam's phone from behind.
"The winner is Shraddha?", Varun shouted.
"Winner is Shraddha.", Sonam also shouted. Varun made a weird face. Everyone clapped.
"What? But... This is cheating.", Varun shouted in the mic and everyone laughed at him. Ofcourse it was funny.
Sonam held Varun's color and pulled her out of the stage. Everyone giggled.
D came up on stage with a mic on her hand.
"Shraddha, sweetheart, come up.", D gestured Shraddha to come up on the stage. We applauded for her as she climed up to the stage.
"We have choosen her as the winner all because she did a splendid and amazing job with her talent. She used her voice as well as her dance, without messing the performance up. And that's remarkable. Good job, sweetheart.", D said looking at Shraddha. Both smiled at eachother.
"Here is your prize.", D handed Shraddha a little box.
"Bro?", someone called me from side.
"Huh?", I turned and saw it was Sooraj whispering in my ears.
"Bro, don't you think it's too much? I meant weird.", he whispered and I made confused expression.
"I mean it is a sangeet. Not a competition. Why give those prizes and craps? Like, I meant, generally in others sangeet it doesn't happen. Why here?", Sooraj stupidly explained.
"Sooraj just because you didn't win it's not like you can say craps and junks about this.", Aathiya came from back with the girls and the girls laughed.
"Shut up.", Sooraj said making a face and went inside.
We giggled.
Suddenly high volume music started. Some were in the food corner, some were in the mini bar and some were dancing. The stage was movable, so it was removed.
I saw Alia dancing. She looked amazing. I mean amazing. Really very amazing. Her hairs were moving perfectly. And her smacking smile, it just chocked me. I took a deep breath.
I just whispered, "Hallelujah!"
'Cause that was all I could say. She looked so pretty. I just loved her. And everytime I looked at her my love increased. Maybe it had no limit.
"Hey!", suddenly someone jerked me from behind.
"Hey.", I said smiling still looking at Alia.
"Turn here.", the person held my jaws and turned my head towards her.
"Oh hey!", I said and my smile vanished in a second, when I realised that it was Sonakshi.
"You can stare at her for the rest of your life. Common, give some time to your friends too.", she said and I smiled.
She pulled me to a room where Kriti, Aathiya, Parineeti and Sooraj were already sitting.
"Where is Varun?", I asked.
"Where were you?", Aathiya shouted and Sonakshi pulled me to chair and pushed me to sit on it. She went and sat with girls on the queen sized bed.
"I was staring at Alia.", I said.
"What?", all shouted in sync and I realised what I said was a complete disaster.
"I meant, I was... Um... Actually...", I just looked at my feet, I didn't had anything to say or explain nor could I lie.
All of them giggled.
"It's ok.", Kriti said giggling.
"Anyways where is Varun?", I asked looking up.
"He is busy flirting.", Kriti said giggling.
"Flirting?"
"Um with Sonam Kapoor. Alia's cousin.", Sona explained.
"Oh!", I calmed down when I realised what Sona said. "What?!", I screamed.
"What happened? It's okay.", Kriti said making a weird face.
"No it isn't.", I shouted.
"But, why?", Sooraj asked.
"Because he is not allowed to flirt with my cousin-in-law.", I made an angry face looking at Sooraj.
Everyone giggled again. But that was not funny at all.
"Chill. He is not flirting. He is just talking to her. Nothing much.", Aathiya said giggling and teasing my expression.
"Ugh! You people are disaster.", I sighed and sat back.
"Then I wanna be a aeroplane crash.", Sooraj said and giggled.
"I wanna be earthquake.", Sona said.
"Me car accident.", Pari said.
"Me landslide.", Aathiya shouted.
"And me fire. You know I am hot.", Kriti winked and everyone giggled besides me.
"Wasn't really funny guys.", I made a disgusted face.
Everyone giggled again and that was too irritating.
I went out of the room searching for Varun.
As I looked around, I saw him with a tall girl. Taller than him, approximately by half or an inch.
"Varun.", I said going to him.
"Hey Sid.", Varun said smiling at me. I saw that the girl was Sonam as expected.
"Hi Sid.", Sonam said smiling at me.
"Hi.", I smiled back.
"What's up?", Varun said taking a sip from his glass of wine.
"Nothing much. Was getting bored so thought of joining you two. Didn't disturb, I guess?", I asked.
"That your daily job.", Varun whispered. And only I could hear it. I knew Sonam didn't hear it by her expression.
I fake smiled at Varun.
"Hey Alia. Come here.", Varun called Alia. And that's when I noticed that she was besides me. But was talking to some other of her friends.
"Yes?", Alia said, turning. "Anyways Sid, meet them.", Alia said gesturing me to follow her to her friends.
I looked at Varun and he winked wickedly at me. I couldn't help but smile.
"These are my friends.", she said and I introduced myself to a lot of her friends.
The day went very good.
Nidhi, Arjun, my few guests, my friends and I headed back to home.
