Y/N POV:

I had been hanging out with Ezra, Felix, and Adrien more often and it was weird.

Felix always looked upset when I hung out with A friend and asked who I was texting whenever I texted Ezra.

"Well, you can't exactly blame him, Y/N. I would be upset too if one of my boyfriends was hanging around girls all the time." B/F/N tells me.

"I guess you're right. But we hate each other and it's an arranged marriage so it's not like we're actually engaged, right?" I say while nervously sipping my drink.

"Well, maybe he doesn't see it that way." F/N comes in.

"Come on, guys. You don't think he really feels that way, do you?" I ask them.

"Well, you do spend a lot of time with Adrien and this "Ezra" character." B/F/N says, being all weird when saying "Ezra"

"I came to you guys for help, not to criticize me. I get enough of that at home." I say while rolling my eyes.

They both look at me sympatheticly.

"Adrien's like a brother to me and Ezra's just a friend." I explain to them.

F/N checks her phone "Well, in that case, you might wanna see this article." She says and hands me her phone.

My eyes widen as B/F/N and I view the article.

The headline was "Y/N L/N caught red-handed cheating on her fiancée"

"Oh no, wait until my mom hears about this. I'm dead meat." I say, starting to pick up my stuff and leave.

"Forget your mom, what about Felix?" F/N says.

"I don't think she has to worry about Felix, given they're not really engaged and Ethan and her are just friends." B/F/N says, giving me a look.

"His name is Ezra." I say, sticking my tounge playfully out at her.

I put my things into my bag and grab my drink

"Gotta go, girls. See you guys later. Love you,." I say and run out.

"Love you too!" They call as I run out of the cafe.

I run to my house to see my mom standing in the living room, waiting for me.

I get inside and she nearly scares me half to death.

"Heyyyyyy, Mommmm" I say while figeting nervously.

"Y/N L/N, would you like to explain why there's a news article of you hanging around with some ruffian street boy instead of Felix?!" My mother interagates.

"He's not a ruffian boy, he's my friend. Just a friend. Plus, I wasn't cheating on Felix because we're not really engaged." U say, starting to get annoyed.

"Well, the media doesn't know that, do they?" My mother says with venom in her voice. "Honestly, Y/N. You aren't capable of following simple directions." My mother says while muttering something else hateful under her breath.

I feel tears pool up in my eyes as I say "Well, I'm sorry I'm such a disappointment."

I run downstairs and start packing a suitcase.

After packing up a few things I would need, I run back downstairs and open the door when my mom starts yelling at me again.

"Y/N, where the hell do you think you're going?! You're not allowed to go anywhere until we get this article sorted out!" My mother demands.

"No! I'm done with this stupid engagement and I'm done with you! I'm tired of you controlling my entire life!" I say while almost sobbing.

"You pathetic girl! Where else do you expect to go?!"

"I don't know. But anywhere is better then here." I say and run off.

My mother keeps screaming my name and I keep running until her screechy voice is out of hearing range.

I didn't have the heart to face Ezra or Felix right now, and I couldn't stay with B/F/N or F/N because B/F/N's parents are taking them on vacation.

They had invited me to come too but I couldn't, due to my controlling mother.

I tried to think of where else I could stay until I came into view of Marinette's parents bakery.

That would be perfect.

I ran up to the bakery and walked in.

"Why hello, Y/N. What brings you here?" Mari's mom, Sabine says.

"Anything we can get you?" Mari's dad, Tom asks.

"Well, uh, my mother and I had a fight and I didn't have anywhere else to go..so I was um, wondering if I could stay here for a little while." I say while biting my lip and rubbing my arm nervously.

Tom and Sabine look at me with sympathy in their eyes.

"Of course, dear. You can stay here as long as you need. Marinette's just up in her room, you can stay with her. If that's okay." Sabine says sweetly.

"That's fine. Thank you so much" I say thankfully.

"You're welcome, Y/N. Anything for one of our daughter's close friends." Tom says.

I wipe my tears out of my eyes and give them a small smile.

"We'll be up in a bit to bring you both some snacks.*

"Thank you so much! I'm gonna go find Marinette." I say and start to walk upstairs.

"Alright." They say and continue serving costumers.

I run upstairs to Marinette's apartment and walk inside.

I hear Marinette talking to someone but I couldn't tell who it was.

"Marinette!" I call as I climb the stairs to her little hatch.

"Marinette?" I call as I open the hatch.

Marinette jumps back in shock.

I climb out of the hatch and put my suitcase on the floor.

"Relax, Mari. It's just me." I say while laughing slightly.

"Y/N! You almost gave me a heart attack!" She says while looking at something behind me.

"What are you looking at?" I say, starting to turn around but Mari grabs my arm to stop me.

"Nothing! I uh, what are you doing here exactly?" Mari says nervously.

"My mom and I had a fight and your parents said I could stay here, if that's okay with you." I say, curious of what she could be looking at.

"Yeah, yeah, sure,sure." Mari says, as if she was only half listening.

"I just got a call from Adrien, apparently him and Kagami are madly in love and moving to Japan to be together" I say while smirking.

If that didn't get her, nothing would.

Mari seemed to snap back to reality because her eyes widened.

"W-what? Come on, we have to stop them!" Marinette said while she started to push me downstairs.

"Relax, Mari. I was kidding."

"Never joke about Adrien." She says while glaring at me.

"Okay, okay. I'm sorry but you were zoned out, looking at something." I say and start to look in the direction she was looking in.

In the corner of my eye, I see a red blue and narrow my eyes in suspicion.

"That doesn't matter! Wanna watch some movies?" Mari suggests.

"Uh yeah, sure?" I say and put my suitcase down, sitting on her bed.

Marinette and I watch movies for a little while and just talk about life.

Her parents bring us up some snacks and I'll admit, they were the best snacks I had had in a long time.

They blow up an air mattress for me and give me some blankets and pillows, making sure I'm comfortable.

I get a few hundred calls from my mom but I just ignore them.

Marinette and I laugh and talk for a while until both of us fall asleep.
