Ahana's pov

Today is karwa chauth. My first karwa chauth and first festival after marriage with my husband and in-laws which is why it's more special. This three days passed in a blur with all the preparation and arrangements.
The thought of Randhir being away from me on this special day was itself scary but Randhir never went to his trip and is here with me. Currently it's 3:30 am in the morning and I am getting ready to start my day and have my sargi which I have to eat before the sun rises and after this I'll directly eat after seeing the moon. I came out of my thoughts and started getting ready. I wore a red colour sharara suit with slight work on it and I came out of the closet to the dressing table. I left my wet hair open and wearing a bindi and my earings I was ready. I just had mangalsutra in my neck and chooda in my hand. I looked back at Randhir to see him sleeping peacefully which made me smile. Coming to him I kissed his forehead not having the heart to wake him up for filling my hairline. Once if he gets up then he won't be able to sleep back so better I let him sleep. I gave a last look at myself and went down.

Coming down I went to dining area to see maa papa present there. I frowned seeing papa but anyways I wished him

"Good morning papa"
He smiled looking up and wished me back and I wished the same to maa too.

"Kitni sundar lag rahi hai"
Mom stated making me smile.

I settled on one of the chair and asked papa

"Papa aap itni subah yaha kya kar rahe hai?"
Papa smiled not saying anything and maa with slight blush said

"Ye bhi har saal mere sath vrat rakhte hai"
I looked astonished hearing this thinking how much papa still loves maa because even my dad loves mom but he never did something like this for her. Not that this means he loves my mom any less but this gesture is enough to melt any wife's heart. I smiled a big smile to papa and said

"You love maa so much"
He nodded chuckling and said

"Bhai zindagi bhar sath rehna hai. Ab ye hamari lambi umar ke liye vrat rakh rahi hai toh Hume bhi inki lambi umar ka dhyan rakhna hoga na"
We laughed at this while mom was blushing. Ma said

"Ahana chalo beta bhagwan ko bhog chadha kar phir hum bhi kha lete hai isse pehle ki suraj nikal aaye"
I nodded and we all went in the pooja ghar and after a small pooja we offered the bhog to god.

"Beta tumhari maang khali kyu hai? Aaj ke din toh sindoor aur zaruri hota hai puttar"
Ma exclaimed looking at my empty hairline and I stammered saying

"Actually ma...woh"
How can say that I wanted Randhir to fill my hairline? But before I could say anything I heard my husband's voice

"Mom mein aa gya hu toh mein hi iski maang bhar deta hu"
I looked at him to see him all freshed as if taken a shower but in his track pants and t-shirt. He took a pinch of vermilion from mandir and looking at me filled my hairline making me close my eyes. He stood beside me and Papa said

"Tu kyu itni jaldi uth gaya?"
Randhir rubbed the back of his neck and shrugging said

"Arre aap itne saalo se mom ke liye vrat rakh rahe hai toh kya mein apni biwi ke liye nhi rakh skta? Akhir apka hi beta hu toh apke hi nakshe kadam pe chalunga na"
Maa papa laughed at his excuse while I blushed looking down. We all then moved to the dining table and settled down. Ma gave me my sargi which had dry fruits, fruits, mathri, kheer,sweets and many other things.

I touched her feet taking her blessings and together we four of us started eating. I was just having an apple because eating this early in the morning is kind of different and neither do I feel like eating. Maa papa completed eating and papa said

"Chal Randhir meine meri wife ko toh khila diya ab tu bhi apni wali ko khila de"
I looked down hearing him and Randhir chuckled like a besharam he is. Ma glared at papa and said

"Aise bhi koi baat karta hai apne bete aur bahu se"
Papa didn't said anything raising his hands in surrender and maa turned to us.

"Beta I know it's not our regular time to eat this much heavy but we have to eat it because whole day we won't be able to have anything not even water so please eat nicely"
She said and I nodded saying

"Ji maa"
She turned to Randhir and ordered

"Randhir make sure she eats some good amount okay?"
Randhir nodded blinking his eyes and after that they both went to their room. I stood up to go in the kitchen to bring some orange juice for myself but Randhir stopped me.

"Jaan come here"
I turned and went to were he was sitting and holding my waist he settled me on his lap. I circled my hands around his neck and he asked

"Aapne mujhe uthaya kyu nahi to fill your hairline?"
I smiled not meeting his eyes and replied

"Woh aap sote hue itne pyaare lag rahe the ki mann hi nhi kiya apko disturb karne ka"
He laughed at this and I hide my face in his neck blushingly. He then asked

"Acha woh thik hai but now why are you not eating anything?"
I removed my face and said huffing

"Itni subah subah mujhse ye nhi khaya jaata"
He smiled and said

"But you have to eat na or else from were will you get the energy to do other work all day"
I nodded agreeing and after that he himself made me eat by his hand and ate himself too. After filling our tummy to the max,we came in our room and keeping my dupatta aside I lied down on the bed with Randhir.

"You sleep for sometime as it's still very early in the morning"
He suggested and I nodded but said

"You are also keeping fast for me?"
He nodded roaming his hand in my hair and I said

"But it was not necessary"
He frowned upon hearing this and replied

"Who said it's necessary aur sirf tum kar rahi ho isiliye I am also doing it? I am doing it because I want to. Agar tum meri lambi umar ke liye itna kar skti ho toh mein mere pyaar ke liye ye nhi kar sakta?"
I looked at him again amazed by his words and said looking at him dreamily

"I still can't believe that I got a husband like you"
This time he smirked and said

"I know I am too good to be true"
I rolled my eyes and said

"And egoistic too"
He looked at me with big eyes and asked

"You think I am egoistic?"

"I believe"
I said now smirking while he made a tsk Sound and said

"You shouldn't have said that"
I raised my eyebrows and asked

"Really?"
He nodded and I asked

"Why?"
But instead of replying,he started tickling me making me laugh loudly

"Rand.....Ranhirrr.....no...... please please.... Randhir"
I tried stoping him in between and he exclaimed

"Now say that I am egoistic haa"
I was laughing like a maniac as he was tickling my waist mercilessly. I said

"Ohh.... Randhir ..... please.... Stop"
He stopped finally making me take a breath of relief. He hovered over me taking both my hands in his one over my head making my breath hitch because of the sudden proximity and caressing my cheek with his other hand ordered

"Now say that Randhir you are charming, loving, caring, handsome and most dashing husband in the world"
I widened my eyes and deadpanned

"I am not going to say any such thing"
He quirked his eyebrows challenging me and asked

"Are you sure"

"Yes"
I replied but it sounded like a question even to me. Out of nowhere he again started tickling me making me jump and laugh.

"Ab bhi nhi bologi?"
I controlled my laugh and said

"Acha.... okay... I'll say"
He stopped again and waited for me to say as he asked. I took a breath and repeated his words.

"Randhir you are charming,loving caring,handsome and most dashing husband in the world"
He smiled that boyish smile and kissing my cheeks said

"Aww thank you so much baby"
I scoffed at his acting which made him laugh. He took me in his arms and said

"Chalo now sleep"
I snuggled more into him and closing my eyes said

"Okay I am sleeping but aap mujhe akele chodd ke office ka kaam karne matt chale jaana"
Kissing my forehead he replied

"Nhi jaunga Mrs Malhotra because this whole day I'll be with you"
I smiled in content and after sometime I was fast asleep.

Next when I woke up I was alone on bed which made me frown. I sat with the help of the headboard and rubbed my eyes to remove the last ounce of sleep. I turned my head towards the side table and saw a sticky note there which stated

Sorry had to leave for an important work but will return in sometime. Please don't be angry and don't stress yourself unnecessarily

I smiled at the slightly imperfect heart he had drawn but pouted the next moment thinking of the words he said earlier that he will be by my side the whole day but see he anyways went to do some work. I shaked my head and washing my face and making myself presentable went down. It was 12 in the afternoon and the helpers were moving here and there for evening function. Maa was giving instructions to them and my dad and papa were in the living room with some other relatives came to celebrate the festival together. I went to ma and said

"Maa aap kyu khud ko stress de rahi hai? Thak jayegi aap"
Maa smiled shaking her head and said

"Kuch nhi hoga mujhe don't worry beta"

"Kya don't worry? Even you have kept the fast and it will effect your health"
I made her sit down inspite of her struggle.

"Ab bataiye ki were are others?"
I asked sitting beside her and she replied

"All the ladies are doing their preparation for evening. Sid is in the garden looking after the decoration with Adith,your both fathers are gossiping and laughing without any care of the world and bholu is out for some work as he informed me"
I laughed as she completed saying this in one breath and said

"Then why are you not pampering yourself with others haa? Even you need to look the prettiest"
She smiled and shaking her head said

"Mein ye sab karke kya karugi?aur waise bhi tum ladkiyo ko sajna sawarna hai"

"Arre aise kaise apko zarurat nhi hai? Sundar dikhne ki koi umar thodi hoti hai. Toh chaliye hum bhi unke paas chalte hai"
I held her hand taking her with me again without hearing her protest and came in the guest room were my mom,choti,Ruhi, Swara and Anshu were getting themselves groomed with the help of the staff appointed from the beauty parlour for that. I told the girl to do the few things necessary for maa and others ladies and even I did the basic required things. I was done with that pretty quickly while the others were still busy so I came out from there and came in the living room when papa called me

"Ahana beta can you please call Adith from the garden?"
He asked and I nodded smiling and went in the garden. It was almost evening and I realised that I haven't seen Randhir till now and even my phone was in my room so I couldn't call him. Anyways coming in the garden,I spotted Adith instructing something to the helper.

"Adith?"
I called and hearing my voice he looked at me and came were I was standing

"Ji bhabhi how can I help you?"
He said in his usual jolly tone which made me smile and I replied

"Actually papa is calling you"
He nodded and together we started walking in when I said

"Should I make some coffee for you? You are roaming here and there from very long time"
Adith smiled rubbing his neck and said

"Actually I have also kept fast for Swara"
I widened my eyes with a smirk which made him blush a little and said

"Ohh ho abhi se practice haa not bad at all"
He chuckled and said

"Woh sab chodo but were is Randhir kabse dikhayi nhi de raha hai"

"Mujhe bata ke thodi jaate hain bas bol dete hai ki aa jaonga thode der mein"
I said in a complaining tone and he chuckled. He went to papa and I finally made my way to the room and coming in, closed the door. I picked up my phone from the couch here and was about to call my husband when someone hugged me from behind scaring me for a second.

"Randhir where were you?"
He turned me to him and caging my waist said

"I am really sorry but I went to office. The deal for which I was supposed to go to Singapore they came here in Mumbai for the meeting so I had to rap it up anyhow"
I hugged him and nodded understanding while he held me close kissing my crown.

"How was the meeting?"
I asked breaking the hug and he said

"It was pretty well aur agar aage bhi sab thik hua toh we could get the deal"
I smiled hearing it because even if he said this deal didn't mattered to him more than me but I was somewhere feeling guilty of it.

"Chalo you have to get ready right? So take a shower and come out looking like my beautiful bride"
I blushed at his words and nodded. I came in bathroom with my toiletries and having a nice shower I came in the closet. I was about to remove my outfit for today when my eyes fell on a big box on the table with a note too. I frowned but getting close to it, opened it only to gasp at the beautiful designer blood red lehenga in front of me with its matching jewelry and other accessories. Keeping the lehenga aside,I opened the letter which had

"I know I made a promise to you in the morning to stay by your side on this special day which I obviously broke. So this is a small gift from my side to make it up to you. Meri pasand in sab chizo mein kuch khaas nahi hai but I hope you liked it and will adorn it.

I was smiling like a fool reading it and a tear of happiness slipped my left eye. I kissed the letter keeping it safe in the wardrobe and started getting ready in the dress my husband bought. After completely wearing the dress,I wore my necklace and earrings with mangalsutra and chooda in my hands. I made my hair in a sleek low bun and added some mogra flowers to it. I didn't do much make up too just my lipstick, eyeliner and mascara. Lastly I wore a red bindi and spraying some perfume I was ready.

I took deep breath calming myself down to see Randhir's reaction. After mustering up the courage,I opened the closet door and coming in the bedroom I looked at Randhir who was looking drop dead gorgeous in his kurta pajama all ready.

I stood rooted to my place as he forwarded to me with his intense eyes which every time sets my body on fire. He came and stood in front of me just an inch away barely and snakes his hand around my waist. He made me look into his eyes by cupping my chin and whispered

"I have no words left to express how insanely gorgeous and beautiful you are looking. Now I think I made the right decision of gifting this lehenga to you because you took my breath away in the first look"
I blushed deep red and hide my face in his chest. He hugged me and filled my hairline again. We were lost in ourselves when there was a knock on the door. I went and opened it to see maa standing there all ready.

"Maa please come in"
She smiled coming in and cupping my face kissed my forehead saying

"Kitni pyaari lag rahi hai pure shringar mein"
I smiled looking down and she further said giving me a box

"I came to give you this. This are the bangles beeji gave you. You have to wear this and also your chunri given by me on your roka"
I nodded understanding and lastly saying

"Aur jaldi niche aa jana katha shuru karni hai. Bholu tu bhi jaldi aa ja beta"
Randhir nodded smiling and she went down. I opened the box and wore the bangles adding it with my chooda. Taking my chunri too,we both made our way downstairs to see everyone roaming here and there and the garden decorated beautifully. We spotted our moms and friends in one group when Ruhi called me

"Ahana come fast"
I nodded and looked at Randhir who kissed my temple and said

"Go,I am here only"
I smiled and made my way to them while Randhir went towards his friends. I hugged my friends and moms and Swara complimented me saying
"Damn Ahana you are looking so gorgeous yaar. No doubt Randhir is smitten by you"
I blushed at her words making others laugh but composing myself I said

"Mera chod tu khud itni beautiful dikh rahi hai aur I heard even Adith has kept fast for you"
Now it was her chance to blush and we hooted looking at her face. Mom controlled her laughter and said

"Tum logo ka ye chalta rahega par hum jaake dekh kar aate hai ki katha kab shuru hone wali hai"
We nodded and both moms left while we were left alone.

"But Ahana honestly that newly wedded bride wala glow kya noor de raha hai tere chehre ko. I am sure Randhir might have fainted seeing you"
Ruhi said this time and I smiled saying slowly

"Actually this is his gift to me"
They gasped hearing me making me blush

"You are lucky. Warna humare pati toh na hamare liye vrat rakhte hai aur naa surprises dete hai"
Ruhi exclaimed dramatically making us laugh and she too joined us. I glanced at Randhir who was talking with Adith and Sidharth and laughed at something which made me smile too. How can someone be so perfect. His smile, his laugh,his talks even his scolding which I receive very rarely makes me happy and when he is not around for a second than I feel so restless and I feel empty from within. And that's meant to happen because he completes me. There's no Ahana without Randhir and I won't have it any other way. I came out of my thoughts by Swara and we started talking randomly when later we were called for the Katha. We all ladies sat in a circle around the artificial pond and one elderly lady was reciting the story of karwa chauth. After she completed the story which had the importance and history of karwa chauth,we waited for the moon to grace us with its blessings but seems like he is also in the mood to tease us.

"Arre chand aa gya"
Suddenly anshu shouted and we all looked up to see the moon all in its glory. I don't know if it was my imagination or today's impact that the moon was looking so beautiful and was shining brightly.

We circled our pooja thali among ourselves covering our head with the chunri. After that we stood up standing in front of our husbands. Randhir stood in front of me flashing me his heart warming smile making me smile in return and blush too. I first did the arti of the moon just like maa did beside me offering it water and flowers. I then turned to Randhir and did the same with him. I applied tilak on his forehead and showered flower on him too. All the time his eyes were on me looking at my every move making me shy and nervous. I took the sieve from the thali and Randhir took the thali from my hand holding it. I smiled at him and turning looked at the moon through it. I closed my eyes and prayed for my husband's health, prosperity and happiness. To always keep him away from the evil eye and every bad thing has to face me before even touching him and I promise I will love and cherish this man with my everything. Opening my eyes,I turned to Randhir who had his eyes fixed on me. I looked at him through the sieve completing the ritual. I bend down to touch his feet when he stopped me saying

"No, don't do that"
Without listening to him,I touched his feet closing my eyes and on cue his hand rested on my head making me smile. Standing straight I smiled at him to which he shaked his head. I took the thali from his hand when he too bend down shocking me to touch my feet and I stepped back.

"Aap kya kar rahe hai?"
But he still touched my feet making my heart race and standing up said

"I want my wife's blessing as well, yaar!"
I smiled with slight tears shining my eyes with the love he showers on me. He then took the water and made me drink it with his hand. I did the same with him and after that he made me eat the sweet and finally I broke my fast. I took a sigh of relief finally eating something which made Randhir smile. I kept the thali beside on the table and took all the sweets and started eating.

"Arre mujhe bhi khilao, even I kept fast for you"
I smiled sheepishly hearing him and forwarded one gulab jamun to him. He happily took the bite from my hand and sighed in content. Later all the guest left after dinner and only the close family members were remaining. We made our way to the dining area and took our seats. Randhir himself served to me. He forwarded a morsel to me making nervous as everybody was present here. He assured me through his eyes to eat when we heard Papa's voice saying

"Bhai aaj saare mard apni wife ko khud khana khilayenge akhir unhone hum log ko liye vrat rakha tha toh hum itna toh kar hi skte hai"
All agreed hooting when he looked at us and winked making us blush. We all had our dinner and Randhir made sure that I ate properly and himself too. After dinner I came in our room making an excuse to change but I was planning something else. Coming in the room I did all the arrangements I wanted and satisfied with my work,I removed my phone and messaged Randhir to come in the room fast. I was nervous and excited of Randhir's reaction after he sees it this. I was fidgeting with my dupatta when the door got opened and Randhir came in looking somewhat worried.

"Jaan are you oka....?"
He asked as soon as he came in but stopped abruptly looking at the room. I held my breath as he scanned the room which was decorated beautifully.

He came to me and asked being in daze

"Jaan you know were this will lead to?"
I blushed looking down and said

"Yes and I want exactly that Randhir. I want to be yours in every sense"
His eyes shined with amazement and intensity and coming more closer he held my waist with his one hand and with other cupped my cheek making me close my eyes at the contact. Joining our forehead with each other he asked huskily

"What happened to you suddenly?"
Opening my eyes I looked into his chocolate brown orbs and said

"We have waited enough Randhir and you have given me enough time. Now I want to experience your love because I can't stay away from you anymore"
He closed his eyes breathing heavily and his breath fanned my face giving goosebumps all over my body and whispered

"Are you sure? Because once I start then there won't be any chance to back out today"
I shivered at his words and replied

"I am ready for everything Randhir. Make me yours please"
I literally pleaded and that was it for him as the next second his lips were on mine ravishing it making me think that this night is going to be very long one for us.
