The sun rises and the smell of the tasty food was coming from the home and markets. People have started their day.

In the Chauhan house, everyone was having breakfast but Aditya found Avni lost and she was not eating properly. Aman and Aarti also noticed that.

Aman: Avu?

Avni came out of her thought and looked at Aman.

Avni: hmm.

Aman: what happened, why are you not eating anything?

Avni looked at her plate and then she looked at Aman. Aditya was looking at Avni.

Avni: ab, nothing, I am not hungry.

Aman frowned.

Avni: excuse me.

Avni got up and went from there. Aditya and Aman thought and looked at each other. Aman lowered his gaze and thought.

Aditya came into the kitchen and he saw Aarti who was keeping the vessels on the counter. Aarti saw him.

Aditya: Bhabhi.

Aditya looked on.

Avni was sitting in her room and she inhaled the smell of something. Avni looked at the door and Aarti came there and a tray of food was in her hands. Avni frowned. Aarti came and kept the tray on the table. Avni got surprised.

Avni: Halwa puri with chickpea dish. My favorite breakfast.

Aarti smiled.

Aarti: yes, I ordered it for you from the market.

Avni smiled and tried to hug her but couldn’t be able to lean. Avni made a sad pout. Aditya was looking at them from the window and he smiled to see Avni. Aarti moved to Avni and hugged her.

Avni; thank you. You are the best Bhabhi in the world.

Aarti smiled.

Aarti: ok now enough of buttering. Now have it.

Avni broke the hug and made a pout. Aditya smiled.

Aarti: have it.

Avni smiled widely and start eating. Aditya was waiting for Avni’s reaction.

Avni’s said while chewing: ummm, it's so yummy.

Aditya smiled and Aarti looked at him. Aditya looked down and Aarti felt bad but then Aditya passed a smile and Aarti smiled.

Aditya in mind: Thank God, you ate something.

Aditya looked at his burned hand and recalled that it burned while making puri. Aditya looked at Avni and smiled.

It was the time of the evening, Aditya was not at home and Avni was sitting in the living area. Avni was watching the movie. Aman came and sat there. Avni saw him and switched off the TV. They smiled to see each other.

Aman: Ab, Avu...

Aman hesitated.

Aman: ab... Avu, don’t get me wrong but what have you thought about your life? What do you want?

Avni frowned.

Avni: means?

Aman: what have you thought about you and Aditya?

Avni smiled sarcastically.

Avni: why? Now I am becoming a burden on you.

Aman shook his head.

Aman: No, Avu, you are getting me wrong. You are not a burden on me. It is our home and Chauhan mansion is also our home. You have equal rights on everything. You are living in your home, not mine. I am just asking you because we are here only for two months more then we will go back home then what will you do? What you have thought about your future?

Aarti came there. Avni saw her. Aarti sat with Aman.

Aarti: Avni, Aman is thinking for your betterment.

Avni got angry. She is pregnant so she gets frustrated with little things. Avni got up and was going from there. Avni stopped and turned to them.

Avni: if I have become a burden on you then tell me, I will go from here but don’t play these emotional blackmailing games with me.

Aman and Aarti got shocked and Avni went. Aarti looked at Aman who looked upset. Aarti kept her hand on Aman’s shoulder. Aman looked at Aarti.

Aarti: don’t take her words to your heart. She is pregnant and it happens in pregnancy. Women get angry about small things and have mood swings.

Aman nodded and he looked in the direction where Avni went.

It was the time of the night, Aman was standing near the window and was looking at the sky. Avni came to him and Aman saw her. Aman smiled and Avni made a sad face. Avni held her ears and tears formed in her eyes.

Avni: I am sorry.

Aman smiled and took away her hands and then he hugged Avni.

Aman: it's ok, Princess. I understand.

They broke the hug and Aman wiped Avni’s tears.

Aman: come, sit.

Aman took Avni to the bed and made her sit and then he sat.

Aarti was coming into the room and she heard the laughter. Aarti came and stopped at the door. She saw Aman and Avni laughing and she smiled. Aarti went and came back with the tray of three cups of ice cream.

Aarti: Ice cream.

Avni saw her.

Avni: Bhabhi, I…

Aarti: later, right now enjoy this ice cream else it will melt.

Aarti kept the tray on the bed and gave the cups to Avni and Aman and then she pulled the chair for her and sat. They enjoyed the ice cream with their chit-chat.

The next day, Aditya was sitting in the living area and he saw Avni who was coming by holding a file in her hands and carrying a handbag but he didn’t say anything. Aarti came there and a wallet was in her hand.

Avni: let’s go.

Aarti looked at Avni and then she squeezed her eyes and palmed her head. Avni frowned.

Aarti: Avni, I am so sorry, I forgot about it. I am going with Shweta Aunty to buy groceries. She asked me for help.

Avni: Oh. Now how will I go?

Aarti: ab, sorry.

Aditya got up.

Aditya: come, I am coming with you.

Avni looked at Aditya. Before Avni say, Aarti said.

On the other side, Avni and Aditya were present in the doctor’s room.

Doctor: is he your husband?

Avni looked down and nodded. The doctor nodded.

Doctor: so you got the time to come with her.

Aditya looked down.

Aditya in mind: If I had an idea about my baby then I came with her. I even didn’t know about it.

Doctor: anyways, come, let’s start the sonography.

Avni nodded and was about to get up.

Aditya: can I come there?

Avni looked at Aditya.

Aditya: I want to see my baby.

The doctor nodded. They went to bed and Avni lay there. Aditya helped her and Avni looked at Aditya. No matter how much Avni denies it, she always wanted Aditya beside her when she come to visit the doctor, especially at the time of the sonography. Avni was looking at Aditya who looked at her and their eyes locked. The doctor cleared her throat and they came back to the real life. They looked at the doctor and then Aditya moved back and moved away. Avni felt awkward. Aditya stood at the foot side. The doctor started its work and Aditya saw his baby. Avni and Aditya’s eyes filled with tears. Avni looked at Aditya who was looking at his baby and the baby was moving. Avni smiled with teary eyes. Aditya smiled to see the baby. The doctor asked Aditya to come near and made him hear the heartbeat of the baby. A tear fell from Aditya’s eyes.

Aditya: it, it is my, my baby’s heartbeat?

The doctor nodded and Aditya smiled with teary eyes. Aditya looked at Avni who was smiling and her eyes were moist.

Later, they were sitting in the doctor’s cabin.

Doctor: Baby is fine but Avni, your BP is high and it is not good for you and the baby.

Avni and Aditya got worried.

Doctor: I am giving you medicine, have it on time and keep your mind calm. Stress is not good for you. Hmm?

Avni nodded. Aditya thought. They came out of the doctor’s cabin and stopped. Aditya sighed.

Aditya: what is this, Avni? Why your BP is high? What is disturbing you? What is the problem?

Avni was already stressed and now she got irritated.

Aditya got shocked.

Later, Aditya was standing near the window and was thinking. Aditya sighed and was looking upset.

On the other side, Avni was sitting in her room and reading a book to calm her mind. Avni heard a knock on the door and she looked up. Avni made a face to see Aditya. Aditya came inside carrying the shopping bag. Aditya was smiling. Avni looked at the things and Aditya came to Avni. Aditya kept the things on the bed and Avni saw that.

Aditya: Avni, see, what I have bought.

Aditya took out the soft toy and Avni smiled to see it.

Aditya said while taking out the toys: I went shopping. I thought now only a few months are left so we have to buy things for the baby. See, this penguin is so cute.

Avni was looking at Aditya and she felt Aditya’s sadness.

Aditya: see this teddy.

Avni felt bad. Avni realized that she hurt him. Aditya took out a toy and it was a rattle cot toy.

Aditya: wait, let me show you.

Aditya fixed the parts and played. Avni smiled slightly and Aditya chuckled and wiped his tears. Avni got shocked. Aditya sniffed.

Aditya: you can fix it on the baby’s bed or cradles.

Aditya: there are some clothes also. Please accept these toys and clothes.

Avni felt bad to see Aditya.

Aman was sitting in his room on the bed and was working on the bed. Aarti came into the room.

Aman looked at her.

Aarti: Aditya Ji is going back.

Aman got shocked.

Aman thought and Aarti went from there. Aman was looking at her.

Later, Avni was sitting on the couch and was scrolling down her phone.

Suddenly, Avni winced and Aditya was passing from there. Aditya heard Avni and he ran to her. Aditya came to Avni.

Aditya: what happened?

Avni smiled.

Avni: the baby kicked.

Aditya frowned.

Aditya: what?

Avni: the baby kicked.

Aditya smiled and got emotional.

Aditya: really?

Avni looked at Aditya and smiled with teary eyes. Avni winched and Aditya got alert. Aditya touched Avni’s womb with a shaking hand and he felt his baby. Aditya shivered and Avni smiled with teary eyes.

Aditya: Avni, Avni, the baby is moving. I,  I felt it.

Avni nodded.

Avni whispered: yes.

They smiled with teary eyes and then they looked at each other. The reality hit Avni and her smile faded and Aditya also came back to reality. Avni looked down and kept her hair behind her ear and wiped her tears. Avni sniffed. Aditya moved back and wiped his tears. Aditya and Avni looked at each other and then Avni looked away. Aditya looked down. Avni was about to get up.

Aditya: you stay here. I am going.

Avni looked at Aditya who looked at her and Avni looked down. Aditya looked down and then he got up and went from there. Avni was looking at him and she thought.

At the time of the evening, Avni and Aarti were coming back from shopping and talking. Aarti was carrying many bags and three bags were in Avni’s hand. They were moving to the apartment. Aditya came on the porch and he held the railing. Aditya looked around and then his eyes fell on Avni and Aarti. Avni wiped her sweat. Aditya got shocked.

Aditya: this girl.

Aditya ran from there. The elevator was not free so he came downstairs from the stairs. Aditya was coming to Avni hurriedly. Avni and Aarti stopped to see him. Aditya came to Avni who was confused.

Aditya said while taking the shopping bags: Give them to me.

Avni was looking at the hands and then she looked at Aditya.

Aditya: what is this, Avni? You don’t care about yourself? You went shopping in this condition.

Avni looked down.

Aditya: take care of yourself at least a little. If not for you then think about your baby.

Avni looked at Aditya. Aarti smiled.

Aditya: look, how pale and tired you are looking.

Avni looked down and Aditya realized that he scolded Avni.

Aditya: ab, I am sorry.

Avni gulped and nodded while looking down.

Avni nodded and kept her hair behind her ear. Aditya signed Avni with his hand and they started going. Avni’s throat got dried. Avni rubbed it.

Avni: I can’t walk now. I need water.

Aditya got shocked.

Avni gulped and shook her head.

Aditya looked around for water. Aditya ran to get water from home. Avni was looking at him.

Aarti: come and sit here.

Aarti took Avni to the shadow of the tree and a bench was kept there. Avni and Aarti sat.

Aarti: feeling better.

Avni nodded. Aarti thought.

Aarti: Avni, did you see how much Aditya cares for you.

Avni looked at Aarti.

Avni thought.

Avni got shocked. Aditya came back while running and a bottle was in his hands. Aditya sat beside Avni and opened the cap of the bottle. Aditya made Avni drink water who was looking at him. Avni signed enough. Avni gulped. Aditya cupped Avni’s face.

Aditya: you ok?

Avni nodded and Aarti smiled.

Aditya said calmly: what is this, Avni? You should keep a water bottle with you. You know that you need to be hydrated.

Avni looked down and said sorry. Aarti smiled.

Aditya: it’s ok. Be careful next time.

Avni nodded. Aditya nodded and sighed looking straight. Avni saw Aditya sweating and panting. Avni thought.

Aditya: now come let’s go home.

Aditya helped Avni to stand and they went.

Later, Avni was thinking and she saw the flashes that Aditya ran to her and took the shopping bags from her. He made Avni drink water. Avni thought and thought about Aarti’s words.

Avni thought and remembered Aditya bought clothes for the baby. Avni looked at the cupboard and got up carefully. Avni went to the cupboard and took out the clothes. Avni went to the couch and sat on it. Avni took out the baby clothes from the shopper and smiled to see it.

Avni: see, baby, papa bought these clothes for you. Did you like them? Yes? Mama also liked them.

Avni smiled.

Avni: Let’s see other clothes.

Avni took out many clothes.

Avni: see, papa has bought so many clothes for you.

Avni saw the clothes.

Aditya was sleeping on the couch in the living area. Aditya woke up and said, Avni.

Aditya sat and looked around.

Aditya: Why, I am feeling that Avni needs me.

Aditya heard Avni’s screaming and looked up. Aditya got shocked.

Aditya: Avni.

Aditya took away the duvet and ran from there. Aditya opened Avni’s room door. Aditya was shocked to see Avni who was in immense pain.
