It was the time of the night, the moon was shining in the sky and the loud music was echoing and shaking the ground. People were enjoying their night in the nightclub where Avni was coming with Jiya. Jay and Jimmy were looking at Avni lustfully. They got up and Jiya hugged them and then they moved to Avni. Jay held Avni’s arm.

Jay: oh my God, Avni. You are looking so pretty.

Avni smiled and blushed because the first time, a boy complimented her.
Jay hugged Avni who felt strange and Jay caressed Avni’s back. Avni didn’t feel good and broke the hug and then Jimmy hugged Avni and he also inappropriately touched Avni’s waist. Avni moved back.

Everyone was standing there and they ordered the shot for them.

Jay: one more.

Jiya: you will have two together?

Jay: no, one for Avni.

Avni: no, no, I don’t drink.

Jiya: oh come on, Avni, nothing will happen by having one.

Avni hesitated. Jay gave the glass to Avni,

Jay: have it. Be cool.

Avni was looking at Jay. The word cool always attracts Avni.

Jay: come on, Avni. Avni. Avni.

Jay signed all to say. Her friends cheered up Avni: Avni, Avni, Avni, Avni, Avni, Avni.

Jiya: come on, Avni.

Avni looked at the glass. Avni gulped it closing her eyes and her friends hooted. Avni made a disgusting face. Avni felt dizzy because the first time she drank it. Jiya came to Avni and hugged Avni.

Avni: its taste is so yakh.

Everyone smiled. They had more and made Avni drink one more shot forcefully.

Avni narrated: that day, I broke the rules of our family. I wore a revealing dress and I drank. I got drunk and was not able to walk. Jiya took me to her home because her parents were out of town. She messaged Bua from my phone that I will stay at her home that night. I started with one glass and then two, three, and more and more.

Flashback ends.

Avni was looking at the handy cam.

Avni: After that day, it became a routine. I started going to clubs wearing short dresses.

Avni looked at her palm and rubbed it while saying: I wore off-shoulder, sleeveless, backless dresses shamelessly. Don’t know what happened to me, I stopped seeing anything in front of the shine of that world.

Aditya felt bad to see Avni guilty.

Avni: That life always attracted me and now I was happy being a part of that. I didn’t realize when I moved to drugs and got addicted to it. Jay and Jimmy also became my good friends. They acted so well in front of me that I couldn’t understand their true intentions. They were the mastermind behind my drug addiction. They took advantage of my drunken state and they gave me drugs. Slowly, I got addicted to it.

Aditya and others were shocked.

Flashback:

Avni was sitting on the couch in the club and she was drunk.

Jay and Jimmy came to her and cigarettes were in their hands. Avni saw them.

Avni: What is this?

Jay passed that to Avni and Avni held that. Avni frowned.

Jimmy: look at me and do as I am doing. Ok?

Avni nodded.

Jimmy: first hold it in between these two fingers.

Avni tried to do but she was drunk. Jay helped her. Jimmy taught Avni and Jay helped Avni and took her hand to her lips. Avni inhaled that and coughed.

Jay: it’s ok. It’s ok. Relax.

Jimmy: Cool, girl.

Avni smiled and shouted: yeahhhh… I am a cool girl.

Jay and Jimmy smiled and they sat really close to Avni. Avni looked at them and was not able to open her eyes.

Jay: we are friends and sitting like this is common between friends.

Avni: really?

Jimmy: yes.

Avni: ok.

Avni giggled. Jay showed the cigarette.

Jay: want it?

Avni nodded and they gave her that. They touched Avni inappropriately. They touched Avni's legs and back. Jay held Avni's waist and caressed her ear with his lips. Avni jerked him. Jimmy touched Avni's neck with his hand. Jiya came there so they stopped.

Another night, Avni was sitting with her friends and this time, they taught Avni to have drugs.

Avni and Jiya were not in their senses. Jay and Jimmy smirked and they made Avni and Jiya stand and took them from there outside but they heard the sound of a police jeep and they ran leaving Avni and Jiya there. Other friends came and they saved Avni and Jiya and ran into the car.

Avni was sitting on the couch and guilt was in her eyes.

Avni: one after one, I fell into their trap and now, I started to lie without any hesitation.  No one could catch me. Now, Jimmy and Jay had won my trust completely because they were giving me the things that I wanted. Drugs, cigarettes and alcohol. Now, I started to go to a party in their flat. I thought that I am going to party there, unaware of their plan.

Aditya and others looked at Gaurav who looked at them and then they looked at the handy cam. Avni was thinking.

Flashback:

Avni and her friends were used to partying there. Avni’s aunt never gets doubted because she daily sleeps having the sleeping pills.

One night, Avni and friends were partying in Jimmy and Jay’s flat where Avni saw Jay and Jimmy going to the room and a girl was with them. Avnifrowned.

The next day, Avni was passing by the corridor of the school and she heard laughter. Avni stood near the window and saw Jay and Jimmy. A cell phone was in their hands and they were looking at it.

Jimmy: she is damn hot.

Jay: Just like Avni.

Avni got shocked.

Jimmy: yeah, how cool it would have been that I and Avni were in their place and were doing this.

Avni got shocked and angry too. Avni grinned her teeth.

Jay: Relax, Bro, we will get this chance.

Avni got shocked and she turned. Avni went to the door. Avni  furiously opened the door and stormed into it. Jay and Jimmy got shocked and they got up. Avni came to them and snatched the phone from Jay. Avni saw the video and got shocked to see an intimate scene. Avni widened her eyes and opened her mouth. Jay and Jimmy looked at each other and then they looked at Avni. Avni closed it and glared at Jimmy and Jay and they were shocked.

Jay: Avni. Avni.

Avni looked at them.

Avni: so, this is your true color. I never thought that you two are this much cheap.

Jimmy: Avni, you are misunderstanding us.

Avni: No, now, I understand you…

Jay: listen, Avni.

Avni: yes, I have listened. I heard what you both were saying.

They got shocked.

Avni: And now, I am not going to spare you two, I will show this to the principal sir.

They got shocked. Avni turned and they came on her way.

Jay: please, listen, Avni.

Avni: leave my way.

Jimmy: Avni, I love you.

Avni got shocked.

Avni: what?

Avni slapped Jay who kept his hand on his cheek. Jay and Jimmy got shocked. Jay held Avni’s arms and Jimmy snatched the phone. Jay pushed Avni.

Jay: Avni, I will not forget this slap, you have to pay for it. You have to pay for it.

They went from there and Avni was looking at them.

Avni’s eyes were moist and she sniffed. Aditya felt his heart heavy.

Avni: that day, I realized that in which world, I have kept my step, the reality of that world was now revealed to me but… but now it was too late. I had lost in that. No matter how hard, I would try but I will never get the path of exit. I felt like I have lost in a dark room and there is no door and window to escape. That whole day, I thought about my life and I realized why Grandma put restrictions on us. I cried a lot that day in school because I realized my mistake.

Avni stopped.

Avni: but I think, God had some mercy on me and wanted to make me out of that world that’s why the reality of that world got revealed to me. I came home and I saw my Mama standing there outside. Mama smiled to see me and I felt like I got a ray of hope.

Aditya felt bad.

Avni: I felt like a small kid who got lost and now she got her mother back. I just ran to Mama and hugged her.

Flashback.

Avni was coming home and was sad. Avni looked up and saw her mother outdoors. Avni smiled with teary eyes and Alka smiled to see her. Avni ran to Alka and hugged her. Alka caressed Avni’s hair. Avni cried bitterly and Alka got shocked.

Alka: Avni.

Avni sighed and wiped her tears. Avni sniffed and they broke the hug. Alka cupped Avni’s face.

Alka: what happened, bacha?

Avni smiled and tears rolled from her eyes. Avni wiped her tears.

Avni said while wiping her tears: nothing, I was missing you.

Alka was not satisfied but she thought to talk later.

Alka: crazy girl.

Avni chuckled and hugged Alka. Avni cried suppressing her lips.

Alka: Papa also came.

Avni got surprised and broke the hug.

Avni: really?

Alka nodded cupping Avni’s face. Avni ran inside and Alka smiled but she thought then. Avni came inside and hugged her father. Amar kissed her hair.

Amar: how are you?

Avni broke the hug.

Avni: fantastic and now super happy.

Amar said while wiping Avni’s tears: then why are you crying?

Alka: because she missed us.

Amar smiled and Avni hugged him again. They smiled.

Later, Avni was sleeping on Alka’s lap who was caressing her hair.

Alka: Avni, everything is alright?

Avni got shocked and hesitated.

Avni: ye, yeah, why?

Alka: then what’s the matter? You have lost your weight and look pale.

Avni smiled fakely.

Avni:  This illusion happens to every Mom that her child has become weak.

Avni looked at Alka and they chuckled.

Alka: Shut up.

Avni: I am fine. It is just, just a study pressure. That’s it.

Alka: ok.

Avni: yes, ok now let me sleep. I am very tired.

Alka smiled and said, ok.

Avni closed her eyes and Alka thought while caressing Avni’s hair.

Alka and Amar were standing in their room.

Alka: Amar, didn’t you find Avni lost?

Amar: hmm, I also felt that.

Alka: she wanted to say something to me but she was not able to say.

Amar: maybe, she is bored of living here and wants to come back home but can’t tell us.

Alka: don’t know but I am feeling something is there that is disturbing her.

Amar held Alka’s arms.

Amar: don’t worry, we will talk to her about it.

Alka nodded.

Amar: and I am thinking to take her with her. Her vacation will also start after a few days.

Alka was worried.

Alka: don’t worry, everything will be managed.

Alka nodded and sighed.

Two days passed and Avni didn’t go to school and party also. Avni craved for drugs but she had a packet to fulfill her desire. One night, Avni was enjoying a cigarette in the washroom and she heard a knock on the door. Avni got shocked and she tried to wipe the smoke and came to the room. Avni threw the cigarette out the window and went to the washroom. Alka was knocking on the door.

Alka: Avni.

Avni opened the door of the bathroom.

Avni: Mama, I am having a bath.

Alka frowned and talked to herself: Bath? At this time?

Alka: Avni, are you ok?

Avni opened the door and the towel was wrapped around her head and she was wearing a night dress. Alka looked at Avni.

Alka: why do you have a bath at this time?

Avni got shocked.

Avni: who, Mama, I was feeling nausea so, I thought to have a bath.

Alka: nausea?

Alka checked Avni’s forehead.

Alka: why? You don’t have a fever also.

Avni: maybe, I overeat at lunch?

Alka: overeat? You didn’t even finish your plate.

Avni: because it was overloaded.

Alka made a face.

Avni: my head is spinning. I want to sleep.

Alka: ok, come, I will press your head and you will feel better.

Avni smiled and she gave way to Alka. Avni sighed. Avni had sprayed the room spray.

Later, Alka came to check on Avni and Avni was sleeping. Alka went and closed the door. Avni opened her eyes and thought. Avni sat on the bed and thought. Avni looked at the door and then took out a packet from the cupboard and looked at it.

Avni: I know, it is wrong but I can’t stay away from it. I just can’t.

Avni did her work and like this, Avni craved and fulfilled her desire in her room at night time. Avni also started to go to school but she started to ignore Jimmy and Jay.

One day, Avni was passing by the corridor and going to her class. Jimmy and Jay came on Avni's way. Avni glared at them.

Avni: leave my way.

Jay: Avni, please, listen to us.

Jimmy: Avni, we are sorry for our deed. Please, forgive us.

Avni: stop this acting. People like you can never get change.

Jay: Really, Avni, we have got our lesson. You know, principal sir caught us that day.

Avni got shocked.

Jimmy: He complained to our parents.

Avni was shockingly looking at them.

Jay: our parents are not talking to us. They are very angry with us.

Avni thought.

Jay: we have got our lesson.

Jimmy: Avni, we have changed. You also realized your mistake and are not coming to party with us. We also have realized our mistake.

Avni was looking at them.

Jay: we have done a sin, not a mistake. I can understand why will you believe us. We cheated you so it is completely understandable. But if possible then please forgive us.

Jimmy: Tomorrow is my birthday so I have organized a party in our flat. If you come then we will think that you have forgiven us.

Avni looked at them for a few seconds and then she went from there without saying anything. Jay and Jimmy looked at each other and smirked. They di Hi-Fi.

It was a time of the day, Avni was laying on the bed in her room and her head was on her mother’s lap. Alka was caressing Avni’s hair and Avni was thinking something.

Avni: Mama?

Alka: hmm?

Avni: if someone do a mistake and realizes it later then what should we  do? We should forgive that person?

Alka: everyone deserves a second chance and if someone has realized his or her mistake then we should forgive them. Why, what happened?

Avni shook her head.

Avni: nothing. I had a fight with my friend and now she has realized her mistake. That’s why, I asked.

Alka: oh so it is the matter. That’s why, you were upset that day.

Avni smiled.

Alka: crazy girl.

They smiled and Avni thought.

Avni: but how do we know that person is guilty of its deed?

Alka: you can see that in the eyes. The person who is guilty will not be able to match eyes with you.

Avni: Really?

Alka: yes.

Avni thought.

Avni narrated: I was in a dilemma about what should I do. Should I forgive them? The whole day, I thought about that.

At the time of night, Alka entered Avni’s room carrying her clothes. Avni was not in the room and Alka heard the sound from the bathroom. She smiled and went to the cupboard. Alka kept the clothes there and closed the cupboard. Alka frowned and she opened the cupboard. Alka saw something and took out it. Alka got shocked.

Alka: cigarette?

Alka looked at the clothes and took the clothes up and saw white powder. Alka was confused.

Alka and Amar were standing in their room and the cigarette and packet were in Amar’s hand.

Amar: it is drugs.

Alka got shocked and kept her hand on her mouth.

Alka whispered: Amar.

Amar looked at Alka.

Alka: Where has our daughter got trapped?

Amar thought.

Alka: what do we do now?

Amar looked at Alka and thought.

Alka: what are you thinking? Do something. We should ask Avni about it.

Alka held Amar’s hand: come.

Amar: Alka, Alka, relax. It is not the right time to talk to her.

Alka: what do you mean by…

Amar signed Relax.

Amar: we have to resolve this matter calmly. Haste can make the matter worse.

Alka: but we can't sit keeping hands on hand.

Amar: no, we will not sit keeping hands on hand. We will do something. We have to resolve this matter calmly. If we confront her now then Avni will panic and she can take a weak step, a wrong step. We should keep our calm.

Alka: what do we do?

Amar: for now, go and keep these things back at their place.

Alka got shocked.

Alka: what? Amar…

Amar: I know, what I am saying… do as I said?

Alka was looking at Amar.

Amar: try to understand, Alka, if Avni will not get these things there then she will panic and she can harm herself.

Alka got shocked.

Amar: and do one thing, you sleep in her room for tonight till then I think, we should we have to do?

Alka nodded and Amar captured her in his arms.

Amar: don’t worry, we will find some way.

Alka cried. Amar gave the things to Alka who went and Amar thought.

Alka did as Amar said and she shut the cupboard. Avni came into the room and she was surprised to see her mother.

Avni: Mama?

Alka got shocked and turned to Avni. Avni came to her. Avni looked at the cupboard and then she looked at her mother.

Avni: what happened? What are you doing here?

Alka got shocked.
Alka: woh, woh, I came to keep your clothes in the cupboard.

Avni: oh.

Alka: yeah.

Alka wiped her sweat and Avni frowned.

Avni: are you ok?

Alka: yeah…

Alka smiled.

Alka: tonight, I will sleep in your room.

Avni got shocked.

Avni: wh, why?

Alka: why? What do you mean by why? Can’t I sleep in your room?

Avni: n, no, mama, I, I didn’t mean that. I just asked.

Alka: Actually, I slept in the evening so now I am not sleepy. If I stayed in your papa’s and mine room then his sleep got disturbed so that’s why, I will sleep here.

Avni: oh.

Alka: yes.

Avni thought and Alka looked at her.

On the other side, Amar talked with Gaurav and Gaurav asked him that he is coming.

Later: Avni and Alka were awake and were acting of sleeping. Avni opened her eyes and sat. Alka felt that and kept her hand on Avni. Avni got shocked and looked at Alka. Avni sighed to see Alka’s closed eyes. Avni thought and lay back.
Avni craved and she kept her hand under her pillow and took out a packet from the cover. Avni slowly took away the hands and went to the washroom. Alka looked there. Avni did her work and came back. Alka closed her eyes and Avni came back and Avni slept after that. Alka looked at Avni with teary eyes.

The next day, Avni was having lunch with her family. Avni thought.

Avni: Mama, Papa, tonight is my friend’s birthday party. Can I go?

Alka looked at Amar who nodded. Amar looked at Avni.

Amar: you can go, princess.

Avni smiled and Alka got shocked. Avni went to Amar and hugged him standing beside the car.

Avni: Thank you, Papa. I love you.

Amar: you’re welcome. You can go but after giving us the address of your’s friend's home.

Avni got shocked.

Amar: send me her number and her home address on my cell phone.

Avni got irritated.

Avni: But why?

Amar: understand, princess, it is for your safety.

Avni: ok. My phone is in my room. I am sending you the address.

Amar: ok.

Alka: have your lunch first.

Avni: I am done.

Avni went and Alka and Amar were looking at her and then they looked at each other.

Alka: what is in your mind?

Amar stopped her with her hand and resumed his lunch. Alka got offended.

It was the time of the night, Avni went to her friend’s home because Jiya and her family were out of town. Avni went out in a decent dress but then she went to her friend’s home and they got ready there and then they went to the party.

Avni narrated: I lied to Mama and Papa and maybe, I got the punishment of that.

A car drove at high speed.

Amar came to Jiya’s home and saw it is locked. Amar got shocked and he dialled Jiya’s number but it was unreachable. Amar got shocked. Amar got worried and he dialed Avni’s number but she didn’t receive the call. Amar came back home.

Alka: what happened?

Amar: that home is locked.

Alka got shocked.

Alka: then where did Avni go?

Amar was looking at her.

On the other side, Avni reached the party. Jay and Jimmy smiled to see her and looked at her with lustful eyes. They came to Avni.

Jimmy: thank you so much, Avni. Thanks for coming.

Avni smiled and they moved forward.

In Avni’s home, Amar was standing near the glass wall and talking on the phone.

Amar: I am not understanding what do I do? My mind has stopped working.

Gaurav was sitting in the backseat of the car.

Gaurav: don’t worry, I am on the way to your home and I have talked to the commissioner soon, we will get Avni’s location. Did, Aman reach?

Amar: yes, he is with Alka. Alka is crying since then.

Gaurav: I am also on the way. I will reach in ten minutes.

Aman was sitting on the armrest of the couch by the side-hugging Alka. He was consoling Alka.

Alka: I told him, I told him to not send Avni here but he… see, what happened now.

Avni’s aunt was also sitting there. She bowed her head.

On the other side, Avni enjoyed the party. She got drunk and then she went dancing there. Avni went to get fresh. Jay and Jimmy smirked.

Jay and Jimmy stopped the music and everyone looked at him.

Jay: Guys, the neighbors are complaining so we have to stop the party here. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Everyone got disappointed.

Jimmy: sorry.

Everyone went from there and they smirked looking at each other.
