It was daytime, Avni and Aditya went to visit the local market of Maldives. They were walking there holding the hand of each other. Aditya showed the things to Avni who also did the same. Aditya didn’t forget to click pictures, especially Avni’s pictures. Avni saw the stalls and shops and they did shopping from them and Aditya was the one who started shopping by going to the stall and showing the things like jewelry and bags to Avni. They did the shopping and then they roamed there. Aditya’s phone rang so they stopped.

Aditya: one minute.

Avni nodded. Aditya took out his phone and received the call without leaving Avni’s hand. Aditya talked on the phone and Avni saw a shop of bags. Avni thought and looked at Aditya. Avni tried to gather Aditya’s attention without making any voice. Avni tried to free her hand and Aditya looked at her. Aditya signed what happened and Avni pointed at the shop. Aditya looked at that side but the person who was on the phone called him so Aditya turned and left Avni’s hand. Avni smiled and went to the shop.

Aditya cut the call and turned. Aditya was shocked to see Avni missing.

Aditya: Avni.

Aditya looked around.

Aditya: Avni. Avni.

Avni bought a bag there and when she came out. She saw a crowd of people is present there because two groups of people fought. Avni got shocked.

On the other side, Aditya went to find Avni.

Avni wanted to go to Aditya. She passed by the side with difficulty and went to the place where she had left Aditya but her bad luck, Aditya was not there. Avni was shocked.

Avni: Aditya.

Avni looked around.

Avni: where did he go? He was here only. Aditya.

Avni looked around. On the other side, Aditya was looking for Avni. Avni took out her phone from her bag but today her luck was not with her. Avni’s phone was switched off. Avni got shocked and worried.

Avni: oh no. How did my phone switched off?

Avni tried to switch it on but was of no use.

Avni: tch. Now how will I contact Aditya?

Avni got worried.

Aditya took out his phone and tried Avni’s number but it was switched off. Aditya took away the phone from his ear.

Aditya: tch, why her number is switched off? Where did she go? I told Avni to stay with me but she… where I find her.

Aditya looked around and went to find Avni. Aditya ran his hand through his hair. Avni and Aditya were looking for each other and were worried. Aditya saw Avni who was standing back facing him. Aditya smiled and went to Avni. Aditya turned her to him and got a shock because that was not Avni.

Aditya: I am sorry. I misunderstood you as my wife.

The lady said it's ok and went. Aditya looked around and thought to go to the place where they were standing. Aditya and Avni were looking for each other and their faces were on the other side. Their eyes were teary. Their back collided and they turned. They were surprised to see each other.

Aditya: Avni.

Avni: Aditya.

They hugged each other and Avni cried. Aditya’s suppressed his lips and was crying also. Avni hugged Aditya tightly as if she left him then he will vanish. Avni’s eyes were closed.

Avni: where had you gone? I got so worried.

Aditya realized that Avni had gone first. Aditya held Avni’s shoulders and broke the hug.

Aditya: where had you gone, han? I told you to stay with me and not go anywhere without me then where had you gone and why did you go?

Avni sobbed and her nose was red. She was worried and now Aditya scolded her.

Aditya: and why your phone is switched off?

Avni: its battery got dead.

Aditya: can’t you charge your phone?

Avni looked at Aditya innocently.

Avni: I forgot to charge it.

Aditya looked at Avni angrily who was looking at him. Avni squeezed her nose.

Avni: and I told you that I am going to that shop.

Aditya remembered that she pointed at the shop. Avni sobbed.

Aditya: Ab, I, I am sorry. I didn’t understand.

Avni cried and with her tears.

Avni: so that was your fault that you didn’t understand but I had told you now if you didn’t understand what was my mistake in it.

Aditya felt bad and found Avni cute. Avni rubbed her nose with the back of her hand and sniffed. Aditya smiled but then he felt guilty to hear Avni’s sob. Aditya cupped Avni’s face.

Aditya: I am sorry, I got so worried when I didn’t find you near me and I shouted at you. I am sorry Please forgive me.

Avni sobbed and Aditya hugged her keeping her hand on his chest. Avni also hugged him and clenched his shirt. Avni’s eyes were closed.

Avni: I got so worried when I came to the place where you were standing and I didn’t get you there.

Aditya smiled.

Aditya: me too.

Avni: and you know, when I came out of the shop, people were fighting.

Aditya frowned.

Aditya: really?

Avni nodded.

Avni: yes. I just want to come to you as soon as possible. My heart was beating so fast and when I came, you were not here.

Aditya: I am sorry, I went to look for you.

Avni broke the hug and Aditya looked at Avni.

Avni complained like a kid: you should stay there na, you should understand that I will come here.

Aditya smiled and Avni made a cute face. Aditya held his ear.

Aditya: sorry. Actually, I panicked so I didn’t understand anything and went to find you. Sorry.

Avni took away his hands and shook her head. Avni hugged Aditya who smiled. Avni closed her eyes.

Aditya smiled.

Avni: my phone was also switched off. Its battery was dead.

Aditya: now whose mistake it was?

Avni remained silent and smiled. Aditya felt that.

Avni smiled and her eyes were closed. Avni hit Aditya’s chest who was surprised. Aditya chuckled and looked at Avni and he smiled.

Aditya: It’s ok but be careful next time. Hmm?

Avni nodded and she realized that she is hugging Aditya. Avni broke the hug and Aditya left her. Avni felt shy and kept her hair behind her ear. Aditya smiled.

Avni: let, let’s go.

Aditya nodded and Avni turned. Avni was going and Aditya walked behind her. Avni was feeling shy and Aditya was smiling.

Avni and Aditya were laying on the bed and their faces were in the opposite direction. They were having an afternoon nap but the truth was that they were awake with wide eyes. The incident was still roaming in their mind. Aditya turned his head to see Avni and faced her back. Aditya thought that Avni is sleeping so he turned his face. Avni also did the same and thought Aditya is sleeping.

Aditya in mind: today, I got so scared. My heart had stopped beating when I didn’t find you beside me. I felt like someone has pulled the earth from under my feet. I started to find you and was roaming on the streets like mad. My eyes only wanted to see you. I had no idea where I am going, I was just going where my legs were taking me. I had never felt this fear in my whole life. Never. And when I found you, I felt like I have found my world back. I have gotten my breath back. At that moment, I just wanted to cage you in my arms and would not free you ever.

Aditya smiled. Avni was also thinking about that incident.

Avni in mind: when I came out of the shop, I was happy that I have bought two similar bags for me and Bhabhi but then I heard the screaming and looked up, I got so frightened to see people arguing and fighting. I just wanted to reach you as soon as possible. I thought, you will come there so I started to look for you but you were not there so I thought to come to you. Only I and my God knows, how I passed from there but when I reached the place where I had left you, I saw you are not there. Again fear engulfed me and I started to look for you here and there. I even tried to call you but my bad luck, my phone’s battery was dead. My heartbeat started to increase with each passing second. I started to search for you. I was on the verge of crying, even though I have started crying. I just wanted to see you, only you and when I saw you, I felt like I have got my life back. I didn’t think anything and just hugged you. I felt a peace and got relieved after hugging you.

Avni realized something.

Avni in mind: Oh no, I behaved like, like a five years old kid. What Aditya was thinking about me?

Avni thought.

Avni in mind: but I felt peace and comfortable when I hugged you. I felt as my life depends on you. Why? I could reach the villa by myself then why I behaved like that? Why?

Avni thought but still, that incident was disturbing her. There were many questions in her mind and fear was in her heart. Aditya moved and Avni felt that so she turned her face and saw Aditya adjusting his head on the pillow because he was also awake. Avni turned her face and thought.

Avni: Aditya?

Aditya heard Avni. Their faces were on the other side.

Aditya: you are awake?

Avni: hmm.

Aditya: what happened? Today’s incident is not letting you sleep? You are awake because of that?

Avni: hmm and you?

Aditya: yes, I am also thinking about that. Still, that is roaming in my mind.

Avni nodded.

Avni: in my mind too. I am still feeling my heart heavy.

Aditya turned his face and tried to turn to Avni. Avni felt that and turned her face. Avni laid on her back.

Aditya: Avni, don’t take this much stress. It's ok, everything is ok now.

Avni smiled and turned to Aditya.

Avni: hmm. But don’t know, why I am not able to come out of that.

Aditya kept Avni’s hair behind her ear and Avni felt a shiver in her body. Aditya felt Avni shiver so he looked at Avni who looked down.

Aditya: it’s ok. Sleep for some time, you will feel better then we have to go somewhere.

Avni: where?

Aditya: that’s a surprise.

Avni smiled.

Avni: you and your surprises. How many more surprises will you give me on the same trip?

Aditya: that is also a surprise.

Avni looked at Aditya surprisingly.

Avni: han?

Aditya chuckled and Avni smiled while shaking her head.

Aditya: ok now have some rest. Close your eyes and give some rest to your brain.

Avni smiled and thought. Again that incident came to her mind. Avni looked at Aditya who closed his eyes.

Aditya opened his eyes.

Avni hesitated and Aditya noticed that.

Aditya: what happened?

Avni looked at him and looked down.

Avni: I, I am still, still scared. Ca, can I ho, hold…

Avni looked at Aditya.

Avni: can I hold your hand?

Aditya made a face.

Aditya: is this a question to ask?

Avni was looking at Aditya.

Aditya: of course, you can hold my hand.

They were looking at each other.

Aditya: you are my wife, you have a right on me.

Avni looked down. Aditya’s hand was under his head so he kept it on the pillow. If Aditya wants then he could hold Avni’s hand but he wants Avni to hold his hand.

Avni smiled to see Aditya’s hand but she was feeling shy. Slowly, Avni kept her hand on Aditya’s hand and held it. Aditya smiled and Avni smiled to see him and then she blushed. Aditya smiled because he thought that Avni had no idea that he is used to holding Avni’s hand and kissing it when she sleeps and now she is blushing. Aditya smiled and shook his head.

Aditya moved to Avni slightly and hugged Avni’s hand near his heart. Avni saw that and blushed. Avni was feeling protected with Aditya and was relieved that Aditya is with her. Aditya smiled to see Avni.
