The moon was shining in the sky over the Rathore mansion which was lit by fairy light. Inside the mansion, a door opened and Aditya entered the room. Aditya saw the room and he got nervous and felt awkward to see the decorations. Aditya thought and he closed the door.

Avni heard that the door has closed and she shivered. Aditya turned and he saw Avni sitting on the bed. Aditya smiled and he looked at the room. Aditya sighed and came forward while rubbing his hands. Avni felt Aditya is coming close and Avni started to shiver. She clenched her fist to hide her nervousness. Aditya saw Avni and then he remembered something. Aditya went to the cupboard and Avni saw that Aditya passed by the bed. Aditya came back with a jewelry box and he sat on the bed. Avni slides back slightly. Aditya felt that. Aditya looked down and sighed. Aditya looked at Avni.

Aditya took off the veil and his heart skipped a beat to see Avni's face. Avni's face was glowing in the light of the candle and she was looking breath-taking. Aditya lifted Avni's face holding her chin. Avni clenched her fist.

Only one word came from Aditya's mouth: beautiful.

Avni didn't dare to look up. Aditya looked at Avni's hand and he felt awkward but he knew that now he has to wipe this awkwardness between them. Aditya held Avni's hand who shivered. Aditya felt Avni's hands are cold and he looked at Avni. Aditya took Avni's hand up and Avni saw that. Aditya kissed Avni's hand while looking at her and a shiver spread in Avni's body. Aditya felt that and he thought it is because he kissed Avni's hand for the first time. Aditya held Avni's hand in between his both hands. Avni looked at the hands and then she looked at Aditya. Avni saw the brooch on Aditya's outfit which she gifted to him. Aditya looked at Avni who lowered her gaze.

Aditya: Avni, we are married now and tonight is our first night.

Avni's heartbeat increased.

Aditya: but you just don't worry, I will not do anything without your consent.

Avni looked at Aditya.

Aditya: I know, this marriage and all have happened in a hurry and then I went for business work for one month. The time, we should have given each other, was wasted so, it is obvious that awkwardness will be between us. We can take steps slowly. If you need time and you are not ready for consummation then I can wait for you.

Avni looked down.

Aditya: we have just started our new life so we can take steps slowly.

Aditya's phone rang and Avni stopped.

Aditya took out his phone and saw the caller id. Aditya was stunned to see the caller Id.

Aditya: ab, aa. Avni, just two minutes.

Avni nodded and Aditya smiled.

Aditya got up and went but before that, he switched on the light. Avni saw that and Aditya went. Avni was relieved so she sighed happily.

Avni: thank God, Aditya understood me. Avni, you were taking stress unnecessarily.

Avni smiled.

Avni: Aditya is so understanding and supportive. I am lucky that I have Aditya as my husband.

Avni blushed.

Soon, Aditya came back and he saw that Avni is smiling looking at her ring. Aditya smiled and came to Avni who saw him. They smiled.

Aditya smiled.

Aditya: Avni, your dress is heavy, you must be feeling uncomfortable in it. First, you change it then we will talk.

Avni smiled and nodded. Avni moved on the bed and held her lehenga. Avni kept her legs down and Aditya saw that Avni is finding difficulty in getting up so he forwarded his hand. Avni looked at Aditya's hand and then she looked at Aditya. Aditya signed Avni to hold his hand. Avni happily held Aditya's hand who smiled. Avni got up and took a deep breath.

Aditya: I don't understand one thing why do you women wear such heavy dresses that you can't even carry?

Avni smiled.

Aditya: I am sure your dress will weigh more than you.

Avni was surprised to hear that and she was looking at Aditya who was looking at her. They looked at each other for a few seconds and then they chuckled. Avni shook her head.

Aditya: seriously.

Avni was smiling.

Avni: I know, this dress is heavy but it's weight is not more than mine. Even it is not half of that.

Aditya: I can't believe it.

Avni: Really?

Aditya smiled.

Aditya: ok, if you are saying then I am believing it.

They smiled.

Avni: I.

Avni signed at the dressing table and Aditya looked there and understood her sign. Aditya nodded looking at Avni.

Avni smiled and went to the dressing table. Aditya was looking at her. Avni took off her chunri and Aditya can see her back. Aditya got shocked and attracted to Avni who put off her headpiece. Aditya clenched his fist and looked away. Aditya tried hard to look here and there. Avni was trying to put off her necklace but it stuck. Avni tried and grinned. Aditya tried a lot to not look at Avni but he lost and looked at Avni who was trying to remove her necklace.

Aditya thought and moved to Avni. Avni saw Aditya in the mirror who stood at one hand distance from her.

Aditya: Ab, may I?

Avni was surprised and felt odd. Avni nodded. Aditya stepped to Avni and held the necklace's string. Their hands touched and they felt something in their heart. Avni took her hands back. Aditya's hands touched Avni's neck and Avni shivered. Aditya felt that and he looked in the mirror. Avni's eyes were closed. Aditya smiled and Avni clenched her dress. Soon, Aditya's smile faded and he looked at Avni. Aditya touched Avni's neck and got shocked. Avni was clenching her fist.

Aditya: Avni.

Avni flinched and looked at Aditya who looked shocked and worried. Aditya checked Avni's forehead. Avni frowned.

Aditya: Avni, you have a very high fever.

Avni was shocked. Aditya looked at Avni. Aditya held Avni's arms.

Aditya: come, sit.

Aditya was taking Avni to bed.

Avni: Aditya. I am fine.

Aditya took Avni to bed and made her sit. Aditya went to the shelves and took a first aid box. Avni was looking at him.

Aditya asked while searching for the medicine: did you have dinner?

Avni: yes.

Aditya took the medicine and he came to Avni. Aditya poured water into the glass and gave medicine and water to Avni. Avni gulped the medicine and Aditya sat on the bed. Avni was sitting holding the glass in her hand. Aditya forwarded his hand to take the glass and Avni looked at his hand. Avni looked at Aditya who took the glass from her. Avni looked down.

Aditya: what is this, Avni? You have a fever and you didn't tell me. You should have told me.

Avni: I am fine, Aditya. It must be because of tiredness.

Aditya: You don't care about yourself at all.

Avni smiled and looked down. Aditya thought something.

Aditya: Avni?

Avni looked at Aditya who hesitated to ask.

Aditya: you have a fever because of fatigue or it is because of stress?

Avni frowned. Aditya looked down.

Aditya: I mean, did, did you take the stress of tonight?

Avni was surprised and Aditya looked at Avni. Avni shook her head.

Avni: no, it is because of fatigue. Nothing else.

Avni nodded. She doesn't want to hurt Aditya but the truth was she was nervous and worried. Aditya nodded.

Avni nodded. Avni got up and went to the dressing table. Aditya got up and was looking at Avni. Aditya kept the glass on the side table and he went to Avni who was removing her rings. Aditya held Avni's necklace's string and Avni shivered. Aditya tried to open the knot and he opened it. His hands touched Avni's back who shivered and Aditya also felt something in his heart. Aditya removed the necklace and kept it on the table. Aditya saw Avni's gaze is down. Aditya stood properly and he lost from his heart. Aditya held Avni's earrings. Avni clenched her dress more tightly and closed her eyes. Aditya removed her earrings looking at her and earrings. Aditya kept the earrings on the table and looked at Avni. Avni heard the sound. Avni opened her eyes and saw the earrings on the table. Avni avoided eye contact. Aditya looked at Avni's hair and removed the hair garland. Avni again closed her eyes and clenched her dress. Aditya looked at Avni from behind. Aditya took out the hairpins and opened Avni's hair. Aditya looked at Avni from behind and then he looked at the mirror. Aditya lost to see Avni who was looking breathtaking.

Aditya looked down and cleared his throat. Avni opened her eyes and looked at the mirror. Avni saw Aditya looking down and avoiding looking at her. Avni thought and turned to Aditya.

Avni: Thank you.

Aditya looked at Avni and smiled.

Aditya said while pinching Avni's cheek: anything for you, my cute wife.

They smiled.

Aditya: now go and change then have some rest.

Avni nodded. Aditya remembered something.

Aditya: ab, your clothes are in the cupboard.

Avni nodded and said ok. Avni went to the cupboard and Aditya was looking at her. Avni went to change. Aditya thought and blushed thinking about their moment. Aditya sighed happily.

Soon, Avni came back and Aditya was sitting on the bed. Avni looked down and Aditya got up looking at Avni. Avni was in a night dress and was wearing red bangles. Avni's hair was open and Sindoor was in her hairline. Aditya felt like time stopped for him. Avni felt odd so she kept her hair behind her ear. Aditya stared at Avni. Aditya looked down and pinched his eyes.

Aditya: ab, do you need something?

Avni shook her head.

Aditya: ok. I am coming.

Aditya signed at the bathroom and Avni looked there Aditya moved to the cupboard and passed by Avni.

Soon, Aditya came back and saw Avni is standing. Aditya came to Avni.

Aditya: what happened? Why are you standing?

Avni lowered her gaze in awkwardness.

Aditya thought and looked at the bed and then he looked down. Aditya understood so he looked at Avni and then again he lowered his gaze. Aditya held Avni's hand who looked at the hands. Aditya held Avni's hand in his both hands. Avni looked at Aditya.

Aditya: Avni, I know, it is a little bit awkward and we will hesitate but we have to take steps to end this hesitation.

Avni looked down.

Aditya: It will take time but it will happen when we take some steps.

Aditya paused for some time.

Aditya: ab, you sleep on the bed. I will sleep on the couch.

Avni looked at Aditya who smiled.

Aditya: good night.

Avni was just looking at Aditya who avoided eye contact to hide his pain. Aditya turned and Avni held his hand. Aditya looked at their hands and then he looked at Avni. Aditya turned to Avni.

Avni: why will you sleep on the couch?

Aditya was speechless.

Avni: this is our room and everything that is here is ours so why will you sleep on the bed.

Aditya: Avni...

Aditya stopped.

Avni: when I said that I have a problem sharing the bed with you?

Aditya looked down.

Avni: I admit that I am feeling odd and a little bit uncomfortable because everything here is new for me. But, it doesn't mean that you start to do sacrifices.

Aditya smiled looking down.

Avni: You don't have to spoil me so much that you will regret that tomorrow.

Aditya chuckled and Avni smiled. They looked at each other.

Avni: I don't have any problem. You said right, things will make normal when we will take some steps. This hesitation will go when we will get used to it. It is just the beginning.

Aditya nodded.

Aditya: right.

They smiled.

Aditya: I will try to be within my limits.

Avni: I trust you.

They smiled.

Aditya: come.

Avni nodded and they moved to the bed. Aditya saw the jewelry box and remembered something. Aditya took the jewelry box and opened it.

Aditya: Avni, this is your wedding gift. Sorry, I forgot to give you.

Avni smiled and took the box from Aditya looking at the jewelry.

Avni: it's beautiful. Thank you.

Aditya smiled and Avni looked at him smiling.

Soon, they sat on the bed and turned their faces to the other sides. Avni was feeling odd and Aditya was giving her time. Aditya turned his face and smiled to see Avni. Aditya turned again to the other side.

Aditya: good night.

Avni saw Aditya from her shoulder and smiled. Avni turned her face back.

They smiled and thought about each other and their new life.
