It was the time of evening, the sun was all set to go for a rest. The birds were moving to their destination and were chirping.

In the Rathore mansion, both families were standing inside the premises of the mansion. Avni and Aditya were looking worried.

Ambika: array, why you all are standing here. Come, let’s go inside.

Everyone smiled fakely.

Gaurav: yes, come. Come.

All nodded and they moved toward the mansion. Avni and Aditya saw each other and they smiled. Aditya signed Avni to come with his hand. Avni smiled. All came inside and Avni saw the Rathore mansion. Aditya looked at Avni and smiled. Aditya came to Avni. Avni saw him.

Aditya: welcome to your home, Avni.

Avni smiled and all moved to the living area. They sat on the couch. All got busy in their chit-chat. Aditya was talking with Arjun and Avni was sitting silently. Aditya stole a gaze on Avni and Avni also looked at him and looked down. Ambika noticed Aditya.

Ambika: Aa, Avni.

Everyone looked at Ambika.

Ambika: see, I am a straightforward person so I will directly come to the point. For my Aditya, I want a very good girl who can walk shoulder to shoulder with him, can stand with him in every situation, and will never leave his side at any cost... That’s why I want to take your test.

Aditya and the others were shocked.

Avni: I am ready for any test, Grandma, I will try my best to cope with your expectations.

Aditya felt proud of Avni and Arjun smiled. Everyone smiled. Aditya and Arjun looked at each other.

Ambika: I like your confidence, Avni. Ok, then your first test is, go to the kitchen and cook dinner for everyone that too in just an hour.

Everyone got shocked especially Avni and Aditya.

Anjana:  but, Maa, how can she prepare dinner in just one hour? She doesn’t even know which thing is kept where. 

Ambika: did I ask you to talk in between?

Anjana was surprised and she felt humiliated. Avni and the others felt that and Avni felt bad for Anjana.

Aditya want to say something but Avni shook her head. Aditya was surprised and he again wanted to talk but how he talks with Avni in front of his grandmother. Avni signed to him relax and blinked her eyes.

Avni: Ok, Grandma ji, I am ready.

Everyone got shocked but the Rathore family got worried also.

Aditya in mind: what did you do, Avni, how will you prepare dinner in just one hour?

Aditya thinks.

Aditya in mind: Do one thing, Adi, order food from the restaurant... No, Adi, Avni will never take that food.

Avni: ab, where is the kitchen?

Arjun: come, Bhabhi, let me show you the kitchen.

Avni nodded. Arjun also signed Aditya to come who nodded. Avni and Arjun go.

Aditya: aa, ab, you guys continue your chit-chat, I have to make an important phone call.

Ambika: yes, go and talk.

Aditya nodded and he got up. Aditya went and the others continued their conversations.

On the other side, Avni and Arjun were standing in the kitchen and Avni kept a cooker on the stove. Aditya came there and Avni and Arjun saw him.

Aditya: Avni, what did you do? Cooking food in an hour is impossible.

Avni: how said this? A meal can be cooked comfortably in an hour.

Aditya: how?

Avni: do you trust me?

Aditya: yes, I trust you but…

Avni: if you trust me then no question of "but" arises.

Aditya was looking at Avni.

Avni: now you sit quietly and let me do my work.

Aditya and Arjun smiled.

Aditya: ok but I will help you.

Avni looked at Aditya surprisingly.

Avni: aap ko khana banana aata hai?

Arjun: inhe sirf banana khana aata hai khana banana nahi.

Avni looked at Aditya and she suppressed her lips to hide her smile. Aditya glared at Arjun.

Aditya: you keep quiet. Yes, Avni, I know cooking. When I went abroad for my MBA then I learned cooking there also. 

Avni nodded while pouring water into the cooker.

Arjun: but he has not cooked anything till today at home so don’t trust his cooking skills.

Aditya glared at Arjun who kept his finger on his lips and Avni smiled. Avni added rice to the pan.

Avni: it's ok, I will manage.

Aditya: When we have decided to spend our whole life together so, it is my duty to support you in every test of life and you cannot stop me.

Avni felt blessed and lucky to have Aditya in her life. They smiled.

Arjun: I am also with you. Today, brother-in-law and sister-in-law and yes, my bro also. We trio will prepare dinner together. Oh no, fifteen minutes passed in our talks.

Avni: and the rice is done.

Aditya and Arjun were shocked.

Aditya and Arjun: what?

Avni: yes, white rice.

They smiled.

Aditya: I am impressed.

Avni smiled.

Arjun: you are already impressed by her. Bhabhi has to impress Grandma.

Avni felt odd and Aditya glared at Arjun and then he looked at Avni who was trying to avoid their conversation by looking at the vegetables. Aditya smiled.

Aditya: I am sure that Avni will impress Grandma also.

Avni and Aditya smiled and then Avni kept her hand on her waist.

Avni: you both came here to help me or to talk.

Aditya: yes, say, what we have to do.

Arjun nodded. Avni smiled.

Avni: just tell me what kind of food Grandma likes to eat.

Aditya: Grandma has a problem of high blood pressure, so she needs less salt in her food and she doesn't like too much oily food.

Avni smiled.

Avni: ok thank you.

Arjun: what is this, Bhabhi? Who says thank you for this small thing.

They smiled.

The grandmother was watching them from a distance and she smiled to see the cute bond between the trio.

Ambika: something is in Avni. Else, my Adi was used to running away from the name of girls and today he has reached to the kitchen to help Avni.

The grandmother nodded. She went from there.

In the kitchen, Avni was preparing dinner and Aditya and Arjun were helping her. It is impossible to cook so many dishes so Avni prepared simple food like pulse, roti, paneer, and white rice.

Everyone was sitting in the dining area and Avni, Aditya, and Arjun were standing there. Ambika saw the dishes and everyone's eyes were on her. Avni and Aditya got worried actually everyone was tense.

Ambika had the dishes on her plate. Ambika saw that everyone is looking at her

Ambika: why you all are looking at me like this? Start the dinner. Adi, Avni, Arjun, you also sit.

They nodded but they didn’t move from their place.

Ambika taste the food and everyone was waiting for her reaction. Avni was looking at Ambika and Aditya was tenser than avni.

Ambika: hmm, the food is good.

Avni, Aditya, and others smiled.

Ambika: But...

Avni and Aditya's smiles faded.

Ambika: it is a portion of simple food. You could make only one dish, but you should have made something good.

Aditya looked at Avni and Arjun looked at Aditya. Alka and others looked at Avni.

Avni: Sorry, Grandma Ji, I could make something good but Aditya told me that you have a high BP problem that's why, I cooked this food.

Aditya and Arjun palmed her head and Anjana closed her eyes.

Aditya in mind: Avniii… what did you do? What was the need of saying this?

Ambika looked at Aditya and Aditya looked down.

Ambika: Adi, you went into the kitchen. But why? And what were you doing there?

Avni looked at Aditya who was looking down and Avni felt bad and guilty.

Aditya: it means you went to help Avni. Do you know, what it means. It means Avni failed the test.

Everyone got shocked. Aditya looked at Ambika shockingly and Avni bowed her head. Aditya looked at Avni and felt sad.

Aditya: Grandma, please don’t do this. It’s not Avni’s fault. Even she was not ready to take our help but I and Arjun insisted a lot that’s why, she let us help her but Avni cooked everything we were just guiding her which thing is kept where. That’s it.

Arjun nodded.

Aditya: you can ask Arjun also.

Arjun looked at Ambika who also looked at him and everyone was looking at them. Arjun avoided eye contact.

Ambika: Arjun, you also went there?

Arjun: Grandma, woh.

Avni: Sorry to interrupt you, Grandma.

Ambika and others looked at Avni.

Avni: But please don't scold them. It is not their fault. They just wanted to help me. I should stop them. It was my test. I should refuse them. Please, don't say anything to them.

The Chauhan family smiled to see Avni defending Aditya.

Aditya: Avni, why are you taking the blame on yourself? I and Arjun insisted on you. You were stopping us.

Avni was looking at him. Both families were smiling.

Arjun: Yes, Bhabhi, Bhai is saying right.

Avni looked at him innocently.

Aditya: Grandma, don't listen to her. She is trying to save us.

Avni: Aditya, you...

Aditya: Avni, please. When it is not your fault then why are you...

Ambika smiled.

Ambika: Enough, enough, enough.

Everyone looked at Ambika and they were surprised to see her smiling.

Ambika: relax, Adi, take a breath.

Aditya frowned. Ambika looked at Avni.

Ambika: Avni, what magic you have spelled at Adi. He has changed completely. I was just joking.

They smiled and got relieved.

Ambika: I just wanted to see whether Avni can handle home, or not... The meaning of a life partner is to stand with each other at every turn of life and each phase of life. Whether it is happiness or sorrow, the situation was good or bad they have to face every storm holding the hand of each other like you both did today.

Aditya and Avni smiled. Aditya looked at Avni who also turned her face to him and they smiled.

Everyone nodded and they were happy. Arjun looked at Avni and Aditya and he thinks. Arjun smirked. Now it’s Arjun’s turn to pull Aditya’s legs.

Arjun: wow, Grandma, great lines. You are great. I am impressed.

Arjun gave a flying kiss to Ambika.

Arjun: Love you.

Everyone smiled.

Arjun: oh, by the way, Bhabhi, you didn’t cook Bhai’s favorite Kheer.

Aditya got shocked and he looked at Avni who looked down.

Ambika: Kheer and Adi’s favorite. When did this happen?

Arjun: since we went to see Bhabhi for Bhai.

Avni and Alka frowned.

Alka: why? Aditya doesn’t like Kheer?

Ambika: Not at all, if it was in his hands then he would ban milk in our home. 

The Chauhan family was surprised. Avni looked at Aditya who also looked at her and he smiled then he looked down.

Alka: but, he ate Kheer when he came to our home.

Ambika was surprised.

Ambika: what?

Ambika looked at Aditya.

Ambika: Adi?

Aditya avoided eye contact.

Aditya: Ab, wh, why are we wasting time in our talking? Let’s have dinner else it will get cold… come, Avni, Arjun.

Aditya went to sit on the chair and everyone smiled to see him because he avoided the conversation. Ambika sat and Avni and Arjun also came and sat. Avni sat with Aarti. They had dinner. Aditya stole the gaze at Avni while having dinner.

After dinner, everyone was sitting in the living area.

Arjun: come, Bhabhi, let me show you, your would-be home.

Avni smiled and looked down because she felt something in her heart to think that after her marriage this will be her home and the home where she is living will become her parent’s home. Aditya and the other smiled.

Ambika: yes, go, Avni.

Avni nodded.

Indravati: Aarti, Aman, you both also go with them.

They nodded. Arjun and Aditya looked at each other and Arjun winked at Aditya who understood his sign. They went. Aditya was looking at them and then he looked at the family.

Aditya: ab, actullay, I have…

Ambika: yes, yes, you have to make an important phone call, right? Go and do your work.

Aditya blushed while looking down and then he got up. Aditya went from there. Ambika and Anjana smiled to see him.

On the other side, Arjun was showing the home to Avni, Aman, and Aarti.
Aditya was waiting for them in his room. He was walking to and fro and then he stopped. Aditya looked at the door and kept his hand on his waist.

Aditya: why, they didn’t come till now. 

Aditya looked at the door and then he looked down by holding his lips. Aditya heard the footsteps and he looked at the door. Arjun and Avni entered. Aman and Aarti were with them.

Arjun: and this is Bhai’s room which will become your room after your marriage.

Aditya smiled and Avni looked down. Avni looked up and she was surprised to see Aditya. Arjun acted to be innocent.

Arjun: Bhai, you here?

Aditya: ab, yeah, I have some work so I came here.

Arjun: oh.

Aman and Arjun looked at each other. Aman nodded.

Aman: ab, I remembered. I also have some important work. Ab, you guys talk. I am coming.

Aarti: ab, I am also coming with you, wait.

Aman nodded. Avni was surprised. Avni wanted to stop Aarti but they went hurriedly. Avni felt odd.

Arjun: yes, mom, coming.

Avni looked at Arjun confusingly.

Arjun: sorry, Bhabhi, mom is calling me. I am just coming.

Avni: but I didn’t hear anything.

Arjun: what? But I heard. Bhai, did you hear?

Aditya looked at Arjun. Arjun winked.

Aditya: ab, ye, yeah, I heard, you go.

Avni understood their plan.

Avni: wait, I am also coming. I have seen home.

Arjun and Aditya were stunned. Avni turned to go.

Aditya: Avni.

Avni turned.

Aditya: you stay here.

Avni was surprised.

Aditya: please.

Avni didn’t say anything. Arjun smiled and he went from there. Now Aditya and Avni were alone in the room and Avni was feeling awkward.
