Third person P.O.V
A huge pout was resting on his lips while having the arms of his best friend tightly wrapped around his torso. Witnessing the pout, the taller male huffed and pinched the button nose of his friend after partying away from the hug.
"Come on, Tae. If you stay all pouty, my flight won't be good enough with my mind stuck on this face of yours." The raven-haired rolled his eyes, an action he had repeated for the nth time since the news of the said flight.
"Fine. Just... just stay in touch and happy, Ali." Noticing the tears brimming up in those warm eyes, Ali bit his lips and softly held the shoulders of the male.
"I'll, I promise, Tae. You are the best ever reward I've got here and a beautiful person by heart. And I'm not blind to ditch someone like you. I adore you a lot." Smiling mischievously, Ali scrunched his nose as he took a subtle step back (for his safety from the upcoming smack). "Minus the loud sneezing you do that almost gave me a heart attack! Wait- ouch!"
The little effort to save himself failed because, indeed, a smack landed on his head the next second. "You are divorced! I'm finding a new person!"
"Ok, ok, I'm sorry, big baby." Frowning when the tear rolled down the cheek of Taehyung, Ali wiped it and hugged him again when the announcement regarding his flight was heard at the airport.
"Traitor." The downward tug of Taehyung's lips had Ali think about his decision again, but duty calls.
"My Taehyungie can't have a bestie who is a traitor. And hey! Look at me. This handsome and innocent man can not fit in the category!" Exclaiming in the dull complaint, Ali made a face that finally got a giggle in response.
"Say my greetings to Namjoon hyung, and I'm sorry, I couldn't meet him before leaving."
"It's alright, he was wishing you good luck for your business, and have a safe journey, pabo."
"That's my Taehyung. Bye, big baby." Taehyung nodded silently when Ali took steps backward, still smiling widely at him.
"Bye, Ali."
Watching your best friend go away from you is one of the most painful moments, and feeling it in real time was awful. Best friend... a friend who held him when he was going through a phase of life where he felt all alone, depressed, and neglected.
During the first year of his degree, Jimin moved to London with his parents, and even when he was called a social butterfly, he was always careful in making close friends. Unfortunately, at that time, his mother also passed away, and his father fell quite sick. Namjoon had started his career in Busan and was bound to stay here for 6 months before he could take the option of transferring to Seoul.
Taehyung was very much devastated because he was closer to his mother, but again, he had to be stronger for his father. That period had his bubbly self crushed to the core when Ali came out as the ray of shine in his life, bringing him out of the pit of the abyss he was drowning in.
The boy was all jolly and confident with the specks of wisdom, all in a perfect blend, and those qualities helped Taehyung a lot to be closest to him and make him his best friend.
Shaking his head on the reminder of his old good days, Taehyung made his way to the car only to feel a sudden shudder on the back of his neck... a whole rain of goosebumps. Looking around, he met with the busy crowd, and no one was attentive towards him.
Shrugging his shoulder, he entered the car and decided to take the last class after missing the morning ones. The way back to the university felt too short yet too boring even by imagining that his best friend wouldn't be there to nag.
"Yo! Taehyung, you dropped Ali?" One of his classmates asked when he opened the door of his class and nodded quietly, taking his seat.
"He must be feeling so down." He could hear them whisper, but he had a plan to complete his degree with good grades, and for that, he needed to be focused.
The professor was right on time, and the lecture was quick to pass on because it was his favorite subject as well. And the moment he hit the bed after reaching home, his first thought was about the last night. It was really odd whatever happened.
How could he hallucinate something so realistic? Like... he was sure to see Namjoon entering the house and then acting all weird before going to his room, but all of it was too off when he found no assurance of what he actually saw or hallucinated. And the most irritating thing was his brother's raised brow, who called him weird for an continuously.
Picking up his phone from his side table while huffing lightly, he noticed that there must be a few hours before Ali would reach his country and decided to shower and nap before his brother came back.
The early winter was almost there, and the warm shower made him feel too good to even think about doing anything else as he found himself snuggled in the blankets after drying his hair.
He could hear the small tics of the clock and the distant barking of his neighbour's dog. Ah, his Tannie was with his father because he wanted some distraction and pampering that little fluff ball was on the top.
"I miss you, Tan ah." The soft mumble stayed within confinement of his blanket when he almost dozed off with the thoughts of Ali reaching safely and planning to take Tan back for some days.
The last thing he saw was clock struck 6pm. The lulling of sleep fairy was too sweet to ignore after all. But seems like it wasn't his day to sleep in peace because just as he was diving into the dreamland, a loud thud in the room with a burst of cold air hitting his bare legs had him frown deeply in distress.
He locked the windows properly in the morning, and now, with barely opened eyes, he was glaring at the opened window from where he could hear the loud barking of the neighbour's dog. With great efforts to drag his legs, which were already out of the blanket, he made his way to close and lock the window, taken aback by the shadow lurking behind him in the reflection of the glass.
Whipping his head back to see the person trying to prank or scare him, he was met with his room devoid of any other human than him. Rubbing his eyes harshly, he again looked back at the window glass to find nothing except for his own shadow.
Throwing his head back in exasperation, he groaned. "Seriously, Taehyung. Get it together, you fool." The same moment, bell of his home went off, getting his full attention and wiping his sleep away.
Pouting annoyingly, he sulked and went to open the door only to find a man standing there all covered in black, and even his face was covered. The clothes looked more like a costume from a fantasy drama.
"Who are you?" The unknown man stayed like a statue for a minute or two before a shrieking and shrill scream echoed inside the whole house, bringing Taehyung on his knees as he tried to cover his ears...
The voice was nothing like he ever heard before, churning his insides in a bruising way. He barely could see the person having his head positioned upwards and the blurry face that looked soaked in something black, something thick and dark... stinky.
A whimper stuck in his throat like a lump when the long hand clutched over his upper left arm, the hold felt burning to his skin even from the layers of his clothes and his scream of pain stayed stuck in his throat as if someone squeezed his vocal cords in a tight grip instead of his arm.
The person leaned in his personal space, the shrill scream doubling, and his ears felt like bleeding at the torture when he saw his face... the face that looked nothing like a human. It was too scary to call a human or a man. Too distorted to even call a face. Was that skin? No, it doesn't look like skin... it was like burnt meat, black, sinister with no organs clear to his eyes.
The way his lips trembled to call for help, scream, and yet remain out of his order to do so gave him the scare for his life. The grip over his arm felt like literally burning his skin and flesh, penetrating the pain deep to his bone when the thing in front of him made his head turn to his hand and...
"Taehyung! Come on, wake up. Goodness. I'm starving, and you are nowhere near to wake up and help me in making the dinner." The fading voice of his brother had him gulp and pant badly as he kept laying on his bed, all snuggled up inside his blanket and coming down from the terror of his nightmare.
"Mrs. Han needs to train him more. Jolly is making a lot of noise today." Namjoon complained from the kitchen, busy with dinner while Taehyung choked back a whimper when a seething pain shot up in his arm when he moved to get up.
The dog was still barking so harshly.
And his ring was glowing lightly. All while he calmed himself, ignoring the nightmare because half of it was already gone from his mind.
After all, a nightmare was meant to be forgotten... even if it is formidable enough to draw the soul into the pit of never-ending darkness.

Assalam o alaikum.
So?
