"Introducing Elizabeth Melody Masen!" Alice singed pulling the poor girl outside.

"It's just jeans and a jacket." She laughed and I noticed she spoke with a strange accent.

"Have you ever worn jeans before?" Renesmee asked.

"No. I don't think I care for them either." She laughed and everyone else did too.

"Sis, there's someone you need to meet." Renesmee grabbed her arm and pushed her towards me. When Melody took in my appearance she instantly freaked out. Her breathing hitched, she started hyperventilating, and she visibly paled even though it seemed impossible.

"Lupo mannaro! Werewolf!" She cried and latched onto Edwards neck and his arms drew around her tightly.

"Shh, it's okay Melody. Jacob is a..."he paused and looked at me "family friend. He's going to take you and Renesmee to the reservation. Remember the party?" He spoke softly and she nodded.

"It's safe?" She asked and I rolled my eyes.

"Of course Melody. Jacob would never hurt anyone." Renesmee smiled at her as she uncurled herself from Edward.

"But, you have to have a pack. There's more of you isn't there?" She asked and I nodded.

"A lot of us." I responded and she shut her eyes tightly.

"You'll still come with me right? It will be so much fun! Everyone will love you!" Renesmee cheered and Melody looked her deeply in the eyes.

"Yes. If that's what you want." She smiled slightly and Renesmee hugged her tightly.

"Let's get going then." I headed towards my rabbit and the girls followed.

"So, Jacob, how do you know the Cullens?" Melody asked.

"I was friends with your mom when she was human. Your dad and the other Cullens and I on the other hand did not like each other very much." I explained.

"Jacob is my boyfriend." Renesmee turned around in the front seat and smiled at Melody.

I couldn't really tell much of a difference between the two of them. Other than their eye colors and Melodys accent.

We got to the beach and Renesmee wrapped and arm around Melody as we walked down the decline towards the shore.

"Hey Ness!" Seth cheered running towards her and scooping her up in a big hug.

"Hey Seth!" She smiled "This is my twin Melody." Renesmee gestured.

Seths eyes grew wide and he looked back and forth between the girls.

"Why don't we get everyone to gather around the fire?" I asked and Seth nodded heading off towards the group.

By the time we approached the fire the whole group was crowded around and staring intensely at Melody.

"Everyone, this is my twin sister Melody!" Renesmee introduced everyone. Melody looked scared of the werewolves and they all looked suspicious of her.

"How do you have a sister and we never knew about her?" Seth asked cautiously.

"She was taken when we were born by the Volturi. We didn't even know about her until about ten days ago. She found out on our birthday." As soon as Renesmee mentioned the Volturi every wolf tensed and Sam even stood.

"She's not dangerous. She's never even drank blood, it disgusts her. She's very sweet and lovely. Give her a chance! Please?" Renesmee smiled at everyone. No one can ever say no to Ness.

"Of course she can stay Nessie!" Emily came and grabbed one of her hands tightly.

"Yay!" Nessie cheered and hugged Melody tightly.

After everyone warmed up to Melody she hung back and people rotated between her, Ness, and beach activities.

At one time I saw her sitting on one of the logs a little ways down the shore messing with her bracelets.

"Hey, mind if I take a seat?" I asked and she shrugged.

"What's wrong?" I asked after a few minuets of silence.

"I miss my grandmother." She sighed "Being around all of these werewolves reminded me of her. I didn't even get to tell her goodbye when I left."

"Is she a werewolf?"

"No, she's a vampire more or less. She was attacked by a pack of werewolves a long time ago. That's why I was so afraid. I've always been taught how dangerous you are to me." She explained and I realized she really was just a sweet girl that no one understands.

"What are those?" I asked pointing to her bracelets.

"My charms. My grandmother gets them for me all of time. Every major event in my life has a representation on this one," she showed me her largest silver bracelet "things of significance important to me on this one, and then on this one there are charms to represent my different...family members." She paused looking sad "I'm contemplating putting my grandmothers charm on a different bracelet and then throwing this one in the water." She twisted the bracelet around on her wrist.

"Melody! Come here I have something to show you!" Nessie called.

A Volturi charm flashed in the sunlight from the setting sun as she got up and walked back towards her sister.

"How was the party?" Edward asked me as soon as I opened the front door.

"Fine. Some of the werewolves are very nice. Seth mostly." I answered.

"I think everyone likes Seth. I even like Seth." He laughed and I couldn't help but laugh with him.

"Hey Melody! Why don't you go get into some pajamas and come back and we'll all have a movie night!" Alice cheered.

"Okay." I responded and walked out the back door.

I shot through the forest feeling the fresh air hit my face. It feels like it's been forever since I was able to run freely like this.

I got to the cottage, got my black silk nightgown and black sheer cover up out of the closet, and headed to the bathroom to take a quick shower. After I got out I pinned my wet hair up on top of my head and slipped on a pair of ballet flats. I ran back to the main house and everyone was in the living room getting ready.

"Here, why don't you come sit by us?" Edward sat closer to Bella and left a big space on the couch for me.

"Sure." I smiled and criss crossed my legs.

"Here Melody, we don't want you getting cold." Esme smiled and settled a blanket around my lap and I thanked her.

"Where's Renesmee?" I asked.

"With Jacob. She wanted to spend the night at the reserve." Grampa Carlisle smiled at me as he settled next to Esme on the love seat.

"I don't like him. There's just something I don't trust." I grumbled.

"That makes two of us." Edward laughed and Bella hit his arm.

"So do you all do this a lot?" I asked referring to their family time.

"Yeah, we do stuff like this all the time." Jasper smiled as he and Rosalie picked out different movies.

"Usually we like to do a little more physically challenging things but when Renesmees around we do stuff like this mostly." Rosalie added.

"I love physical things. Especially if I get to run. I love running but I never get too. Not enough space in the castle. Fa-Aro always says that princesses are supposed to be graceful not fast."

"Wait. I didn't even realize that you're the Volturis princess! So if he were to die..."

"I would take his thrown." I finished Alice's sentence "If someone didn't kill me first. If I was gone it would go to either the top guard member or my grandmother if she wanted it badly enough."

"Grandmother?" Carlisle asked.

"Aros mother," I paused and my heart sunk in my chest "She's not even my grandmother." Tears brimmed my eyes "I love her more than anything in this world and she lied to me." I started crying and Edward wrapped his arms tightly around me.

"I'm sure she loves you Melody. She just had to co-operate with Aros lies." He shushed me.

"Why me? Why was I chosen by some cruel twist of fate to have my entire life controlled?" I started yelling through my tears and he pulled me onto his lap. My head was on his shoulder and my legs were draped across Bella's legs.

He just let me cry and yell until I fell asleep.
