I lay Nala down on the couch as I let Kuroka heal her up.

Y/n: "Take care of her for me will ya?"

She nods as she begins working. I walk over to my bed and sit down while trying to plan out my next move. Kurumi was laying down to my side, petting a cat she had brought home with her when strolling he city.

Kurumo: "Still can't believe you almost died. I would of thought with your strength, you'd be able to easily deal with them"

Y/n: "I didn't think I'd die either... Erebus, everything good outside?"

"The barrier hasn't been come in contact with anyone. Although, I can sense Ophis nearby"

Y/n: "What could she possibly want?"

Kurumi tags along as we head out and find the infinity dragon waiting for us sitting on a bench.

Ophis: "Sit"

"What am I, a dog now?"

I sit beside her while Kurumi jumps onto my lap.

Y/n: "Can you not?"

I lift her up and place next to me.

Kurumi: "I like the other seat better"

Y/n: "And I like having the ability to move"

Ophis: "So, have you accepted my deal~?"

Y/n: "Like I said, I'm not looking to join anyone. You and that little crew of yours are fine in my books as long as you don't stir up problems"

Ophis: "I wasn't talking about the Khaos Brigade"

Y/n: "Then what are you talking about?"

Ophis: "I've abandoned them in favor of you. I want you to be my warrior that will grant my desire"

Y/n: "Huh?"

Ophis: "I wish to return to the Dimensional Gap. You'll help me achieve that and I'll grant you my power. You'll have the power of the God of Chaos, Erebus. Along with that, you'll also have the power from the Dragon of Infinity, I, Ophis"

Erebus: "That doesn't sound like a bad idea Y/n"

Y/n: "I get that but I ain't looking to do anybody's work"

Ophis: "Think of it like I gave you a contract. You'll only be doing me favor in exchange for one in return. What do you say?"

I look at Erebus and think about my decision carefully.

Y/n: "Sounds like easy and too good to be true. What do you think Erebus?"

Erebus: "What's the catch Ophis?"

Ophis: "Big Red"

Y/n: "Issei's dragon?"

Ophis: "Precisely. In order for me to return there, I'll have to eject Big Red. Do you see my dilemma?"

Y/n: "And you can't do it?"

Ophis: "You are strong. You have the power to do it"

Y/n: "Well.. I can't say I don't have any new spells or learned how to use my Chaos Overdrive. Look, if I accept this, you'll have to honor your side of the deal too"

Ophis: "Of course. Shall we make our alliance official?"

She leaned in a little closer until Kurumi pointed the barrel of the gun to her head.

Kurumi: "You've talked about the benefits that he'll get, but you haven't mentioned what the rest of us earn"

Ophis: "You'll come along for the ride. Isn't that good enough?"

Kurumi: "I want to kill you so much"

I grab the gun and pull it away.

Y/n: "Knock it off, we got important shit to take care of. We could use the extra help"

Kurumi: "*sighs* Whatever. You're the one in charge I guess"

She puts her arms behind her head and falls into her shadow.

Kurumi: "Just call for me when there's important shit to do"

Y/n: "I will"

With that, she leaves.

Ophis: "Do you mind if I stay at your place?"

Y/n: "Sure, why not. It seems everyone lives there nowadays"

Erebus: "To think I'd see you again Ophis?"

Ophis: "I see you are now serving a vessel now. I like this one"

Y/n: "You two know each other?"

Erebus: "We were both born before life was even a thought"

Y/n: "No wonder you two were talking so casually. I find something new about you everyday"

We walk in just as Kuroka finished nursing Nala.

Kuroka: "I'm exhausted. OOH!! Let's have hot, steamy se-!!"

She turns around and sees Ophis next to me. Without saying a word, I know what she's thinking.

Kuroka: "Really? You are cheating on me already?"

Y/n: "Who said-?"

Kuroka: "I'm kidding. Hello Ophis"

Ophis: "Black cat with the big knockers"

Kuroka: "They are Y/n's big knockers I'll have you know"

I scratch my head as I head for the kitchen.

Y/n: "I guess they are.."

I scour through the fridge on what to make.

Y/n: "Ophis, since you're the guest, I'll let you choose what you want me to make"

Ophis: "Dragon leg"

Y/n: "... What?"

Kuroka: ".. Are you serious?"

She stands proudly after making her joke.

Y/n: "*sigh* Guess so"

Ophis: "Hm?"

I walk over to her and grab her leg.

Ophis: "Hey, what are you-?"

Y/n: "Bonappetite"

Ophis: "Ahn~!!"

I softly nibble at her leg while she squirms in her seat.

Y/n: "I thought you said I could eat a dragon leg?"

Ophis: "NOT MINE!!"

Y/n: "Then stop messing around and pick something for me to make!!!"

Ophis: "I want pancakes"

Y/n: "That's all you had to say"

Nala: "I'll go make them"

Nala sluggishly said with little to no energy.

Y/n: "You stay in bed and rest up young lady. No more doing any chores or anything until you are back at full health"

Kuroka: "You sound like her father"

Y/n: "Maybe I am. Anyways, you want some too?"

Kuroka: "Of course!!"

I head back to the kitchen as I let them get along with one another. Somewhere in between, Kurumi showed back up and got into the conversation.

Y/n: "And almost-"

I sense something grabbing onto my sausage downstairs. I turn around to find a very.. flushed looking Kuroka strapped to my back. She had dug her hands straight through my pants and wasn't letting go.

Y/n: "You in heat or something?"

She was snuggling up to me while rubbing her face onto my back with some heavy breathing which let me know everything. I look behind her to see nobody else had noticed what was going on. I finish up and use my Presence Concealment to hide both of our existence from the rest and left.

Ophis: "Y/n, how long-"

She saw the meals prepared on the table, along with a letter.

"I'll be back soon. Going to get some groceries with Kuroka"

Kurumi: "Well that's a lie"

Nala: "Do you all care for-"

Kurumi: "No, Nala cannot prepare anything. That's an order"

She read the back of it causing the little catgirl to sulk in bed.

Nala: "Or not"

After a few hours of taking care of Kuroka's needs, we find ourselves at a convenience store to look for more food.

Kuroka: "Are you sure you want to be here? Aren't you worried about what will happen if they find you?"

Y/n: "My Presence Concealment is still on. They can't sense nor detect me as long as I maintain it on. We'll be fine Kuroka"

Kuroka: "If you say so"

She began to grab things and look to see if I could use them. She searched between things that could be prepared by me and things she could cook on the microwave. Unaware of myself, I had been staring at her the whole time.

Kuroka: "Hey, do you think-"

I leaned in for a kiss and took it from her lips for a few seconds.

Kuroka: "What was that about?"

Y/n: "I'm just happy. Happy I ain't alone with you around"

Kuroka nuzzled up to me just like a kitten would before swiftly getting under my jacket and pulling down the zipper so she could see out.

Y/n: "*chuckles* You like being spoiled don't you?"

Kuroka: "It's only right, I'm cute after all right~?"

Y/n: "Of course you are"

Erebus: "I've continued to conceal myself and her animal ears. You two are still in the clear"

Y/n: "Thanks buddy"

We strolled through the isles, picking up anything that Kuroka liked or wanted to try. After about half an hour, I paid for the things and we went on our way back home.

Y/n: "I'm pretty sure they'll know we weren't out shopping for.. 5 hours?"

Kuroka: "I don't mind. Can't hide what we are right?"

Y/n: "True"

??: "Y/n"

I stop as I sense a familiar presence behind us.

Kuroka: "Y/-"

Y/n: "Kurumi"

Kurumi: "Yes?"

She appears from underneath us while I don't turn around.

Y/n: "Take Kuroka and the groceries back to the house"

Kuroka: "Wait, you're not gonna-"

Y/n: "It's alright. After all, this is a family matter. Ain't that right Ryu?"

My grandfather stood behind us hiding behind his cloak.

Ryu: "You've gotten better boy"

Kurumi: "We can-"

Y/n: "I've said what I said"

I grab Erebus and slowly turn around.

Y/n: "Ready for combat partner?"

Erebus: "Of course. To the end with you"

Ryu: "You're going to have to come with me child. Come to grandpa"

I pull out Erebus from his sheath as his energy flow leaks out from my anger.

Erebus: "Y/n, you'll expose yourself if you can't control-"

He noticed how serious I was and didn't say a word.

Erebus: "As you wish"

The two girls behind me stared at my back as I cracked my neck.

Y/n: "Go"

Kurumi: ".. You better call for us if you need help"

Y/n: "..."

With that, the two left us alone.

Ryu: "My grandson, you've grown quite powerful. Truly the worthy one to lead humanity after Ragnorak has been completed"

Y/n: "So that's who you've allied yourself with.. Loki"

Ryu: "This is what's needed boy. I will regain what I lost.. You will regain what you lost"

Y/n: "I'm fine with my sins, I don't go looking for redemption or to revive the past. I've let it go. Minakawa is gone and burnt Ryu, let it go"

Ryu: "You wouldn't understand boy. I've lost far more than you could ever comprehend"

Y/n: "And you think Loki's plan will magically fix what you can't attain?"

Ryu: "It's the only thing I have left"

Y/n: "You had me.. You had my parents, you had the village. Yet, you traded them for something else"

Ryu: "And I will live with the guilt of killing them for my own happiness.. Y/n, you are an essential component for Ragnorak. Come with us. Come and I shall offer you everything"

Y/n: "Erebus"

Erebus: "Chaos Overdrive"

The armor began to build up as I keep my eyes on the last family member I have.

Y/n: "Everything? I have my everything right now. I'm not letting you take that away from me Ryu"

Ryu: "I see.. Well, it seems I'll have to beat this lesson into you"

And so, the first chapter of the revamped Volume 2 is out. I've made a few changes to the story, including changing Ryu to Yagyu since I wanted the swordsman line to continue on in the L/n familyline. I'll do my best to continue this story now that I got a basis on how to continue it. I'll see you all in the next chapter :)
