I put a head band on as I start stretching a bit. I start a little jug around the parking lot for 20 minutes to wake every muscle up before I start working out.

"Why don't I put a little something while we warm up"

"What do you have in mind?"

I pull out my phone and open up tube you, I search up for my favorite workout song when I watch a good sport movie.

"Ready?"

"Yes"

"Time for a workout time skip"

"Erebus... don't do that again"

"Alright"

I grab my weights and tie them up to my waist. I start jogging once again, slowly picking up speed as each minute passes.

"Is that all you can weight you can drag?"

"Yea right"

I speed up pick up a pair of dumbbells along the way and start running with them.

"Keep going"

"I know"

I keep on going, forgetting all about that run being just a warm up as Erebus continues to challenge me.

"STOP!!"

I immediately stop in my tracks, awaiting for Erebus' next command.

"Pushups, 200"

"Yes sir!!"

I drop down and start doing pushups. I get to around 50 when Erebus stops me again.

"Jumping pushups"

"Aye"

I jump, posing like superman would in mid flight, while I'm in mid air before gravity brings me back down and get my first rep down. I keep going as I reach 50 once again.

"Stop!!! Diamond pushups"

"How many times are you going to keep changing!!!"

"Until you've done 200 of each"

I lose my composure and almost fall over as I regain my balance.

"If you fail, we are starting all over from the beginning"

"From the normal pushups?"

"From the jogging"

I can feel my skin turn pale as I think about restarting all over again, I shake my head and continue my workout.

"I'm not gonna give up!! Even if I have to start all over again!!!"

I keep pushing myself further as I finish every style of pushups Erebus gives me, and then repeat that same pushup routine 4 more times. Diamond, jumping, normal and one handed. One handed pushups were 200 for each hand. Currently I was laying on the ground as I had no break in between.

"What are you doing?"

"Resting up a bit, I had no break"

"THERE IS NO REST!!! WE HAVE TO GET YOU INTO SHAPE AND ABLE TO CONTROL MY MAGIC BEFORE ENEMIES ARRIVE!!!"

I slowly rise to my feet as I move towards the next exercise.

"What is it going to be this time?"

"Eye training"

"Eye wha-"

I dodge an upcoming kunai heading my way. I look over to it, seeing it covered in black flames.

"What the hell was that about?!"

"Your training, try surviving the kunais I throw from my spirit form, they'll kill you if you don't dodge them"

"What will that help me with?!"

"Eye coordination, stamina endurance, and surviving your fires"

"Ah the hell with this.. let's just get this over with already"

"As expected of my vessel, never backing down from a challange.. let's start!!"

He throws out multiple kunais at once, I dodge all of them but I notice something.

"Hey, when does this training end?"

"When you're incapacitated"

"What?!"

I dodge the incoming barrage of them as I pull out my kunai, deflecting some of the coming kunais as I jump back.

"Are they coming out none stop?! How do you have so many!!"

"I consumed one of your kunais a while back, I can now project as many as I'd like"

"You son of a bitch, you couldn't tell me about this ability while we were at war with an army!!"

"You never asked"

"I'll revive you, kill you, revive you again, and kill you again!! I'll dull your blade and return you back to it you piece of shit"

"I'm going to speed up the throwing speed"

I keep up the pace until I notice he's actually also throwing more kunais.

"Stop throwing more"

A kunai strikes me in the knee.

"Stay focused idiot!!"

"Shut up!!"

A couple of hours later and we finish up our training, my wound heals up and I'm ready for the next training.

"Alright what's next?"

"We're training your magic capabilities, to see what level you call handle and after that, we'll training your endurance on sed rank"

"Not gonna try and push for a higher rank?"

"If you can't handle your limit, what makes you think it's possible to master a rank you can't touch yet"

"Guess you have a point there"

"Now let's get started, well start off with your Divine Protection, it has a healing factor which you don't manifest since you haven't reached that rank yet"

"What rank is it right now?"

"The one you put those 3 leaders and your ex comrades was at a D-rank, the healing factors start at A rank, EX would give healing factors along with with a Body Enhancement-esque spell on whoever you target, both for their physical and magical self"

"I like it"

"Now let's start, we'll head to sit ups then crunches"

"As you wish sensei"

Outside training area

A lonely girl was walking down the road with some groceries. A few men had seen her and began following her. She made her way into an alleyway as the whistled at her.

"Hey there baby, how about we show you a good time"

Standing behind him were 3 other men.

"Oh, well of course, I'd love to have some fun"

She giggles as she slowly turns around.

"So.. which one of you boys is first"

Back at camp

"200... 201"

"AAAAAAAAHH!!!"

I stop doing my crunches as I hear screams coming from nearby.

"That doesn't sound good"

"Should we investigate"

"According to the movies I shouldn't"

"But what does your instincts say"

"Well you already know what they are telling me"

I get up and grab Erebus, taking off to the direction the screams came from.

"It looks to have came from here"

I walk down the alleyway and see a complete massacre ahead of me. Corpses lying down, dismembered as blood fills the area around me.

"Erebus, scan the area"

"Yes"

I walk deeper into the alleyway as I cover my nose.

"We're walking into a shithole at the moment, who could of done this-"

"That would be me"

Out from the depths of the alleyway, a girl in a gothic lolita outfit with a golden eye walks out from a shadow.

"You did this?"

"Yes, you see these men wanted me to have a fun time"

She smiled as she leaned forward.

"So I did.. and I enjoyed myself"

She whispered into my ear.

Careful, she seems dangerous.

Yea, I'll stay on guard.

So I've officially marked the end of Vol 1 here, I had another 2 chapters I wanted to make but I honestly didnt see how to incorporate it as a part of Vol 1. So, I'll cut it off here on a cliff hanger so y'all can look forward to it in Vol 2. Speaking of Vol 2, I'll have an announcement out in the incoming days regarding its release date. It was a hell trying to finish off this chapter between working so many days in a row but I got it done, not satisfied but Oh well, some chapters will be like that for writers.
