6 days later

"I'm sorry... everything was because of my stupid harem dreams"

Issei had a hand on his best friend's grave.

"I could even tell you how sorry I was"

He falls to his knees as he hugs the slab with tears falling from his eyes as he vents out his regrets.

"I'm sorry I couldn't save you!!!"

The tears wouldn't stop flowing with ever word he said. A hand comes to his shoulder. He looks up to see the president of the Occult club.

"Issei, it's been two days, you have to come back home... you haven't eaten since the event occurred"

She kneels down to be eye level with him and hugs him.

"It's not your fault, you can't keep blaming yourself for it"

"But I kissed her"

"Because I asked you both too"

"But I caused the action that made him leave"

She hugs him tighter as she shed a tear.

"I'm to be blamed for this aswell"

Rias stayed by Issei's side as they mourn their old fallen friend. The grave reading.

Y/n L/n we love and miss you buddy Rest In Peace.

Hyoudou house

Xenovia walked up to Asia as she was heading out of Koneko's room.

"How is she?"

"She still hasn't woken up, her fever hasn't dropped but luckily hasn't increased either"

She drops to the ground and covers her face in her knees. Xenovia sits next to her, putting an arm around her.

"Hey, your doing the best you can, she'll be okay, she's strong"

"Thanks, but it isn't just that"

Xenovia drops her head down as she loses her supportive smile.

"I miss him too, but we have to be able to be strong and-"

She chokes on her words holding back the urge to shed any tears as she closes her eyes and turns away.

"We need to.. be strong and-"

Asia jumps up and hugs her as she starts to tear up.

"I know but I can't help it.. I miss him"

Xenovia hugs her back as the urge to cry for her fallen friend was to difficult to contain.

"I miss him too"

The two girls hold onto as they cry into each other's shoulders.

Y/n's room

Inside, Akeno was comforting Kamiko as she balled into Akeno's arms.

"That's not true!!! He's coming back, he's not dead!!"

Akeno pet her head as she held onto her.

"I'm so sorry.. but it's true"

She looks up to see Nala who is looking at the floor, expressionless.

"Rias said you two can stay here aslong as you'd like, she offered to take you both in as her familiar"

"No thank you" Nala said, devoid of any life.

She got up from the bed.

"I appreciate Lady Rias' offer but I'll decline"

She starts making her way towards the door but stops right next to the couch Y/n would sleep in since he got them. She puts her hand on the pillow he'd rest his head on as a single tear runs down her cheek. A small smile on her face as she remember all the times she'd take care of him.

"I don't know about the fox, but I'll only have one master"

She turns towards Akeno, still keeping her smile.

"Master Y/n will be the only person I'll ever report to as being my master and I'll take care of him until the day I die"

She puts her hand on the knob and turns it.

"Where are you going?"

"I'm going to see my master, I said I'll be taking care of him didn't I"

She walked out of the room as she picked a few flowers she and Y/n had planted before. She picked the ones he liked the most and head out the house. As she head out, Kiba and Rias carried a passed out Issei to his bedroom. They laid him down as she covered him up.

"He'll eat tomorrow when he wakes up"

Kiba and Rias exited his room as Rias peeked one more time wishing him the best on his recovery. She closes the door and turns to Kiba who doesn't look to well himself.

"Are you okay?"

"To be quite honest with you Lady Rias, not really"

He leans back onto the wall as he looks at the ceiling.

"I know it all happened too fast but I can't help but feel useless for not being able to save him"

Rias leans her head on his shoulder as she sighs.

"You shouldn't feel like that Kiba, it's not healthy to blame yourself for something you had no blame for"

She picks her head up and walks up in front of him.

"None of were aware of an ambush, what happened to him was out of our control"

"I'm angry that we couldn't catch the culprits either"

He clenches his fist as he glares at the ground. Rias puts a hand on her knight's cheek as she looks at him.

"Don't worry, we'll find out who did this and we'll make them pay for what they did to him, his death won't go unpunished and I promise you that"

Kiba gives her a thankful smile as he starts walking away.

"Thank you Lady Rias, I'm sure you'll be able to catch who did this and give him or her what they deserved"

Inside the mind

Koneko POV

I'm currently walking through a dark tunnel. No exit in sight, nor anything recognizable. All there is, is a straight line down with nothing but walls around me. After a couple of minutes of walking, I find myself outside, in the field once again. I see out in the distance a familiar person.

"Y/n?"

I sprint towards him but he doesn't look back at me.

"Y/n!!"

I scream at him at the top of my lungs, trying desperately to grab his attention. Suddenly, an arrow hits him in the head as he falls down. His blood hits me in the face as I look at his dead corpse. I drop down to my knees as I crawl up to his body. I set his head on my lap as tears start raining down from my eyes. I rub his hair as I cry.

"You see what you did?"

I look up to see... Y/n. I look down to see his corpse gone. I look back at him but my surroundings change. I'm inside of the Occult club.

"Y/n?"

"You killed me, all because of your selfish reasons'

"No, I didn't-"

"You chose him, look what happened to me!! You killed me Koneko!! You did!!"

"I didn't mean too"

I started crying once again as I cover my ears. Suddenly I'm tied up as my eyes are opened forcefully.

"You aren't escaping this hell, you caused this"

A large projector in the ceiling continued to play Y/n's death over and over again.

"Stop!!! Stooop!!!"

I tried turning away but I couldn't, I tried closing my eyes but Y/n forced them open.

"No, you caused me to die, now I'm going to put you through this hell, you'll see me die everytime, look this is my favorite part, exactly when arrow hits me in between the eyes"

"AAAAHH!!"

"Scream!!! Noone can hear you inside your head!!! Aaaaahh!!!"

I open my eyes and find myself inside my room. My body was sweating as a towel falls over my eyes. I remove it to see it wet.

"Koneko, you're awake!!"

Asia jumps up and hugs me as she starts tearing up.

"I though you'd never wake up again!!"

I push her away from me as I grab her hands.

"Y/n!! Where is he? Is he okay?!"

I look into her eyes, hoping it was all a dream. But the second I say it, all hope I had had died as she looked down, depressed look in her face.

"He's really gone isn't he?"

"He was buried 5 days ago, you've been in a coma for 9 days"

I let go of her as I fall back into the bed, my arm over my eyes as tears fall down.

"Why?... Asia?"

"Yes?"

"Can you leave me? I want to be alone"

She shook her head as she left the room, leaving the light off.

"Y/n!!!"

Tears began to roll down my eyes as I cried myself to sleep.

Y/n's Grave

In front of Y/n's grave, a girl in a maid outfit had stayed there, watching over his grave for the past 3 days. She had scars all over her knees as she stayed sitting in the same place for the last 3 days. She hadn't eaten in those 3 days but continued to stay in front of her master's grave, cleaning it everytime a leaf or dirt fell over it.

"Nala?"

Rias and the rest of her peerage had came by worried since she hadn't been back. She kneeled down next to her as the rest were either behind or on her other side. Kiba offered his coat to her since it was currently under 60*. She politely declined never taking her eyes of her master's grave.

"Nala, you haven't eaten, you've been here in this same place for 3 days now"

"I told Lady Akeno already, I'll always be next to my master, I won't let him be here alone" she smiled as she put a hand on his grave.

"I'll always stay by your side Master, even if I end up dying from hunger or dehydration, I won't ever let you feel lonely"

Rias pulled out a coat and put it around her.

"Your master wouldn't want you to be cold either"

She placed a coat Y/n had in his closet. Nala grabbed it and wrapped it around herself and tears slowly fell down.

"It still has his scent on it, it's still has his warmth"

Rias put a hand on her head as she looked at her.

"Nala, you have to come back, Y/n wouldn't want to see you like this.. come on, let's go home, well make a hot chocolate and-"

"No, I'm not leaving my master's side even if an asteroid was heading this way"

She looked up to Rias with tears in her eyes.

"I won't leave him ever again, I should of been there for him when he was gone all this time now look at him, I failed him as a maid"

She looked back at him tomb.

"I'll watch over him from now on so nothing happens to his resting place"

Rias gave the rest of the group a defeated look as she got up and placed a hand on her back.

"Whenever you decide to come back, we'll have a cup of hot chocolate and pancakes ready for you okay?"

"Thank you Lady Rias but that's not needed, I won't leave my master's side again"

The group left as the day went and turned into night. A group of two men were walking through when they noticed the delicate little maid.

"Hello little lady, what are you doing here all alone"

She had an expressionless look in her eyes as she didn't acknowledge them.

"Hey, I'm talking to you, who's this, your lover"

One of the men kneeled down next to her as he got up close to her ear.

"Come with us, let us show you a good time and help you forget about this loser"

The guy behind her laughed but was instantly silenced.

"Why don't we do it here in front of him eh?"

He reached for her chest but his hand was instantly cut off.

"AAAAAHHH!!!-"

His throat was sliced as he fell down, bleeding out as some blood fell on the tomb. Nala leaned over and wiped it out with a piece of cloth she had. Her eyes widen as a familiar scent was behind her.

"Master Y/n-"

She looked over her but instead of her master, an older man stood over her.

"Hello there little lady"

"Why, why do you smell like my master?"

He kneeled down beside her, placing some flowers over his grave.

"He's my grandson"

"Im sorry about your lose"

"I should be saying that to you, he was your master wasn't he"

Nala nod as she looked at the old man.

"Me and Y/n didn't get along well towards the end of our time together, we had gotten into a bit of an argument"

"I doubt my master hated you!!! He never said anything you though"

Ryu put a hand over her head and smiled at her.

"I know that, I'll always love my grandson despite how he feels about me"

He got up as he looked back at her.

"I know his tomb will be kept safe and clean under your surveillance, right?"

"Absolutely, but wait-"

She turned to see the bodies of the men gone.

"They're-"

She turned back to see Ryu gone.

"I see you've gone to say goodbye to your grandson"

"I have"

"So what now? Erebus is still inside of him"

"Don't worry about that, my grandson's dead but he still lives inside of him"

"What do we do?"

"We wait, two things will occur in the next 5 days"

Ryu sat down as Loki leaned on a tree.

"1, he will revive back but my Y/n will be dead"

"Dead, so he'll be an undead?"

"No, he will have no recollection of who he was or what he was doing in that box, he won't know anybody, it's like he was reborn"

"What's the second option?"

"Erebus will take over, he'll be reborn and tear this world apart and make it his living hell, killing any and everything"

"Although I dont mind the second option, I'd prefer the 1st option since it'll be easier to get his cooperation in my ragnorak plan"

"Well, we'll have to wait"

Black void

I open my eyes and see I'm in a black environment, floating as I see nothing but pitch black around me.

Where am I.

I look down to see holes in my body.

I can't move.

All I could do was move around my neck. I'm currently just floating down. I don't know where I'm heading.

This can't be real, wake up!!

I try biting my lip trying to wake myself up.

Wake up!!!

I look behind me to see a place of fire and dead corpses.

No, get up!! Y/n, wake up!!!

I  try to desperately to move my arms but I can't. I start panicking, trying not to go down to that hell hole.

Please!! Anybody, wake me up!!!

I feel a hand grab my shoulder, I turn slowly to see people from Minakawa grabbing ahold of me as they begin to drag me down. I close my eyes as tears start flowing out. I'm buried inside the body of corpses and skeletons, giving up and accepting my fate.

In the underworld

Sirzechs was currently pacing back and forth as Grayfia walked in.

"He's not buried in their is he?"

"No, we've gotten confirmation by our scouts"

"Are we the only ones that know about it?"

"Only us and Rias and her peerage, excluding her nekomata"

"I see, I was certain I saw his body disappear when he was shot in the head"

He sat down in a chair as he rubbed his chin before he thought of something.

"Grayfia, we were recording the aftermath of his attack weren't we?"

"Yes we did, why do you ask?"

"Let me see the footage, I got a feeling about something but I need to make sure of it"

"Y/n"

I could hear a voice calling out for me.

"Y/n, don't die on me"

I don't want to, but they want me to atone for what I did.

"Y/n, I won't let you die, I swear on my life I won't let you die you hear me!!"

Who is it?

"So I was correct"

"What is it?"

I point to Grayfia in the monitor.

"A... transporting circle?"

"Yes, if he was able to teleport, there's a chance of him being alive"

I put my chin on my hand as I look in astonishment.

"Wow, to think he's learned how to use one of those though?"

I get up and walk to my wife.

"Get more scouts, we'll look for him, he may be in serious business"

"As you wish"

Please, stay alive Y/n.

My eyes shoot open as I feel a pain in my stomach. A hand punched through it, trying to pull my heart out. The pain was unbearable but it let's go. All the hands holding me down let me go. As I was wondering what was going on, I was being pulled up to the surface.

"I won't let you die on me, please wake up, I'll do anything"

I... I want to live!!!

I close my eyes as a bright light begins robbing me of my sight.

I open my eyes and see my ceiling. I can hear the birds chirping outside. I can move around a bit.

I'm... alive?

I was currently in my little apartment.

You've awakened Young Master?! Thank goodness.

Erebus.

I look down to see a hand on my chest. I look over to see Kuroka, tired as shown by the sweat beads in her forehead.

"Kuroka?"

She looked at me exhausted as she smiled.

"You're awake"

She gently hugged me as she started to shake a little. I looked at her to see she was crying. I rub her head as I thank God I was currently alive. I gently pull her away as I help clean the tears out of her face. I see bandages over my body as I sit up.

"What happened, I thought I was in a battlefield?"

"I don't know either, I was in your house making myself something to eat when I heard a loud bang behind me"

She finally cleaned of the tears as she looked at me.

"Then I saw you on the floor covered in arrows"

I hugged her as I sensed she was going to start tearing up again.

"I-I didn't know what to do, you had an arrow on your head-"

"Don't worry about that arrow, I protected you from it"

We both look to the sword as it was leaning up against a wall.

"You protected me?"

"Yes, I could set up the armor fast enough to protect you from it so I made sure nothing would hit your heart and brain by projecting part of the armor into those places"

I look down to see a small piece of metal with an arrow on it.

"They are covered with an anti-dark matter poison, it's currently inside your body, being in your weak state, your body is having a tough time fighting off the poison"

"What do I do?"

"You need your energy to increase, your chakra needs too increase but it's currently low due to the damage you took, apart from that, it exponentially dropped your life energy, I told you to be careful regarding using our Juggernaut Drive"

"I knew the consequences, I paid for it but now that just means I have to work extra hard on defeating my opponents faster before I die"

Kuroka looked down, debating with herself before she looked up at me.

"Y/n, there's something I have to tell you"

"What is it?"

"I am a senjutsu user"

"A what?"

"They are a type of user that can control chakra ki flow, you are one Kuroka?!"

"I am, there's a way to revitalize your life energy"

"Really?! It be great if you can help me out with it then"

I say grabbing onto her hands.

"Sure"

"Great, so what is it?"

She pushes to the wall and lays on my chest.

"It's called Bouchujutsu"

"What do we have to do?"

She twiddles with her fingers a bit before looking up.

"Having sex"

I'm caught of guard by it but relax myself.

"I never thought I'd ever see you so nervous before"

"I'm not... it's just.. I like you and I don't want to mess anything up"

She likes me?!

Were you not aware of it? Even I could tell.

Shut up.. I love Koneko but... I won't act like her feelings don't exist.

I hug her and look at her directly in her eyes.

"I want to try it"

"You... will?"

"Of course, I'd be rude of me not to accept the feelings of someone who desperately tried to keep me alive"

I look away for what I'm about to say.

"And I can't help but feel the same"

I say really fast. She caught what I said though, causing her to grow a big grin.

"Then let's get started"

I get up before we start and grab Erebus and throw him in a closet outside the room.

"Rude"

"I need some private time buddy"

I close the door and make my way towards Kuroka who was standing in the doorway.

"I'll lead, you follow"

"As you wish"

Kuroka wraps her arms around my neck as my eyes show me something else.

No, tonight I'll forget about her...

I kiss Kuroka as I close the door.

I'll forget all about her.

Alright, so this is along the lines of a filler chapter that translates into Vol 2. Now, these next 5 chapters will be a straight up recovery chapters. I know people are gonna complain about what happened at the end there (I honestly don't really care anymore) but trust me, I've got it all set up for being a Koneko story so relax, have a massage, have some coffee or coco or whatever you like. Anyways, I hope you all stick around for these slower, upcoming chapters before the official end of Vol 1. Again, remember Vol 2 is Nov.
