I release to grip I had on my sword's hilt as I turn my attention towards Kuroka.

"What do you want, I'm busy"

"Busy? With what? Running away"

"Like your one to talk"

"Hey?!"

"What do you want to talk about, and spit it out fast before I start walking away"

"I'd like for you to come with me, you see, there's someone who'd like to meet with you"

"Not interested"

"Not giving you a choice"

I look up to see a guy about the same age as me with grayish hair on top of a building.

"And who's going to stop me"

I immediately start charging into my berzerker form.

It seems he wants to pick a fight Young Master? It would be rude of us not to teach this brat a lesson don't you think?

"Exactly what I was thinking"

He jumps down and transforms into a similar armor to Issei's juggernaut drive.

He were about to square up before Kuroka jumps in between us with her arms extended.

"Wait!! We are here in peace Vali, or did you forget what Azazel said?"

He looks at her and deactivates his armor off.

"Fine, I'll be leaving then, I still need to pay a visit to the red dragon emperor anyways"

He takes off as my curse marks fade away.

"I'll meet him, but if at any point I don't like what he's saying, I'm leaving"

"Good, that's all I need"

She creates a similar portal to Akeno's, teleporting us to a fancy room as a man with black and blonde hair sits in a chair near the fire.

"We'll look who showed up"

He closes his book before chucking it into the fire.

"Are you Azazel?"

"Yes, that is me"

He stands up and offers to shake my hand. I refuse to shake it as he pulls his hand back.

"Well, friendly are we?"

"I'm not here for games, what do you want"

"Straight to it, I like it"

He turns and starts pouring himself a bottle of wine as Kuroka sits on the sofa before he turns to me.

"So it seems some of my men have been taking things into their own hands"

He drinks a bit, savoring every ounce as he offers me a drink.

"No thanks"

"Anyways, I can tell you are very powerful and have noticed that you've left Rias peerage if I'm correct"

"News seems to get out really fast doesn't it?"

I put my hand on my sword.

"Or perhaps"

I start pulling my sword out.

"You've been spying on me the entire time, now depending on how you answer it, I'll take your head off if I don't like it"

Kuroka was going to stop me but Azazel halts her.

"It's okay, I'll tell him everything"

He puts his drink down before offering me to sit. I remain standing as he sits back.

"I've had an eye on you since you arrived to Kuoh, the magical energy you had was borderline demon lord but it was dormant and locked up. Now I knew I couldn't even try and talk to you since I had problems of my own that I had to deal with so I let you wander for a bit while having someone keep an eye on you. Then, you got yourself killed and joined Rias and her peerage by luck"

"What do you mean luck?"

"Since your powers were so heavily restrained, she was able squeeze you into her peerage without giving up a lot of pieces like she did with dragon boy"

I remember Issei saying he took up 8 of her pawns before, interesting.

"If you were to be in the position you are in right now, firstly you wouldn't have died to that fallen angel, and secondly, you could own your own evil pieces if you'd like"

"My own... evil pieces"

"Yes, your power currently is comparable to that of Archangel Michael, Sirzechs and all the Demon lords, if you wanted to, you could ask for a set from Sirzechs, I'm sure he'd give you one given your power"

He leaned a little closer.

"Your potential could even exceed his strength"

He stands up and walks up to me.

"Now Y/n, I'd like to make you an offer"

"What's the offer?"

"Join me, join me in making sure we can keep Kuoh safe, what do you say?"

"Are you joking me?"

"Completely serious"

"I just left Rias peerage to be free, why would I join you and get my freedom snatched from me again?"

"You'll be free to roam as-"

"I'm not talking that freedom, I don't need someone bossing me around, I'll take care of rouge fallen angels on my own, if that's all you wanted to talk with me then I'll be taking my leave"

Before I walk out I turn to him.

"Control your fallen angels and keep on a leash. I'll hunt down every demon, fallen angel or anything supernatural that falls into that category that attacks a human. They have no means to protect themselves so I'll be there protector, if I find out you got a hand in this, I'll come for your head"

"Trust me, I got no hand in that what so ever, before you leave, I'd like to ask you one more thing?"

"What?"

"I'm sure Rias told you about a meeting between the three faction leaders am I correct"

I stay silent.

"I'd like you to be my guest, my... bodyguard if you'd like, what do you say"

"... When is it?"

"In a couple of weeks from now, I'll send Kuroka to fetch you, where could I find you?"

"Don't worry about that, I'll find her"

I walk out the room and wait for Kuroka.

"Oh, you're still here"

"Teleport me back"

"You don't want me to leave you at the destination you were heading towards?"

"No, I need to walk there to clear my mind"

"..."

She looks down as she creates a portal back.

"You know.."

"Spill it"

"I don't think Shirone-"

"Don't bring her up"

I stop walking as I turn to her.

"I was going to leave them regardless if what occurred didnt happen"

"What?! Why were you going to leave them?"

"I had a talk with someone who knows about me, warning me of a coming attack to me and anybody who's close to me"

"Who'd be attacking you?"

"Some people who my dad hurt, apparently they've been creating an army with very powerful weapons"

She looked in shock as she thinks of the impending problem that is coming.

"Then-"

"Koneko and the rest would have been caught in the cross fire of all this... I'm planning on going back to Minakawa, my home, to say my goodbyes to my family should I not survive this"

I look at my gauntlet hand as I power it up a bit.

"Are you saying that you dont even think that with this power you'll be able to defeat them?!"

"Yes"

She falls to the ground before grabbing my hand.

"Please... I know I have no right to ask you this because of what happened but please, keep Shirone safe"

"Don't worry, I'm taking the battle to them, they are still a month away so I got time to think of a strategy to take them on, I'll try to keep the battle away from Kuoh"

"Thank you"

"I got time, get up"

She looks up at me as she clears her tears.

"I owe you for letting me sleep on your lap for as long as I did, I'll treat you to something"

She smiles as she gets up happily.

"I'll show up for that little meeting but I'll be away for a couple of weeks before the meeting happens"

"Where are you going?"

"There's a part on the outskirts of Kuoh that's being attacked by stray fallen angel. They are killing innocent people, men, women, children. Ill annihilate the threat but it'll take me a couple of weeks"

I look at my clothes.

"I'll need to get rid of these as well, I no longer have ties to this school anyways, there's some clothes in my old home that my father's brother used to wear"

"Are you going to use them?"

"My father did say I used to be just like him"

"Well, I'll wait for you when the time comes for the meeting.. now to choose where to eat"

"Don't waste all my money either"

Hours later

That's the last time I invite her to eat.

"Did I really just spend $200 to eat"

I facepalm.

Worry not Young Master, we'll get her back eventually.

"Whatever"

I look up and see a lot of police tape surrounding some trees in a forest.

"Guess we're here"

I slice the tape and walk through to find the remains of Minakawa from the great fire that consumed most the houses. The remains after my berzerker attack. I walk through the ruins of a once beautiful village until I arrive at my old home. I open the door and walk in.

"I'm home"

I say getting some nostalgia before going towards the basement. Once in the basement, I crack open a wooden floorboard my father had put to cover up a chest. I pull out the chest and find my Uncle's old uniform he wore when he fought as the general for our army.

"Not bad huh, even had a place for my sword"

I look at myself in the mirror to check myself out.

"Guess I'll be leaving now"

I walk out to the top of a hill where I had buried my parents corpses as I have a few flores I had found on my way there. I place them over there graves as I pray and kiss the grounds they are buried beneath before taking a knee.

"Mom, Dad, I'll be heading towards a very difficult battle soon... I'm not sure if I'll make it out alive, I dont have anyone I can rely on anymore, no peerage, no nothing... no love"

I clutch my hand as I try to ignore the image that I had witnessed.

"If I don't come back then you probably know what the outcome was... I'm sorry I wasn't the perfect son, I'm sorry I couldn't save either one of you... but what I'll try to do from now on if I survive this, I'll protect the people of Kuoh who can't protect themselves, who got themselves wrapped up into this problem because of those devils and fallen angels.. I'll wipe all of them... all of them who harm the innocent, that I promise"

I get up and and say one final goodbye before leaving, waking my way back to Kuoh.

3 weeks later

The underworld

Sirzechs POV

"Grayfia, I hope you have my report"

"Indeed, it seems that the threat that was teport about the mass human murders by fallen angels and a couple of strays have stop piling up"

"I take it my little sister took care of them"

"No, it seems that a single man has taken out a threat that would of taken us months to take care of, in a single week"

Sirzechs stands up from his chair.

"A week?"

"Yes"

A smile grows on his face.

"Impressive, what about the other report"

"We've examined the card that was left behind by the intruder that Mr. L/n had fought during Lady Rias' rating game"

"And what of it?"

"I believe Mr. L/n, could very well be the key to unlocking a new type of magic, being he was able to summon a powerful warrior from it"

"I see, it's very sad that he is no longer in my sister's peerage"

"Indeed, she said she let him go for personal reasons"

"I respect whatever decision was made, it isn't my peerage. The meeting Grayfia?"

"The meeting will occur tomorrow after Lady Rias and her peerage conclude her daily curricular activities"

"Very well"

I hope this meeting goes well, we don't want another great war occurring once again.

Kuoh outskirts

"Please!! Don't kill me!!"

"And what is a human like you going to possibly do"

A lady was desperately holding onto her baby as she had seen her husband brutally murdered by a stray devil who is currently taunting her.

"First, I should kill you, just like I did to your little husband and after I'll have your baby, gouging its eye-"

He stops as a Kunai strikes him in the eye. He let's out a loud screech as it screams in pain. He is silenced by the slice of a sword to the neck as it slowly starts dying. The person puts his sword back into its sheath as he turns to the woman.

"Get out of here, this isn't a place for you to be in"

"B-but my husband-"

"He's dead"

Sirens are hear and in a blink the person dissapears.

Another demon down Young Master.

"Yea, another demon down, another step closer to cleaning this town from trash"

I jump down from the building I was ontop of and continue walking.

"Any minute now"

Do you mean-

"Yea, my way to Azazel, speak of which"

Up ahead of me, Kuroka laid down on a tree before noticing me.

"It seems that a lot happened while I was gone hunting down what they couldn't take care of, I'm ready for a meeting, what about you Erebus?"

I follow as you go Young Master.

"Good, this should be fun"

Another long one for you all, I hope you enjoy it so far. Vol 1 will officially be entering the last 10 chapters before I take a break from writing the Arms Around You. October will be featuring 1, maybe 2, of the new books I'll be putting out that you all voted from. Be sure to look put for that, but before I go, I'll give you all a little gift....
