Me and Koneko arrive back at the house. It was dark outside but I decided to pull her back before heading in. She giggles as I start kissing her neck. I bring my mouth to her ear.

"I'm not really ready to go in"

"Really?"

"Let's go for some dinner, just me and you"

She looks back at the door for a sec before pulling my arm as we head to a restaurant. When we arrive, it didnt take long for us to be seated. We sat by the window with the moonlight shining down upon us. A candle lit up the romantic mood as I fed her some chocolate I order as an appetizer while we wait for our food.

"Who knew I'd be ordering chocolate to start off in a restaurant'

"Hey, that's my favorite" she pouted in the most adorable way possible.

"Your so fucking adorable you know that" I grab her by the chin and bring her in for a kiss.

"I love you kitten" I said making her blush.

"Love you too my dear reckless boyfriend"

"Hey?! I am not reckless"

"Riser"

"That... was reckless, yea you're right I'm reckless, I'm always almost dead after every fight"

"Yea.. that scares me you know"

I look to see her sadden by what I said.

"Hey" I place my hand on her cheek.

"I'm okay, I'm to good at surviving to let that happen" I try joking a little.

"I dont like seeing you like that Y/n, on a table, almost lifeless and thoughts running through my head of maybe this time you might not wake up"

"It's only happened twice"

"Twice too many, you shouldn't be risking your life like that"

"Well if I dont who will? Someone has to be the one to protect everyone"

"We handle that as a team, this isn't some sort of solo act where you try and be a hero, if you die... I don't know what I'll do"

After that we were silent for a solid minute before our food arrived. We began eating when I decided to break the silence.

"I promise"

She looked up at me.

"I promise I'll try and prioritize me coming back alive from now on"

This seemed to have put a smile in her face.

"Good"

"Are we cool now"

"Yes"

"Alright, you got something there"

I clean up some sauce she had on her cheek with my thumb.

"Thanks"

"No problem"

We continue talking for a bit, spending about 3 hours laughing, making each other smile.

"Waiter, the bill please"

"So what does my kitten want to do now"

"Your kitten?"

I hear a very familiar voice behind me. I check the row behind me and see Rias, aswell as the rest of the crew.

"R-Rias?! What are you doing here"

"Well we saw you two weren't at home, so we decided to check up on the both of you to see if you were doing anything naughty"

I turn back and notice Koneko grow a large blush as she charges towards Rias.

"R-Rias we would never do that"

"Doesnt seem like it"

"We just decided to come here to eat"

"Its pretty obvious your dating" Xenovia stepped in the conversation.

"They what?!" Issei, clueless as ever, didnt realizes just yet.

"Dude, what about my harem?"

"Build it yourself" I slap the shit out of him, knocking him back into his chair.

"Koneko is mine and I ain't giving her up" I bring her into my arms, shielding her from him.

"Yours?"

"I-I'm willing to go against you as well if it means she's mine" I was a bit nervous since it is Rias we are talking about.

"Alright"

"Alright what?"

"Alright like.. we're fighting or alright she's yours?"

"If you can prove to me you can protect her and don't just break on us like you always do, then she's all yours"

I turn back to look at Koneko with confusion, I shrug my shoulders before looking back at Rias with determination.

"I'll always protect her Rias, I promise that"

"Well, you have my blessing"

Issei walks over to me and puts his arm around me.

"So you got Rias approval, congrats" he pats my chest.

"Yea"

He pulls me over to the side as Koneko goes with the girls and Kiba.

"So about my harem plan"

"If you say-"

"No no no!! Not bringing her up.. but I mean technically-"

I punch him in the gut.

"You have 4 other beautiful girls after you and you're concerned with mine"

"I was joking"

"*sighs* So what's the plan, which one are you mainly going for"?

"Huh?"

"I know you're gunning for a harem but still, you need to have one to prioritize one, like a queen and the mistresses"

"Oh, well I never thought of that"

"Starting thinking about it, that's why I never thought of having one, too much of a pain in the ass to deal with"

"I'll remember that, well let's go back to the girls or they'll think were up to something"

We head back to the table and I pay for the bill and sit with the rest of the club. The rest of the night was fairly normal, just normal conversation for about an hour and a half until we left for home.

"Hey, thanks for dinner" Koneko held onto my hand.

"No prob, I hadn't eaten either since I was knocked out"

"So what's the plan tomorrow Rias?"

"The usual, going to school, doing work, not much has changed other than you waking up"

"Has there been any problems with any of the other factions?"

"Not at the moment, we have a little something we are going to have to do"

"Do what?"

"Clean the pool"

"Clean the pool?! Why do we got to do that?"

"Its normally the student council's job but since Sona's peerage is going to be busy we'll be doing it"

"Will we atleast be using it?"

"Of course"

"In that case.. when do we start"

"On Monday"

"Wait won't homeroom teacher be asking where I've been?"

"You have nothing to worry about"

I put my hand on Koneko's head.

"Well atleast I'll be able to show my swimming skills"

"Umm.."

"What's wrong Koneko"

"... I dont know how to swim"

She says I'm a really low voice.

"Don't worry, I'll teach you"

She looked up at me with a smile and hugged my arm.

"How long has this been a thing?"

Akeno came to my left.

"What?"

"How long have you two have been you know, going out?"

I look at Koneko with a confused look and look back at Akeno.

"I don't think we've made it official right?"

"No, we just been keeping on the low"

"And when were you planning on telling us young man?"

Rias stood in front of me.

"Uh.. Whenever Koneko wanted to"

"Alright.. well anyways, get ready for Tomorrow.. and remember, get your swimsuit ready"

I stop in my tracks at the moment I hear those words.

"What's wrong?"

"Swim... suits?" A sliver of blood runs down my nose

"Pervert"

I don't even care.

A couple of pictures arrives in my head.

"He.. he.. I love it"

"I'll punch you if you're thinking about the rest as well"

"Never, I'm thinking of only you"

I put my hands up.

"Wait.. you were thinking of her in that swimsuit"

Akeno teased me.

"Okay can we just drop this"

Detention

"So you're wondering how I got here... a whole lot of bullshit"

"So you're telling me he got detention"

Rias was extremely angry but was trying her best to hold it in.

"*sighs* Idiot"

Koneko was disappointed that Y/n wasn't around to teach her.

"Do you still want to learn?"

She looked up to see Issei. She was thinking about it before deciding.

"Don't worry, I know Y/n, nothing to be jealous about, were bros" he smiled at her

"Alright, I guess"

"I'm teaching Asia as well so there's nothing to worry about"

A few hours later

I was sprinting towards the pool. I managed to finally finish my work for detention, and now I'm sprinting towards the pool, remembering the promise I made to teacher how to swim.

"IM HERE!!" I open the doors to the boys locker room and see no one.

I start changing my clothes as head to the pool to see something that felt like a stab in the gut.

I just stand in the shadow, nobody aware of my presence. I didn't know how to react other than heading back to the locker room, getting dressed and leaving the school pool.

"... Issei.." was the only thing I mustered to get out as I walked back home alone.

I've listened to your response for vol 2, so it looks like I'll be using the script I had ready for the series in case you guys wanted it to continue. I've found the perfect spot to continue to book to connect with the anime. Vol 1 will be wrapped up by the end of the month, possibly next month and after that I'll take a bit of a break from it and upload 1 maybe 2, of the 5 new books I've got stored in the ol book vault.
