~On the roof of an abandoned building~

"So, Miku died then. Pity, she was a good soldier" Ryu said not paying attention towards the men in from of him.

"That's it!!! Miku was one of your own, how dare you, you piece of sh-" before he could finish, the tip of a blade was placed on his throat, a drop of blood falling from it.

Ryu motioned his hand, signaling assassin to remove his dagger from his throat.

"You see how nice I am, if you were anybody else I would of had him kill you Amatsu"

"Bastard" he said holding his would.

"Now I know you, Miku, and your brother Rylo here, are part of my old village. That isn't the reason I kept you alive" he stood up walking behind him with a picture in hand.

"I let you live because you took care of my Y/n"

"I wish we left that bastard to die in the village!!!"

Ryu turned around with an angered expression.

"Well in that case, why don't I let one of you die aswell" he smiled.

"Bring it then you old fuck!!!" He got up grabbing his sword and rushed towards him.

Ryu stood in place allowing the incoming attacker to come closer.

"Haaa!!"

He swing was blocked with one finger. Amatsu was shocked at the action that had just transpired before him. Ryu grabbed and squeezed his hand until he dropped the sword. He then grabbed the back of his head and slammed it towards the ground, pinning him to floor.

"That was a bad move Amatsu, after giving you a place to stay, after giving you and your brother food, after protecting you" he shook his head.

"That's how you're going to pay me back after doing everything so that you and those other two could have a home"

"Just kill me already you piece of shit!!!"

"Hmm, that's not a good enough punishment" he looked at his assassin. The assassin nod and took his sword out of it's sheath.

"May this be a lesson to you, don't ever disrespect your master"

"Just kill me already"

The assassin did not walked towards him though. He walked towards Amatsu's younger brother, Rylo.

"Hey, leave him out of this, kill me!!! He didn't do anything!!!"

Amatsu tried to get out of Ryu's grasp but the amount of strength the old man had was incredible.

"Let go!!! Stop!!!"

Rylo was cornered to a wall begging for his life. But the assassin dug his blade into Rylo's chest, leaving him to bleed out.

"Hm, you could just have given him a quick death, but where's the fun in that I guess. Plus it makes for a cruel punishment for this young man's actions"

He looked towards Amatsu, who was completely destroyed after what he had witnessed.

"You see what you made me do, if you had kept your mouth shut this wouldn't of happened. I was planning on killing Miku for her actions since I do need my grandson alive"

He let go of Amatsu and sits back on his chair.

"Go take your brother with you, I'm busy planning on a new plan to capture Erubus, unless you'd like to join him" he waves at him.

Amatsu holds his brother in his arms and walks out of Ryu's office.

"I'm gonna kill your precious grandson and then I'll come for your head. Mark my words" he murmured.

"Y/n, I'll be retrieving you soon my grandson. You will full fill your destiny"

He looked out the window to see nothing but a yellow sky with destroyed buildings. A sign points out the city's name. Minakawa

"Erebus will awaken master" the assassin kneeled, lowering his head showing his respect towards Ryu.

"Tell the boys to get ready, we need to start training"

"Yes master" he stood up, bowed his head and left the building.

"We'll see who will come out on too then Gremory hehehe" he laughed before sitting down looking at a set of files with the Gremory household names.

"There weaknesses and strengths" he saw an interesting one behind the first one.

"Hmm, the nekomata"

A flashback to what happened on their first meeting occurred. Y/n taking a hit for her.

"Him doing that must mean he used Logan's Last Wish on her"

He rubbed his chin with his hand.

"How else would he have saved her, anyone using that form wouldn't react like that unless they used it"

He started thinking for a minute until an evil smile crept up his face.

"Now I know how to get to you boy, her death's what could trigger absolute corruption in your heart" with the grin in his face, he grabbed his coat before heading out the door down to the entrance of the old 8 story building.

"Mr. Ryu, how can we help you?"

"Get the car ready"

"Yes sir and where to?"

"To my son's house, I need to go pick something up"

"As you wish master" he said signaling for a car.

A black SUV pulled up in front of the entrance. The butler opened the door and Ryu entered and left.

On the left side of the building a clocked figure appeared.

"I'll get revenge for what you did to Rylo you son of a bitch"

Amatsu along with two other men behind him sneaked out of Minakawa on their way to the only place Ryu ever spoke about on the whereabouts on Y/n. Kuoh Academy.

Y/n POV

I opened my eyes to see nothing around me.

Darkness.

I was in that place again, this time though, my mother wasn't here. I pondered there for a bit until I started remembering her beautiful face.

"Wow, can't believe you really want to stay stuck here rather than out there, fighting for what you love"

I turn around to the familiar voice to see my father, nodding in disappointment. My eyes instantly start to tear up. The person I always looked up to, who always picked me up when I was down, the one who always believed in me no matter how stupid my ideas was.

"Want to sit" he said pointing at a bench behind him.

I got up and walked towards him, stopping just in front of where he was standing.

"My you've grown into a good man I see"

I didn't say anything and hugged him as hard as I could.

"Woah easy there or your mom will think you love me more than her" he said rubbing my head.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry I wasn't there to help the two of you!!" I cried my heart out to him but he continued to gently rub my head.

"Hey, it's not your fault alright" he said with his soft voice.

"What happened, happened because I didn't do my duty right as a Chief of the village and most importantly, as a father and man of the house"

I let him go and wipe my tears, sitting down next to him.

"I should of known what Ryu was planning the moment he gave you that sword" he put a hand on my back.

"Don't worry about what happened to us son, worry about those you have present with you right now"

He sat back on the bench looking upwards.

"You know why this place is black"

"The sword's dark power?"

"No"

I turned to my father with a confused expression.

"This is inside your mind, all the black is regret, pain, and sorrow"

I looked around, taking in my surroundings.

"Now that stroke of light up there, that little bit of light up there, that's your happiness. Everything that's meant a lot to you"

As you look up you see it filled with your most precious memories and people.

"Koneko, Rias, Issei, Nala, the rest of the club"

"Son, you have to let it go"

I look towards my father.

"Be happy, you listened to your mother and let people fill you with love, now listen to me"

He stood up and looked back at me.

"Stop blaming yourself for what happened, normally you would have beaten that assassin relatively easy if it wasn't for your mind being elsewhere... Stop thinking about the past"

He smiled before giving me a hug.

"It looks like it's my time to go too, just keep that in mind okay"

"Yes sir" I say with a bit of pain.

"Don't worry I'll be right here" he said pointing at my head.

"Mom pointed at my heart" I said smiling.

"Your mom will be in your heart, taking care of you through her motherly love. I'll be up here to make sure to guide you through life's toughest times whenever you need me"

He took a few steps back before a few hands came from behind him.

"How's my baby been" mom came looking towards me with a warm smile.

"He's good, he's heading back, he has a fight to win" he smiled proudly.

"Mom" I gave her a smile.

"Hey Y/n" dad spoke up.

"Yes?"

"I love you son"

"Love you too Dad"

He looked up and gave my mom a kiss before both looked back at me and waved me goodbye.

I opened my eyes again to see a roof over my head, feeling something soft under my head and a pair of melons over me now that I notice it.

"Oh good, you woke up now little master" Caster smiled towards me.

I instantly raised my head.

"Where are we?!"

"Calm down, it's good to see your okay now Y/n" Rias hugged me.

I could tell she was really worried from the relief in her eyes.

"It's good you're okay now" Asia came waving towards me.

"Wait, Akeno-"

"She's okay, I sent her to go fight not too long ago" she cut me off.

"Rias I need to ask you something?"

"Yeah, what is it?"

"How's Koneko"

"She's okay, she's with Issei, why do you ask"

"Oh uh, she told me she didn't feel that good earlier before the match so I wanted to make sure she was okay" I said with a huge blush on my face.

"Oh okay" she smirked walking back.

"If you feel good enough to go fight, I'd like to send you off as soon as I can"

I stood up and tied my swords back to my waist.

"I'm good to go"

"I need to send you to go help Koneko and Issei, I haven't heard from them in a bit but I can tell they are fine"

"I'll be on my way then, stay safe you two"

"No worries, me and Asia will be making a foward move to the enemy base, Akeno should be there to help"

"Take Caster with you, she can help so you don't have to waste much energy"

"Alright, thank you"

Caster came and rubbed my head a little.

"Okay little master, I'll take care of these two. Make sure you stay safe, and if you ever need me, only on serious times, use these command seals on your hand and I'll arrive in an instant, got it?"

"Yeah I got it"

I waved goodbye to them before heading to the gym where Issei and Koneko are supposed to be at.

"Please, tell me your okay Koneko" I say before taking off as fast as I could.

"Should we get that Caster person out?" Grayfia asked.

"No, he did summon her, technically she is considered a weapon of sorts" her husband responded.

"As you wish"

"Now let the game continue" he smiled as he laid his head on his hands.
