Battle of Gundam

When the meeting had concluded and dawn drew near, Sephira found herself concerned about the obvious lack of her personal guard. She was practically panicking as the sun started to touch orange rays to the horizon and the three tents were set up empty. She ran to the area of the camp where many turned Nimbi were and flipped open a few of the tents as she searched for a suitable replacement for Craven and Rauka. It took ten tents of older orcs and some humans before she located a male orc about the size of Craven.

"Get up. I need you to take my tents down." She told him. He obliged quickly and she continued to look through until she found a female. She ordered her to take down her own tent and the tent of the other orc before heading to meet her with her dragon.

Sephira was glad when she heard the orcs start to attack and she heard their battle cries and dragon roars as the Nimbi ran to mount their horses and dragons. She was ready and had hid her Duvendis mask in her golden male dragon's saddle before mounting him.

"Prepare for battle!" she commanded her panicking Captains with a calm authority that seemed to echo throughout the encampment. Eclorian was ready too and the hoards of Nimbi dragons rose against the Valkyri that descended into the camp with the ring of metal in the air. Sephira struggled not to use her battle cry when an orc Valkyri came racing at her slower gold dragons from above with its Vulture talons outstretched. She had to trance with her dragon to push him to avoid the talons, but it made the strong male orc's attack harder for her own body to avoid. She barely avoided his attack with her Duvendis short swords drawn and she was able to shove him from her dragon as her other two dragons defended her from the Vulture Raptor without using lethal force.

They relinquished the Vulture Raptor and were able to avoid injury as it raced to catch its rider and Sephira directed her dragon up to get out of the fray. She heard the familiar cry of her brother and tranced with Caius to target Eclorian.

Sorin could see Eclorian's fear from the other side of the battle field and he was shocked at the number of dragons that surrounded the grey cloaked druid. The Undine had gone around to get to Eclorian from behind but became preoccupied by the Captains that targeted them. Oryx came in contact with one of the seven dragons as Sorin stretched his bow to shoot quickly at the druid. His arrow was blocked by the two-headed dragon despite the speed it had been shot, and Sorin hissed in annoyance as Caius tore at the huge pale yellow dragon that blocked his descent towards the rider of the two-headed beast.

The sheer number of gold dragons was alarming as Craven directed Crow to get to Eclorian. Sorin and Caius had gone straight for him before the Captains had even gotten off the ground, but Craven had joined the ranks of Valkyri to avoid suspicion and he had flown from further away. Rauka was by his side and both of them were glad to be wearing their regular armor again and riding their familiar beasts.

Craven jumped down a dragon length onto one of the General's dragons and swung his blade strongly. He was surprised when the man was able to block his attack but he could feel the weakness in the man's arms as his body weight accompanied his larger blade and nearly overwhelmed the man. The General blocked Craven's blade with wide blue eyes as he no doubt realized he was outmatched and Craven tilted his blade swiftly around the General's to catch his side where his armour didn't cover. Craven's intimate knowledge of the Nimbi armour made it much easier to kill the General and he had taken out his dagger and stabbed the man in the side of his neck before he could utter a command to his dragon. His attack had only happened in a matter of seconds and Crow had taken on the next dragon that attempted to aid his General. Craven looked down at the dragon beneath him and his eyes were wide when he felt the dragon bend to his will and take him towards the Captain that was stabbing a blade towards Crow. The gold dragon swung around abruptly and Craven threw his dagger at the Captain. When it struck deep into his neck, the man stumbled back and his dragon's pause gave Crow the upper hand, sending the rider and dragon down to the ground. Craven searched for Sephira when he had a moment free of foes and he found her surrounded by Valkyri. He could tell she was holding back as she directed her dragons to hold back their dragons and instead of killing the dragon riders that launched at her she only threw them from her dragon with a few blunt strikes. There were three attacking her and Craven grimaced when two more joined them.

He had decided to aid her when he saw her let go and rip through two of the riders as her dragons choked the life out of the snake-like Canis dragons. He tried to direct the Valkyri away from attacking her, but Crow alerted him of a foe approaching quickly and he was forced to turn his attention on the gold dragon that came up from beneath the one he was on with his rider's sword raised as if to rake the belly of his dragon. He had the dragon quickly dodge by diving to the side.

Sephira was starting to get pissed as the Valkyri seemed drawn to her and her three young dragons that she was struggling to keep from getting injured by the larger Vulture Raptors and the venomous Serpent Canis dragons. She leaped onto the nearest orc dragon and he blocked her half-hearted strike letting her pull him in close.

"I'm Sviat and I'm on your side. Target the Grigori!" She hissed using her voices which made the orc stutter back. She stepped back to avoid an arrow from the orc's unit before stepping close to him again. "Pretend to knock me out and throw me from your dragon." She demanded to the dumbstruck orc. He did as she said and she pretended to go with his strike before falling. She tranced with her red-eyed female and caught her own body before the orc she spoke to called his squadron off and they followed him without question as Sephira's dragons followed her female and left the orc dragons relatively unharmed as they went. Sephira used her female dragon's eyes to make sure none of the Nimbi Generals or Captains were watching before she sat up and had her dragons take her higher as she looked down to see where Sorin and Caius had gotten.

She tranced with Caius in time to avoid the spear thrown from behind him and it struck and killed one of Eclorian's dragons as she shifted out of the way. She saw Craven out of Caius' eyes as he leaped down onto Eclorian's two headed dragon and was able to dodge his lightning attack. She avoided one of the dragons that blew fire at Caius and folded her wings to get to the second unscarred head that threatened to grab her mate from behind. Craven had looked back right as Caius' claws hooked into the scaled cheek of the dragon and the force of it pulled the two headed dragon down to the side. Craven braced where he stood and relinquished his balance in order to swing desperately at Eclorian who had tensed at the alarming sight of Caius whose jaw crunched down on the dragon's skull with bone-crushing force. Craven's blade caught Eclorian and he used his other arm as he was falling from the dragon to hook around his neck and take him with him. Eclorian tried to say a spell, but even in the air Craven was able to crush the life from him and if it weren't for Crow blocking one of Eclorian's other dragons that came rushing at him, he wouldn't have been able to kill the druid. He landed hard on his back on his gold dragon as Crow's feathers slapped across them with the momentum of the other dragon's attack. Eclorian's body landed on Craven and he wasn't sure if he was dead until his remaining dragons started wailing. Sephira was still in Caius' body when she felt Eclorian's dragons reaching out. She relinquished her hold on Caius even though she wasn't able to see where Craven went and wanted to see that he hadn't gotten hurt.

She returned to her body to see her dragons fighting to defend her from three Valkyri and she tried to have them flee and get to Eclorian's dragons. She reached out to the riderless dragons with a loud distress call that mistakenly called Caius too. Sorin saw Caius leave the two-headed dragon alive in confusion until he realized in horror that Sephira must be in trouble.

"Why are you just sitting there? Is battle too gruesome for you?" A Captain yelled in disgust after his dragon blocked one of the Valkyri while Sephira was distracted with controlling five or six dragons. She looked over to him in annoyance and he cocked his head when he thought he saw her eyes go white. She didn't have to trance very long to convince Caius to dispatch with the Captain.

"Of course not, Captain. I'm a warrior." She laughed right before Caius' jaw closed over the Captain and flew up over Sephira with the body in his mouth. She reached out to the Captain's dragon in time to use him to stop the Valkyri from attacking her from below, but the large lion-like Felis was able to crush the confused gold dragon in his sharp claws with a vicious bite on the neck.

Sephira was considering helping the orcs kill the rest of the dragons when she felt the presence of powerful magick as black clouds appeared ominously overhead. She tranced with Caius to get a better look while instructing her six gold dragons to keep her body safe from the Valkyri without using deadly force. Caius' sharp eyes located the two Grey Council members approaching with an overwhelming number of gold dragons. Both members had five dragons each. One of them rode a two-headed dragon like Eclorian and it was that one that pointed a silver sword at Leuthil before lightning struck him and Isis from the clouds as she tried to mesmerize the incoming dragons. Craven could hear Dawn's cry and the light from the lightning made him gasp and tense where he stood on Crow. The light was blinding and Sorin couldn't see for a few minutes after it pierced into his sensitive eyes. A gold dragon hurtled at him and though his arrow still stuck deep in the back of its mouth, he found its teeth crushing into him. If his armour was any thinner or if Oryx's antlers hadn't caught in the soft underside of its neck, Sorin knew he'd be dead. He could feel Sephira reach out and knew she saw him get hit. Caius didn't need Sephira to tell him to pull the gold dragon from his friend's antlers to save his rider's brother. He felt several arrows pierce into his back as he focused on saving Sorin. His bite on the dragon's braincase loosened its bite on Sorin and Sorin was able to get out of the mouth with only a few painful deep wounds near his collarbone and thigh.

Sephira abandoned her cover and turned all of her six dragons towards the Grey Council member that was closest. The one that controlled the lightning. Craven had gained two gold dragons and was taking on his dragons, but Dawn had Akeli aid Isis and Leuthil and Sephira nodded to let them know to retreat. She dove at Sorin and Oryx, but when she got there, she wrapped her arms around him and pulled his ring-daggers from his chest plate while her dragons pretended to bite Oryx's neck.

"Play dead, brother. You have to retreat." She told him as she pretended to slit his throat and his body collapsed as he tranced with Oryx and let out a heart-breaking sound that seemed to make the orcs freeze in shock. Sephira stepped over Sorin's body and leaped from Oryx as her blue-eyed male dragon caught her and Sorin was able to retreat with the Undine as Caius continued to tear at the gold dragons that were targeting Oryx despite the pain in his back from the arrows and spears that stuck deep in his hide.

Sephira watched as the Grey Council member furthest from her all the way on the other side of the battle field started causing a gold mist to rain from the sky. She knew that must've been Helios so that meant it was Jupiter who was still fighting Craven and he was alone as some of the Valkyri had fled at the sight of Sorin being 'killed'. When Jupiter's sword slit Craven's cheek, Sephira had made up her mind and she directed her dragons full force towards his. She barely held in the Duvendis screech as she grit her teeth and threw Sorin's daggers as soon as she was in range of the druid. It was enough to distract him, but the death of one of Craven's gold dragons made him howl in pain and Crow had to retrieve his body as the two-headed dragon bit into Crow's leg before Crow was able to push away and retreat. Sephira's dragons were numerous enough to take on Jupiter's five dragons when Craven sent his gold dragon to aid her and she stabbed her blade into Jupiter's two-headed dragon, using it to catapult herself into him. She aimed a kick at his midsection with Duvendis speed and it knocked the wind out of him as he fell on his back. She had her other blade at his throat, but lightning cracked from his silver blade that he swung at her and she dodged the blade itself but was paralyzed by the force of the burning lightning. She stumbled back and ripped her sword from the dragon to let herself drop onto her blue-eyed dragon. She knew she had one last chance when she caught sight of Caius gaining altitude as he focused his blue eye on her. She sent her magick to him and he sped towards Jupiter from high in the air as Jupiter tried to recover from the surprise of Sephim's attack. Sephira directed her dragons as fast as she could before she had to trance with Caius before her short window had closed. Two of her dragons got singed painfully when the blue flames erupted magnificently from Caius' open mouth directed at Jupiter and his injured two-headed dragon. She was glad her dragons all dipped out of the way as if she too had been fleeing from the Duvendis dragon. Jupiter's screams couldn't be heard over the sound of the roaring white blue flames, but when his remaining two dragons cried out, Sephira guessed he was dead.
