Chapter 29: Like Mother Like Daughter

Saturday morning, Dean walked Sasha out to her car.

"Look I know I said some thing last night.. but I didn't mean any of that. I'm doing fine here." Dean told her.

Sasha looked up at him with reluctance.

"Dean, come on. You guys need each other. Just come with me and you guys can fix things." Sasha pleaded with him.

"There's nothin' to fix. We were friends and now we're not, end of story." Dean said seriously.

Sasha shook her head in disapproval as she opened her drivers side door.

"And stop pretending to be something you not. It's kind of ridiculous." Dean told her.

Sasha let out a slight smile as she momentarily recognized the Dean she'd known from back home.

"Good luck, Dean." Sasha said as she got in the car and drove off.

In Arlington Heights, Becky was filling in for Paige at the cafe when Seth walked in with Miz and Alexa.

"Hey, babe." Becky said as she greeted him with a kiss on the cheek.

"Hey." Seth said as he smiled down at her.

"Three coffees?" Becky asked.

"Yes, please." Alexa said as they all sat down.

As Becky walked away, Roman entered the cafe with Brie and Mandy. He stopped in the doorway when he saw Becky. Seth glanced up from his table and watched Roman for a moment.

"Babe." Brie said as she grabbed his hand, hoping to bring him back to reality.

Mandy looked down uncomfortably as Roman intertwined his fingers with Brie's. He let out a slight smile as she lead him to a table on the other side of the cafe. Mandy reluctantly followed along and sat down with them. Roman seat have him a direct eye line Seth which only made things more awkward.

"Here you guys go." Becky said as she brought coffees to Seth, Alexa and Miz.

Just as Becky began to walk away Nikki made her way into the cafe. She looked over at Roman awkwardly for a moment before walking to Seth's table.

"Hey, Becky I've been meaning to talk to you." Nikki said as she sat down.

"You have?" Becky asked as Seth looked over at Nikki in confusion.

"Me and the girls are going shopping for homecoming dresses after school tomorrow if you want to come?" Nikki asked her.

Becky stared at Nikki for a moment at a loss for words.

"Um.." Becky began to say as she looked at Seth for help.

"She'd love to." Seth said.

Alexa took a big sip of her coffee, not feeling comfortable with Nikki's invitation.

"Who all is going again?" Becky asked curiously.

"Me, Lexi, Brie, Mandy, Carmella, Bayley,Renee, Paige and I invited Sasha." Nikki told her.

"She's coming?" Alexa asked curiously.

"I think so." Nikki said as Becky looked down uncomfortably.

"Are you sure I should come? I wouldn't want to intrude-." Becky began to say.

"Yeah, it'll be fun." Nikki told her.

Becky let out a reluctant smile.

"Okay, I'll be there." Becky told her before walking away.

"That shopping trip is going to be a total nightmare." Miz commented.

"Why would it be?" Nikki asked.

Miz let out a small laugh as Alexa and Seth brought their attention to him.

"Well for starters, you just invited your ex boyfriends new girlfriend.." Miz began to say.

Nikki and Seth looked at each other oddly.

"Then if Sasha is going, you two haven't really been talking, have you?" Miz asked Alexa.

"No." She said.

"Then there's the fact that Mandy slept with Roman when he was with Becky. Not to mention the fact that Brie is with Roman now... this whole things just has bad news written all over it." Miz said.

"Well damn. I guess I didn't really think this through, did I?" Nikki asked.

"I think it will be fine." Seth said as he took a sip of his coffee.

Across the cafe, Becky reluctantly approached Romans table.

"Hi, guys. What can I get for you today?" Becky asked as she tried her best to avoid eye contact with Roman.

"Three coffees." Mandy told her.

"And biscuits and gravy?" Brie asked Roman.

Becky looked down awkwardly as Mandy corrected Brie.

"Chocolate chip pancakes for him." Mandy told Becky.

Roman looked at Brie and Mandy uncomfortably, not wanting to tell them he didn't like either of those things. Without thinking, Becky added her own two cents.

"Three coffees with an order of blueberry pancakes and an orange juice?" Becky asked.

Roman glances up at her nervously as he let out a small nod of approval. Brie tucked her hair behind her ear in attempt to hide her discomfort as Becky walked away.

After going to the back and giving the guy in the back the orders, Becky walked back out to the counter to add up their bills.

"Hey, Becky.." Renee said as she walked in and sat down at the counter.

"Morning." Becky said a she noticed Renee looked around the cafe.

"Where's Paige?" Renee asked.

"She called in this morning. I'm filling in for the day." Becky told her.

Renee face filled with disappointment t when she realized Paige had lied to her again.

"Right. I totally forgot about that." Renee tried to play it cool.

"We'll have two coffees, please." Aj said as she approached the counter.

Renee looked over at Aj awkwardly for a moment.

"Coming right up." Becky told them.

Aj glanced over at Renee for a moment.

"Thanks for the other night." Renee said casually.

"Anytime. I'm always just a call away." Aj told her.

Renee let out a slight smile to Aj as Becky brought them their coffee.

"Hey, do you know what my favorite band is?" Aj asked curiously.

"I wanna say Lake Street Dive or the Bahamas?" Renee asked.

"Close.." Aj began to say.

"Wait. It's Alabama Shakes." Renee corrected herself.

"That's right." Aj said as she let out a small laugh.

"Why did you want to know? Did you forget?" Renee joked.

Aj continued to laugh as Renee admired her smile.

"Your favorite band is Oasis and your favorite song is Wonderwall." Aj told her.

Renee glanced at her in confusion for a second.

"Your favorite color is red but not just any shade, you like classic cola red." Aj continued.

"Aj, what-?" Renee began to ask.

"You go to church every Sunday with your parents but you barely make it through without nodding off. And you love wearing those girly little skirts of yours because they make you feel more feminine. When you're about to lie your voice hesitates and if it's a really big lie you stutter." Aj went on.

Renee was so surprised by what Aj was telling her that she didn't know what to say.

"You're a little bit of a girly girl but deep down your actually kind of nerdy. And I know that you'd probably rather spend your night's in bed writing rather than getting wasted at some party... Oh, and you're allergic to peanuts but your favorite food is a classic pepperoni pizza but you tell everyone else that it is salad which is funny because I've seen you eat salad and all you do is eat the croutons." Aj told her.

Renee started at Aj in disbelief a she accidentally let out a slight smile.

"How did you know all of that?" Renee asked.

Aj faced Renee and paused for dramatic affect.

"Because I listen to you, Renee. I pay attention." Aj said as she looked into her eyes.

"Wow. It's like eight in the morning and you're already hitting on me. You've gotta let me get my coffee first." Renee told her.

Aj waited as Becky bought out their coffee's

"Here you go." Becky said as she looked at them awkwardly.

Renee took a sip of her coffee while Aj watched her.

"I'm just curious because I've known you for less than a month and I know all of that about you... Yet you and your girlfriend have been friends for years and what does she know?" Aj asked.

Becky was trying her best not to ease drop so she walked to the back and waited for her next order to get done.

"You underestimate how much she cares about me." Renee tried to defend Paige.

"Or maybe you overestimate how much she cares about you." Aj said as she took a sip of her coffee.

Renee threw down a five dollar bill and got up.

"Thanks for the coffee, Becky." Renee said before storming off.

Becky let out an awkward smile from the back.

"Order's up!" The cook yelled.

Becky let out a sigh and grabbed the food. She walked out and cautiously approached Roman's table.

"Three coffee's." Becky said as she handed Roman, Brie, and Mandy their beverages.

Roman couldn't take his eyes off the table, trying his best not to look at Becky.

"And here's the blueberry pancakes with an orange juice. And I heated up the syrup like you usually-." Becky began to tell Roman.

"I'm not actually hungry anymore." Roman said as she pushed the plate across the table.

Becky glanced down at him for a moment as he continued avoiding eye contact with ehr.

"Uh- Yeah, okay.. I'll just take this back then." Becky said as she took the food.

Mandy couldn't help but feel bad for Roman but Brie couldn't shake the feeling of jealousy. As Roman took a sip of his coffee, he couldn't shake the tightness in his chest. Suddenly, Mandy reached under the table and rested her hand on his. Roman glanced over at her as his chest began to feel a little lighter.

After Becky took Roman's food back she returned to the counter to finishing adding up their bills. She glanced over and accidentally saw Roman and Mandy holding hands under the table. In that moment she remembered how hurt she was she found out he cheated on her. Becky watched Brie for a moment as she played on her phone, completely oblivious to what was happening. Becky felt a sharp pain in her chest as she grabbed her phone and text Dean.

 "I need you."

     -Becky

Tears filled her eyes as she watched her phone hopelessly, knowing that he wasn't going to reply.

"Becks?" Seth asked as he approached the counter.

She quickly wiped the tears from her eyes and faked a smile.

"Hey, babe? What's going on?" Becky asked him.

"I was just waiting on the check. Is everything okay?" Seth asked.

"Yeah. Um.. You're check is right here." Becky said as she handed him a small piece of paper.

"We're still on for tonight, right?" Seth asked her.

"Yeah, I can't wait." Becky said as she let out a sincere smile.

Seth reached over the counter and grabbed her hand, knowing that kissing her in front of Roman would have been rude.

 "Love you." He told her.

"Love you too, babe." Becky said as he walked backwards slowly.

Later that day, Brie and Roman were walking through the square when sat down on a bench.

"Hey, I'm sorry about back at the cafe. I just.. I can't help but react that way when she's around." Roman apologized.

"It's okay, I get it." Brie said awkwardly.

"It's the second I start to think I'm moving on.. Just when I think I'm doing better, I see her and it all comes back. My chest tightens up and I can barely breathe. And I don't know if I am still supposed to be heart broken or if I'm supposed to hate her but I can't help but want her to just change her mind. It's like I'm waiting for her to tell me she made a mistake and she still wants me." Roman said.

Brie tried to fight back tears as she tucked her hair behind her ear.

"Roman-." Brie tried to stop him.

"Fuck. I'm being such an ass right now.." Roman said when realized Brie was crying.

"No.. It's okay. I just- I'm trying to be here for you but how is this supposed to work if you're not over her?" Brie asked him helplessly.

"Brie, I'm trying." Roman said as he grabbed her hand.

Brie looked into his eyes desperately.

"This isn't what we are supposed to be, Roman.." Brie told him.

Roman's eyes filled with tears as Brie pulled her hands away from him.

"We were best friends and you were supposed to wake up one day and realize that I am the girl of your dreams.. But instead you fell in love with her." Brie said.

"Come on, don't do this." Roman begged as she got off the bench.

"I left because I couldn't stay here and see you with her. But when I came back I thought things were going to be different. I thought we would have a second chance.." Brie continued.

"This is our second chance, Brie." Roman assured her.

"No.. You're still in love with her, Roman. And I'm not going to be some kind of crutch for you to hold onto, I'm better than that." Brie told him.

Roman stood up and faced her.

"Whether you want to believe it or not, I am your endgame. You and me would be perfect together but you need to get your shit together in order for that to happen." Brie told him.

Roman was upset by what he was hearing but he couldn't help but admire her honesty.

"So I think we need to put this on hold... Let me know when you know what you want, Roman." Brie said before walking away.

Roman stood there in disappointment as he watched Brie leave.

That afternoon, Luke had convinced Seth to go on a fishing trip with him out at the River.

"I don't know about this.." Seth said as they got out of Luke's truck.

Luke looked out at the river and took in the view.

"You don't like fishing?" Luke asked.

"I've never really done it before." Seth said as Luke grabbed the fishing poles from the back of the truck.

"Well, I think you'll like it. Grab the cooler." Luke told him.

Seth did what he said and followed him out to the bank.

"Here, put this on your hook." Luke said as he handed Seth a worm.

Seth jumped back in fear of the worm.

"You've never seen a worm before?" Luke laughed.

"I have but.. You want me to touch it?" Seth asked.

"You've gotta put it on the hook." Luke told him.

Seth gave Luke the most uncomfortable look as he held up the end of the pole for him.

"Maybe I can just throw it in without the worm. One of those fish are bound to accidentally get caught on the hook, right?" Seth asked him seriously.

Luke tilted his head in confusion for a moment.

"You realize Becky had been out here several times with me and Dean. She's never had a problem putting a worm on her hook." Luke said.

Seth let out a deep breath, realizing he wasn't getting out of doing this.

"I'm sorry, little guy." Seth said as he cautiously grabbed the worm.

Luke watched in amusement as Seth reluctantly slid the worm on the hook.

"Ah!" Seth yelled in a panic as he jumped back.

"There you go, good job." Luke laughed.

"Are you sure Becky's done that? Maybe you gave her one of those fake ones.." Seth asked.

"Nope." Luke said as he handed Seth his pole.

Seth shook his head, and took the pole.

"So I just set the hook in the water?" Seth asked as he dipped his pole in the water without throwing the reel out.

"This is gonna be a long day, isn't it?" Luke asked himself as Seth got his pole caught in the moss.

At Carmella's house, Corey approached the front door as her father walked outside.

"Good morning, Sir." Corey greeted him.

"Hey, Corey. How are you today?" Carmella's father asked.

"I'm good. Is she inside?" Corey asked.

"Yeah.. Um, I know you guys were supposed to study today but she's not really feeling well." He said with an akward look on his face.

"Is she okay?" Corey asked in concern.

"Yeah, you can go on inside but she may not be in the mood study." Her father said.

"Okay. Have a good day at work." Corey said as he made his way inside.

He father smiled back at Corey before making his way out to his car.

"Mella?" Corey asked as he walked upstairs.

He made his way into her bedroom to find her in bed with a heating pad on her stomach.

"I thought I text you? I'm really in the mood to study." Carmella told him.

Corey looked at her for a moment, examining her behavior.

"You're on your period, aren't you?" Corey asked her.

Carmella looked at him awkwardly frm her bed.

"I grew up with two older sisters, okay? I know when a girls menstruating." Corey said as he put down his bag.

He at down on the chair next to her bed and pulled out his phone.

"Do you have usually use mydol or tyloneol?" Corey asked her.

"Ib profein." Carmella said curiously.

"And are you stocked up on tampons or do you need more? Corey asked as he made himself a shopping list.

"Corey!" Carmella yelled out in embarrassment.

"Come on, this is natural okay? You don't need to be embarrassed." Corey told her.

Carmella looked at him comfortably for a moment.

"My dad will be home later, he can pick some up on his way home from work." Carmella said.

 "What brand?" Corey asked her.

Carmella hesitated for a moment.

"Tampax Pearl, regular." Carmella said bashfully.

"Okay, and what snacks do you want?" Corey asked her.

"Chocolate ice cream, a large jar of peanut butter, a bag of Cheetos, and a box of crackers. I don't why but I always crave salty crackers." Carmella told him.

"Okay, and I'll stop by the diner and pick you up your usual order, is that fine?" Corey asked her.

Carmella smiled up at him for a moment.

"Yeah.. That's fine." She said happily.

Corey looked over and noticed her tv was off.

"Don't you want to watched Netflix?" Corey asked her.

Carmela sat up awkwardly.

"Um.. My dad used most of his paycheck for the bills so we couldn't pay for Netflix this month." Carmella said awkwardly.

"Okay, no big deal." Corey said as he turned on the tv.

"What are you doing?" Carmella asked as he signed out of Netflix.

"I'll just sign in to my account so you watch what you want." Corey told her.

Carmella watched him in disbelief at how kind he was being.

"What do you wanna watch? The O.C?" Corey asked her.

"Yes. That sounds perfect." Carmella said as she let out another smile.

"Okay, I'll be back in about a half an hour. Call me if you think of anything else you need." Corey told her.

Carmella got a warm, fluttery feeling in her chest as Corey left the room.

"Damn." Carmella said to herself as she threw her head back on her pillow.

Across the street from the cafe, Nikki casually walked into the apartment building and approached Artem's door. Before she could knock he opened the door.

"Hey." She said as she held two coffee cups in her hand.

"Hey, um.. I didn't know you'd be by today?" Artem asked her.

"Oh, do you have plans? I can go if-." Nikki began to tell him.

"No, stay." Artem replied instantly.

Nikki stopped and looked at him for a moment before they both let out a smile. Artem opened the door all the way and let her inside.

"Coffee?" Nikki asked as she handed him his cup.

"Thanks." Artem said as he looked down at her.

Nikki's stomach filled with butterflies as Artem observed her lips.

"Muffins." Artem blurted out in attempt to ruin the moment.

Nikki looked up at him in confusion as he rushed into the kitchen.

"I'm going to make muffins. You like muffins, right?" Artem asked in a bit of a panic.

Nikki smiled to herself, admiring how nervous he was around her.

"Yeah, I like muffins." Nikki said as she sat down at his counter.

Out at the river, Seth and Luke were sitting on the bank, waiting for a fish to bite.

"My dad never did anything like this with me.." Seth told him.

"Yeah, I can tell." Luke joked.

Seth let out a laugh as Luke handed him a beer.

"Really?" Seth asked.

"Just one won't hurt. Dean never listened to me when I told him no beers so I guess it's only fair that I let you have one." Luke said.

Seth looked down uncomfortably for a moment.

"So what's his deal anyway? Why did he leave town?" Seth asked curiously.

"I don't exactly know.. but after talking to him on the phoen a few days ago I think I have a pretty good idea." Luke said as he looked out at the river.

"He answered your call?" Seth asked.

"Yeah. He called me when he first went back then I called the other day to check in." Luke told him.

"Huh.. I know Becky had been trying to text and call him but he's not replying.." Seth tried to think to himself.

Luke glanced over at Seth, trying his best not to get involved in whatever was going on.

"I think you two got off on the wrong foot." Luke said.

"Yeah, tell me about it." Seth laughed.

"I think you guys are a lot more alike than you think. I mean I get that Will abandoned him and my sister but you and your mother didn't get the best side of things either." Luke said as he took a sip of his beer.

"How do you mean?" Seth asked.

"I'm just saying that your father has his problems. Maybe there were some things that happened in the past that he couldn't get over and he;s taking it out on you guys.." Luke told him.

"What things?" Seth asked him.

Luke looked over at Seth awkwardly.

"Just things.." He tried to get out of explaining himself.

"It wouldn't happen to have anything to do with Anna, would it?" Seth asked.

Luke looked back out at the river, trying to be careful what he said.

"Look it's not really my place-." Luke began to say.

"I know they dated.. right?" Seth asked.

Luke paused for a moment and tried to hide his discomfort.

"That was a long time ago." Luke told him.

"What happened between them anyway? Because Becky told me about their whole affair and I thought maybe they ended things because she was married to James.. But they ended up getting divorced and now Anna isn't with either of them. I just don't get how she ended up alone in all of this?"Seth asked.

Luke tried to fight back tears as he took a big sip of his beer.

"I'll just say that Anna cared about both of them very much. And she might of let her feelings get the better of her but she never meant hurt either of them. She didn't meant to hurt anyone.." Luke told him.

Seth watched Luke for a moment with skepticism.

"What about you? Weren't you guys pretty close?" Seth asked curiously.

"That's a story for another time. We should probably get back." Luke said as e got up and reeled in his pole.

At Carmella's house, Corey returned to her room with a grocery bag and her food from the diner.

"Two small fries?" Carmella asked as he handed her food to her.

"Yeah." Corey laughed.

Carmella let out a satisfying as she pulled out her burger. Corey sat his grocery bag on the bed and dug through it.

"I got you ib profein, tampons, chocolate ice cream, cheetos, crackers, and I got some green tea if you want to try that? My sisters always said it helped with the cramps.

"You're a life saver, you know that?" Carmella asked him.

"And.. I know this may be a little too much but I made you a mixtape." Corey told her.

Carmella took a big bite of her burger and laughed as he pulled out and cassette.

"Oh my god." Carmella said in amusement.

"And I brought my walkman for you to borrow." Corey said as he handed it to her.

"Wow. Welcome to the 80's." Carmella said as she examined the walkman.

"I'll leave you be, I know you probably want to be alone." Corey said as he headed for the door.

"Or you could stay?" Carmella asked him.

Corey looked back at her for a moment.

"I might need some help eating all these snacks." Carmella told him.

Corey let out a slight smile and walked over as she made room for him on the bed.

At the diner, Bayley as getting  milkshake to go when she saw Kyle sitting with Adam. He waved her over but Bayley seemed a little reluctant. Bayley walked over to their table as Kyle scooted over to make room. Adam watched uncomfortably as Kyle and Bayley smiled at each other.

"Are you busy tonight?" Kyle asked her.

Bayley looked at him curiously for a moment.

"Not really, no.." Bayley said as Adam looked at Kyle in annoyance.

"We're going to the movies with Miz and his girl if you wanna come." Kyle said.

"Like a double date?" Bayley asked him.

Adam shook his head in disapproval.

"Yeah, I guess it would be, wouldn't it?" Kyle asked with a smirk on his face.

"No. It wouldn't be a double date because I'm going. And do you not remember that his was supposed to be me, you , and Miz? How the hell did this turn into fucking date night?" Adam asked in frustration.

Bayley and Kyle both laughed at Adam for a moment.

"Miz invited Alexa so if you're gonna be mad at someone, be mad at him." Kyle told him.

Adam squinted his eyes as Bayley and Kyle for a moment.

"Whatever, lets go. I don't want to miss the credits." Adam said as he got up and walked away.

"Sorry about him, he'll stop wining after we give him his binki," Kyle joked as he followed Bayley out of the diner.

As the sun began to set, Luke pulled up to Becky's house and parked his truck. Becky walked outside as Seth got out of the truck with Luke.

"Hey, babe." Becky said as she greeted him with a kiss.

Seth held her waist and smiled down at her.

Becky suddenly noticed the fishing poles in the trunk.

"Where you guys fishing?" Becky asked uncomfortably.

"Yeah, your boyfriend is afraid of worms, by the way." Luke tried to joke.

Becky stared at him seriously for a moment.

"But I thought fishing was you and Dean's thing?" Becky asked him.

Seth looked at her in confusion as Luke glanced down awkwardly.

"I don't think he'd really like the idea of you trying to replace him-." Becky began to say before she stopped herself.

"I'm not trying to replace him, Becky. Seth and I were just getting to know each other a little better, that's all." Luke assured her

Seth didn't know why but he didn't feel comfortable with Becky's argument.

"Dean's not here, Rebecca. So it doesn't really matter how he would feel does it?" Seth asked angrily.

Becky looked over at him in surprise at his comment.

"Luke?" Anna asked as she walked outside.

"Hey." He said as he brought his attention to her.

Becky and Seth looked at each other awkwardly for a moment.

"Can you guys give us a minute?" Luke asked.

Becky and Seth began to walk inside before Anna stopped Becky.

"Keep your door open."Anna told her.

"I know." Becky said as Anna gave Seth a threatening look.

Luke waited for Becky and Seth to get inside before saying what he needed to say.

"What's going on?" Anna asked.

"Marry me." Luke said suddenly.

Anna looked at him in surprise before let out laugh.

"I'm serious." Luke said as he walked up to her.

"I know, that's why I'm laughing." Anna told him.

Luke looked into her eyes, pleading with her.

"It's been over a decade, Anna. You can't keep punishing yourself, like this." Luke told her.

"Don't do this again.." Anna began to say.

"You can't just be alone for the rest of your life." Luke said.

"I have Becky." Anna told her.

"For how long? Because she's gonna be going off to college soon and you are gonna be stuck here in this town. You are gonna be stuck in that house while she's out there making a life for herself." Luke said.

Tears filled Anna's eyes as Luke grabbed her hand.

"You can't keep doing this, Luke.." Anna said with a crack in her voice.

"Will is a grown ass man, Anna. He'll get over it." Luke told her.

"I can't.. If he found out-." Anna began tot say.

"If he found out what? That you're in love with me? That you've always been in love with me? Come on, Anna.. He already knows that. Hell, half the town already knows." Luke told her.

"My answer isn't going to change." Anna told him.

"Well I'm gonna keep asking because you and I both know we belong together. So you can keep on trying to protect yourself from getting a broken heart all you want.. I'm still gonna be right here to pick up the pieces, every damn time. I'm going anywhere, Anna." Luke told her.

Anna stared at him helplessly, wanting more than anything to just give in to her feelings.

"I'm sorry." Anna apologized.

"I know." Luke said as he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her in close.

Seth glanced out Becky's window as Anna cried on Luke's shoulder.

"I'm sorry for what I said out there. I shouldn't have reacted like that." Becky told him.

"It's okay. I shouldn't have snapped like that either." Seth said as Becky made a pallet on the floor.

Seth watched her uncomfortably for a moment.

"Pillows?" Seth asked her.

"Yeah." Becky said.

Seth picked up a pillow and saw a grey hoodie.

"Looks like you missed the laundry basket." Seth laughed as he through the hoodie into Becky's hamper across the room.

Becky looked over at the hoodie uncomfortably for a moment. Seth tossed her a few more pillows.

"I'm gonna use the bathroom really quick." Seth said.

As soon as Seth went into the bathroom, Becky walked over and took Dean's hoodie out of the hamper. She walked over and put it on the shelf in her closet.

"So what movie are we watching?" Seth asked as he walked out of the bathroom.

"Bad Moms." Becky said as they sat down on the pallet.

"You don't want to watch a romance movie or something?" Seth asked her.

"No. I really don't feel like getting nauseous tonight." Becky joked.

Seth faked a smile as he put his arm around Becky. They started the movies and got comfortable under the cover. Becky rested her head against his chest and took a deep breath. Seth glanced up and saw the hoodie sticking out of the top of the closet. He looked over at the hamper in confusion when he realized Becky must have taken it out.

At the movie theater, Miz, Alexa, Bayley, Kyle, and Adam were just finishing their movie.

"Thank for hanging out, guys. It's kind of nice not having to deal with Seth and Roman's girl problem for a day." Miz said with his arm around Alexa.

"Anytime, man. This was fun." Kyle told him.

"See you tomorrow, Bayley." Alexa said as they walked away.

Adam rolled his eyes as Bayley and Kyle stood there akwardly.

"I'm gonna use the restroom real quick." Kyle said.

"Okay." Bayley said as he walked away.

Adam put his hands in his pockets and walked up to Bayley.

"So you're going to homecoming with Kyle, huh?" Adam asked.

"I am." Bayey said.

"But I just asked you the other day and you turned me down. You're not trying to make me jealous are you?" Adam asked with confidence.

Bayley laughed at him.

"I turned you down because you're an ass and more importantly, I didn't want to go with you." Bayley said bluntly.

Adam stared at her for a moment, trying to pretend like he wasn't offended.

"Whatever. Your loss." Adam said.

"Maybe if you treated girls a little better you'd have a date by now." Bayley told him.

Adam looked up at the night sky and laughed.

"Oh, you think I don't have a date?" Adam asked.

"You don't, do you?" Bayley asked.

Adam froze for a moment.

 "I do." He said unconvincingly.

"What's her name?" Bayley asked.

"Well I haven't exactly decided yet. I have a few options." Adam told her.

"Right." Bayley said as she let out another laugh.

Adam was about to say something else before Kyle returned.

"I forgot to do something earlier." Kyle said as he walked up and pressed his lips against Bayely's.

He grabbed her waist as Bayley leaned in to the kiss. Adam glanced up at them uncomfortably for a moment. Bayley's stomach filled with butterflies as she let out a smile.

"Um.." Bayley tried to say as Kyle pulled away and smile down at her.

"Should I not have done that?" Kyle asked her.
