Safehouse
A new character will appear in this mission as the Russian loyalist.
Also, gonna add some disturbing features for this mission. Be prepared.
__________________________________
A week has finally passed.
Like what Amiya and Doctor had discussed, they will continue to watch the MW universe. Before that, they had discussed this with Kal'tsit and Closure.
The latter didn't mind and is willing to join in. Despite what happened at the Nuke scene, she still wants some answers about this alternate world.
Same goes for Kal'tsit. Watching the MW universe left her with several personal questions, one of which being the usage of the nuclear missile, hence why she had been a bit quiet and distant for the past week.
The use of nuclear energy into a weapon felt similar to her years ago.
Nevertheless, the Rhodes Island leaders made an announcement that they'll be continuing to watch the MW universe. The event would start at about 3 PM. Anyone wishes to join, they can feel free to do so.
Amiya wasn't sure to those that watched with them a week ago would join back for this session. She couldn't blame them though. That nuke scene is still terrifying to witness.
The Cautus was with the Doctor as they both arrived at the hangout area to watch the MW universe. Kal'tsit and Closure were already there, sitting by the main couch.
Amiya observed the rest of the operators that are willing to watch it again. She sees some familiar faces that had watched the MW universe since the first mission.
Those being: Ch'en, Folinic, Bagpipe, Blaze, Greythroat, Noir Corne, Yato, Rangers, Sesa, Vulcan, Dobermann, Franka, Kroos, Fang, and Spot.
Then there were those that join with them during the first act. Those being; Hellagur, Beehunter, Steward, Catapult, Hoshiguma, and Swire.
And now, for this session, there were a few new faces.
Firewatch was sitting on the carpet floor next to the couch where Meteorite was sitting. Beside her were Frostleaf and Meteor.
Amiya then sees Jessica being here aswell, though Liskarm was nowhere to be seen. The feline was sitting beside Dobermann with the two A1 members.
Speaking of A1, Beagle was there too, sitting on the floor with her team members. She manage to catch up after finishing her duty. Since Lava was busy with another appointment with her sister, Beagle decides to take her place.
And then there's Ansel talking with Steward while sitting on a chair beside the A6 members. He joined up because he was curious about the universe that Steward had been explaining to him, and also to accompany him since he was the only A4 member to join the session.
Cardigan, Melantha, and Adnachiel still needed a break after what they saw a week ago. Steward explained the details to the bunny boy, shocking him a bit. A bomb that is equivalent to a catastrophe is something he doesn't hear everyday.
Finally the last new operator to join was Dur-Nar. An associate of Dobermann, she was interested on this MW universe when she discussed it with the instructor. Like everyone else, she was surprised of the nuke scene and it's destruction capability.
It may have horrified her at the mention of the destruction, but she was also curious of how the world functions. Most noticeably the firearms being easily usable and accessible to anyone that doesn't train in Arts. Which means, no one uses shields, swords, bows, and other melee weapons in open combat.
Overall, the total operators that were present for this session is 29, lesser than the last session, but it's understandable why the rest didn't show up.
"Looks like there are some newcomers." Doctor said.
"I guess that's good. And it seems less crowded too." Amiya replied.
"Well, let's go to our seats." Amiya nodded as the both of them head towards the couch, passing by several of the operators that were having their own conversation like always.
"It's great that you get to join us, Beagle." Kroos said, delighted seeing her childhood Perro friend.
"Yeah, sorry i wasn't able to come last time. Lots of stuff to do. And since Lava is having an appointment, it wouldn't hurt for me to take her place." Beagle replied.
"Atleast the three of us can now watch this MW universe thing together." Fang remarked.
"Yeah, like the best of friends. Nothing could tear us apart!" Kroos wrapped both of her arms around the Kuranta and the Perro, which they smiled.
Dobermann then intervened. "Consider yourself lucky, Beagle. If you had joined us the last session, you would've witness the nuke explosion and probably be traumatized."
Beagle pull away from Kroos as she says "Fang, Kroos, and Lava told me about the whole thing. Was it really that bad?"
Dobermann nodded. "Very..."
Jessica, that was sitting next to her, trembled from the mentions of this nuke. "I-I feel scared of it already..."
Dobermann turned to her and put an arm on her shoulder. "Don't worry, Jessica. You're also lucky you didn't witness it."
"From what you said, it's crazy for a bomb to destroy a whole city. And I thought something like that could be impossible to make." Dur-Nar said.
Fang chimed in. "But the universe showed that it can. I feel bad to the people that fell victim to that explosion. Especially that Swire girl."
"Hopefully that was the last bad thing to happen in this film." Kroos said.
"Maybe..." Dobermann would want to agree, but she doubt that nuke would be the last bad thing to happen in this universe.
"So where is Popukar and Midnight?" Steward asked to the former Sargon soldier of the A6 team.
"Midnight is busy with his own thing." Spot said. "And Popukar...she is still traumatized. Orchid's been taking care of her ever since. I don't blame that poor kid."
"Maybe you should've not bring her in that session in the first place." Ansel proclaimed.
"That was my idea, but she felt bored and wanted to stick around with me when Orchid is busy. I admit, I may be aswell her big brother."
"And besides, he didn't expect the scene to escalate like that nuke scene." Catapult defended his teammate. "We didn't know something like that would happen."
Steward nodded in agreement. "Yeah, that's what happened to us too."
"Still, a child like her shouldn't have to watch this." Ansel states. "Also, she may get some violent tendencies. I don't want to see her using that chainsaw with that feeling..."
Catapult shivered, thinking back when she went out of control last time. It almost costed her an arm.
"I never expect you to be here, Meteor." Meteorite said to the Kuranta. "I thought you weren't this interested on modern tech stuff."
"I just wanted to keep myself occupied." Meteor answered, brushing her hair while sitting on the carpet floor.
"What about Gianna?" Frostleaf asked.
"Mina's keeping an eye on her. She's like a mother to her." Meteor chuckled.
"Well, since the warfare changed in this MW universe, I would want to check it out myself." Frostleaf said.
"Me too. How warfare has changed in this universe pique my interest. Though as far as i have heard, it mostly involves people going loud and guns blazing." Firewatch joined in. "Would be better if there is also stealth involved."
"What's wrong with go loud and blowing stuff up? Seems more fun." Meteorite remarked.
"You bet it, girl!" Sesa called out to her from his spot.
"Hey, Noir? Where are the three musketeers?" Blaze asked to the oni.
"The who?" Noir raised an eyebrow, confused.
"Dylan, Barty, and Chard. Where are they?"
"Oh, Dylan is busy maintaining his aircraft. Barty is helping him. Chard meanwhile...still having a hungover. He's resting in his room."
"How much did he drink?" Franka asked.
"A lot as usual. But Yato here, she had drank the same amount he has." Noir chuckled a bit, getting an unseen glare from the female oni.
"I had to get rid of the nuke scene in my head. Figure drinking a lot would wear it off." Yato said.
"Hey, I just never seen you drink, ok?" Noir remarked. "And speaking of which, did it manage to wear off?"
The female oni sighed. "Apparently not that much...I still remembered the whole scene."
"You're not alone on that part." Greythroat said, getting some nods from Rangers, Blaze and Franka.
Amiya and the Doctor made it to the main couch, seeing Kal'tsit and Closure sitting on it while Folinic was behind them, resting her arms on the couch.
"Glad you made it." Closure said. "We're thinking of starting it right away."
"We still have about five minutes left, though." Kal'tsit stated, looking at her watch.
"Eh, I waited too long." The Sarkaz replied.
Doctor chuckled and was going to sit on their spot on the couch. But when they did, they felt a bump and a shout.
"HEY!"
Doctor recoiled back up as they, Amiya, Kal'tsit, Closure, and Folinic (along with some of the ops nearby) stared at the empty seat that spoke up.
Amiya recognized that voice. "Ethan?"
And just like that, Ethan appeared sitting on Doctor's seat, rubbing his legs. "Did you gain weight, Doctor? That really hurt, you know?"
"I didn't know you were there, Ethan. How should i know?" Doctor replied, surprised from his sudden presence
"More importantly, what are you doing here?" Amiya asked.
"To watch this Modern Warfare universe of course. What do you think?" Ethan answered.
"No, i was just wondering why were you invisible just then."
"Eh, force of habit." Ethan shrugged.
"That doesn't explain why were you sitting on Doctor's spot." Closure said.
"It's pretty comfy." Ethan answered. "Tired of just standing around when watching this MW universe the last week and so."
The leaders (and Folinic) blinked, staring dumbfoundedly at the Savra. "Wait, you've been here since we watched the first mission?" The Doctor said.
"Yep. I was just standing there behind all of you. I gotta tell ya, this MW universe is already interesting."
They didn't seem to budge at that answer, more so because they were still focused on the part where had been there all this time without them knowing.
"Why didn't you just...join us up front? You don't have to be invisible for it." Amiya said.
"Again, it's a force of habit."
"Well, do you mind if you move over? That's my spot after all." Doctor pointed out.
"But it's comfy!" Ethan protested. "Where would I sit then?"
"On the floor." Kal'tsit responded in a serious matter.
Ethan sighed. "Fine..." He then got off the couch and sat beside it on the floor where as the Doctor and Amiya sat in their respective spot. With Ethan now being here, that makes about 30 operators present along with the leaders.
Amiya asked where was W since she joined with them last time. Kal'tsit answered that she was still mused about that nuclear scene. Knowing how explosive she can be, that nuke was a whole new experience to her. Though she did say that she'll think of joining later on.
When it's now time to watch the next act of the MW universe, Amiya wasted no time to grab the remote and press start. She didn't have to do announcement since everyone knows the drill.
And so the operators stared at the TV/projector screens as the second act of the MW universe has started.
_________________________________
The screen begins of where the last mission left off, with the Y.M.C emblem that appears in the center. However, Lin's name did not appear under it, but everyone knows why.
It then switches to an overhead view of the Sargonian content, along with the city where the nuke explosion happened that was still visible. The Satellite begins to scan the destroyed city as the following inscriptions appeared.
Sgt. Lin Yuhsia
1st Force recon
Status: K.I.A.
(A/N: Two weeks later after 'Aftermath' , HG now decides to release her as a playable operator, lmao)
Most of the audience, especially the Lungmenese girls frowned at that statement. During the break, Swire had a chat with Lin. It turns out that she had also watched this MW universe back in Lungmen with his father.
She was devastated seeing herself to die from the hands of that nuke. The worst part was that her body can't even be retrieved to be buried. She was left to rot on that nuked city with her and the rest of the comrades.
"It is still visible up in the sky..." Doctor commented of the size of the nuke in that city.
"I pity those that perished in the nuke cloud." Kal'tsit chimed in.
"Hope that Drudge guy is happy..." Blaze hissed.
"So does this mean that we are going back to Rhodes Island?" Greythroat asked.
"I think so." Closure said.
When the satellite zoomed away from the Sargon continent, the emblem then changes to the Rhodes Island one.
"Guess you're right." Amiya said to the grey-haired liberi.
"So what is our next mission going to be?" Bagpipe asked.
"Probably something related on dealing with Reunion." Ch'en remarked.
The scene changes to the satellite tracking an incoming transmission somewhere in Wolumonde. The following inscriptions appear as a picture of Folinic shows up with an audio log below it.
Incoming transmission
I.D: Folinic
Wolumonde, Leithanien
"I wonder what i have to say here?" Folinic asked to herself as the audience were also thinking of what Folinic has is transmitting.
Then they got their answer...
"The man is a coward, Captain Hui-Chieh. Drudge Tulla would never sacrifice himself." Folinic informed.
That statement got some shocked reactions from almost everyone, excluding the newcomers. The man that was responsible on detonating the nuke in his city, killing all of those marines - even his own men, was still alive.
A few of them were notably angry, Blaze being one of them.
"He is alive?!" Blaze exclaimed, gripping her seat, trying to contain the anger in her.
"What the bloody hell?!" Bagpipe cursed.
"So that bastard wasn't in the city after all?" Vulcan said.
"I second what Folinic said. He is a damn coward!" Sesa shouted.
"He killed me and Lin, and probably Hoshiguma too, yet HE gets to live?!" Swire lividly said.
"Of course he chose cowardice..." Hellagur glared at the fact that this so called 'leader' left all of his people behind and killed them all with the nuke.
"Not so different when we faced him back in Sargon with those rainbow members." Franka frowned.
"So does this means that we are going after him?" Amiya asked.
"Definitely." Ch'en said firmly, determined for her character to kill the bastard.
"That man is so dead." Noir Corne stated, getting nods of agreement from the rest.
The newcomers were a little unease of the angry reactions. That Drudge character must've truly pissed them off.
"There is a safehouse in Kazimierz that Drudge Tulla had used in the past. I am sending you the coordinates." Folinic continued as the satellite then shifted away from Wolumonde and head towards a new location in Kazimierz.
"Oh, this seems interesting." Meteor said when her birth nation was announced.
"Agreed." Catapult nodded since she too was born in Kazimierz.
"And it seems that Rhodes Island are after Drudge." Rangers said.
"And hopefully kill him too. That man deserves to pay for everything he had done." Blaze declared, getting some nods of agreement.
"Wished Liskarm was here to witness this." Franka remarked. The reason is that the vouivre was occupied with some blacksteel business stuff with Vanilla., so she could not make it to watch this again. Atleast she'll have a story to tell.
Ch'en replied to the message. "Understood, Folinic. Bagpipe, assemble the team. We're going to Kazimierz."
"Yes, sir. I hear it's lovely this time of the year..." Bagpipe said as the satellite then zooms in to a remote village somewhere north of Kazimierz near the mountains. The village had a big river by the north and has a good amount of buildings.
The satellite scanned the buildings that were present in the village, knowing that Drudge might be hiding in one of them, as it then tracks Amiya's location by the river. The following inscriptions appear.
Located...
Day 4 - 2:00:35
22nd Rhodes Island Regiment
Amiya
Northern Kazimierz
Village of Dewville
"Dewville? I think I've heard of that place." Catapult said.
"Yes, It's one of the villages of Kazimierz. I'm acquainted with a girl named Carol, she's a pretty caring woman. I think she is leading the village now." Meteor stated, then she frowned when it was the setting for this mission. "I don't know why this Drudge guy is taking refuge in this village, but I'm worried for the villagers."
"I'm sure the villagers are doing fine. They probably even left the area because of Drudge's presence." Amiya claimed.
The screen then zooms into Amiya's perspective. She was seen with her team behind the river as she readied her M4A1 Sopmod. The gun with the red dot, silencer, and grenade launcher.
The audience sees Ch'en and Bagpipe in front of Amiya and on her left there were the two Onis - Yato and Noir Corne. Though when Amiya look to her right, there were two new members.
The audience were surprised to see that the two soldiers were Dobermann and Sesa. Both characters who appeared in the first mission, and are now in the field.
Dobermann's headgear consist of an earpiece while Sesa wore a beanie with holes for his horns. Weapon-wise, Dobermann uses an M16A4 while Sesa uses an M4A1 Grenadier.
"It's instructor Dobermann!" Kroos exclaimed with a smile.
"I'm joining the assault too?" Dobermann said in disbelief, but was delighted that she is taking part on killing Drudge. And here she thought she's just gonna be an instructor back in the first mission.
"This sure got interesting for me." Dur-Nar smirked, curious of how the former Bolivarian military Instructor will perform.
"Us too." Fang said, gesturing towards her team.
They known the instructor ever since she trained them in, and the trio had a good relationship with her. Now they get to watch her in combat in this MW universe.
"And I'm here aswell!" Sesa shouted happily, seeing himself in the field with Amiya and the rest. "Go kick some ass other me!"
"Lucky you..." Blaze muttered, a little ticked off that she had no appeared yet in this universe. Hopefully she will be in the sequel.
The seven man squad waited by the river, then the audience saw a figure coming out of the gas station in front of them. They didn't know if it was friend or enemy, but that was answered when the figure flashed a light to the group, implying that they're a friend.
"There's Nine's man. Let's move." Ch'en said as she, Bagpipe, and Amiya move towards the figure, who happens to be a Loyalist.
"So it seems the loyalists are joining aswell in this operation." Kal'tsit stated.
"The more folks the merrier." Closure replied.
When the trio got closer to the loyalist, the audience observed his appearance. The Loyalist was of course an Ursus, a male one per se. He is equipped with an AK47.
The man wore the signature grey Loyalist attire, but his headgear contains a hoodie that reveals his Ursine ears and streaks of his blonde hair. He also wore a balaclava that covers his nose and mouth, only revealing his eyes and his fair skin.
Ethan took a closer look on the Loyalist until his eyes went wide, realizing who that person is. "Hey, that's Kevin!"
Almost everyone turned to him, eyebrow raised.
"Who's Kevin?" Ch'en asked.
"Wait, i think i know him." Hoshiguma chimed in. "He's a soda seller in the Lungmen slums. Ethan was after the guy, says that he's a good friend of his."
"Indeed he is." Ethan replied. "Both of us were part of Reunion. While I left the organization by my own free will, Kevin did not. When he was in the middle of a battle in Lungmen, his jetpack got malfunctioned which cause him to crash into a garbage collector, knocking him out unconscious. When he woke up, the battle was already over. So he quit and became what Hoshiguma said, a soda seller."
"So those sodas that you gave to me and Midnight before were from your friend?" Spot asked. Ethan nodded in return.
"You two sure has some history." Amiya said.
"Yep. We did." Ethan smiled. Sure that time in Lungmen may be his last encounter with him, but Ethan thought of visiting him again some day, that if he is still alive and kicking. But now, seeing him in this MWverse is good enough, he's even part of the good guys.
"Drudge Tulla is in the village. The Reunion forces are protecting him." Kevin informed, gesturing a finger at the hill where the Village is.
"Perfect. Move out." Ch'en said, ordering the rest of the team to move up with Kevin.
"So Drudge is with Reunion?" Jessica asked.
"Well they did supplied him and his army with weapons and vehicles." Vulcan stated.
"All are probably gone now from that nuke." Sesa added.
Yato, Noir Corne, Sesa, and Dobermann stood up as they all move up towards the hillside that leads to the village. When they went up the hill, they begin to hear gunshots followed with Ursine shouting from the Reunion forces, and then they heard screaming of terror.
"What the hell's going on up there?" Bagpipe questioned, hearing those sounds coming from the village.
"It's Reunion...they're killing the villagers." Kevin said with a sigh.
Most of the operators were shocked knowing that the villagers were still in their home, which are now occupied by Reunion forces. And from all those screaming and gunshots, it seems that the Kazimierzian villagers are getting massacred.
"Oh no..." Meteor uttered, knowing the fact that her fellow Kuranta people are getting killed. Especially in a village she once knew before and got along with everyone in it.
"Shit, they must save them!" Catapult shouted, also not liking the fact that her people were getting killed.
"I think It's too late for that..." Frostleaf said, hearing the screaming that had escalated.
"Yeah, well not for long they're not." Bagpipe stated.
The squad kept moving up the hill until they see the fences and lamp posts, and finally a building infront of them.
"So is this gonna be in stealth?" Firewatch asked.
"Probably so. The Reunion forces do outnumber the team." Greythroat said.
"Yeah, but from all those gunshots and screaming, stealth doesn't seem like an option." Spot asserted.
When the squad made it to the entrance of the village, they were immediately fired upon by a Reunion machine gunner by the first house.
"Contact, second floor window!" Bagpipe exclaimed as she dove for cover. The rest followed her action, taking cover behind the trees, rocks, and fences.
"Well, this makes stealth to go out of the window, again." Noir Corne remarked, earning a sigh from Firewatch and Greythroat.
"And I guess Reunion now knows our presence." Yato added.
The machine gunner kept firing at them while Amiya heard several more Reunion soldiers coming to them. And just like she expected, about three Reunion soldiers arrived in front of the house and open fire at the squad.
"Give me cover fire!" Amiya heard Sesa's shout as she glanced to him on her right. He was loading up an M203 round on his weapon.
Seeing this, Amiya stood up and took out two of the soldiers infront of the house, allowing Sesa to peek out of cover and fired a grenade towards the machine gunner by the window, killing the gunner in the process.
"That's what I'm talking about!" Sesa cheered seeing himself using that grenade launcher just like in the first mission.
"That was a nice shot." Blaze commented.
"Thanks." He replied with a smile.
Another squad of Reunion soldiers have arrived to the scene, then Amiya hears a series of barks. Soon, two hounds had appeared and are charging at the squad.
One of them darted towards Amiya, but the Cautus quickly killed it. The other hound manage to pounce on Dobermann.
Amiya turned to help her, but didn't need to when the Instructor overpowered it as she threw it to the ground before stomping on it's neck, crushing it.
The A1 girls were shocked of how she killed that dog. Meanwhile, Dur-Nar whistled at that kill. "That was pretty clean, Dobermann."
Dobermann said nothing as she was surprised herself after witnessing that. It was also a reminder to the rest of the operators to not mess with Dobermann, because she will screw you up.
Amiya then move up right towards the house. A Reunion soldier was by the window and fired at her, but she quickly put him down. She then turned left towards the Church as she saw the rest of the Reunion squadron.
A few more enemy soldiers joined in, prompting the Cautus to switch to her M203. She fired a round and killed about two of them. The rest of the squad move up and engaged the hostiles.
Seeing that the enemy forces were being taken care of, Amiya decides to go into the house, where Drudge might be in there. She then head towards the door with Bagpipe and Sesa following her.
Two more Reunion soldiers were spotted inside, but they were quickly dispatched by the Vouivres. The three then went inside and search the place. The first floor seems to be clear.
"Clear!" Sesa said as he went to the dining room.
Amiya and Bagpipe decides to go to the second floor. Before doing that, the Cautus pulled out her second weapon which is the M1014 shotgun.
"Oh, I have a shotgun too?" Amiya said, recalling when Bagpipe had a shotgun during the cargo ship raid.
"That's a nice looking gun though." Doctor commented.
"And it's perfect for close encounters." Folinic states.
When Amiya went to the stairs, she saw a dead Kuranta villager laying down between her, getting some shocked reactions from most of the audience.
As Amiya and Bagpipe search the rooms on the second floor, the former saw two more dead villagers at one of the bedrooms, laying in their own pool of blood. One of them looks to be a young teenage girl and the corpse next to her must be her mother.
"I can't believe they're dead..." Meteor said, eyes wided and hands covering her mouth as she reacted in total shock.
"Those fucking bastards." Catapult growled.
"They even killed the girl..." Rangers lamented at the young dead Kuranta girl.
Blaze eyes widen in realization. "Wait...does that mean there are children in the village aswell!?"
"Oh god... I-I hope they make it out alive." Amiya said, hoping that the Reunion forces didn't kill them. The Doctor also thought of it, but sadly they may all be dead.
Amiya and Bagpipe search the rooms, but there were no signs of Drudge anywhere. "Building clear. No sign of Drudge Tulla. Move on." The Vouivre stated.
The duo went down and head towards the dining room. They saw Sesa and Dobermann taking cover beside the back door entrance as they engaged with the Reunion forces across the street, right behind a burning house.
"Enemy personnel by the front!" Dobermann shouted, firing her M16A4 at them. Sesa tried to fire back, but was forced to get back to cover when the Reunion forces fired at him.
"Reloading." Sesa said, reloading his weapon.
Amiya switch back to her M4A1, taking aim at the window next to Sesa. She killed one of the shooters, causing the rest to fire at her as she duck down for cover.
She then ran across to Dobermann's side, getting a clear view at the soldiers from her window. Amiya used her M203 grenade launcher and killed them all in just one shot.
Shifting to the door, Amiya saw a Reunion soldier about to enter, but he was then disarmed by Dobermann as she held him firmly. The Perro Instructor then uses her free hand to take out her knife and stabbed the soldier to the heart.
"Wow, Ms. Dobermann. You are doing all the cool kills here." Beagle said.
"And you look awesome doing it!" Kroos followed.
Dobermann couldn't help but smile at the two girls. "Thanks, you two." Looking back at her character, it does remind herself during her time in the Bolivar war. Her military skills were very on par.
Maybe it was a good choice to bring her in to kill Drudge. Hope she lives through it.
When the area was clear, Amiya and Sesa move outside the house. There they saw Kevin, Ch'en, Yato, and Noir corne dealing with the Reunion enemies by the road near the church and a crashed Blackhawk helicopter.
"Hostiles approaching!" Ch'en shouted.
"I see them!" Kevin replied. He then threw a grenade, which killed two of the advancing soldiers. Amiya assisted them by firing her M4A1 and kill about two more soldiers.
After killing them all, the squad focused on to the next building, which is by the edge of the village near the river.
The squad move up while noticing more dead bodies of the villagers by the roads and near the houses. Young men and women had their lives taken by those Reunion soldiers.
Amiya look back at the burning house and saw a family of 4 Kurantas on the pathway. One old man, two adults, and another teenager, all were executed by the rebels.
The audience even saw a few of the villagers carrying shotguns or pistols, indicating that they tried to defend the village, but those poor souls didn't stood a chance.
Most of the operators watched with a sad frown. Some were in sorrow, like Meteor. She can't believe she is seeing the residents of Dewville dead by the Reunion soldiers.
"Looks like they are killing everyone." Rangers bitterly said.
"But why?" Meteor spoke up. "There is no valid reason for them to kill innocents..."
"Maybe just for fun." Blaze said with a frown. Maybe Drudge even ordered the soldiers to eradicate the population. Knowing him, that must've been it.
She so could not wait for his head to get blown off by the Rhodes Islanders.
When the squad move up to the second house, they were met with heavy fire by the Reunion occupants. Since the roof of the building was undone, it allows the Reunion soldiers a vantage point to use their machine guns.
The squad dove for cover behind the fences or the rocks. Amiya peek out and fired a few rounds, but crouched back to cover behind the fence.
The rest of the squad tried to do the same, with Kevin manage to kill one of the soldiers outside, but was forced back to cover.
"Amiya! Call in air support on that building!" Ch'en ordered, pointing at the building with the machine gunners by the roof.
"They have air support all this time?" Ansel said.
"Now it seems like a great time to use it." Steward followed.
"Wait, if they have air support then why didn't they use it sooner when Reunion were killing the villagers?" Jessica asked.
"I'm pretty sure the Reunion forces would take it down easily with a few RPGs." Vulcan stated.
"Oh....wait, what's an RPG?"
"It's another name for a Rocket Launcher." Dobermann clarified.
Obliging Ch'en's order, Amiya got out of cover and took out a walkie talkie. There the audience could see a yellow circle emulating out of nowhere, but it was targeting at the designated building.
Amiya then clicked a button to the walkie talkie - the yellow circle turning red after, then the audience hears a new voice.
"Mosin 2-5 here. We're on the way. Standby for air support." A loyalist pilot said.
Amiya waited for half a minute before she sees an attack helicopter closing in to the building. It was a new type of helicopter that the audience haven't seen before.
It is the MI-28 attack helicopter, or Havoc for short.
They can already tell by the design that the helicopter means business. And it did.
The MI-28 set it's eyes on the Reunion forces by the building as it unleashed hell to them by firing it's autocannon. The MI-28 manage to kill the machine gunners in the roof as it now focused on the Reunion forces outside.
A few of them were shooting at the helicopter in a desperate attempt to take it out, but of course it did no effect as the Helicopter responded by shooting at them with the autocannon.
More Reunion soldiers showed up at the left side of the building, firing at Mosin 2-5. The chopper shrugged all of those bullets as it slowly turned to the group of enemies. Instead of using the autocannon, Mosin 2-5 decides to fire a rocket at the squad, killing them all in one blow.
After that massacre, Mosin 2-5 spoke up. "This is 2-5. We have to refuel and rearm. We will not be available for some time." And with that, the MI-28 left the area.
The audience were amazed by the performance of the MI-28. It seems that it was the Ursine version of those Yanese helicopters that were attacking the capital city.
Nevertheless, it did the job done by killing all of those soldiers without suffering any major damages to the aircraft.
"Wow, they got destroyed." Frostleaf said.
"Which was pretty awesome!" Sesa exclaimed, seeing all of that destruction from that attack helicopter was glorious to him. "A close up-view of that was so good."
"These helicopters got me interested in this world already." Meteorite smiled.
"Still needs stealth missions..." Firewatch muttered.
The squad move up to the building, dealing with any surviving Reunion soldiers from that attack. Amiya then stack up to the front door with Yato and Noir corne.
Bullets almost hit the female oni as she shift her head back to cover. Amiya threw a flashbang in, blinding the survivors inside. She then took out her M1014 and stormed in the building.
She saw two Reunion soldiers covering their eyes from the flash, then she immediately shoot them dead with her shotgun.
"Pretty effective." Rangers noted.
"I mean we did see Bagpipe using it at the ship mission before." Noir Corne pointed out.
"We did, but not in first person like right now." Yato said.
When Amiya observed the building, It appears that it was a store. There were various fruits, vegetables and condiments by the shelves and tables.
By the counter, she saw another dead villager on the table, which seems to be the owner of the place. She then saw a door which has a staircase that leads to the attic where the machine gunners were.
When Amiya went up, the audience expected to see a dark interior of the attic with the dead bodies of the machine gunners.
But they did not expect of what Amiya would see next.
When Amiya made it to the attic, she sees the dead bodies of the machine gunners, but when she turned right, she saw three more dead bodies of the Kuranta villagers.
However...those three bodies were little children.
The three children died the same way the rest of the villagers did, executed from the Reunion soldiers via gunshots. They were no younger than 8-11. By the looks of it, the older child of the three tried to shield the two younger children from the bullets, but they failed.
Almost everyone had reacted in total shock. They didn't expect the game to add corpses of children, but this mission had shown it. Those poor children, murdered by those monsters.
Picking up the pieces, it appears that the three children tried to hide somewhere when Reunion begin slaughtering the entire village square. They manage to take refuge in the attic of the village store.
The owner must've hid them there so they won't be killed, but it seems that the soldiers had known where the children were. When they found them - they showed no mercy.
"Oh god..." Jessica uttered, eyes wided.
"What...the fuck..." Fang muttered while Beagle froze at the dead bodies.
Kroos also reacted in shock, but she kept her best to keep squinting while not revealing her eyes.
Dobermann grimaced at the sight. It reminds her at the time in Bolivar...when children were murdered by the opposition forces, either from hatred or just pure fun. Dur-Nar had that experience before.
Ethan was shocked himself. He was still glad that he had left the movement, which saved his own life too. He'd seen his former reunion comrades doing...bad things to the uninfected locals.
Most of the operators lamented at the sight, those children had bright futures ahead of them, yet they were all taken away by those rebel forces.
Some felt anger, seeing the dead children by the hands of those Reunion soldiers, possibly from Drudge's orders too. They all had to serve justice.
"T-They're dead...I can't believe it...." Meteor shuddered. What's worse is that one of the dead children was a little girl, probably the same age as Gianna.
"Those fucking animals!" Blaze yelled in anger.
"There was no reason to kill them!" Vulcan shouted.
"Yeah, they could've just left them alone!" Sesa agreed with a nod.
Hellagur only shook his head. "Not even the younglings survived..." He was very ashamed of Reunion's actions in this universe.
"Why does children have to die in these wars..." Amiya dismally said.
"These villagers were in Reunion's way by the looks of it." Doctor said. "They don't seem to appreciate anyone who stands in their way."
"But those villagers aren't even part of the civil war, heck they're foreigners to them. They were just minding their own business!" Bagpipe exclaimed. "Reunion and Drudge could've leave them alone!"
"Or force them to leave the village." Folinic remarked. "Atleast that won't lead to bloodshed."
"Forget what i said of stealth, they do have to go guns blazing to avenge all of those villagers." Greythroat growled.
Amiya stared at the dead bodies before focusing back on searching for Drudge, but he wasn't here, which Bagpipe pointed out. "This building's clear. Let's move on to the next one!"
Amiya did not went down the stairs, and instead went to the window where the machine gunners were. Outside the building, she saw two squads of Reunion soldiers heading towards the building.
Dobermann and Sesa were outside firing at them, which prompted Amiya to give them support from the attic. She switched to her M4A1 and starts firing at the incoming soldiers. A good chunk of them were already killed.
When Amiya was reloading her weapon, she sees another Reunion soldier coming up to the building. However, the soldier was wearing heavy armor that almost resembles to that of the Guerilla shieldguards.
"That can't be good." Firewatch said.
"No shit." Meteorite replied.
"They look tough." Kroos commented at their appearance.
"With some lucky shots, she may be able to pierce the armor." Meteor remarked.
The heavy armored Reunion soldier set his eyes on Amiya as he fired his RPD machine gun at her. Quickly, Amiya duck down and back away to prevent getting hit by the bullets.
It seems that the armored soldier stopped firing at her as he focused on the rest of the squad. Amiya stood back up to take him down.
She loaded up an M203 grenade before firing it at the armored soldier. The soldier stumbled back from the explosion, wounding him but didn't kill him. Amiya switch back to rifle mode, unleashing a full magazine at the armored soldier.
The combined bullets from her and her comrades manage to penetrate the armor of the soldier, hitting the flesh. The armored soldier dropped his machine gun as he fell down dead.
"That took some effort." Hellagur remarked.
"Good thing he didn't have a bigger gun, like a minigun." Beehunter said.
"Or tougher armor." Hoshiguma added.
Amiya head back downstairs and regrouped with the squad. They all then move up to the next building that is above where they are.
Amiya went to the back door with Ch'en and Noir Corne and up to the hill of the next building. However, a BMP suddenly appeared at the road and begin to fire at the Rhodes Island operators.
The trio quickly took cover by the brick stairs, evading the shots of the BMP, but they were pinned down.
Suddenly, Mosin 2-5 spoke up. "Mosin 2-5 here. We are ready to attack and are standing by for new orders."
"Perfect timing." Swire said. "They could use the aircraft to destroy that armored vehicle."
"Why did they even bring a BMP to a village?" Spot asked.
"Possibly to kill any escaped villagers..." Closure thought bitterly.
Hearing the response, Amiya stood up and pull out the walkie talkie. Though instead of aiming at the BMP, she aimed at the building filled with a group of Reunion soldiers that were firing at the rest of the squad.
She knows that the BMP is heading towards the building aswell, and when she calls in the MI-28, the helicopter would destroy the vehicle along with killing the Reunion soldiers inside the building simultaneously.
So, she called in the pilot to attack the building. "The helicopter is on the way. We'll handle it." He said.
Half a minute later, Amiya saw the MI-28 again, aiming its guns at the building. It started firing its autocannon at the Reunion soldiers by the windows.
Then it turned to the BMP, whom is shooting at the MI-28 at an attempt to take it down. Unfortunately for them, the MI-28 fired its rockets, instantly destroying the armored vehicle.
The aircraft continued to slaughter any Reunion soldiers outside for a good few minutes before the pilot informed that they are leaving to refuel and rearm. The aircraft then left again.
"You know, I've been wondering this ever since we started watching this MW alternate universe." Ch'en spoke up. "If Originium doesn't exist, then what are they using to power up their vehicles?"
"That's a good question..." Kal'tsit pondered. She knows Originium doesn't just use for weapons and firearms, but they are also used for vehicles. Many of them rely on originium as fuel.
And Originium can be a power source, hence why Terra had become pretty advanced in technology because of this mineral. And the reason why these mobile cities are able to function.
Originium may be dangerous, but it also has some great values. It's why the civilized world of Terra has become what it is till this day.
She wonders what source of energy is the MW alternate universe are using for their vehicles if there aren't any originium around.
"Well, I always wonder that something like oil could be a good alternative as a power source for vehicles." Steward spoke up.
"Oil?" Catapult raised an eyebrow. "Yeah no, Steward. I don't see oil being used for fuel. I mean, we usually use them for cooking."
"Yeah, that seems weird." Spot replied. "No one would use cooking material for fuel. Only an idiot would think of that."
Steward frowned and crossed his arms. It was just a simple thought. There's no need for him to get dissed like that!
Amiya, Ch'en, and Noir being to move up to the building. She glanced to her left and saw the rest of the squad heading to the building aswell, with Bagpipe and Dobermann engaging with any incoming Reunion forces.
Ch'en and Noir went left to assist them while Amiya set her eyes on the basement door of the building.
There still might be surviving Reunion forces in the building and they would usually focus on the front door. But going to the basement first would give her the element of surprise, and so she went in.
"It seems she's going to give them the element of surprise." Greythroat said.
"I can see that, which is a good tactic." Hellagur replied.
"A great tactic." Firewatch added. "It always overthrows anything. Even if you are a trained soldier, you would still get killed by an untrained Militia via the element of surprise."
"Like Guerilla warfare." Dobermann stated. "The True Bolivarians also used that tactic against the Coalition government and the Singas dynasty."
Amiya cautiously enter the basement with her shotgun in hand. Thankfully, there were no sight of any enemies. However, there were some dead villagers laying on their pools of blood. They must've tried to hide here.
Gunfire and various ursine shouts were heard upstairs, indicating there were still some surviving Reunion forces. Amiya then went up the stairs to the ground floor.
She immediately encountered a lone soldier firing at her unseen comrades. She quickly shot him down, which must've alerted the rest of his comrades of her presence.
Quickly, she threw a flashbang into the room. When it explodes, she rushed in and took out all the blinded enemies, clearing the room. Looking around, the audience noticed that the building is some sort of tavern.
"Looks like a nice place." Noir commented. "Shame those Reunion soldiers thrashed it and killed everyone."
Amiya reloaded her shotgun while she sees Kevin and Bagpipe entering through the front door. The latter went towards the stairs, firing a few bullets from her G36C at an unseen soldier.
While Kevin check the rest of the ground floor, Amiya went to the stairs with Bagpipe, taking point. As she goes up the stairs, she saw the door in front of her, closed shut. Knowing there was an enemy in there, Amiya fired a round at the door as the dead body of the soldier slid out aftewards.
She then went inside the room, which turns out to be a bathroom. She then stumbled across two more corpses of the villagers. This time it was a mother holding her dead 7 year old daughter.
The mother must've tried to hide in the bathroom, but it was futile when the soldiers found her, mercilessly killing her and her daughter.
"This is just fucked up." Frostleaf lamented at the sight.
"It's Reunion after all." Meteorite replied.
"But I did not expect the Guerillas to have done these atrocities." Hellagur spoke up. "I had known Patriot before. I know for a fact that Patriot and his guerillas would not kill innocent civilians. Though it seems that in this universe, the guerillas have the ideals of those average reunion thugs."
"Well, it is an alternate universe, so there are many alternate possibilities." Amiya pointed out.
"Like Rhodes Island being a special op branch of the Victorian military, by the looks of it." Kal'tsit remarked.
"And Yan having a 'marine' branch for this world." Hoshiguma added.
"But I still think Blacksteel would still be a private military company." Franka said, still eager to see when the company she and her girl friends worked in gets to appear in this MW universe.
Mourning those two dead villagers for a moment, Amiya went back to clear the second floor. Amiya went to the room from her right, killing a soldier that was in front of another doorway. She then met up with Bagpipe and Kevin.
"Building is clear. Move on to the next one." Bagpipe informed, indicating that Drudge Tulla isn't here aswell.
"Wonder where are they hiding him?" Greythroat said.
"Don't know, but he can't hide forever." Blaze replied.
"He must really be an important asset to Reunion, given the fact that they had a BMP along with that heavily armored soldier." Doctor said.
Just as they were going to leave the house, they were under fire by the Reunion forces through the windows. The trio took cover as Amiya took a peek at one of the windows, noticing that it came from the next house over.
A squad of them were firing from the windows while the rest ran out of the house and head towards the tavern. Amiya could see another heavily armored soldier.
Amiya then turned to the RPD turrets placed on the windows and decide to use them. She got on one and begin to fire back at the Reunion soldiers.
She manage to kill most of the soldiers heading to the tavern while taking out a few by the house. When she aimed at the heavy soldier, the latter fired first, prompting Amiya to get off of the turret and take cover.
"Frag out!" She hears Ch'en shouting from outside the house, which was then followed with a sound of a grenade exploding.
Amiya look back and noticed that the grenade exploded on the heavy soldier, stopping him and wounding him. Taking the chance, Amiya got back up to the turret and unleash its bullets at him.
The heavy soldier ate all of those lead as he dropped to his knees and fell down dead.
"Good assist there." Hoshiguma said to Ch'en.
"It's nothing." Ch'en shrugged.
"You did help me there to get a clear shot on that soldier." Amiya said.
"Which makes that two heavy soldiers to slaughter a whole village..." Folinic muttered.
Amiya abandoned the turret as she head outside through the back door. She then head towards the house with Yato, Ch'en, and Sesa to accompany her.
The four ran towards the house, exchanging fire at the windows and killing a few of the Reunion occupants. Amiya turned right to kill two Reunion soldiers by the upper hill, focusing back on the house after.
Sesa fired another 40mm grenade towards the windows as Amiya sneak her way to the back door of the house. She stack up to the side, Yato joining her shortly after.
Amiya then threw a flashbang in, knowing there are Reunion soldiers by the hall. She then took out her M1014 and move in to the house, one tapping the blinded soldiers.
"That gun is pretty OP." Franka commented.
"Yeah, Shotguns really are a go to weapon for close combat." Swire agreed.
"Doubt anyone could even survive a shotgun blast up-close." Beehunter said.
Amiya killed another soldier with a shotgun blast to the chest. When he fell down, Amiya glanced at his wounds.
She could see pieces of his guts torn off from the shot, with blood clothing his uniform while having tiny holes spread out.
Folinic cringed a bit at the sight. "Yeesh, that is some damage."
"It would also be tough to get those bullets out of the wound if he was lucky to be alive." Kal'tsit added.
"Imagine if those shotguns were told to be prohibited to use by the laws of war because of the damage it would cause." Noir corne said with a chuckle.
"Laws are rarely used in wars, anyway. And the shotgun being a war crime?" Spot remarked, scoffing after. "That's possibly an excuse from the opposing side who probably lost a lot of soldiers from shotguns."
Amiya sees Ch'en going in the house through the garage area as the two join up to clear the rest of the house. They went to the dining room and the kitchen, seeing dead Reunion soldiers on the floor, thanks to Yato.
Speaking of which, the female oni was seen taking cover beside the doorway that leads to the living room. Amiya didn't need to look as she threw in her third flashbang, blinding the soldiers in the room.
Yato and Ch'en then move up and shoot all of the soldiers, clearing the area.
Amiya and Ch'en then head upstairs, knowing there were still some Reunion soldiers up above. Meanwhile, Bagpipe and Dobermann entered the house, the former joining up with the two upstairs.
Amiya kept her shotgun ready, then two Reunion soldiers burst out of the rooms. Ch'en quickly killed one of them with Amiya shooting the other.
The cautus was about to go up, but stopped when bullets were shot infront of her, nearly hitting her.
"That was close." Amiya said in relief.
"You would've died right there." Doctor replied, also in relief.
She turned to the direction and saw a glimpse of a soldier holding an AK74u, closing the door he was in. The cautus then rushed up infront of the door.
She fired two shots of her shotgun, the first managing to kill the soldier while the second blasted the door open. There was another Reunion soldier inside, but Amiya quickly killed him.
She then checks the room while Bagpipe and Ch'en checks the rest. The room Amiya entered was a simple bedroom, aside with the two dead Reunion soldiers.
Though when she turned to the bed itself, she saw another dead body of a woman.
What got the audience's surprise however...is that she was half naked.
"Y-You don't think those two were doing what i think they were doing to her!?" Swire exclaimed in shock.
"They were..." Ch'en glared at the screen.
"Oh I know, alright!" Blaze said with gritted teeth. "I can't fucking believe it!"
"I can understand seeing innocent civilians being killed in war." Hellagur said. "But this...this is just unacceptable. It's a disgrace."
"It's fucking barbaric!" Dobermann exclaimed, surprising the A1 girls.
"Reunion is willing to go this far?!" Hoshiguma shouted.
"I...wow..." Ethan was left speechless.
And at this point, almost everyone was either angry or speechless, mostly the females. Reunion had killed a lot of innocents during their existence, and they're witnessed it countless of time. But raping someone? That's a whole different story.
Amiya wasn't too keen on violence. Or even killing. Granted, she tried to avoid doing it when facing Reunion back in Chernobog and Lungmen. But after what happened with Alex, she learns that she would eventually had to resort to killing when it is necessary.
Seeing that dead half-naked woman who may have gotten raped, she felt anger within her. If she saw something like that happening in real life, she would not hesitate to brutally hurt those perpetrators.
While everyone was busy being angry at the scene, Noir Corne took the time to observe closer. "Wait! It's alright, guys. I don't think they managed to do it to her."
When Amiya went closer to the body, the audience saw that there wasn't any bruises on the body or any of those...white stuff, indicating that those two soldiers only manage to get her clothes off.
They probably stopped doing it when Rhodes Island and the Loyalists attack the village.
However, that didn't stop the two soldiers from killing the woman as she was seen with a knife slit on her throat, blood coming out of it.
Meteor observed the woman until she gasped and went wide-eyed. "That's...that's Carol!"
"Wait what?!" Catapult exclaimed. "The chieftain of the Dewville village?"
"That's her?" Meteorite asked, getting a nod from Catapult.
"I've heard that Grani talked about her during her time in Kazimierz. She did say she was a good woman." Amiya said, saddened seeing her dead in this universe.
Meteor kept staring at the screen. First the village was invaded, then its residents were killed - even the children, and now she witnessed the death of Carol - the woman that cares deeply of her hometown and her people, and a nice person to anyone she meets.
And here she was, half-naked and dead by the hands of those Reunion soldiers. Meteor closed her eyes and frowned, lowering her head.
Frostleaf took notice and asked. "You okay?"
The Kuranta said nothing, but she raised her head back up towards the screen. Then, a nasty glare formed in her eyes, surprising the former mercenary.
"They all must perish..." Meteor muttered in anger.
Amiya stared at the body, silently paying her respects. Just then, Bagpipe spoke up. "Building clear. Let's check the next one." This indicates that Drudge isn't in this house too.
Amiya took one last glance at Carol's dead body before she walks out of the house with the rest. Going to the front door, she sees Sesa and Dobermann engaging a squad of soldiers that went from down the hill, which were then easily dispatched.
The squad then move up the hill rather than taking the road, since it's quicker to get to the next house.
Making it towards the house, the Reunion occupants fired at them. The squad stopped by the railing and return fire.
Some Reunion soldiers attempted to get out of the house, but were quickly picked off. Amiya switched to her M4A1 and killed two of them in the process.
When the Reunion occupants were dwindling in numbers, half of the squad pushed forward - which were Ch'en, Bagpipe, Amiya, and Kevin. The rest stayed by the road railing and give suppressing fire at the doors and windows.
Amiya move up to the front door and threw her last flashbang. She switch back to her shotty and went in the main room. She quickly dispatched three of the blinded enemies.
She went to the next room over, only to see Bagpipe and Kevin taking out the remaining soldiers in the house.
The last enemy tried to slash the vouivre with a knife, but the latter grab a hold of his arm and threw him to the ground. She then put a bullet to his head with her rifle.
"And that was for the villagers you and your buddies have killed." Bagpipe said.
After clearing the house, the squad went to search for Drudge Tulla. Bagpipe then went to the attic with Amiya following her. When they made it up, the attic was empty and dirty as they usually are. Luckily, there weren't any dead children this time.
However there were no signs of Drudge.
"This building is clear. Let's check the last building." Bagpipe informed as she and Amiya leaves the attic.
"Ok, Drudge is definitely gonna be in the last building she mentioned." Sesa said.
"We're getting close to justice!" Blaze remarked.
"How do you think Drudge is gonna die?" Swire asked.
"Probably a shot to the head." Hoshiguma replied.
"Not enough." Ch'en shook her head. After what he had done, a quick death seems like a mercy kill.
"I don't care what happens, I want to see this man dead." Greythroat said, coldly.
"He killed Lin, Swire, FEater, all of those marines, possibly even Hoshiguma, Bison, and Shaw - and may have even orchestrated the massacre at the village - he must pay." Amiya declared.
Her response got many nods of agreement, including the Doctor beside her. A man like Drudge should not roam free from all his atrocities.
The squad regrouped as they all move up to a grassy field onward to the last location of where Drudge is hiding. At the end of the village, resides a large barn on a farmstead.
"That seems like a good place to guard an HVT." Noir corne commented.
"And it's at the end of the village too." Yato added. "These soldiers may be bloodthirsty maniacs, but atleast they seem to be smart."
When the squad move up to the pathway and reached the entrance, they were met with fierce resistance from the remaining Reunion soldiers.
They all duck for cover by the iron fence entrance as gunfire erupted above them. Amiya took a peek and saw about nine reunion soldiers.
Three of them were by a small house on the right, One was armed with a machine gun placed by a bunch of barrels, Three more were by the shack on the left, and then another was by the second floor window of the said shack, and finally there was another heavy armored soldier out in the open, firing his RPD.
The squad tried to fire back, but they were outgunned by the barrage of bullets from the machine guns, forcing them to duck back down to cover.
"Those sure are some defense." Sesa said, impressed by the amount of firepower.
"Looks like they knew they are the last line of defense." Dobermann remarked.
"Don't think they would survive against Mosin 2-5, though." Steward said about the MI-28 pilot.
And he was right.
"Amiya! Use that air support." Ch'en ordered.
Amiya obliged and took out her walkie talkie. She move back so she could get a clear target at the barn. She then pressed the button.
"This is 2-5, we have the target. Standby." Mosin 2-5 said.
Half a minute later, the MI-28 arrives on her right, taking aim at the hostiles by the barn. Amiya then notices a white spray paint art of an odd looking rifle, which unknown to the audience - resembles a Mosin Nagant M1891. Hence the codename given 'Mosin'.
"Interesting gun." Closure said.
"I think Ambriel used something like that." Doctor replied.
"So it's a long-range rifle then?" Amiya asked.
"Most likely." Kal'tsit responded.
The defenders saw the helicopter and tired to shoot it down. The MI-28 responded by unleashing a barrage of bullets from its autocannon.
It targeted the heavy armored soldier, the latter stood no chance from the power of the autocannon as he gets shredded. The MI-28 then launched its rockets near the house, killing three of the defenders there.
One of them tried to leave his spot, but he was gunned down by the chopper.
Seeing that the defenders are dwindling, the squad stood up and returned fire. Amiya set her eyes on the soldier by the shack at the second floor window. She fired a burst on her M4A1, killing him.
The last three then got out of the shack in a desperate attempt to kill the squad, but it was proven to be a stupid idea as they all immediately got gunned down.
When the coast is clear, the MI-28 leaves the area as the squad then move up to the barn. Passing by dead bodies of the defenders, the team then gathered around the only door of the barn.
Ch'en and Amiya move closer as they could hear voices from the inside, indicating that it was Drudge and his bodyguards.
Before breaching the door, Ch'en turned to her squad and said. "Remember, we want Drudge Tulla alive. He's no good to us dead."
"But why?" Bagpipe asked, dissatisfied at the thought of sparing him.
"Most likely for interrogation." Ch'en responded.
"Let's go." Ch'en finished as she slightly opens the door and then tossed a flashbang in there. When it exploded, she breached in, taking out two of the bodyguards with her pistol before pistol whipped Drudge himself to the face.
It caused him to fell to the ground as the audience could get a clear view of Ch'en punching the ever lasting shit out of him, much to everyone's satisfaction.
Suddenly the screen went black.
"Aw what?! I want to see him get beat up more!" Blaze exclaimed.
"Yeah, what gives?" Franka said.
The audience then hears Ch'en's voice. "Why did you do it?!" It was followed with a punch sound, indicating she was still beating him up. "Where did you get the bomb!?"
"I-I didn't do it..." Drudge said, weakly.
"Oh, so he's being interrogated now?" Beagle said.
Dobermann nodded. "Looks like it. Though, hope it won't take long..." She muttered at the last part, wanting to see Drudge killed herself.
"And did he just said he did not detonate the explosion?" Kal'tsit wondered about his response.
"I don't believe it." Blaze said, crossing her arms.
"Shifting the blame to someone else? Typical." Spot scoffed at his attempt.
"Who then!?" Ch'en questioned, punching him again.
"I-I told you...I didn't do it!"
"Bullshit!" Swire exclaimed.
"He's really trying his best to save himself." Vulcan said.
"Who!? Give me a name!" Ch'en demanded, punching him again as she recited. "A name! I want their name!"
The screen went back to Amiya's perspective. The audience saw that Drudge was tied up in a chair that was placed in the center of the barn, and there was Ch'en beating him up. Drudge's face was very bruised, with both of his eyes covered in his blood.
Ch'en give him two more punches to the face, and then striking his stomach. All while Amiya and the rest of the Rhodes Island ops - along with Kevin, were all watching the scene, satisfied that the man is getting his ass beat.
They weren't the only ones satisfied as the audience were too. He had killed thousands of people and now he is paying the price.
"Oh this is awesome!" Blaze said with a smile.
"He's finally getting justice." Amiya replied.
"He killed thousands of civilians, soldiers, and even his own men. Now he's paying the price for it all." Dobermann remarked.
"For the marines." Swire mentioned.
"And for the villagers." Catapult added.
"And for Carol..." Meteor finished, feeling glad that she and those villagers were avenged.
After striking his stomach, Ch'en went behind him and pull the chair back. She then grabbed a nearby belt on the ground and starts choking him.
"Wow, you're going all out on him." Hoshiguma commented.
"He deserves it, really." Ch'en replied.
"Hell yeah he does. That's what he gets for killing my character and Lin's." Swire said.
When she was choking the life out of him, they all heard a cellphone ringing. Bagpipe then found the phone on the ground beside the ammo crate, picking it up.
"Captain. It's his cellphone." Bagpipe said.
Ch'en stops choking the man as she drops the belt. Bagpipe then tossed the phone to her as she answered the call, walking infront of the panting Drudge.
"Wonder who's the caller?" Kroos asked.
"I think we might know who it is." Fang said.
Ch'en pressed the phone to her ear, listening to the call. Then her face came to realization of who the caller was. With a scowl on her face, she dropped the phone before turning back to Drudge, pistol in hand.
Drudge's face went in shock as he begged. "N-No! No-" But he was cut off when Ch'en fired a shot to his head.
Drudge was finally dead.
"Finally, he's dead." Bagpipe said with a satisfied smile.
"And he died the way he killed his sister." Yato pointed out. "With a shot to the head."
"Oh yeah, I forgot about his sister." Noir said. "Looks like she got avenged as well."
"That's Karma for ya." Blaze remarked.
"Man, this is gonna be one helluva story for Liskarm when she gets back." Franka smirked.
"Who was that, sir?" Bagpipe asked, referring to the caller on the phone.
Ch'en turned to her and answered. "Buldrokkas'tee. The Patriot."
And with that, the screen went black, ending the mission.
________________________________________
"That was a great mission." Blaze said.
"I don't agree with that." Meteor replied. "Those poor villagers were murdered in cold blood, even those poor children. And Carol...is dead."
"Hey, but in the end, they were all avenged." Meteorite assured.
"I still wish for a stealth mission for once." Firewatch said.
"Couldn't agree more with you." Greythroat respond to her.
"I too wish for a mission involving solely on stealth." Rangers remarked. "It would be interesting to see."
"Well, hopefully we'll get one sooner." Noir Corne said.
"I'm kind of glad that I am also taking part of the action aswell." Dobermann said.
"And you were awesome in this mission." Beagle replied.
"I agree." Jessica nodded in agreement.
"And brutal too." Dur-Nar muttered, remembering how she killed that dog.
"I'm a bit worried that you might get hurt, instructor. Or worse, dead." Fang said, concernedly
"Oh c'mon, Fang!" Kroos exclaimed. "We're talking about Dobermann here! She was former Bolivarian military and is a strong and pretty fierce instructor to this day. She'll be fine."
This made Jessica to start worrying again. "Oh, I-I hope that never happens to you!"
"It's okay Jessica. I'm positive that Kroos is right on that." Dobermann respond while smiling at Kroos' support to her. She really did warm up to these three friends and so did they to her.
"I like that Mosin 2-5 guy on that helicopter. That thing was a beast." Sesa said.
"Appearance-wise, it looks more threatening than those Yanese helicopters, maybe even powerful too." Vulcan commented.
"It's cool that Kevin was also here to assist the guys." Ethan said. "I'm also glad he wasn't Reunion in this universe, after what they did to those villagers..."
"I feel disappointed at those guerillas." Hellagur remarked. "They were supposed to be soldiers, protecting their kind from any danger, and yet in this universe they are willing to kill innocents, and even raping them."
"Like Savages?" Beehunter questioned.
Hellagur went silent for a moment before nodding at her. "Yeah...like savages."
"So do you think I'll appear again in this universe?" Folinic asked, regarding her character who was now in Wolumonde.
"Maybe, but the real question here is, when will SHE appear?" Closure said, gesturing towards Kal'tsit.
"Me? I honestly don't know." Kal'tsit responded.
"Well I think you will be part of Rhodes Island in this universe. Like Amiya being one of the soldiers, then me being this 'Baseplate' character, there's a good chance you may appear as well." Closure stated.
"Maybe you could be Ch'en's supervisor." Amiya chimed in.
Both Ch'en and Kal'tsit stared at the cautus, the former haven't really considered that thought. Then again, this is an alternate universe, so it is possible.
"I guess..." Ch'en said, turning to the lynx, which only shrugged as a response.
Meanwhile, the Doctor put a hand under their unseen jaw. "I wonder what role I would be in this universe?" They muttered curiously.
"You know, I'm still wondering what he meant of how he didn't detonate that nuke." Hoshiguma queried
"It's probably just an excuse so he could be spared." Swire said.
"And if he did tell the truth, it was probably from Patriot's orders." Bagpipe chimed in. "He was in the phone moments ago."
"Speaking of which, let's go to the next mission. I'm willing to know more about Buldrokkas'tee in this universe given of how serious Miss Ch'en spoke about his name." Hellagur pointed out.
"Yeah, and it may tell us how he lost an arm too." Blaze added.
"Alright then." Amiya said as she pressed the button, starting up the next scene.

Welp, this marks the first chapter to reach over 10,000 words.
I hope you like the stuff i have added for this mission, like the heavy soldiers, Kevin's appearance, and seeing the dead bodies of the villagers (which includes Carol).
It's a bit weird that in the game, there were mentions of the Ultranationalists killing the villagers, but there were no corpses of the latter around the map.
So, I took the privilege and add them in for this react book. And yes, I included the children.
If you think the events in this Safehouse mission was horrible, hahaha....you ain't seen nothing yet.
Anyways, take a guess on who is going to be MacMillan in the next chapter. I'm sure some of you may already know.
See you in "All ghillied up."
