~~~~~~~~~~~~~Rebirth~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She couldn't breathe, even as she greedily sucked in gasps of air. Nothing she did seemed to help the oxygen flow to her lungs, not like she could do much other than inhale as much cool air as possible before wheezing it out as her heart clenched in fear and dread. It didn't make sense in her mind when and how this all started, only that she was once in the kitchen sitting at the counter laughing while her mother cooked dinner with a goofy dance to music that she had playing and her father sat on his favorite recliner in the living room grumbling angrily about his favorite football team losing to the other team; and now she was inside her bedroom closet with her back shoved so close to the wall she may as well have been a part of it. She couldn't remember how she even got upstairs to hide in her bedroom, couldn't recall the scuffle inside of it that tore it apart before ending up in the closet in hopes to disappear. Her body trembled while her eyes took in the intimidating image of a tall male before her, standing in front of her opened creaking closet door that led into her disastrous bedroom. Try as she might, as she pushed herself up against the wall even more in failed attempts to put distance between her and this man, there was nowhere else to run and hide.
Not while he stood in the way of her only escape, not while his once gentle loving gaze bore down upon her in a cold menacing look. "P-please... Don't hurt me." She pleaded out a whimper, curling into herself while hoping and praying that he would spare her.
She didn't think he would, however, he didn't even show mercy to her mother and father; not caring as they begged and pleaded with him to spare them as well. He wouldn't listen, he didn't even bat his eyes as their cries of agony reached his pierced ears. Not a flinch in his skin as his monster's tore them apart bit by bit. The only expression that seemed to break through was absolute revulsion when the warm blood splattered onto him. Other than that, It didn't seem to affect him at all. Not the sound of their flesh being torn open, the sight and smell of their blood splattering all over the floor and walls; it didn't change his cold expression and stoney gaze.
The man before her shifted his stance, his shoulder lightly brushing against her broken closet door that creaked as it moved ever so slightly. "You know I can't do that." His deep voice that once brought her comfort only scared her more, the same voice that would speak soothingly to her when she was afraid now only filled her with dread. His once gentle features that smiled softly at her now bore the look of a killer with her parent's blood splattered upon his skin as a testimony to his actions from downstairs.
"Suguru..." Her voice hitched, desperation clawing at her.
"There won't be any exceptions in my new world, Namari." A black shadowed portal began to form and opened behind him as a hideous monster crawled out, moaning and groaning deeply in a gurgling sound as if it was drowning; even though it wasn't. Its long spindly arms reached out; six arms in total emerging from the depths of the portal, each baring 6-inch claw's. An arm shot out and pierced her disheveled bed; tearing her comforter, another slams onto her desk and basically shattered it; sending her school paper's flying, two then crashed into the walls through pictures of her family and friends, and two to the floor to balance its self. Dozens of eyes opened and then spun around like it was dizzy, slowly stopping and focusing and unfocusing as it tried to take in its surroundings. A large mouth then opened, revealing hundreds of razor-sharp fangs while a foul odor filled the air. "Not even for you."
The smell of death and decay wafted from its rancid breath.
Then, the eyes seemed to focus and lock onto her semi hidden form inside her closet in a mere instant, she really had nowhere to go or run. Her breaths came quicker as she tried crawling back even more, the creature loomed close enough for her to take notice of her parents blood still fresh and dripping from its claws and fangs, hoping beyond belief that this was all a nightmare and that when she woke he would sooth her fear's and promise her as always that he would protect her no matter what.
But clearly this wouldn't be like other times. She couldn't handle this, not from him, her protector and best friend.
Anyone but him.
"No hard feelings you know?" A mocking smile soon appeared on his face as the monster grew ever closer and she could almost feel its slobber hitting her cheek. "But I have no use for monkeys in my new world."
He didn't even shed a tear as his beast descended upon the one that he had once claimed to care for the most.
After all, she was just a useless monkey to him, and he was far more superior than her.
