The dust begins to settle, we manage to peer through the dust and see big red eyes staring back at us.

Hajime: "I guess that's the thing that's suppose to keep you here?"

Yue: *nod*

Hajime took his cloak and tossed it over Yue, giving Hajime a confused look.

Hajime: "What? You've gotta wear something"

Yue:*pout* "Don't look at me like that!"

Hajime took a knee, gesturing Yue to ride on his back. As for me, I transformed my weapon to a spear and stared down the guardian as Hajime walks to my side.

Kaito: "You know the exit is just past there"

Hajime: "But there's a big ugly creature standing in our way"

We turned to each other and nod, I ran to the right as Hajime runs to the left. I bide my time, running around the monster as I wait for an opportunity to strike.

Hajime went and began taking shots at the beast, gaining it's attention and giving me a chance to attack. I slide to a stop before changing direction towards the monster, I jumped and thrust my spear at one of his legs but my spear bounces off upon contact. I decided to continue with my attacks, deciding to attack the underside of it's shell.

I slash my spear across the back of it's joints before grabbing the end handle of my spear as I imagine a katana. I drew the handle as spear turned back into an umbrella, acting as a sheath for my handle that has a Katana blade.

I then dashed across the monsters underbelly, slicing and dicing as it roars in pain. The monster's crab-like legs began raising up and I feared for the worst. I sheathed my Katana and transformed my umbrella into a cannon and shoot the ground behind me, causing the recoil to launch me away just in time as the monster slammed the ground from where I stood.

Kaito: "It's outer shell is quite strong"

Hajime: "Yeah, no kidding"

Hajime holds his revolver with his mouth before tossing a flash grenade under the monster, stunning it, giving us time to regroup behind a pillar. Hajime reloads his revolver as I peek around the pillar and look for a weak spot.

The monster notices us and aimed it's stinger towards us, shooting a purple ray from the tip causing us to run from our cover. Hajime provided covering fire for me as I charged at the monster once again.

I jumped high in the air, grabbing it's attention as it points its pincer towards me and shoots out dozens of stone stakes towards me. I opened my umbrella just in time and shielded me from the attack, I then spun around while I transformed my shield into a single shot canon and shot at the shell that covered it's head.

The monster growls as my attack connects, as the smoke fades I noticed some slight rusting from where my attack landed before landing back to Hajime. The monster tries one more time to take us out by swinging it's pincers at us, we jumped back just in time as Hajime shoots at it's head one more time at the spot that I hit.

Hajime: "Damn...We've gotta crack through that shell if we wanna take this thing down"

Yue decides to hop off Hajime and tied his cloak around her. The Monster then launched another barrage of stakes, forcing me to shield ourselves with my umbrella. I heard Hajime fumble a bit followed by slurping, I looked behind me and saw Yue sucking on Hajime's blood. My attention was pulled back by the sudden shaking of the room, I looked over and saw the monster's eyes glow red as the whole room began morphing around.

Hajime: "So it can control the ground around itself. Nice trick but it happens to be my specialty too"

Hajime then began Transmuting the ground around the monster, overpowering it as he makes the ground underneath the monster unstable, knocking him around.

Once Yue had drunk her fill of Hajime's blood, she stood in front of the monster and conjured a spell.

Yue: "<<Azure Blaze>>"

Looking up, An Azure ball of fire began forming above the monster, it continues to grow until it's as big as The Sun. After it became big enough to fully encompasses the monster, she releases it downward as the giant Azure flame collapses on the monster dealing massive damage as it squirms around in pain.

Yue then began stumbling before falling to Hajime's arm and look at her in worry.

Hajime: "Hey, you don't look so good"

Yue: "I'm fine, it's just that high-level spells takes too much out of me"

Kaito: "That was a good effort Yue, but do you mind doing it again?"

Yue: "I can, but it won't be as strong"

Hajime: "What do you have in mind?"

Kaito: "The shell on it's head is weakened. Yue, I need you to hit it in the same spot so Hajime could crack it open"

Hajime: "Alright, got it"

Kaito: "When you got an opportunity to strike, take it. Yue, wait for my signal"

Hajime & Yue: "Right!"

I transformed my weapon back into a spear but this time I pull out the katana also, giving me two weapons to work with

Myriad Manifestation Umbrella (Double sword form)

We then commenced our attack, I rushed in head on as Hajime took to the side and try to poke it with his revolver. The monster's focus was on me, when it saw me rushing, it raised one of it's legs and slammed it towards me. I manage to evade the attack by sliding under it before continuing where I left off.

Now with my dual swords, I relentlessly began slashing across it's underbelly as it squirms around in pain. After a few more swings, I formed my dual swords back into one before turning it into a canon and shot the Monster upwards, knocking it up in midair.

In quick succession, I transformed my weapon to a lance and jumped after the monster to stab it's underbelly while in mid-air, suspending it further before hopping back down. The Monster slammed back down to the ground, incapacitated, giving Hajime the chance to get on top of it's head and split it's shell open.

Kaito: "Now Yue!"

Yue: "<<Azure Blaze>>"

The Azure flame began forming on top of the monster once again, this time in a much smaller scale, Yue then sends the spell down on it's head as it squirms around in pain. Hajime took this chance and jumped on the monsters and and cracked the shell open with his revolver. Killing it.

(3rd POV)(Timeskip)

After the battle, Hajime transmuted a small part of the room, surrounding him, Kaito and Yue in stone walls as Kaito made a camp fire. Hajime manage to break off a piece of the Crustacean monster and is currently separating the meat from the shell just as Kaito lights the fire.

Hajime: "If I remember right...300 years ago, the vampires were supposedly to be eradicated in a war"

Yue: "Has it already been that long?"

Hajime: "then that must've started after you were sealed...wait, how old does that make you exactly?"

Yue:*pout* "You didn't have to be rude"

Kaito: "I'll leave you guys to it. I'll go check something back over there"

Kaito stood up from his place near the fire and went back to what little remains of corpse that was once the crustacean monster, he rummages around, being careful not to get smothered in its guts before reaching the stinger of the monster.

Kaito reached for his weapon and cut off the center tip of the stinger, once he retrieved the part, he pulls out his status plate and looks at his Myriad Manifestation Umbrella before pulling up it's status using his status bar.

To upgrade the weapon, you must open the status window of the weapon before placing the ingredient inside to upgrade it.

Kaito: "So just like this?"

Kaito placed his status plate firmly in-front of him before pushing the monster's material through, his status plate became a portal for Kaito to place any materials to upgrade his weapon. Kaito manages to push the entire material through his status plate as his weapon started to glow white for a little while before slowly dimming down.

Kaito looks over to his Status plate to see a Textbox, showing him a list of materials before he could level up his weapon

Kaito:*thought* "I still need 8 more materials for it's full potential, hopefully I can get it at the last next boss"

Hajime:*distant* "Okay, One question at a time!"

Kaito: "Nagumo seems to be of free spirits now, a far cry from who he was before"

[Flashback]

In a Gladiator arena two weapons clash amongst each other, the first is a sword and the other a spear. The two fighters locked their weapons together as they stare down their opponent before kicking each other away and assumed their stance with their respective weapons.

The two fighters that are in the arena are, The Hero, Kouki and the former Battle Mage, Kaito Kurosawa.

Kouki: "You're as strong as ever, Kaito-kun"

Kaito: "It's all part of training, can't let you outclass me that easily"

Kouki: "That changes today, of course. As I bring you down with my most powerful ability. Soar unto heaven, O divine wings <<Celestial Flash!>>

Kaito: "I guess I'll humor you on that one"

Kaito took a much wider stance as he prepares to cast <<Rising dragon Soars the Sky>>. The tip of his spear starts to build up blue energy as he waves his spear around before launching his attack forward.

The two spells meet in the middle but Kaito's dragon manages to break through the tie and continues its advances towards Kouki. Anticipating this situation, Kouki manages to leap high in the air to avoid Kaito's attack.

Kouki manages to do so, causing him to have a smile of accomplishment but he failed to notice Kaito's grin. Kaito twirls his spear around him before raising the tip of his spear upwards, the dragon silhouette follow's the movement of the spear as it turns it's entire body before raising it's body and bite Kouki whole. Hitting him with the full force of his attack, declaring him the victor.

Cheers then erupted as their classmates congratulated both of them for their efforts from their stands. Kaito gave a hand to Kouki and pulls him to his feet before patting his shoulder and went to their assigned lockers.

In the locker room, Kaito was greeted by Nagumo, who was excited to see him.

Nagumo: "Oh man, that was amazing! I knew you could pull it off"

Kaito: "Well, I couldn't have pulled it off without your help"

Nagumo: "No...I just thought of the concept, you're the one who actually put the work in"

Kaito manages to remove the upper part of his armor and kept away his spear before placing a firm, reassuring hand on Nagumo's shoulder.

Kaito: "Don't cut yourself short, You're talented and have lot's of potential"

Nagumo: "You really think that?"

Kaito: "i know that for a fact, don't let others say what you can and can't do"

(Kaito POV)[Present time]

I shook away my thoughts before walking back to the fire pit. When I got back, I found Yue sleeping on Hajime's lap as he looks down on the fire, still wide awake.

Hajime: "I have something to ask"

Kaito: "Okay, ask away"

I sat back down to my original spot as Hajime poke the fire with a stick.

Hajime: "Do you believe all the crap the kingdom says? About all this Gods and Demons and the wars that accompanies them"

Kaito: "Is this about the things that's happening with Yue?"

Nagumo: "..."

Kaito:*sigh* "To tell you the truth, I don't really care all that much about what the kingdom says"

Hajime: "So you just accept all the lies that's given to you?"

Kaito: "Everything happens for reasons, whether that reason is obvious or not. As long as I could move forward to the one truth that I believe"

Hajime: "Then you're an idiot, choosing to let your life be controlled by others instead of actually doing it with your own hands"

Kaito: "There's no such thing as someone else controlling your life, that's just a lie that you tell yourself whenever things don't go the way you want. You blame others for you mishaps."

Hajime:*gritting* "What did you say?!"

Kaito: "You let other people control you because you let them to. You sit in the sidelines when you could've been standing up to everything that comes your way. Much like what you're doing now"

Hajime lightens his glare towards me as he now gives more of a confused look.

Kaito: "You're now beginning to fight your own battles, with your own power...and was able to save someone because of it"

Hajime: "I only did it because Yue and I are the same, we were betrayed by the people we thought we could trust"

Kaito: "And because of that you two grew close to one another, that pain and suffering help you to connect and heal as one. It's like I said, Everything happens for a reason"

Hajime: "Are you saying it was right for me to get betrayed!? THAT I SHOULD JUST LET PEOPLE WALK OVER ME, LIKE I'M SOME TRASH IN THE SIDEWALK!!

Kaito: "I'm saying that rather than think that the whole world is against you, you should view it as the world pointing you in a direction you're suppose to. To be able to show your true potential and make opportunities you never thought possible"

Hajime then took a deep breath and calmed down before looking down on Yue as he strokes her long blonde hair.

Hajime: "Well then Life could go screw itself, cause I don't need it telling me what to do. Once I go back to the surface, I'll find a way back home and leave this god forsaken world"

Kaito:*hiss* "Argh!"

Hajime: "What's wrong with you?"

Kaito: "I think your edginess cut me a bit"

Hajime: "Call me edgy again, I dare you!"

Hajime quickly drew his Doner(Revolver) and aims it towards Kaito, who nonchalantly moves the gun away with his umbrella.

Kaito: "Case in point"

Hajime:*sigh* "Whatever..."

Kaito: "No matter what tough guy act you pull, you'll still be the same Nagumo in the inside"

Hajime:*slouches back* "You really think that, do you?"

Kaito:*nod* "Nothing can change who you are, no matter what situation you've been through. Good night, Hajime"

Hajime: "Hmmm, yeah"

(The next day)

After a well rested sleep, we continue venturing forward. Maneuvering through the chasms and trenches before repelling down, but thanks to a rotor feature on my umbrella I decided to descend slowly and with grace.

A while later we manage to reach a level with withered trees and a rocky plain, from there we decided to take a short break and went on to tell our stories to Yue along with Hajime's plan to go back home.

Yue: "You're planning on going back home?"

Hajime: "Yeah, that's the plan. I mean a lot has changed about me, but my ultimate goal is still finding a way back home"

Yue: "I'd say the same...but I have no home now"

Hajime: "Then...How about you come with me?"

Yue: "Really?"

Hajime: "Though my world can get pretty boring since we don't have any magic in it. But I'm pretty sure we can work something out. What do you think?"

Yue: "hmm..."

Hajime: "You don't have to, It's all up to you"

Yue:*to Kaito* "Are you going back home too?"

Kaito: "It's tempting, but I'm gonna have to pass"

Yue: "Why not?"

Kaito: "Because unlike the others, I don't have anything waiting for me back home. Families are overseas and I doubt they'll come looking for me, all my gaming buddies all have families or work. So in the end I'm still alone, that's why I plan on starting a new life here. Besides, I still have to find my own glory"

Yue: "Glory..."

Kaito: "It's nothing, just forget about it"

Our conversation was cut short by the sudden shaking of the ground. We all looked around to see the cause of it, that's when I saw a grey Tyrannosaurus stomping on a flowerbed. before staring directly at us and roared in our faces.

Kaito: "Move, now!"

I pushed them to their feet as we begin our mad dash away from the dinosaur. I grabbed Yue and placed her on Hajime's back so we could quicken up our pace, as we kept on running, more and more dinosaurs began coming after us.

Kaito: "To think that we'd be fighting extinct creatures"

Hajime: "Not really a part of my bucket list, to be honest"

Kaito: "Well who knows, Maybe dying to a Flowery Tyrannosaurus doesn't sound so bad"

We look back and see the top of the Dinosaur's heads have a flower growing out of it.

Hajime: "Why do they have flower ornaments on their heads!"

Yue: "It's pretty cute"

The sound of footsteps began to multiply and the shaking of the ground grew worse, we looked back to see the pack of Tyrannosaurs turned into a horde, all of them coming towards us with relentless vigor.

Kaito: "That T-rex we saw was stepping on a bed of roses, a few seconds later a flower sprouted on their heads"

Hajime: "That means those plants are some sort of parasites. Which means if we're gonna have to beat all of these things, we gonna have kill the one that's controlling them"

Kaito: "You don't fancy a good horde mode, Hajime?"

Hajime: "I'd much rather stay alive thank you"

Kaito: "Hold that thought"

I gestured over to our side just as a dinosaur was about to bite us, Me and Hajime jumped down a crack on the ground just as the T-rex was about to take a bite out of us. WE wait around our new hiding spot, waiting for the dinosaurs to pass by us. Yue took this time to lean down towards Hajime before nibbling on his neck and sucked his blood.

Once the ground stopped shaking, we stepped out and scout around the area. We manage to follow a trail of greenery and led us to a stone hill covered in moss and vines, Yue nibbled on Hajime's neck as we continued towards the hill.

We manage to find an opening in the hill and noticed it kept getting greener deeper inside. Yue then nibbled on Hajime once again, as he's starting to getting deadpanned at her actions

Hajime: "Hey, Little Vampire princess. Could you maybe lay off and stop snacking on me for a minute?"

Yue: "I can't help it"

Hajime: "Come on, you still can't be that tired!?"

Kaito: "He's right you know. Look over there, it's got to be the one that's controlling those dinosaurs"

Right on que a T-rex stomped it's way towards us and roars, alerting every dinosaur nearby. They all roared menacingly before stomping towards our direction, prompting us to make a run towards the opening on the hill.

We squeezed our way through, the narrow path before Hajime seals the entrance off with his Transmuting.

Hajime: "There, no way they're getting past this"

Yue: "Good job"

Hajime: "If you want to repay me, you could maybe stop making me carry you"

Yue: "I guess that's fair"

Hajime placed his backpack down after Yue hopped to the ground before looking at the spacious room we were in, I turned my weapon into a spear as Hajime pulled out his Doner before raising our guard up.

Kaito: "I got a bad feeling about this..."

hajime: "My <<Sense Presence>> skill hasn't picked up anything yet"

Kaito: "I don't need any threat detecting skill to know what a boss room looks like"

Several floating Green orbs then float towards us, raising our guard up further. I manage to get in-front of the two and swat away the closest ones to us before turning my weapon into a shield as Hajime transmutes the ground around us to make a dome around ourselves to protect us.

Hajime: "This must be an attack from the enemy, Yue, are you alright? Yue?"

Hajime and I looked behind us and see Yue with a weird expression on her face as she looks at us blankly. She then snapped out of her trance and charges up an orb of light that pointed directly at us.

Kaito: "Yue? Take it easy now"

Yue: "Hajime, Kaito...Run!"

Yue sends out her attack, as we dove away just in time. We rolled away from Yue, we look at her and noticed a flower sprouted on her head.

Kaito: "Well, this is certainly a predicament"

Hajime: "Did one of those floating green orbs hit you?"

Yue only sends out another attack towards us as we run around to avoid her attacks while also avoiding the floating Green orbs around us. Yue casts another spell and sends it towards us, but instead of hitting us directly, she hits the green orbs around us. We cough as we try not to breathe the green gas around us.

A green figure appears behind Yue, It's a feminine figure with a large flower on her head in a green leafy dress. The woman walked behind Yue, sending a shiver down her spine as the woman reveals her face to her

Kaito: "Phewie! It's a good thing I'm not a vegan"

The creature looked shocked as the green mist fades away and saw my umbrella opened before I turned it back into a spear.

Kaito: "We need to take that thing out to save Yue"

Hajime: "Yeah I know"

Kaito: "I'll try to separate her from that thing, if I can't just take the shot"

Hajime: "..."

Kaito:*sigh* "She's counting on you, Hajime. Get ready"

I hold my spear behind me as I walk towards the monster, leaving behind Hajime who grips his Doner with determination.

(3rd POV)

Kaito twirls his spear around before thrusts his spear towards the monster who was startled and used Yue as a human shield. Kaito feints his thrust before twirling his spear again before swinging to the side.

The monster moved Yue towards Kaito attack, causing him to faint his attack again as he jumps back to create some space. The monster controls Yue to send out an attack towards Kaito.

Yue: "Watch out!"

Yue sends out her attack which Kaito dodged effortlessly by moving side-to-side as he fluidly transforms his weapon to a katana and swung it at the monster who keeps using Yue as a human shield, leading him to stop his attack halfway.

Kaito then flips his Katana over his arm, before spinning in place, surprising the monster along with Yue. Kaito took advantage of their vulnerability as he caught his katana and cuts the flower from Yue's head before pulling her away and dove to his shadow and disappeared from it's sights.

The monster looks around, figuring out where Kaito went before landing it's eyes towards Hajime who aims his Doner directly towards the monster with a sinister grin on his face, shocking it.

Hajime: "Well this makes things easy"

Hajime wasted no time as he shoots the monster directly in the chest before adding a few more to fully kill of the monster. Once the creature has been taken out, Kaito rose from the shadows with Yue in her arms.

Yue: "Why didn't you just pierced your weapon through me?"

Kaito: "That's not how I do things, I leave no-one behind. You're one of us now, so that includes you too"

Hajime: "Are you two alright?"

After Hajime checked that everybody is okay, He made a shelter with a firepit once again as they took some time to rest. Hajime scavenged around his backpack for some leftover meat before cooking it by the fire and handing it towards Yue.

Hajime: "Here, I bet you're hungry"

Yue: "I don't eat"

Hajime: "Yeah sure, because a vampire that's been trapped for 300 years doesn't eat at all"

Kaito: "I'll take it"

Kaito yoinked the cooked meat from Hajime before digging in the tough texture of the meat

Hajime: "Don't you ever feel hungry, at all?"

Yue: "I was before, but I'm fine now"

Kaito: "I would blame her though, you're a lousy cook, Hajime"

Hajime: "Stop complaining! If you're not gonna eat it then I will"

Hajime: "But seriously, did you eat something? I guess I kind of missed that part"

Yue then raised her hand and points towards Hajime

Yue: "I drink your blood"

Hajime: "Woah, so if you have blood, you won't need anything else to survive?"

Yue: "I can get nutrients from other food, but blood is the more effective way to feed"

Hajime: "Interesting..."

Yue then crawls towards Hajime causing him to look at her confused as she sat up and licked her lips

Hajime: "Uhh, Why are you licking your lips?"

Kaito: "i think I want to step out a bit. Good luck, Hajime"

Hajime: "Huh? Wait, Kaito?"

Yue then stood up before taking off Hajime's robe before staring at him with starving eyes

Hajime: "Yue, what are you doing?"

Yue then slowly walks towards Hajime as he crawls away from her before getting cornered to a wall

Hajime: "Ho-Hold on a second. Kaito, come on man help me out here. Kaito? Kaito!"

(Timeskip)

After the party was well rested, they continue their trek down the dungeon, managing to reach a stairwell that leads deeper into the dungeon before navigating through complex chasms as they reach a well decorated Golden door.

The group walks towards it before slowly pushing it open, getting engulfed in the bright light to the next room as they continue their path towards the 100th floor

*sigh* I'm tired, need sleep.

Screw that coin flip, 50/50 my ass, but what's done is done I suppose
