[Orcus Labyrinth 20th floor]

The heroes' objective for today is to explore The great Orcus Labyrinth in hopes of leveling up and strengthening their skills but were ambushed by monsters. Luckily they were taken down with ease with the help of their Hero, who is the leader of the group, but one manages to slip past the vanguard and surprised the team's Transmuter. The transmuter manages to block the monster's initial swing but he fell soon after. The monster then tried to finish the transmuter but a spearhead pierces through the monsters head, taking him down

Spearman: "You should really be more careful, Nagumo"

[Kaito Kurosawa; Occupation: Battle Mage]

Transmuter: "Thank you, Kurosawa"

Kaito: "Don't mention it"

Warrior: "What's the point of even having a sword if you're useless with it"

[Daisuke Hiyama; Occupation: Light Warrior]

A swordmaster and Priest then gathered around the transmuter to see if he is alright.

[Hajime Nagumo; Occupation: Transmuter]

Priest: "Are you alright, Nagumo?"

Nagumo: "Yeah"

[Kaori Shirasaki; Occupation: Priest]

Hero: "You just have to work harder and keep training. If I were you I'd use every single free time to train and level up my skills"

Kaito: "His goody two-shoes attitude is starting to get annoying"

[Kouki Amanogawa; Occupation: Hero]

Swordmaster: "*giggle* Come on, It can't be that bad?

Kaito: "Oh it's worse than bad, honestly I don't know how you're sane with him of all people, Shizuku"

Swordmaster: "You'll get used to it I guess"

[Shizuku Yaegashi; Occupation: Swordmaster]

Kaori: "Hey guys, what's that up there?

The adventurers looked up to see a crack on the wall, caused by Kaito's bullet, slowly crumble and reveal a bright blue crystal on the wall

Kaori: "It's so shiny"

Daisuke: "*smirk* Oh yeah!"

Paladin: "That's a Glanz Crystal, You don't see big ones like that too often."

[Meld Loggins; Occupation: Paladin]

Meld: "It's also said to be a popular engagement ring stone

Kaori: "It's so beautiful"

Daisuke then climbed up to reach for the crystal

Daisuke: "Well then since we're here, might as well grab it"

Kaito: "Hold on a second, That crystal could also be used as a trap!"

Daisuke: "Just shut your mouth alright? You worry too much"

Daisuke then reached for the crystal, once he touched it, the crystal's blue hue turned red as it envelops the room in a bright light before teleporting them further into the dungeon.

(Kaito's POV) [Orcus Labyrinth 62nd floor)

Once the light died down, I looked at our surroundings to see that we were no longer in a cave, instead, we're on a long bridge with purple crystals to act as our light source. Our attention was then pulled towards the summoning circle in front of us and what emerged are armies of skeletons and a large black dragon, something that is only present on the lower floors of the Labyrinth.

Kaito: "I worry too much, huh?"

Meld: "Everyone, fall back to the stairs, quickly!"

They then followed Sir Meld's orders as Shizuku, Kouki, and I are holding the enemies back. Kouki charged at a skeleton that was near us and pushed him back to Shizuku who finishes it off

Kouki: Thanks, Shizuku!

I thrust my spear at a skeleton that Kouki didn't notice approach, startling him a bit before turning to me

Kaito: "Now's not the time for thanks, we still got people to save. Shizuki, you and Kouki take the right flank, I'll deal with the left"

Shizuku & Kouki: "Roger!"

We then turned our attention to the Behemoth as it slowly approaches Kaori. Luckily Sir Meld managed to intercept and cast Hallowed Ground  around them but it didn't hold long as the Behemoth forces itself in the barrier, breaking it in the process.

My sword then built up blue energy as I was charging up my skill <<Dragon Breaks the Ranks>>.

Kaito: "Get down!"

Once my weapon was fully charged I charged at the Behemoth with a silhouette of a blue dragon surrounding me, halting its advance and forcing it back from the others

Kaito: "Captain Meld, if you don't mind I'd like to take command. Just focus on getting out of here"

Captain Meld looked at me before nodding in affirmation as Nagumo kept the Behemoth at bay with his Transmutation.

Kaito: "Kaori, Take care of the injured. Thief! Try and see if you can find a path for us to escape. Do not let anyone die!"

Nagumo: "This won't hold for long, Captain Meld! Hurry and get Shirasaki out of here!"

Meld: "I promise we'll come back for you"

Sir Meld then carried Kaori before regrouping with the rest.

Kaito: "I'll try to hold out then. As for you...how about a few rounds."

I twirled my spear around before setting it firmly behind my back, I then dashed into a sprint towards the Behemoth in an effort to buy some more time. I noticed pillars of rock slowly coming up from the bridge.

Kaito: *thought* "Thank you, Nagumo"

I jumped on the pillars, hopping from one to the other before leaping high from the last pillar towards the Behemoth before thrusting my spear towards its head. It didn't pierce through but it did cause it to stumble back further, giving the others more space to breath.

My attacks didn't relent, I continued piercing the Behemoth with my spear while dodging the Behemoth's swipes form it's claws. As I evade it's attempt at biting me, I noticed one of my classmate's in danger as she's surrounded by the skeletons. 

The tip of my spear starts building up blue energy once again as I prepare to cast my ultimate skill. Once my feet are planted to the ground I cast my skill <<Rising Dragon Soars the Sky>>. The energy that built up formed a dragon from the tip of my spear as I guide it towards my classmate, once the dragon destroyed the skeletons, I pivot back towards the Behemoth while pulling my spear to the front as my dragon bit the Behemoth causing damage to it and stumbling it back further.

Meld: "Run kid! We'll cover you!"

Meld and the others then began casting spells and launching them at the Behemoth, Once I reached Nagumo I manifest 3 orbs before sending it towards the Behemoth, giving us more time to escape. We both ran towards our classmates but Nagumo tripped on a rock before falling to the ground. I rushed to Nagumo and help him up while the others kept launching spells to keep the Behemoth at bay.

Kaito: "It's no time to rest"

I then dragged Nagumo up before running back to safety, but then one of the spells misfire and it was heading straight for us. On instinct, I rolled away from the impact as it exploded behind me

Kaito: 'Wait...Behind me!'

I then turned around and saw the spell hit Nagumo directly causing him to get blasted away as the bridge began to crumble.

Kaori: "Nagumo!"

In a last-ditch effort, I quickly ran up and jumped to Nagumo before grabbing his arm and threw him behind me causing us to swap places so I was the one who was gonna fall, but before I could go down to the deep darkness beneath me I saw Daisuke with an evil grin on his face

Kaito: 'That son of a bitch!'

So this is it, this is how my story will end. There were so many things that I still wanted to do, but at least I'll die knowing that I saved my classmate, but right as Nagumo was about to land safely the ground beneath his foot crumbled causing him to fall down with me.

Kaito: "Oh you gotta be kidding me!"

(3rd POV) (Present time)

Kaito: *groan*

Kaito groans awake and in immense pain, body feels stiff and sore but nonetheless he sat up and surveyed his surroundings. He saw that he was still in the dungeon but felt that the level that he is on is more menacing than the other levels he has been in.

Kaito: "*thought* Let's see, we began at the 20th floor before getting teleported deeper into the labyrinth by a crystal and continue to deeper into the labyrinth"

Before Kaito could dwell deeper, he heard a growl in front of him. He raised his head and noticed a Tall white grizzly bear with red eyes staring at him with foamed teeth.

Kaito: "A nuisance, just when I woke up too"

Kaito reached for his spear behind him just as the bear lunged at Kaito, he manages to grab his spear and pierce the bear's head, killing it. Kaito stood up and dust off his armor before hearing more growls around him, he stood up straight and notices packs of wolves, bears, and rabbits all surrounding him as he's being stared with malicious intent from their glowing red eyes.

Kaito: "I have to get out of here"

Kaito channels <<Dragon Breaks the Ranks>> lunging at a pack of wolves behind him while being surrounded by a silhouette of a dragon protecting him. Once he was able to break through, he continued his momentum forward as he broke into a sprint, dodging any attacks the packs might hurl at him.

???: "AAAAAHHHHH!"

Kaito heard a loud scream accompanied by something liquid gushing out.

Kaito: "Nagumo!"

Kaito immediately slides to a stop as he manifests 3 golden orbs before sending it towards the pack that's after him, shrouding him in dust, giving him a chance to escape. Once he reached an open space in the labyrinth, he noticed Nagumo backed into a corner with the white grizzly bear towering over him. 

Kaito wasted no time dashing to his rescue, he thrusts his spear to the bear's back before hurling the beast behind him before stabbing it's head. When he confirmed the bear was dead, he turned to Nagumo who was holding a stump where his left arm was suppose to be,

Kaito: "Need a hand?"

Kaito twirls his spear over to his left hand before offering his right hand to Nagumo, He reached to grab Kaito's hand before getting pulled to his feet with his arm now over his shoulder. Before they could get a chance to recover, the pack that was chasing Kaito finally caught up to them.

Kaito and Nagumo made a run for it, with Nagumo still on his shoulder, he twirls his spear over to his right and swept it around them, knocking back any monsters that tried to get close. The two then managed to reach a clearing with one massive rock at the center of the room. Kaito dragged Nagumo towards  the rock and set him down to lean on it.

Kaito: "Can you still use, Transmutation?"

Nagumo: "I think so..."

Kaito: "Then dig yourself a hole through that rock, make it your shelter"

Nagumo: "But what about you?"

Kaito and Nagumo then spotted the pack surrounding them, giving them no chance to escape.

Kaito: "I'll buy us some time"

Kaito faced the pack surrounding them, each giving their specific growl as Kaito just glared at them calculatively. When Nagumo started transmuting the rock, a wolf monster seized his moment to attack, pouncing on Nagumo but was intercepted by Kaito, who thrusts his spear towards the wolf's underbelly as the rest of the monsters began attacking him.

With the wolf still at the end of his spear, Kaito swung it around him, doing a full sweep and caused the wolf to slide of his spear and into two rabbits. The other rabbit monsters jumped to Kaito before jumping again in mid air before sending a kick towards him, which he blocked with his spear before swatting them away.

Nagumo: "It's done!"

Kaito notices two bears and three wolves behind him, each sending out an elemental attack. The wolf sending out a wave of electricity while the bears hurled a wave of sharp wind all of which Kaito just deflected before casting <<Falling Flower Palm>>. He builds up energy on his left hand before pushing it in-front of him, sending out a wave of petals strong enough to force the beasts back. 

Kaito took this chance to run towards Nagumo who is now deep in his hole that he transmuted. A wolf beast then pounce on Kaito just as he was about to jump into the hole, biting through his armor and into his shoulder, causing him to groan in pain.

Kaito: "Argh!"

Nagumo: "Kaito!"

Nagumo was about to reach out to Kaito but he was pulled back by the wolf. Kaito manages to grab ahold of the wolf on his back, before throwing it to the ground before stabbing it's head. He then looked around and finds himself in the middle of the pack, all with hungry expressions in their eyes. 

This only caused Kaito to scoff before looking back at Nagumo with a solemn look

Kaito: "Go on without me!"

Nagumo: "But there's still a cha-"

Kaito: "This is the end of the road for me, my journey is over. But I can tell you this Nagumo Hajime..."

Kaito's solemn look then morphed into a radiant smile that shined bright in contrast to the dark situation he was in.

Kaito: "I'm glad to have fought by your side."

This surprises Nagumo, causing him to widen his eyes in surprise before closing the hole just as he began to pass out. 

Back with Kaito, he looks around himself once more, assessing his situation and finding no way out of his predicament. Yet despite the circumstances he chose to wear a smile before taking a stance with his spear. 

Kaito: "The path to Glory is forward. No going back"

Kaito let out a battle cry before charging head on as the Beasts followed suit. Kaito builds up blue energy from the tip of his spear once more as he casts <<Dragon Breaks the Ranks>> and cuts through the pack before doing a 180 degree sweep behind him, forcing the beasts back from him as he continues on the offensive. 

He manages to catch a few rabbits on the air, taking care of them all at once with just one thrust. When the wolves are getting closer, he casts <<Falling Flower Palm>> and force them back before closing the distance with <<Fire Chaser>> and taking the wolves out with precise hits. 

He continues to deal damage to the pack while also evading all of their attacks, stacking his passive <<Battle Spirit>> enough to 40 hits, enough to use <<Phantom Dragon Teeth>> at rapid speed. Kaito thrusts his spear forward rapidly, taking on the appearance of Dragon teeth as he shreds any beast in front of him.

He notices that the pack is slowly thinning out, Kaito casted <<Dragon Soars the Sky>> once more, enveloping the tip of his spear with blue energy before thrusting his spear forward, as a blue dragon once again manifests from the tip of his spear. Kaito whipped his spear to his side but felt it slip from his hands as he falls on his knee, the dragon then dissipates, only taking out a few of the beasts as Kaito coughs violently due to his wounds finally catching up to him.

Kaito: "So this...is how I...die"

Kaito mutters his last breath before falling to the ground, he tries his best to stay awake and get up but felt his body disobeying. His vision slowly waning, only catching a glimpse of a cloacked man, fighting off the pack which what seems to be...an umbrella.

Kaito: "*thought* What a confusing choice of...weaponry

So I got stuck in making my accel world again. But do not fret! I'm just lacking the motivation to write at the moment, so why not make another book that requires more effort? 

As some of you might guess, this is a crossover fanfic of Arifrueta and King's avatar. I started to watch the live action stuff so I thought 'why not?' people do solo leveling fanfic, it's time to use something different.

Note that I will only be using the in game characters not the real-life part of the novel/manga/anime/live-action drama so if you're interested in taking a look at King's avatar feel free to do so, it's a good read/watch
