"Hm? You said what?" I asked, stepping to the side, out of the sun, wanting her to speak up.

"Let's get some donuts mommy!"

I sighed, "No because we can't even get a good picture cause' you're not cooperating" I say. Me and Aaliyah were going on a outing today and she looked cute so I thought I'd take some photos of her since I haven't posted her in awhile. But she's doing every single thing except for what I want her to do. Can't really blame her though, she's a child.

I smiled, "Op"

I gasped holding my hand out. "Yay big girl!"

Aaliyah pressed her palm up against mind. "Now can we get donuts?"

"Sure love, but can you smile for me? Oh! How about you tell me one of your jokes."

"Okay! Hmmm" Aaliyah tapped her foot against the concrete. "Knock knock!"

"Who's there?"

"Umm- interrupting cow!"

"Interrupting c-"

Aaliyah cut me off "OINK!"

I stood there in the most confusion I've probably ever been in all while Aaliyah was laughing her ass off. "Pumpkin, I think you told the joke wrong."

Aaliyah stopped laughing. "Huh?"

"Cows say moo, right?"

Aaliyah scratched her head looking confused as hell. "Oh. I guess so"

I laughed a little, just a little. She can be the slowest person sometimes.

"One more! I have one more!"

"Alright bubbly, make it quick, we gotta get going"

"What did the fish say when he swam into a wall?"

"I don't know, what did he say Aaliyah?"

"Damn."

I narrowed my eyes. "Oh. He did?"

"No DAM!"

"OHH that's what you meant, I thought-" I held out my hand "How about we go get those donuts, yeah?"

"Aaliyah I got you a gift!" Dalton yelled running outside where me and Aaliyah were hula hooping. Well sort of, i'm trying to teach her.

Aaliyah ditched me running over to Dalton.

"D, that's like every day now" I walked over to the two. Every single day Dalton's come home with some random new toy that I didn't even know existed. Aaliyah thinks he's a magician with superpowers. Like Mary Poppins or some shit.

"I just want to make her smile Ariana, and that's why..." Dalton set the toy on the ground. "I got her this!"

"Dalton, what the fuck is that?"

Aaliyah let out a scream of excitement. "I don't care, it's pink!"

"It's a mini bumper car, isn't it cool?"

"Oh my god." I mumbled to myself watching Dalton help Aaliyah get in. "Dalton! You bought her an entire bumper car?!"

"No, it's for a child."

"Is that even safe?"

"Relax Ariana, it has a seatbelt."

"Mommy look! It's pink!" Aaliyah shouted pressing the controls almost running me over.

"Careful child!" I screamed running out of the way.

"Sorry!"

"When do I get a gift?" I whined as Dalton wrapped his arms around me from behind.

"Tonight, if you want."

Aaliyah let out the loudest scream ever spinning herself in donut circles.

"Oh great, now she's gonna throw up." I said sarcastically becoming dizzy just by watching her.

"She'll be fine, it lights up too! But I won't show her right now..."

"Daddy there's a fast button!"

"Aaliyah don't press that!"

Aaliyah speeded towards me, almost taking me out for the second time.

"Sorry!"

I leaned into Dalton's ear "I'm not gonna lie, that does look pretty cool"

"Oh I'm sure you can fit in it too baby," Dalton chuckled, leaving me no choice but to elbow him in the ribs.

She loved when Dalton or even anyone said she looked like me, mainly because she calls me the prettiest person in the world, so if she looks like me, she's pretty too. Though I think she looks a little more like Dalton at times.

"I do?"

"Yes, you have her smile, and those big beautiful brown eyes."

My stomach flips at Dalton's words. "If you two don't stop being so damn cute."

I exhaled, "Dalton you know the rules, no sugar for her before noon, you know how she gets." Aaliyah pouts and I give her a stern look, and she put it away.

"And please don't buy her anymore 'toys'"

Dalton smirked grabbing his keys off the table. "You know I can't promise that, if she wants it, I'll buy it for her. You do the same too babe"

I really couldn't argue cause he's not lying. Just last week I spent over seven thousand dollars worth of mini Prada bags, plus bucket hats for her... SHE'S JUST SO DAMN CUTE AND I COULDN'T SAY NO.

"MOMMY!" I hear Aaliyah scream nearly giving me a heart attack. It wasn't one of her excited screams it was more of a 'help me i'm scared' typa' sound.

I put down the magazine I was reading looking around the patio, "Baby! Where are you-"

Suddenly Aaliyah came flying on what looked like a scooter. "I can't stop!"

Great. Now I have to save her.

"Goodness" I snatched Aaliyah off of the thing just before she could crash into a wall. I bounced her up to my hip, catching my breath. "Didn't daddy buy you this?"

"Yes but it's just a scooter! It has 3 wheels!"

I let her down, picking up the scooter seeing that it did in fact have 3 wheels, two in the front, and one in the back. "Maybe you should wait until daddy teaches you how to stop first bubbly, before you ride it again." I suggested.

Aaliyah nodded and then went back to playing like she didn't almost die moments ago.

"Ari can you play with me?"

"You know I will, but how many times have I told you, it's mommy!"

"I wanted your attention" Aaliyah leaned against the chair I was on.

"You want my attention?" I took a breath putting the magazine and my phone away so she could have my full attention. "What do you wanna do?"

Aaliyah ran towards the trampoline, climbing inside. "Bubs! It's hot out here, are your trying to kill me?!" I exclaimed getting on behind her. Dalton and me actually surprised her with this for her 4th birthday, I was very hesitant at first, worrying that she might get hurt, but my mom said it was fine as long as we supervised her.

Our whole entire outdoor area has become Aaliyah's playhouse. Also considering the actual playhouse she has out here. No, Dalton didn't buy it, I did. She's got all types of toys out here, you'd think it was a playground.

Aaliyah giggled loudly jumping up and down "No, I not trying to kill you mommy"

I made sure to be careful with her, she's so tiny and I didn't want to send her flying.

"Look mommy!" Aaliyah did a front flip, taking me by surprise. "Wow, when you'd learn how to do that mama?"

"Uncle Frankie showed me!"

I watched my child in complete awe while she showed me all these different tricks. She asked me to try, I said no.

"God, you are so hyper." I fell down trying to slow my breathing. "Okay, baby, mommy's tired"

"Mommy's tired?" Aaliyah asked. I nodded clutching my chest. "Yes"
