"Mama wake up" I felt Aaliyah raise my eyelid and removed her hand from my face.

"I'm awake" She crawled on top of me staring into my eyes, "Good morning" She smiled. "What are you doing out of your crib?" I quickly sat up, "Actually, how did you even get out of there?"

"I climbed out mama" She said placing her thumb in her mouth. Her wide eyes staring back at me, blinking every few seconds.

She poked my arm, "Talk mama"

"Bub it's not safe to climb out of your crib. You could fall" I tell her holding onto her small hands. "Bu-but I didn't" She replied and I smiled kissing her on the nose.

She stood up and began jumping on the bed, "Come on! Up!"

I grabbed her waist pulling her back down. "Give me a second" I covered my face with my hands as Aaliyah had now started to blow onto my face. "Wake up mommy!" She shouted throwing her whole body on top of me. "BUBS" I sat up pushing her off of me.

"Why do you try to kill me every morning" I groaned rolling off of the bed and onto the floor.

Aaliyah giggled hanging over the edge of the bed looking down at me, "Silly mommy" She facepalmed herself and shook her head.

I picked myself up off the floor and held Aaliyah on my hip. "We're going to Victoria's today"

"Auntie Vicky!!"

"Auntie Vicky!" I repeated with a laugh taking her downstairs. "Hm shall we wash your hair today"

"NO ARIANA" She shouted trying to wiggle herself out of my arms but I wouldn't let her. "YES AALIYAH!" I laughed carrying her off to the living room to take out her braids that I did the night before.

"My little doll" I cooed kissing the top of her head. "You're going to be 3 soon. Are you excited?" I ask, even though her birthday's not for another 2 months.

"No I wanna stay wittle"

I pouted, "Awe I wish you could stay little. Be mommy's baby forever."

"Auntie Courtney!" Aaliyah screamed running to the door, as Courtney had now arrived. "Hey love! I missed you" Courtney said picking Aaliyah up and bringing her over to me while Victoria closed the door. Aaliyah reached her arms out to me so Courtney sat her in my lap. "So what are we doing tonight?"

"Movies" Aaliyah squealed kissing me on the cheek.

"Awe thank you bubs, but I was gonna tell her."

"I already did Awi" Aaliyah replied wrapping her arms around my neck, laying her head on my shoulder.

Victoria pouted, "Aww 'Awi'"

I sighed moving Aaliyah off of me. "Baby, I already told you, my name is mommy"

"But Auntie Coco and Auntie Vicky call you Awi"

"Yes but," I gave up, "Never mind let's just find a movie"

Around halfway through the movie Aaliyah wouldn't sit still. I watched her out of the corner of my eye for awhile then speaking up. "Aaliyah," I laughed "baby, do you have to go to the bathroom?" She shook her head. I exhaled, "Hm are you sure?"

Aaliyah's quite smart for her age, so I decided to potty train her a little early, before she turned three. But she's still getting the hang of it so I definitely have to monitor her. "I sure" Not so long later I had enough and stood up out of the seat I was in,

"Come on bubs"

"Come on where?"

"You gotta go potty?" Aaliyah crossed her arms, "No"

"Liyah, it's alright, we'll wait for you" Victoria said pausing the tv.

"See bubbly?" I held out my hand for her to take, "Come on let's go" Aaliyah huffed going in front of me and to the bathroom. She surprised me when she went inside and closed the door in my face. "Aaliyah! Let mommy in"

"No, privacy" I heard her say and I could already imagine her waving her index finger sassily in my face.

I rolled my eyes and started to walk away, 3...2...1...

"Mommy!"

I chuckled going back to the door, "Yes baby"

"Sorry I forgot, my dress has a zipper"

"Mhm I knew that, let me in" She let me inside and I unzipped her and waited for her to be finished. "Aaliyah that's enough soap" I say turning on the water and helping her wash her hands.

"ABCDEFG!" She sang loudly and I cringed, "Please lower your voice"

"abcdefg" She whispered causing me to giggle. I looked at her in the mirror, "Why are you so cute?"

"You're cute mommy"

"Thank you bubbly, come on let's go finish the movie. Then we can go see daddy at home."
