Unfortunate

Zak's Pov:

It's been days since I dressed as a stripper and danced for Darryl, and somehow, I still find myself grinning widely about it. It's just something about doing something so intimate with your lover... makes the experience feel so much better than with anyone else. I got the vibe that Darryl felt the same the moment after we had our first orgasm. Somehow, it feels like we're closer than before. It seems like I really did cheer up Darryl since he was starting to be a bit off, almost worried. By what? Who knows. But at least he seems in higher spirits now.

Right now, I'm walking over to the main part of town to pass the time since I don't have any work today, but Darryl is working at his agency for who knows what. It can't necessarily be something good, but it's none of my business at the moment. It would probably be something for future Skeppy to worry about. Anyway, I'm heading over to the main part of town early in the morning since I wanna do some browsing as much as possible, even though I most likely won't end up buying something. But who knows? Maybe if I'm lucky enough, I will find a gift for Darryl. It seems like a good stage in our relationship to be able to gift each other gifts for no particular reason, right?

Even though I have to walk quite a long while before I reach the main part of town, I would say that it's still good to get some exercise every now and then, right? Plus, taking a walk can be quite calming. Once I reach the various shops in the main part of town, I quickly notice that there is barely anyone walking around. Which makes sense because not only is it early in the morning, but it is a weekday, and most of the time that people are free to do some shopping is during the weekend or in the evening after a hard day of work. As I look around, there are only 3 or 4 singular people walking around the street. Though I think I saw a couple enter a shop a bit earlier ago.

I start looking around at the shops and entering one every now and then to browse around and marvel at the unique items on display. Doing this always brought me a sense of ease, and any stress I had would seem to dissolve. It's been months since I've done this by myself. Not after meeting Darryl and becoming his friend. Even today, we don't go out as much to this part of town as we used to anymore since we spend most of our time at my house now. Which, at first, made me a bit sad, but I quickly got used to it. But doing this again properly, by myself, certainly brings me a small sense of euphoria that I didn't know I needed for a while.

After some time, the streets didn't really get any much more crowded. It's still quite empty. Though now you will see a few more people at the more popular shops. Without realizing it, I start heading over to a much more isolated part of these streets since the shops in the area I'm heading at aren't really popular. It is only when I pay attention to my surroundings that I notice how lonely it is where I am right now. As a matter of fact, I don't see anyone in sight walking on the street, and most of the shops in view seem to be closed, making the area unusually quiet. Huh. What a coincidence.

After a few moments of walking on this isolated street, I start slowing down my pace a little. This is because the more that I start to pay attention, the more eerie this place feels. It feels so strange being here right now, with nobody around I sight, it's starting to give me the creeps. The more I take notice of the emptiness of the area, I start to slowly feel goosebumps on my skin that I didn't know were there at the eerie feeling that I'm not actually alone, but that I'm being watched. I don't know if it's because this scene feels something out of the start of some horror film, or if it's actually the instincts I picked up after being an agent, but I don't like it one bit.

So, I abruptly start to walk at a speedy space since I want to get out of this area as soon as I can. The silence is starting to feel suffocating. Only after a few seconds of walking at a faster pace, I let out a small gasp as I feel someone grab me from behind and bring me into an alleyway in a quick motion. In that quick motion, they also put a piece of cloth over my mouth where I can already smell the chemicals of the sedative that was poured on it. They did it so quickly that I barely had time to react at all.

But I am also quick. Before they manage to get a much too strong hold on me, I manage to release an arm and elbow the person behind me in the ribs, quickly followed by me hitting them on their head with the back of my head. That manages to make them stumble back and loosen their grip on me so that I can swat their hand that has the piece of cloth over my mouth away and hit them one more time for good measure before running away out of the alleyway. It all happens so fast.

But my attempt to run away quickly became pointless because after a second of dashing around the corner and out of the alleyway, I found my legs becoming weak at an alarming rate and I started to become dizzy. Even though it all happened so quickly, I still got to inhale some of that sedative, which is bad. I attempted to scream out, "Help!"

But my voice came out quite weak. It felt raspy. I don't think anyone could've heard that. Something else must have been added to that sedative in order to make my ability to speak go away so quickly. I soon started to feel myself get heavier the more I moved. As much as I tried to move forward quickly, I increasingly got slower as I felt the strength leaving my body at an alarming rate.

It soon got to the point where I fell on the floor and started slowly crawling at a weak attempt to get away as much as possible. But to my dismay, I heard the sound of a pair of feet hitting pavement getting closer to me. They were chuckling. It sounded like the voice of a man. The man says, "Don't worry, I got him. No need to get backup. He surprisingly managed to get out of my grasp, but the sedative was going to inevitably get to him."

At some point, I completely stopped crawling and hung my head low to the ground, feeling the spirit leave my body. I couldn't manage to move anymore as I was starting to slowly become unconscious. More chuckles left the man's mouth. He hums and says, "You could've actually gotten away if it weren't for the sedative. Thank goodness that that strong of a sedative was recommended, or else this would've been a failure. Looks like we might have underestimated you a tad bit, Skeppy."

The footsteps grew nearer to me until they stopped right beside me. I then hear the man say, "How unfortunate of you."

After that, I felt a hit at the back of my head, and everything went black.
