Mission Encounter
Zak's Pov:
For once in a rare while, I have been sent on a mission where I'm not undercover, but I'm assisting in an infiltration. Today, the team sent on this mission needs to sneak into a warehouse owned and guarded by The Demonic Organization to retrieve an item that is being kept there. But this time, unlike the rest of the rare missions where I am only backup for this kind of thing, I am actually gonna be sent into the warehouse without having to wait for others to mess up. But it's a bit weird because I won't be going in immediately. I'm going to have to wait a bit before heading inside for the element of surprise along with a couple of other fellow agents, which include Sapnap.
I was assigned this mission since the boss wants to get me slowly used to these kinds of missions as he wants me to be as skilled as possible under any circumstances, wanting to make use of my newfound 'skilled' talent of fighting since I avoided death from Badboyhalo. He's just exaggerating. I bet he just wants me to be more brave and learn some more on-combat skills. Anyway, to sum it up, the main group of agents that get into the warehouse first are going to ensure the location of the item and scout the area since there are various places as to where it could be kept. After they figure out where the item is kept, they will concentrate on taking care of TDO agents without getting found out by the whole team. Then Sapnap and I's small team will recover the item.
The main group is currently inside the warehouse, while Sapnap and I's team is patiently waiting on the roof. After a while of waiting in silence, we hear a frantic voice in our earpieces say, "Sh*t- guys, our covers' been blown. Someone from The Demons saw us without us noticing and snitched. Now, there's a bunch of TDO agents who are alerted and looking for us. We've already been ambushed by a couple!"
Immediately, Sapnap says through his earpiece, "Alright- we'll have our guards up. Has anyone found where the item is?"
"Well- we haven't had enough time to scout everywhere just yet-"
The agent gets cut off by another agent's voice through the earpiece, "I just found the whereabouts of the item! I heard some TDO agents heading eastward and mentioning how they should protect mid northeast of the warehouse. That must be where the item is located."
Sapnap nods even though the agents he's speaking to don't see him. He says, "Roger that. We'll start heading there quickly. Keep them distracted. Wander in various areas to make them think we don't know where the item is located.
"Will do."
Sapnap turns to me and the other 6 agents that are with us. He says, "Let's start moving."
We quickly start moving to the northeast area of the warehouse by the roof. We then stop at a good enough area to get inside the warehouse and start searching around the northeast part. An agent takes out a device and starts cutting a square in the roof so that we can enter the warehouse. Once that's done, one by one, we quietly jump down onto the floor. We then start moving in quick, yet quiet steps. The hallway splits into 2 directions, and we decide to split into groups of threes to search faster. Sapnap and I get put together in a group with another agent.
We start heading to our direction, making sure not to attract attention our way and do our best to avoid any TDO agents that are passing by. We manage to search quickly in a few rooms, but it's easy to tell when a certain room doesn't hold anything valuable. We did run into 2 or 3 TDO agents that we had to kill, but we did it so quickly that nobody was called over. We're currently going to turn the corner into a different hallway, one of the last ones left, when we hear a familiar voice yell out, "Sh*t-!"
Along with it comes crashing noises. The random agent that's with me and Sapnap goes ahead to investigate down the hallway to a different corner. Despite our silent protests that Sapnap and I share with him, we follow the agent for a few steps but then halt to a stop when we takes a peak around the corner, makes a hissing sound, and backs away to hide by the wall. He looks at us with widened eyes and says in a concerned yet hushed tone, "There's a fight going on- looks like our men were ambushed by TDO agents. They seem to be struggling- and to make matters worse, it's the guys that are meant to get the item like us. I'm going to help them. You two go the other way and continue searching."
Without giving us a chance to protest, the agent dives around the corner off to fight and help our comrades. We stay there stunned for a moment before quickly turning around and going down the previous hallway that we were going to go through. Sapnap and I quickly rush through that hallway since by just a glance into the room, you could tell nothing important was inside. Trust me- once you're an agent, you can quickly tell these kinds of things. At some point, I am quite ahead of Sapnap as the hallway starts splitting up to different ways again. I quickly glance down the different hallways and start walking off into one as I say, "I believe the other ways lead into areas that have been searched already, we should go this way."
Before completely disappearing into the corner, I look behind me to see Sapnap calmly rushing to me a bit away from me. I then widen my eyes as I see someone familiar off into the distance behind Sapnap. Even though he's a bit far down the hallway, I can tell clear as day that it's Darryl- or Badboyhalo. What scares me is that he has a gun starting to aim straight to Sapnap's head. In a state of panic, I exclaim, "Wait! Bad- don't!"
With that, both Sapnap and Darryl seem to freeze in place. It is only then that I see Darryl look over to me, seemingly just noticing that I was there from the way his eyes widen in surprise once he looks at me. Sapnap quickly turns around and lets out a small gasp once he sees Darryl. With a glance between the both of us, Darryl quickly puts on a poker face and, without hesitation, lowers his gun and turns around to run off and disappear. Sapnap then turns to me with widened eyes, then glances back to where Darryl disappeared, then looks back at me. He then says, "Was that-?"
I cut him off by saying, "Yes- just don't say anything, and lets continue our job."
Sapnap regains his composure again and just nods at me before following me down the hallway to retrieve the item.
(I'm so bad at making actually good, intense, and descriptive spy mission scenes- 🤣😭😂 But it is what it is. It's for the sake of the story.)
(Also, happy belated Valentine's Day! 😍💖)
