"It was on a rainy night when I saw a young child standing near a light post drenched from head to toe near our doorstep. I wanted to ignore him at first but he was only a child, how could I? So I took him in and dried him off. The moment he laid his eyes on you, he immediately broke into a smile and hugged you screaming "imouto". At that time, your father just left us so we were without a male figure in our live, I thought maybe, just maybe, he could become a person that you could rely on. Without thinking much, I adopted him just like that. I wanted to return him to his family, I wanted to! But I couldn't... Tsubaki never mentioned anything about his home or family so I bet he had amnesia of some sort, in that case, how was I suppose to return him? The only thing he could remember was his name. Asashina Tsubaki. I wanted to get rid of that disgusting name that your father gave you so I made you took the same family name as him. His family never once in these 16 years came to look for him. You too, Rin, you grew so attached to him that whenever I removed you from Tsubaki for a minute, you would start crying non stop. You both are my children... my children..."

Standing in front of her heartbroken mum, Rin didn't know what to do. Her mother cried hysterically while Rin had silent tears flowing from her face like a broken pearl necklace. For all her life, she believed that it was a blessing for her to have such a great brother and that he will be there by her side forever and ever. However, right now, she seemed to have lost this right to even stand next to him. It was as if she took what was supposedly his away from him. That one thing being his real family. Rin couldn't even imagine what would she do if someone took her brother away from her.

Was this how that girl felt? Was it this pain?

Rin wiped her tears away with her sleeve and took a deep breathe.

"I will be back late."

"Rin? Where are you going?"

"None of your business." Rin then spun her heel around and left the room.

"RIN!"

~outside~

Rin took out her cellphone from her pocket and a name card from another. She punched the number on her keypad accordingly to the name card. After a few rings, the call went through.

"Hello?" Came from the other line.

"Its me. Asahina Rin."

"Oh? I didn't expect you to call so fast. So? Did you learnt the truth now?"

"...Yes"

"Fantastic! I take that you will be able to meet me for a small chat? Lets meet at the cafe that is near your school, in thirty minutes ya?"

"Fine. But don't bring that girl. She might kill me with her high pitch voice."

"Yes yes, I have no intentions to do that. See you soon darling."

And the line went dead.

~Timeskip!~

Rin opened the glass door to the cafe that she agreed to meet up at with the guy that she saw once. She wondered what will Tsubaki say if he knew it. He will probably freak out for sure. But will he still do so when he found out she wasn't his real sister? Rin was engrossed in her thought until she heard someone calling out her name. 

No! I must be strong!

Rin then scanned the cafe and saw a dark coloured hair guy who wore spectacles. The way he styled his hair really made her think about how similar the both of them looked. There was hardly any doubt that they were related. Rin then walked towards his way and sat down in front of this man.

"I just realised that I never really introduced myself right? I am Asahina Azusa. The real brother of Tsubaki."

"I know that at least. The way you two talk, that scary calm aura that you two always have, that damn hairstyle and face. Honestly, I hope you walk into a lamp post. Is it really that cool to cover half of your face huh?"

Azusa was dumbfounded. This was the first time someone had dared to spoke to him in that way as his family was defiantly one that nobody could offer to offend. However, instead of being insulted and angry, Azusa chuckled at Rin's statement.

"You're amusing."

"I hope you're entertained then."

"Well then Rin chan, lets get to business. I know that you and my brother are very close, so close that you two can't be separated. I am also certain that Tsubaki won't let you go so easily if I were to just go to him. So I want you to bring him to me."

Rin didn't know why but she was furious.

"Who said anything about that? I will not give my brother to the likes of you!"

"Really? Did you know? Our family are one of the elites and to be put bluntly, you can never give what Tsubaki wants and needs. I know that Tsubaki wants to go to a notorious university but he is planning to put it on hold because of your family's financial problems right?"

"No... I didn't...I wasn't."

Azusa got up and said, "It doesn't really matter you think, if my father really got angry, your feelings will be the least of our concern. It's better to give up now and return Tsubaki to us. What kind of sister will you be if you're that selfish? I'll contact you again."

 Without another word, Azusa went to the counter and foot the bill before leaving. 

Another trail of tear left her eyes again. 

At the same time, the sun set into the horizon.
