Lucas
"Have you got my money?" Ted growled at Lucas. His name suited him because he looked similar to a bear and had the same violent nature. "I told you I'd get it! I just need more time!" Lucas replied pleading, backing up against the alley wall.
"The boss ain't gonna be too happy about that. You have till the end of the month before things get ugly." Ted practically spat at him, poking him with a large sausage like finger.
"I'll get it. Don't worry." Lucas said trying to sound confident.
"Pfft. It's not me who should be worried. It should be you who's worried." Ted said and walked out into the street, leaving Lucas in the alleyway. He sighed and sat down on the ground. It was so unfair. Lucas had tried to do the right thing by helping to clean up his brother's dept but then his brother was killed in a street fight. So now all the dept fell to him. £600,000. What kind of idiot would get into that much dept? Lucas knew there was no point going anywhere. Since Ted and his cronies had burnt down his house a few weeks ago he was officially homeless. He was already working 2 jobs that payed barely above minimum wage and it still wasn't enough. Lucas started reading a shrivelled up newspaper that somebody had thrown into the alley. There was the usually stuff but when he was flicking through the ads, intending to just skip them, he noticed the same as that Angie had read minutes before. Of course, he didn't know about Angie yet. He just saw an opportunity to clear his brothers dept, buy a house and go back to college so he could get a better job. Lucas decided to do it. He would be stupid not to! Wouldn't he?
