Skizz's Perspective-

Etho left the diner and Tango flickered off the 'Open' sign before turning back to Skizz, who was cleaning off some of the tables.

"Where'd we put our schedule?" Tango asked and Skizz pointed towards the shelves under the cash register. Tango took out a piece of paper which told the people when their store would be closed and open again. He taped it onto the door, a soft smile on his face.

"Ready for Christmas Eve?" Tango asked, helping his husband put the bar stools on the counter upside down.

"I'm ready to sleep." Skizz chuckled, having a tendency to overwork himself. He stretched his arms above his head before sighing. "I'm really sorry we're not doing anything this break."

"It's alright, I don't mind." Tango shrugged.

Skizz frowned and leaned his head on his shoulder, causing Tango to blush.

"You sure?" Skizz asked, "I feel bad for never doing much during the holidays."

"Honestly, I don't mind not having a big meal tonight. I'd rather just lay down and watch a couple Christmas movies." Tango said and Skizz smiled, kissing his cheek.

"Sounds like a perfect plan to me." He chuckled and Tango smiled, wrapping his arm around him.

"Besides, then we can have a nice chill Christmas with gifts."

"Oooo, sounds fun." Skizz said. "Speaking of which, I still need to wrap yours."

"You haven't wrapped my gifts yet?" Tango smirked, raising an eyebrow.

"Babe, you know my wrapping skills suck. Heck it'd probably be better if I just hand them to you tomorrow."

"Noo, it takes the fun out of it. You should still wrap it."

"You know it's gonna look like crap, right?" Skizz asked and Tango shrugged, chuckling.

"Yeah, but it's cute when you try."

Skizz smiled and the two locked the doors before walking out back and getting into their car. On the ride back, Tango stared out the window as Skizz drove.

Skizz glanced at him and put his hand on his, causing Tango to look up at him.

"Are you sad we didn't go to see your parents?" Skizz asked, rubbing his thumb over Tango's knuckles.

Tango blushed and he glanced down at their interlocked hands.

"No, not really. They're kinda a lot, you know? They don't even like you that much anyway..."

"You could've gone by yourself; you know that right?" Skizz asked. "I'd probably cause way more drama than normal."

"Yeah, but I don't like traveling by myself." Tango shrugged and sighed. "And anyway, what's the point in going up there just to get an earful about how I probably stayed with the wrong person?"

Skizz frowned and Tango kissed his hand.

"It doesn't matter, I'd rather stay here with you. And plus, I get to see Jimmy again, it's hard to catch that kid."

Skizz chuckled. "True, he's always busy helping out that farm."

"I'm never bummed out we don't do much during Christmas. I like staying here and seeing all of our old friends. Like Impulse? It's been like a year since we last saw him."

"That's true." Skizz nodded, slowing down as they entered their neighborhood.

A kid ran out into the street, trying to dodge a snowball his friend had thrown. Skizz slammed on the brakes and Tango gripped his arm, too shocked to say anything.

The kid quickly realized what he had done and sheepishly smiled before running back to his yard. Skizz sighed in relief and Tango chuckled.

"Now that would've bummed me out." Tango said.

"What would've?"

"You hitting that poor kid."

Skizz laughed. "Bummed you out? You would've been terrified and probably turn me into the cops."

Tango laughed as well and smiled. "You know me too well."

"And that's why you stayed with me, cause I know too much." Skizz smirked and Tango nodded.

"Exactly." He said as Skizz parked the car.

"Here we are you little passenger princess." Skizz teased, kissing Tango.

Tango smiled and kissed back for a couple seconds before bringing a gap between them.

"You're too kind." Tango said and Skizz chuckled, rolling his eyes.

"The crazy things people do when they're in love, huh?" He smirked and Tango laughed.
