Roman woke up and turned off his alarm clock. Why was waking up to a machine screaming at him so much harder then his brother screaming at him? He got out of bed and started to get ready for the day when he heard his stomach growl. He hadn't eaten all day yesterday and he needed to make sure that didn't happen again. He didn't want to eat with his dorm mates because they were, as his mother would call them, distractions, so he skipped breakfast and dinner. He also missed lunch because he was too busy with training to get to the lunch room. He walked downstairs into the kitchen glad to see Virgil wasn't up this time. Why was he even up at 4 am? He grabbed a bar for breakfast and put a couple in his bag just in case he couldn't make it to lunch again and went out. 

Virgil looked out his window that faced the front of the dorm to see Roman walk out. He woke up early but decided to stay in bed today instead of the kitchen. He watched as Roman started to do what looked like a work out routine. Why was he working out at 4 am? Plus they all had hero classes everyday, he could get the want for extra practice but still starting at 4 am was a lot. Virgil decided to ignore his dorm mate, it's not like Roman even cared about him any way, and took out his sketch book. He sat down at his desk and placed his head phones on playing MCR, before starting his drawing. Virgil didn't know exactly what he was drawing and let his hands move on their own.

Patton turned to face the front of the room when he heard the door open.

Emile: Hello class. How you do you!

Emile smiled as the class gave him weird looks not quite understanding what he meant.

Emile: Well since we took it easy yesterday today we'll be doing a rescue exercise! You all will be assigned a partner and you and your partner will be assigned a number. You all must look and rescue the dummy with your assigned number. It'll be good practice for when you're hero's out in the field. 

Emile smiled at his students and started randomly assigning students partners and numbers before leading them out to a fenced in city-like area on the school grounds. Power High was a large school with many different areas and terrains for the student to practice, this was one of the city zones because most big rescues happened in large cities it would be best to start the student there. Emile walked up to a large box and opened it.

Emile: Ok everyone. These are all medical and rescue supplies that you can use. Now everyone come and get some before we start. Also theres no coming back to the box so make sure you grab enough supplies but not too much that it slows you down. 

Patton grabbed Roman's arm(Partnered with number 7) and dragged him towards the box and started strapping med kits to his waist. 

Patton: You ready! This is going to be great, and we already know each other so that will make it easier. 

Roman: I bet we'll find our dummy first. We don't really know each other all that much but I remember you saying you wanted to be a rescue hero so that also helps us. 

Patton: Yup! I want to help people so being a rescue hero is my goal. OK we should be good on supplies now. What plans do you have for finding our rescue dummy?

Roman: Well you can float right. I figured I could search the ground and you could search from above and the when we find our dummy we'll have to go from there. How heavy of an object can you lift anyway?

Patton: Well I haven't been able to test making other things float as much but I think I can lift something about the size of a car at most. So if our dummies under a big rock or something we might have some trouble with that.

Roman: OK. My fire isn't hot enough to melt rock I don't think, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Emile: OK class. You can start in 3... 2... 1 GO!

All the pairs ran off to look for their dummies.

Logan: Virgil do you see our dummy yet?

Virgil: No keep looking. We're number 4 right?

Logan: Yes. Is it possible for you to use your shadows to search?

Virgil: I mean it might be but they can be kinda hard to control when I get distracted. What about your mind reading or telekinesis. Could you "sense" the presence of it or something?

Logan: First off "kind of" not "Kinda" and second off I can not read the mind of a doll and I can not "sense the presence" of something. I can only move objects that I can see and know where they are. 

Virgil: HEY I found something! Yes it's ours.

Logan ran up to where Virgil was standing. Their dummy in a building that looked like half of it was destroyed. Their dummy was also under a beam that they would have to move it from. 

Logan: We should go in and I will try to use my telekinesis to move the beam but if it is too heavy do you think you can use your shadows to help us move it.

Virgil: Wait I don't think we should go in there. Look at the building, debris could fall on us at any moment and if we get hurt who would help the "victims" 

Logan: That is very smart but it does not look like the building is too damaged right here and most of the debris seems to have settled so we should be fine to go inside.

Virgil muttered an ok before Logan walked into the building with him slowly following behind. Virgil looked around as if that would help make sure nothing fell. Logan lifted his hand and a blue glow surrounded him and the beam. The beam didn't move and Logan dropped his hand the blue glow disappearing but the blue in Logan's hair seemed brighter then before.

Logan: Looks like we are going to have to use your shadows. Would if be satisfactory for me to pull out the test dummy or for you to.

Virgil: Umm. I guess for me too. Lets go I guess.

Virgil closed his eye's can called all the shadows in the room to the beam. There were a lot of shadows due to the amount of debris so when they all stood next to the beam Logan saw he was not needed. The shadows lifted the beam and Logan pulled the dummy out.

Logan: I have the dummy Virgil the shadows can put the beam down now.

Virgil: Great lets get out of here I don't love being in collapsing buildings.

Logan: Virgil the building is not collapsing. Not a single piece of debris has fallen since we have been in here.

Virgil grunted as the two walked out of the building with the dummy on Logans back. They walked back to where they had started to find that they were the first people to complete the challenge. Emile smiled and congratulated the two boys and they sat down waiting for the others to arrive.

Roman put his hands on his knees and tried to catch his breath once he ran up the pile of rocks Patton had floated up to. He hated how his binder never let him breath right. He took a second and looked up at Patton.

Roman: You said you say it. Where?

Patton: Right there by that blue car. It looks like it's under a couple of rocks.

Roman: Great. Hey do you think you'll be able to float those or will they be too heavy?

Patton: Well I should be able to make most of them but the one lowest down looks to big. I also wont be able to hold up more then two at a time really. Sorry I couldn't be of more help kiddo.

Patton and Roman finally reached the dummy and double checked it was their's before Patton started lifting off some of the larger rocks and Roman with the smaller ones. They finally got to the last rock holding the dummy down. Patton tried to lift it but it barley moved an inch before falling back down. Roman tried tugging at the dummy with no avail. They needed to get that rock off of it to get it out. 

Roman: How are we supposed to lift this. It's not like the two of us can lift it ourselves.

Patton: Calm down there. I know you can think of a plan, you're super creative after all!

Roman: Thanks... I got it! Ok Patton if we place two rocks under the big one and make those two float and WE also lift the rock we might be able to get the dummy out. Do you think you'll be able to do that?

Patton: Thats a great plan! This might have gotten of to a rocky start but that plan might just work.

Roman smiled at Patton's pun before placing two rocks under the larger one. Patton make the rocks float and got into position.

Roman: Ok on the count of three. 1. 2. 3!

The 2 pulled on the rock as hard as they could. Because of the rocks helping them they slowly moved it enough for Patton to reach down and tug the dummy out. They dropped the rock and high five in celebration. Roman then flung the dummy over his shoulder and the two walked back to the starting place.

Patton: VIRGIL. LOGAN. Hey you guy's! How long have you been here?

Virgil looked up from his phone and turned to see Patton with a big smile on his face followed by Roman who looked slightly upset they weren't the first ones to finish.

Logan: Hello Patton. We only got back a few minutes ago. How did you two fair?

Patton: It was fun. We had some trouble getting our dummy out from under a rock but Roman came up with a really good idea that saved us!

Virgil: Oh so you CAN work with other people. I thought you were too important.

Roman: Whatever Charlie Frown. It was a large rock there was no way one person could lift it on their own without a strength power or something like that. 

Virgil: Whatever.

Virgil went back to looking though his phone while Logan and Patton continued talking. He saw Roman walk over to where they had placed their dummy. Even though his long sleeve shirt Virgil could see he had some good muscles. NO. He was NOT going to admit that Roman looked good, not that he did, because he was an egotistical ass. Nope, no being gay today thank you very much.

Emile clapped his hands together and faced his group of students with a smile.

Emile: Good job everyone! Every group found their dummy and was able to rescue them! Don't worry if you ran into any trouble thats why you're here. If you all already knew everything I would be out of my job. So how about we go back so everyone can get lunch. I know I'm hungry.

All the students walked off to the lunch room. Well most followed the few students who had already memorized the map of the school and knew how to get there. When Virgil walked into the lunch room with his tray he saw Patton sitting with Logan at their usual table. How did they alway's beat him there? Virgil pulled down his headphone when he sat down. He zoned out a bit when Logan started talking about some philosopher or something and looked around and noticed that again Roman wasn't at lunch.

Roman walked into the gym finishing off his protein bar. Instead of going to lunch he would train. He needed to get stronger if he was going to be a hero and make his mother and David proud. Roman threw out the wrapper and looked down when his phone buzzed.

Roman(head): please don't be mother please don't be mother please don't be-

He saw it was a text from Remus. THANK GOD. He didn't want to be yelled at right now, or ever really. 

Remus(Text): Hey bro. Sorry I haven't called hope schools going well. I found a raccoon by the way and used your sheets to make it a bed.

Roman: 2 things. 1 why my sheets. 2 how did mother let you keep a raccoon.

Remus: She doesn't know yet. Lets see how long it takes her. I'm saying around a week before she notices.

Roman: Please you give her too much credit. 2 weeks.

Roman laughed as his twin sent him a picture of the Raccoon shredding the sheets and giving Remus an angry look. He talk a bit more with Remus before setting his phone down and getting back to training. 

Hey! How did you guys like this chapter? I wanted to show a bit more of Emile's class because I didn't show his before(Also I wrote a fair amount on his birthday "Happy birthday" one day late Emile) 

Also I wanted to say it here. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD BIND SAFLEY!! you really need take brakes and shouldn't really be exercising too much in them(unlike Roman. Bad Roman). Please be careful and don't use anything like an ace bandage, I know it's hard and dysmorphia sucks but PLEASE DON'T DO IT!!! Your ribs will thank you.
