The light fell from a starry sky
None knew where it came.
A man stood down and plucked it up
And gave it it's own name

The light burned by it's own right
Bright by day, brighter by night
Many came and studied it's glow
None could snuff it's light

Once upon a time a witch came
Took the princess with one hand
Stole the sun with the o'er
And darkness filled the land

The man who found it on the ground
Ran through the night
Took the light he'd once found
Bright by day, brighter by night

Burned away the witch with it's glow
Took the princess by the hand
Led her in the dark
Back to her own land

He took the sun from the witch
Threw it up in the sky
light filled up the kingdom again
Ending the night's lie

He took the light which he'd named
Put it back where he'd found
It flew back up where it'd come
He nodded and turned round

None e'er saw it again
That bright burning light
For it was gone for'ever
Bright by day, brighter by night
