This was supposed to be written around Christmas, but I never got to it, and I feel really terrible about it.

"Ready?" He asked, holding her hand. She didn't look so sure, staring at the icy floor. He gave her a reassuring smile as she glanced up. She nodded.

He lightly pulled Ruri as he started skating. She thought she was doing okay, until she tripped. Yuto made sure to catch her, and she stared up at him, shyly.

Ruri slammed right onto Yuto's chest and she backed up blushing. He grabbed both her hands and smiled, "everyone falls the first time. You're doing just fine."

He glided backwards and Ruri followed, gripping his hands tightly. She wasn't sure if she was ready to skate on her own yet, so she only continued to follow Yuto. She looked down at her feet as she glided with Yuto, then met with his gray eyes.

Ruri felt his hands loosen, "don't let go."

"You're doing well," he replied, letting go of her right hand. She grabbed his other hand, both hands holding onto his one hand tightly.

As she continued to skate with him, she started to feel a little confident, and decided to let go of his hand. She still held on with her left hand, while she had her right hand stretched out.

Her face brightened with delight, seeing how she was getting the hang of it. Ruri was glad that she agreed to go ice skating with him.

Yuto glanced over at Ruri, seeing her face light up with pure happiness.

Her hair flowed beautifully as she skated along side Yuto. She felt confident and free, so she decided to let go of Yuto's hand. His eyes grew wide and his face lit up with delight as he watched Ruri skate on her own.

She caught up with Yuto's pace and they skated side by side. Slowly, Ruri reached for Yuto's hand, blushing a bit, and grabbed his hand. He looked down, then back at her face, and smiled. He squeezed her hand, and she smiled back.

"Thank you," she said, softly.

After they were done skating, they went to the coffee shop nearby. Yuto gave Ruri a cup of chocolate as they walked out.

She took a sip of it, "ah! Hot!" She screamed, trying to cool her tongue. Yuto chuckled. "Hey!" She said, which made him laugh.

Yuto walked Ruri home and before she went inside, Yuto grabbed her hand. She looked over at him and he pulled out a small present. He handed it to her, and she looked at it with eyes raised.

"You didn't-"

"Just open it." He said.

She unwrapped the little bow and opened the box. She grabbed the chain and pulled out a locket. "Yuto, I- you-"

"Here, let me," he took the necklace from her and walked behind her. Ruri moved her hair to the side, and Yuto clasped the necklace behind her neck.

Ruri ran her finger on the locket, "thank you, Yuto." She smiled and hugged him tightly. She let go and went up the step. She was about to open the door, but turned around instead. "Bye, see you tomorrow."

"See ya," he whispered, turning away.
