There was a sound of a light flickering on. The light flashed all around the room and Yugo froze in place. He was on his tippy toes and walking as if he was going to try and steal something.

His eyes widened at the sight of Rin, who stood there folding her arms in disapproval.

Slowly, Yugo hid behind their Christmas tree, hoping, somehow, that Rin couldn't see him. She already knew it was him, who else would be at their home at this late hour, Santa?

Although, Yugo still thought that Santa was real. "I wanted to see if Santa brought my present."

Yugo bent down, checking under the tree. His eyes glued to the presents underneath, before he got pulled away from them. He looked at Rin and saw that familiar glare. Yet, he still looked at her face and regretted it.

"You do this every year! He's not going to show up if you stay up." Rin shook her head, unable to believe that she had to act like Santa Claus was real for Yugo. He should've figured it out, but Rin didn't have the heart to actually tell him.

Santa made Yugo really happy and she didn't want to take that away from him. She could clearly picture the time she told him that mermaids weren't real. He use to watch the ocean as a kid, hoping to see one.

He was sad for weeks, his dreams were crushed. Rin couldn't imagine doing that to him again, but also, she wasn't able to keep lie up for much longer.

"But I want to see him! I want to thank him! Then I want to rip my present open!" He jumped with excitement. "I really hope he got my letter!" Yugo shouted, happily to the sky. He jumped and danced around, imagining his present in his hands. "Rin! Rin!" He grabbed her shoulders and started jumping.

"Yugo, I'm going to give you three seconds to get your hands off me. One, Two," Yugo let go and put his hands up in the air. "Good, now, go to bed!"

"Rin, I want to see Santa. Please, help me hide and watch Santa come." He begged with his big blue eyes.

"I already told you, he's not going to show up if you wait for him." She replied, angrily.

She started dragging him back to his room. He kept whining, wanting to stay and wait for Santa.

Eventually, he gave up and went to bed. He lied there, awake, unable to go back to sleep. His mind was on Santa and his present that he hoped to get.

Yugo waited about ten minutes, knowing it takes Rin about that long to go back to sleep. He tiptoed back to the living room and sat at the far corner. His eyes were glued to the tree, waiting for Santa to appear.

It felt as though hours went by and still nothing was happening. Yugo was getting tired of waiting. The world of sleep was catching up to him and his eyes were getting heavy.

"No, I-I have to stay awake," he said to himself.

He managed to stay awake for another five minutes, before knocking out.

"Yugo. Yugo." He heard someone calling him, a faint voice from a distance.

"Santa, is that you?" He said in his sleep. "I'm so glad you're here, I..." He paused, drooling on the floor. "I want some pancakes." He continued to drool.

Rin woke up, hearing Yugo from the living room. Before she even got to him, she started shouting. "Yugo! I told you to go to bed!"

After she saw him lying there she tried to wake him up, but he wouldn't budge.

"Where is my flying cat?" Yugo said, in his sleep.

"Flying cats aren't real," she replied, annoyed.

Rin grabbed Yugo's arms and dragged him all the way to her room. She left him on the floor next to her bed. "This way I can keep an eye on you."

"Rin, you're so nice. I love..." He drooled, "I love the twenty-five cows you bought for me."

She looked at him, wide-eyed, "what kind of dreams are you having?" She shook her head and dropped his arms.

She went back to bed, hoping she didn't have to wake up to find Yugo in the living room again.

"Yes, moo!" Yugo shouted in his sleep.

"Ugh!" Rin closed her ears with her pillow.

A few hours went by and Yugo started to wake up. He could feel that his cheek was wet. "Ah! Gross!" He yelled when he realized he was sleeping on a pool of his own saliva.

He sat up, rubbed his eyes, and took a look at his surroundings. "Rin?" He whispered, catching sight of her while she slept.

Suddenly, Yugo heard a thud and he followed that sound. He walked to the living room and his eyes widened at what he saw. "No way," he said, his eyes sparkling.

The guy in the big red suit turned around. "Uh, oh!" He shouted as he tried to run away. A few presents falling out.

"Wait! Santa! I want to tell you that you're awesome and if you got my letter! Please!" Yugo shouted after him. He ran all the way outside and saw Santa hop on his sleigh. "Wait!" He flew away and disappeared into the night. "Damn! Times like these where I wish Clear Wing could come out of his card and take me to the sky." He slammed his hand against the wall, then he walked back inside.

He stood by the tree and looked at a few of the presents that fell out. "I finally saw Santa! I can't wait to tell Rin!"

"Tell me what?" Rin asked, rubbing her eyes.

"Santa! I saw him! He was in here next to our tree and I saw him!"

"Yugo..."

"Look! He even dropped these presents when I started chasing him!" He picked up one of them and read the name on the box. "Well, looks like some guy named Yusei won't be getting his present this year."

"Yugo! You did what?!" Rin threw her hands up in the air. "You know what! I'm not going to deal with this right now." She turned around and went back to her room, closing the door.
