THE FIRST GROUP

• the raven girl •

she was a fanciful but sensible thing, like a platypus, or one of those sandwiches that had been cut into circles for a fancy tea party

background: her mother is the clairvoyant. she has been told since she was born that the one she kisses will die. one night she was in the churchyard, communicating with the spirits of those who were to die in the next year. she was with her mother, as she is said to make things louder and more clear. it was here that she found out she would eventually kiss the raven prince. she's been told to stay away from the aglionby boys, even though in their first meeting (which hasn't happened yet), only the greywaren was unkind. she suspects the quiet's secret.

he could have had any and all of the friends he wanted. instead, he had chosen the three of them, three guys who should've, for three different reasons, been friendless

background: goes to aglionby academy. he is the rich kid in the group, also the leader. he loves his car, which he has nicknamed the pig (for reasons involving noise level). it is a 1973 camaro, of which an image is at the top of the page. when he was 10, he encountered a wasp sting (which is fatal to him) and nearly died. however, he heard a voice telling him "You will live because of Glendower. Someone else on the ley line is dying when they should not, and so you will live when you should not." this is what sparked his interest in glendower. he met the greywaren, and the two became close friends. the quiet and the smart joined this group, and together they were the best of friends. his father is a congressman, and his sister possessed the ability and licence to drive a helicopter. however he doesn't like his father (though it isn't obvious), whereas with his sister he has a close, call-when-you-need-me bond. he built a home in an old manufacturing building, and allowed the greywaren and the quiet to stay with him.

background: his father was killed by the gray man, though he hasn't been able to track down who this is. he has since been banned from visiting his old house, along with his two brothers. he is the middle child, the elder to an angel and the younger to a snake. he drives his father's 2005 BMW (6 series), using it most frequently for drag racing. he excels at latin but has no plans for his future, seemingly unbothered by the prospects. he develops a crush on the smart.

background: he is the scholarship student, who in fact is the poorest of them all. he dislikes talking about this. his father is abusive, which resulted in him skipping school sometimes - the raven prince and the greywaren covered him. he tops all his classes, and does anything and everything to stay at aglionby. he separates his school life from his home,as his parents do not appreciate his friends - after all, they are the posh-neck aglionby boys. he doesn't like the arrogance of his peers at the academy, though would like to be as them, and fit in with them. he grows to crush on the greywaren.

background: he has a secret that will be revealed to the winner of this role in pm. no one else knows it, but the raven girl suspects. he has a dark smudge just underneath his eye, and though he loves hugs, he doesn't ask because his skin is generally cold. he is more open with his friends, but not unwilling to keep secrets from his friends or for them, or to risk the life of those important to him. he knows the raven prince from earlier in his life, though the raven prince doesn't know him.
