Chapter Seven

Lorilie's POV

This Percy guy is tough. Being betrayed like that, then moving on? Amazing. I wasn't all to good about living with him, but, I'll be safe. I mean, I've always been taught to be grateful and appreciate life, so why not?

On the upside, I was cozy. Downside, I had to sleep with an hyperactive eight year old girl. Oh, and the dreams too.

I was in a cavern with a man of complete darkness. He frowned, as if he was disappointed I was there. "Where's that boy?" He asked, his voice slightly raspy. "Pax, the boy?"

I could barely speak. My brother? "Pax?" I shook my head, " that's my brother." I said the word with disgust, and the man smiled eerily.

"Ah, so you're this infamous sister of his." He smirked, "Lorilie."

I flinched, and I could feel my eyes change. Now is not the time!! Nevertheless, my eyes were replaced with orbs of darkness as I saw the spirits. Tons of them, floating casually, smiling as if they hadn't died.

"Ah, a true niece of mine, I see." I turned to him, but my vision was blocked by more smiling spirits.

"Go away!" I cried, and they did. All at once, every spirit, soul, and ghost all vanished. Not one smiling face but the man's.

"Fascinating." A low growl escaped my throat. When I get my hands on you..... POP!

My surroundings had changed drastically. The space around me was empty, but up ahead was a large cage, occupied by two women, who looked quite different. They were accompanied by a ghost, a mere child of maybe five years of age, six? One seemed to radiate happiness into the small girl, as the other appeared to the the girl's source of "life." Both had pale skin, but one had obsidian hair and eyes, sporting a black dress, but her arms elbows down were starch white, her legs similarly colored. The other woman was completely white, dress hair, eyes, you name it, it was white. They appeared peaceful, but their faces were of pure sorrow.

The nan's voice reverberated throughout the area, as if to jar his message into my body.  "Save them"

"Save my sisters"

Pax's POV

Why me?

An excellent question, really. One I ask myself every single day. Why was I raised in a penthouse, if my very own twin was raised in an orphanage? Why did I get the highlife, while my sister begged for second scrapings?

I shivered. I would never understand what Lorilie's been through. Ever. It's not right. We're twins. We should see each other as equals.

So, I respect the fact that she hates me, and our dad. I understand why she goes by no last name. She deserves that freedom. Something I've always had, something she's never had.

"Hey, Pax?" I shifted on my bed, yes bed, Percy actually has more beds, to face him.

"Yeah?"

"You always had it easy?" Of all things to ask me about, why my past? And a topic like this, right after my fight with Lorilie? Of course he has questions, I mean, who wouldn't?

"I mean, yeah, I guess. I've had some struggles, but nothing as bad as Lorilie, or you, for that matter."

He chuckled," I hope you never have to go to Tartarus." He said it plainly, as if it wasn't a crippling memory, but his smile was more of a grimace now.

He hadn't described Tartarus much, just that it was a horrible place, but my mind seemed pre-programmed all about it. The glass beaches, the five rivers, monster regeneration, everything. Even Nyx's Mansion.

Why? I've never been there before, right? My memories could be locked away..... no, that's nonsense.

Ok ok, if anything, this a filler chapter. I literally forgot about this story. No worries I'm back.
