Saugus High School

The members of Pristin, Seventeen and Nu'est were loath to see me go but they respected my decision. I hadn't been online for a while but I knew that photos of me selling tickets at the funfair, as well as of me in the high school letter jacket, were circulating. On Twitter, I decided to address High's and Klassy's with my side of the story.

"My doctor here in America told me that if I continued with promotions, I would have permanent brain damage and that is why I decided to put my health first and stay at home. While I was recovering, as many of you know, PRISTIN came to an end."

My parents had kicked Luke out of the house so I had no idea what he and his girlfriend Shay were saying.

"You know what, I'm not that sorry. You walked out on us and that was the biggest betrayal I've recieved. Why didn't you at least tell me everything. Yeah. I told on you, but you left it all to be with someone else. I've done so much for you in the past, and yet you leave it all behind. Including me. On top of that there are fucking problems in my company and when I need my brother the most, he is not there. You couldn't even text me 'hi how are you'... I took care of you and you don't care. Wow. Fuck you and Shay too. Sure you may be happy now, but how long will it truly last? Mom and dad were rough on you but thats only bc they loved you. I actually really do enjoy doing my job and performing in front of hundreds of people and Mom never pressured me to do something else. Right now, since I've debuted there's not much I can do but its worth it. You got pretty famous off of me too, so can't really complain. I'm honestly shocked that you sent this"-

Kaeun, one of my closest friends, took her phone back when she saw that I was done reading the screenshots.

"Don't worry," she popped her chewing gum bubble, "everyone's sceptic that the message was cropped in a way that made it unclear that it was really a reply from you." My boyfriend, Alex Tippie, joined us at the cafeteria line, and having heard the conversation, agreed with her.

"I took a step back from twitter in order to take a mental break and figure out what I would like to say to all of you. During the time I was gone, a lot of allegations sprung up and I would like to clear it once and for all. Starting off with dating rumours, they are false. I have never stated that certain idols are dating. I also did not date anyone while I was signed with Pledis, despite what my sister's jokes may have implied and I am currently in a happy relationship. I've seen some screenshots going around that are fabricated along with fake accounts impersonating me, leading to several people believing them. While I know that regardless of what I say there will still be those who are upset at me, I hope that you do not believe everything that you see on the internet."

"That was brave of you to address everything on Twitter," I saw the text from my Korean besty.

"Hmmm, shouldn't you be focusing on your comeback?" I replied to Hansol. Seventeen were innovating dance to be more inclusive, by including sign language into the choreography. I knew no other artists whom were that creative or caring. I truly hoped that my brothers from my former label would be successful internationally, as they deserved it.

"Woozi hyeong wouldn't let me rename the song to THANK U," I didn't need to be there to know that he was pouting.

"Have you tried bribing him with rice?" was the first suggestion that popped into my head.

"Genius," the idol then asked me about school and I regaled him with tales of the mundane.
