Although the Snowflake EP ranked high, my eyes continued straying to negative comments.

"GFriend should stop with the schoolgirl concept- it's getting old."

It was clear that the ROUGH MV was the conclusion after starting high school and a vacation. While on the topic of school, someone had leaked photos of my student card online anonymously. I read the rumours about my having plastic surgery done, and sent the link to my manager. They'd sort it out and told me not to reply in any way. It was true that the shape of my face had changed, but this was due to diet, intense workout and drinking more water than most. We wore a bright palette in our debut days, which lightened our faces, while our makeup artists made us look like angels.

"I have great news," our manager announced a week later. We groaned internally, knowing this would take a toll on our already-exhausted minds and bodies. "GFriend and BTS have been asked to collaborate for a family initiative."

My ears pricked up, delighted at the thought of not having to sneak out to be with my boyfriend but still getting to spend time with him. Sure, we'd still have to practice but seeing him smile at me when I flubbed a move would just motivate me to do better; as opposed to the way I regularly insulted myself to up my game. Jeongguk and I would get to eat together without worrying if fans saw us and uploaded the photos online.

"The project encourages family members to bond through singing and dancing," he continued. "As such, the vocals and choreo won't be too taxing. Perform as well as you can for comeback performance and there'll be a break before the project."
