Lucas and Emma sat together in a dark room, there was a large hole in the wall. The moon was in front of them and the wind was blowing calmly.

"Hey, do you remember our firearms training before our first assignment?" Emma asked.

"Yeah, you were such a klutz" Lucas replied.

"Yeah, I know, but now I'm a pro like you so no big deal" Emma replied.

"You might be a better shot than me, I'm still amazed about our situation in Argentina and how you were able to snipe a whole group of those guys in a minute" Lucas answered admittingly.

"Mmhm" Emma replied, "I still think you're better though. I mean Los Angeles was a pretty notable one for you"

"I still think you're better than me," The Eevee said.

"Are we just gonna argue about whos better?" Emma asked, smiling.

The two had a laugh together then they were silent. Lucas walked over to the hole in the side of the building looked up at the moon, Emma took a deep breath and joined him as he looked up at it, sitting on the edge of the hole.

"... You really like the moon huh?" She said.

Lucas nodded, I have a memory of my grandpa telling me about this strange Eevee who had a crush on him, he also mentioned he had a moon-shaped necklace"

"Oh," Emma replied, "Do you like Germany?"

"Yeah, food, culture everything, I'm kinda happy I know that you're actually from that country" Lucas replied.

"Thanks" Emma replied, then she began to get nervous.

The Pikachu had no idea how long she could keep up her act. She looked down at the crumbling overbridge nearby. Lucas got worried about her again.

"Um is there something you wanna tell me?" Lucas asked.

"I um..." Emma stuttered, her yellow paws were shaking so the Eevee sat with her and took her paws, "Hey look at me what's wrong? Am I scaring you?"

"R-Recently I have been having weird thoughts about you, I can't wrap my head around it, it's j-just so strange and hard to explain, I-I -"

"H-Hey calm down, it's okay! It's just us alright? Take your time" said Lucas.

Emma started crying, "Are we gonna split up after th-this?" 

"I don't know... I do wanna return to my normal life" Lucas replied.

"I um -"

"Take your time Emma, It's okay, I'm not gonna tell anyone. I'm gonna hate you or anything -" Lucas said.

"I love you!" She screamed.

Lucas gasped and flinched, "D-Do you mean that in a friendly way or -"

"No you idiot! I actually really love you!" Emma shouted, the Pikachu grabbed and squeezed him her cherry face rubbing on his mane, the Eevee's face turned red.

"H-How long d-did you know you loved me?" Lucas stuttered.

"Since we were in New York. I guess it's because I almost got killed by a train, well eh heh slipped off one" Emma whimpered.

Lucas wiped her eyes, "I-I kinda wish you told me earlier... But -" Lucas bought the Pikachu close and rubbed the scruffy overgrown fur on her head, "I love you too"

Emma smiled and closed her eyes and smiled, "Thank You" She whispered.

Then they heard a metallic noise come from downstairs. The two heard this and stopped cuddling, they drew their weapons and peaked out into the dark hallway, the two peaked down and saw a black figure coming up the steps, they quickly rushed the Pokemon and slammed it against the wall... It was Doctor Asuba, the Liepard had a tablet in his paws.

"What are you doing here?" Lucas asked.

"Look... I'm on your side, okay?" Asuba said. his paws up.

"How do we know you're not lying?" Emma asked, the Pikachu cocked the weapon.

Asuba sighed, "I have a confession to make... I was whirlpooled into the project"

Lucas and Emma looked at each other.

"How do we know you're not lying?" Lucas asked.

"He turned on the tablet and showed them a picture a letter Shaffer wrote to him, threatening to kill Asuba's daughter who was in the hospital due to a medical condition.

Lucas read it and nodded at Emma, the two lowered their weapons. Asuba turned to face them and turned off the tablet.

"To be honest, I thought it was wrong to do what they did. Kidnapping, extortion, violence, murder, blackmail, assault... I know Lynx's fraudulent history because the research that belonged to the original scientist behind the concept of what you two are was my great grandfather" Asuba said.

Emma and Lucas were surprised, "That's -"

"- Unbelievable I know, when I heard Camille stole his research I was furious. I hated Lynx and attempted to avoid them at all costs. I started developing some of the earliest upgrades and enhancements, that's when I apparently caught Shaffer's attention. A series of letters were sent to me urging me to join them, I tried to sue them on the grounds of harassment and extortion, but they would always get away with it. Eventually, my daughter Felma fell ill of an unknown disease, I tried to engineer a medicine to cure her, but found no success, so I had her taken to the hospital. Finally, the 100th letter - the one you saw - was sent to me... It was then at that point I had to choose my daughters life or working for the corporation that threatened to kill her. I had no choice, so I started working for them alongside the team on SDG-33... I've witnessed a lot of horrors while working for Lynx, many more than you can fathom. Eventually, my daughter was released from the hospital... But Shaffer still kept me around, kept threatening to murder my wife... My daughter... And my younger son. You see me wear a fake smile and think I enjoy working at Lynx... You're most definitely mistaken"

"That's horrible," Emma said.

"Okay, we believe you... But still, how the hell did you get here?" Lucas asked.

"Y-Your tracking beacons, I came to disable them and get you out of the country," Asuba said, he pulled a tool kit from his coat pocket.

"Fine, by the way, X is here, she's with us so don't hurt her," Emma said.

"I won't I promise," Asuba said, "We should start immediately. The longer your beacons are active, the easier it will be or them to find you guys"

Asuba took them upstairs and entered the apartment where the others were, "What's he doing here?!" Wick shouted.

"He is, believe it or not, on our side. Lynx was blackmailing him" Emma said.

"I am here to remove your tracking beacons. They are active and will give away your location if we don't disable them" The Liepard said.

"What does the beacon look like?" Holly asked.

"It should be a chip with a flashing blue light, when I find it I will destroy it," Asuba answered, he opened the little toolbox he had and started swiftly removing the chip, first was Lucas, he unscrewed the access port on the back of the Eevee's neck and cut a red wire, then he pulled the chip out and stepped on it before closing Lucas's access port.

"Wick" He called.

"Uh we got a problem," Wick said.

Arriving in 6 Black SWAT Trucks were Lynx Termination Squads, each squad had ten Pokemon armed with assault rifles, launchers and some had nothing except for their abilities and moves. They had radar and were looking for a way to get into the building.

Wick ran over, "Can you hurry up?"

"I'm trying" Asuba replied, slightly focused and slightly irritated.

He removed Wick's chip and destroyed it by stepping on it.

Holly ran over to Asuba, The LTS found a broken door and got into the building, "Let's go we need to move quickly they're removing their tracking devices, we can't lose em, pick up the pace!"

Asuba finished removing Sakura's chip.

The teams started going up the stairs, a curious squatter in the building peaked outside. A Bealeaf used Leaf Blade on the squatter this made him scream, a Cinderace shot him in the chest and he fell backwards. Wick and Sakura pulled their weapons from their holsters and waited at the door. At that point, Elaine's chip had been removed and destroyed and they were ready to escape the building.

"Turn off your location on your phones and follow me" Asuba whispered, he turned off the location on his phone first

Elaine got the drive with the SDG-33 files and they followed Asuba to the emergency exit of the building, lucky to have gotten down quickly and quietly as the team searched the building, as they continued down Emma took Lucas's paw and smiled at him, he smiled back.

"Sir, the radar is blank, we can't see them" A Termination squad member shouted.

"Sir, I found the chips" Another squad member shouted.

The lead Pokemon of the squad a Lycanroc entered the room and saw the broken chips on the floor, "Shit, search the area, do not kill anymon not relevant unless they attempt to pick up the phone"

"Yes sir" A squad member replied.

Asuba led them to an older Audi SUV and got them in the car, the sound of the vehicle moving got the captain's attention and he observed the Audi accelerate toward the city.

"Get back to your squad vehicles! They just escaped!" The captain shouted.

"Yes sir! Move out! Code 6-5 let's go!" Another Pokemon shouted

"Isn't this car trackable?" Emma asked.

"I made my own custom GPS system for this car. I programmed it so this vehicle is untraceable. I chose tho use the 2020 Audi A8 because I was originally designing a stealth car for PMCs all over the world but my research couldn't get to the PMCs in time because Shaffer threatened me" Asuba said.

"That's somewhat of a welcoming relief, plus this car is over a hundred years old, that kinda makes it easier for them to forget us.

The Audi turned onto an old rickety bridge and started driving toward modern Tamatsu not far away was a suspension bridge carrying cars and metro trains, Sakura looked and saw headlights moving along the coast of the lawless zone behind them.

"They're on to us! We need to hurry!" She said.

"Shit" Asuba mouthed, he changed gear and started going faster when the car was across he got out and ran over to close the barbed wire fence. The trucks started moving faster and getting closer to them, finally, Asuba got it closed and locked it before running back to his car and driving away. The captain of the death squad squeezed his fist, "Ram the fence!"

"But sir, once the lock on that fence is activated it becomes electrified!" The driver said.

"This is no time to be a pussy! Ram the fucking fence"

The driver gulped, the truck started accelerating faster until it ploughed through it. Sparks flew all over the place as the place when the trucks drifted onto the street the Audi was nowhere to be seen.

"Alert the police, I saw the license plate! Tell them to find the car and to terminate the occupants!" The Lycanroc picked up the radio, "Search the city! When you find them, destroy them!"

"Yes sir" The Pokemon they all replied over the radio.

The end draws near, who will live? Who will die, one thing is for certain. The young Pokemon were in for a wild ride.
