Eight: Message

Focus.

Music.

And dancing.

People, lots of people.

Nothing unexpected from an underground club, if anything, it's exactly what it was imagined.

Eyes.

Eyes are all over the place, drifting from person to person, drunk or getting into that direction of being tipsy.

Anything but sober, expect for the boy dancing within the crowd. Something about his graceful essence and glitter beside his eyes has people taking a double take to his presence, drawn to his fluid dance moves and flirty facial expressions as he's very aware of how he's snatching up attention with his charm.

A charm he learned to manipulate by the best.

His once brunette hair now blonde, he runs his fingers through them effortlessly, smiling to the colors in the ceiling - feeling so alive.

Hwanwoong felt so alive.

However, having fun wasn't the agenda for today.

His eyes kept drifting to the vivid red-haired male by the bar, definitely not too far older than he is. He's watching him attentively, and Hwanwoong is definitely putting on a show for him, up until he got tired of teasing.

Dancing through the crowd, Hwanwoong moves to the other side until he reaches the mirror wall, leaning back against it with a careless smile and eyes closed.

It didn't take long for him to feel a presence standing in front of him, fluttering his eyes open to see the guy who has been eye gawking at him. Hwanwoong grins to his sparkle of interest in his eyes, tracing a finger to the outline of his leather jacket.

"Looks like my hunt is over."

"Your eyes couldn't be anymore needy for attention hm?"

The guy's warm hand traces to his neck, thumb sliding down his bottom lip. Hwanwoong smirks to such question, moving to the side, "Wanna bet?"

And he moves along side the wall, luring him in with his dancing while he followed like a dog on a leash - all the way till Hwanwoong lead them to the bathroom.

The second he stepped inside, the lights flickered off.

Only alighting a familiar glare of glowing orange eyes.

The guy suddenly drops to the floor, gasping for air to the sudden burn he feels on his skin and inside his body as he breathes, his eyes suddenly glowing blue but not being able to do anything.

"A bit worthless to use your aptitude of ice against radiation," The voice behind the orange eyes says, walking closer to him, "Hwang Hyunjin, member of Orchids."

The man with the vivid red hair pants sharply, his vision blurring as he feels the suffocating burn on his throat, unable to even speak.

"I'll be quick, just for your sake since you're surprisingly weaker than others," The voice continued to speak, eyes narrowing, "You're going to go back to Orchids tonight, and you're going to leave a message for me, can you do that?"

Hyunjin is barely breathing by this point, but he still somehow manages to nod back in stutters.

"You are going to leave a message to both Taehyung and Jungkook, separately. They are to go alone to Seoul Forest Park tomorrow at 1300h, and say they must go alone unless they want their wives to end up like their sons by midnight tomorrow night, can you do that for me?"

Wheezing through his breath painfully, Hyunjin grunts, "T-They won't l-listen to me - I'm j-just a goon."

"You're going to make it happen."

The burning on Hyunjin's skin is now boiling, forcing him to yelp as he coughs ferociously, "If you don't, you won't be cured of this radiation that has now entered your body, and you'll die a slow and painful and sudden agonizing death. Understood?"

Hyunjin viciously nods, screeching through the burn.

A hand on his head suddenly pushes all the radiation gone, partially from his body. He's choking on the ground now, wheezing as he rubs his throat with his icy hand, and the voice only tells him, "The radiation will only grow every passing day. A slow yet painful death if you dely this task. If you complete it, tomorrow I'll heal you. I'd listen to me if I were you, now get moving."

With legs weak and rising to his feet, Hyunjin only goes to where he remembered where the door was and escaped quickly out of the bathroom.

The lights flickered back on, having Yeosang standing there where Hyunjin once was with Hwanwoong leaning back against the sink with arms crossed over his chest.

"Could've been a little nicer, he was cute."

Yeosang snaps his eyes to Hwanwoong, sneering his eyes, "Oh I'm sorry, should I have stepped out the bathroom to give you two sometime alone.?

"Well-"

Stepping closer to him now, challenging his answer, Hwanwoong twinkles a snicker, "I would've let you have fun if you wanted to."

"As if -"

"Are you two done?"

The voice from their earphone stirs their attention, Yeosang wincing with a scowl, "What? Mission accomplished."

"You're telling me, that was a fabulous performance Hwannie," Jimin praised adoringly, earning a blushing smile from Hwanwoong, "Based on the cameras, he's out the club and looks like heading to Orchids."

Yeosang rubs his hair, not at all convinced on his willingness, "Fucker better not cross us."

"Even if he did, he has no idea who either of you are, so he can't do anything other than follow directions."

Hwanwoong nods back, "That's true."

Yeosang frowns, not really feeling sure of himself. Throughout this time, which just been a couple of weeks now, everything has been just a haze dream. When Yoongi and Jimin broke out what is truly happening with their parents, it was an even stronger blow on his chest the reality now that Taehyung is not his father anymore - by law that is, since he's not biologically his dad either. No one in his system belong to him, or even remember the memories that Yeosang does of them while growing up.

It all was just.... Erased... Like it didn't exist.

Just like Jungkook's memories of Hwanwoong.

When Hwanwoong was told about this, you can already tell how he took it.

It just.... Broke him apart.

From there the two made a vow together, that no matter what happens from here on out, they were going to burn down those two names of Orchids and Oasis to dust.

Even if it means going against their fathers to do it.

So, within that time being, Jimin didn't even try sugarcoating anything for their sake anymore - they need to learn how to handle themselves too on their own. On the watchlist was Hyunjin; Orchid member, young, and can produce ice. He was their target in getting to what they wanted - their fathers and an access inside. He was their target, and Jimin was the backbone of having eyes and ears inside.

While Jimin did that, Yoongi helped them train.

Not only on their powers, but about this society - people, what's normal, what isn't normal, how to act, who to talk to, what to avoid. It was a tough bootcamp, much less intense compared to when it came down to training their abilities.

Yoongi's revolves around inhaling abilities, mastering it and using it. Doesn't last long, only half an hour before it fades away, but that was perfect for understanding each boy's capability to help them control it. With Yeosang, instead of trying to stop himself from blowing up, to actually do it. He can't die from it, so it won't do harm to his body. The issue is that Yeosang can potentially explode radiation to the whole country, even farther out to the world if he really tried.

So another technique he gave was to focus on it and transmit it to specific parts of his body, whether it's his hands, head, or his legs, anywhere and think that he's the one in control of it while trying to spike his adrenaline. If his adrenaline is spiked, more blood is flowed in his body, what does that mean? His body is working on cooling him down - almost like when you sweat when you run.

If he moves instead of just staying there standing, it'll help him control it better and mellow the levels down.

As for Hwanwoong, looks like there's more to him than meets the eye.

Teleporting wise, it's like water. He has to be calm, even when he's scared because then he won't teleport - kinda like being stuck in place. The main thing he has to focus on is where he wants to go, and he'll be there.

All about confidence, and if he succeeds, he won't just teleport a few people, but a building filled with people if he really tried.

Maybe even the planet.

A powerful ability for a tiny boy.

And not just that ability.

Turns out as Yoongi was able to control his ability, he discovered another ability deep in his body.

Telekinesis.

One so powerful that can change the trajectory to how the Earth moves, destroy a whole country, or create an entirely different one from scratch - shit, he can even bring Atlantis back from underwater if he really tried. But that's just the thing, he can't just move things and objects, but people through their minds. He can pull someone towards him, or away, alternate their way of thinking to however he wants to.

You see, that's a lot of information for an eighteen-year-old boy to sink in, with already a lot going in in his life with his fathers. He didn't even know he had telekinesis, but Yoongi was gentle with him and tried to help him unlock it.

Days upon days of training, here there are, with Hwanwoong perfectly managing to pull Hyunjin with his new ability.

Believe it or not, he was not expecting it to work, and he was nervous as fuck, but to think his parents are to the other side of this man is what helped him through it.

A lot has happened, changes and adjustments, but the plan hasn't.

The goal is still the same.

And it won't change either.

That's how the two ended up leaving the club, knowing tomorrow they have a big day ahead of them.

Taehyung is going insane.

Not just him, but everyone in his head are going insane.

Tigresa has been dormant for a while now, Karma would pop up at random parts of the day unannounced, Eden was out often - which rarely ever happens, and Valencia kept plunging into their heads that something is not right.

They're all always fighting, arguing over each other, and Taehyung can't complete a simple task without them getting in the way!

Just like what happened now.

He was right in the middle of gauging his knife down a previous goon's neck, but as the blood oozed to his hands, Taehyung felt himself dissociate and fuck - he was not okay.

He was not okay, and he knows a lot has to do with Hwanwoong's death.

The thing is, he wanted to grieve, he really did want to grieve his death, but he couldn't.

Something about these memories in his head, about Hwanwoong, it's all just scrambling and it doesn't make sense.

Something in this doesn't make sense and it's driving him so fucking psychotic.

"Looks like you're not in the correct headspace."

Taehyung blinks his multicolor eyes as he forces the pain in his head aside, stumbling to his feet and sneering his eyes to the side - seeing Jungkook standing by the doorway with his camo uniform.

After the death of their kids, Jungkook offically returned to Oasis and the military, while Taehyung remains back to Orchids. The association between the two names are now in ties on the low, dirty business but who's going to make it into a big issue if no one knows about it? Specifically the public?

They got their lives back, it should feel smooth and peaceful now, but yet it.... Doesn't.

Yet the only time Taehyung feels a little sane is when Jungkook is surprisingly around, and he doesn't get it.

He doesn't get it because all the memories he has of Jungkook involves of Jungkook using him, manipulating his head, fucking up his emotions, and just messing his life up. Can't blame him, he killed his parents, so he gets it. He had it coming.

Yet why is Jungkook still here?

He has no business being in Orchids anymore, their sons are dead, they have no association with each other.

Taehyung couldn't help himself but laugh to himself, feeling himself feel this cruise of adrenaline creeping up his skin, "Came to arrest me?"

"That's the law enforcement's job."

"And you are? You're in camo gear."

Jungkook looks down to his suit, staring down heavily towards it, "Doesn't feel the same even when I do wear it," Then he looks back to Taehyung, "I came to talk to you."

Once again did Taehyung want to laugh - like really laugh.

He's losing his mind without a doubt by this point.

He sluggishly trails to Jungkook, twirling the knife between his fingers. Jungkook didn't tense up for a second in intimidation, if anything he stood firmly as Taehyung stand in front of him, the mania blazing his eyes.

"Talk to me? Me?" Taehyung giggles, tilting his head to the side, "We have nothing to talk about. You fucked me up -"

"I know I did, and you did too," Jungkook retorts back, his face firm, "Yet for some reason, I hold no guilt for what I did."

The knife on Taehyung's hand slices through the air, aggressively pissing it to the wall beside the door frame that Jungkook is leaning against. Taehyung is heaving angrily, feeling his entire body shaking in rage.

"You have some audacity -"

"I say that because I don't believe it for it to be true," Jungkook tells him, his gaze fogged as he looks past Taehyung to the dead body on the floor, "Something in me is rejecting this. I don't know what it is, but no matter how much I want to believe these memories in my head are true, I just can't find it in myself to believe them."

Taehyung staggers.

He staggers because this happens to be something Valencia also mentioned before, well through her mental breakdown. She refused to believe Jungkook wasn't anything less than an asset to get into their head, and kill them. She refused it with her whole chest, and she didn't know why.

Now as Jungkook mentions this, Taehyung began to realize why he's even in this state in the first place - Denial. Complete and utter denial.

The ideal normal life in his head, the illusion playing with his memory - falling into the endless waters of it because it's what made sense.

Wheein.

Hwanwoong.

Their life...

The illusion.

A fabricated normality.

Taehyung's gaze strayed, his hand on the knife handle weakening, looking down with in hysteria because now his head is getting even more fucked up than before -

Wait...

No.

He's not going to fuck with his head again!

"You're trying to get to me again," Taehyung whispers manically under his breath, a quivering smile on his lips, "Son of a bitch nearly had me for a second-"

Losing his patience, Jungkook steps into the room kicks the door shut behind him. Within seconds he has Taehyung pinned against the wall with his hands on his jaw, gripping firmly when he tried to fight him back. Jungkook leans to his face, shuttering Taehyung's breath to how it made his chest feel, even his stomach.

Especially when his skin feels Jungkook's ring still on his finger.

"Tell me why when I look at you, you're the only thing that makes sense in my head," Jungkook whispers between them, his thumb caressing his skin, "I'm supposed to hate you, why can't I hate you Taehyung?"

Taehyung gulps thickly, fluttering his eyes to look through his lashes to Jungkook's heavy stare, having something in his blossom with this.... Epiphany.

An epiphany he can't understand, but it's feeling something more than just hate for this man in front of him.

Tugging his lips with his teeth, Taehyung stutters under his breath, "I don't know what's real anymore Jungkook" He whispers back, his bloody hand moving up and tracing to Jungkook's face, tracing his jaw, "But I'm married to my wife, and you're no longer part of my life."

And he eases him back with a hand to his chest, but Jungkook places a hand over his, the ring glowing back to him.

Both of their rings.

Their rings....

The longer Taehyung stares at it, the more he felt a coil in his chest that he can't seem to rip out.

But there's one thing he can.

Yanking his hand away from his, Taehyung wraps his fingers around his own ring and tugs on it brutally. The bolt is such a perfect fit on his finger that he couldn't even simply take it out with a simple pull, he had to move the ring around before it finally came free from his hand.

And that right there.... It was like it all broke off.

That feeling, the voices, the guilt, everything.

It all turned off.

Staring at the ring with such a hateful stare in his eyes, he looks at Jungkook - who's staring at him with lips ajar and tears whelming up in them, especially when Taehyung throws it to his chest, to which Jungkook didn't catch fast enough to have it fall to the ground.

"I don't want anything associated with you, so stop seeing me!"

"Tae -"

"Fuck you," And Taehyung goes to door and yanks it open.

Right when he was about to step out, someone was already on the other side ready to knock - just as Jungkook was going to reach for him to stop him.

This person is someone Taehyung has seen a couple times herein Orchids, but not enough to consider him someone he knows.

Hyunjin, that's all he knows.

The boy looks at him and then past his shoulder, seeing Jungkook there too.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to -" Hyunjin starts off but grunts under his breath as he rubs his neck, wincing as he looks at them now a bit desperately now, "Actually you two are who I needed to see, I have a message."

[Note]:

Nothing like falling in love all over again.

Wonwoo mentioned there's a way to snap them out of it, or more so break through their memory again, any ideas what it could be?

Hmmm we'll see!

Lots of love <3
